A/N: Sorry... I meant to get to this sooner, but on the 19th I injured my knee, because of that I wasn't up to writing... But after a week, I'm up to it again... Well the Enies Lobby Arc is coming to a close... and it's the last chapter with a certain something. Enjoy!

Chapter 266: Merry's Final Goodbye

Rob Lucci was the most dangerous assassin the world government had. And with a shout of "Gum Gum Jet Gatling!" he was defeated. Luffy had won!

Everyone celebrated with cheering and happiness.

"Luffy won!" yelled Usopp.

"All right! Luffy did!" cheered Naruto.

"I can't belie he won…" whispered Kalifa.

"Wait to go Straw Hat!" called out a voice on the Snail Phone.

Several more voices called out with the use of the Snail Phone and the Straw Hat realized who it was, the Franky Family, Galley-La, Yokozuna and the giants, they survived thanks to Paulie's rope. Also he had gotten their own way off the island.

"You jerks! I wasn't worried about you or anything!" cried Franky so happy that they were alive.

"Hey…" thought Naruto, "Why didn't you tell us they were alive?"

"Because last time something similar to this happened the guy turned out to be dead." Said Kyubi.

"Wait last time." Thought Naruto.

"Never mind…" said Kyubi, "Don't dwell on it."

However Naruto couldn't swell on it thanks to the marines attack him.

As the fighting went on, the Marines knew it was best to keep a watch on Luffy.

However thanks to the intense fighting he had yet to get up.

"Luffy what are you doing!" yelled Usopp, "Come over here! It's all for nothing if we don't escape!"

"Come you can do it!" yelled Naruto.

"I know." Said Luffy.

"Gum Gum Fly over here!" yelled Usopp.

"Actually the move is Gum Gum Rocket." said Naruto.

"That's besides that point…" mumbled Usopp, "We're surrounded by warships."

"It's no use!" yelled Luffy, "I can't move my body."

"Please try harder! We got Robin back and we beat everyone!" yelled Usopp.

"Come on Usopp! We'll take the ship to Luffy!" called Nami.

Unfortunately the Marines blew up the ship they were planning to use to escape.

"What! No!" yelled Nami.

"You really didn't think they would try that?" asked Kalifa.

"No…" mumbled Nami.

"Wait, what about the others?" asked Hinata.

Thankfully Sanji finally showed up again carrying those that didn't make it off the ship.

"Where were you!" yelled Ino.

"I had some business to attend to." Said Sanji, "I didn't think they would open fire because of Robin… but the ship…"

"Let the old lady go and die pirate!" yelled a random marine trying to stab Nami.

"No one's dying here!" yelled Kokoro kicking the marine.

"You know the whole hostage thing doesn't work if you help us." Said Kalifa.

"You could do the same." Said Kokoro.

"No I can't, not after the speech I did." Said Kalifa, "Plus there was a few more things I wanted to get off my chest what I wasn't able to."

"Oh you mean leave a gif?" asked Kokoro.

"You know we're fighting here!" yelled Ino, "Can you have this conversation later?"

However the marines began to fire more and more at the bridge, they had to run for their lives… soon enough all that was left of the bridge was an area around the pillar.

"This is really bad." Said Sakura.

"Come on Luffy! Please get up!" yelled Naruto.

Many cheers filled the air to get Luffy up and about.

However all of the Straw Hats all heard a voice telling them to look down.

"What was that voice?" asked Usopp.

"It's my crew…" said Franky.

"He couldn't hear the voice." Said Gaara.

Usopp decided to look down and what he saw shocked him. Chopper and Isaribi also got a chance to look down.

"No way…" said Isaribi.

It can't be…" cried Chopper.

"We have to jump into the see!" yelled Usopp he turned to Robin, "Do you think you can push Luffy into the sea?"

"Leave it to me." Said Robin.

"No you want to kill us all!" yelled Zoro.

"There's still one more crew member and she came to save us! She's here!" yelled Usopp.

"Listen to him! He knows what he's talking about." Said Isaribi.

"Wait… Chopper did you see what's down there?" asked Nami.

At the same time there're was an order to bomb where Luffy was.

They all knew they had to belie n Usopp, Isaribi and Chopper. And they jumped for it…

"Everyone! Come on let's go together to the seas of adventure!" said the voice that only the Straw Hats could here.

What was there?

The Going Merry!

"I came for you." Said the voice.

Thanks to Gaara using his sand, they all got onto the ship.

"How did this make it?" asked Usopp.

"It should be impossible." Said Franky.

"IT was let out into the storming sea." Said Kalifa.

"Who brought her here?" asked Nami.

"I don't know, let's worry about that later." Said Sakura.

"That was a close one!" yelled Luffy, "Thank Robin with out I thought we were going to die!"

However Robin sprouted a hand to shut his mouth.

She smiled at everyone.

"Thank you everyone." Said Robin.

The crew, Franky as well as Kokoro, Chimney and Gonbe.

"I don't know if I should be thanked." Said Kalifa.

Of course the usual stuff started up with Sanji and Zoro fighting.

"Sanji take the helm!" ordered Nami.

"Okay Nami!" said Sanji.

"You just had to give that order." Said Ino.

"It worked, didn't it?" asked Nami.

However that was when they heard, "Blow the ship and her crew out of the water! Those are orders from Admiral Aokiji! All ships prepare to fire!"

"That little…" muttered Kalifa.

"The freak is still alive!" yelled Franky.

When the ships approached they all got nervous.

They were aimed at them. The shots were fired but all of them missed, some of them even hitting each other. Why? Because the gates of Justice were closing. And because of that whirlpools were starting to form.

The maries were starting to freak out wondering who closed it.

"That worked out better than I thought." Said Sanji.

"You were the one to close them?" asked Ino.

"We weren't going to make it on hard work alone." Said Sanji.

Of course everyone began to praise Sanji.

"We aren't out of the woods yet. The whirlpool is a threat to us." Said Zoro.

"No it isn't. "said Nami, "The merry can sail any sea."

"Isn't the Keel heavily damaged though?" asked Kalifa.

"She's right you know." Said Franky.

"Will you do shut up… now's not the time." Muttered Sakura glaring at them.

Tanks to Nami's navigational skills they made it out the area. However the marines shot more cannon balls at them.

"It will be a direct hit!" said Hinata.

However Zoro and Naruto grabbed Luffy and used him to deflect the cannon balls back at them.

They countrified to ride the currents.

However this only made Spandam angrier that they were getting away.

However, Robin knew that that it was time to get her revenge. As he stood on the side of one of many battle ships, she grabbed him with her powers and broke his back.

"And if you're still alive you deserved you bastard!" yelled Kalifa.

"Okay Franky!" said Nami who worked out a plan with him earlier.

"It's going to be on her." Said Franky.

And so Franky used Coup de Vent, which launched the ship into the air. With Usopp sending on last smoke star to blind the ships.

And with that the Straw Hats got away.

Luffy snugged with the ram's head.

"You know… this entire crew is in trouble." Said Kalifa.

"You sullied the their flag." Said Franky.

"That doesn't matter! We got back what they took away from them!" said Luffy.

"We won this fight!" cheered Naruto.

As they continued sailing… Usopp mysteriously disappeared.

By which it means he put his Sogeking mask back on.

"Does anyone know where Usopp went to?" asked Luffy, "He disappeared."

"Oh you want to know." Said Naruto, "Well the truth is."

"No don't tell them kit." Said Kyubi, "It will ruin their childlike like innocence."

Naruto blinked, "Fine if you think it's a good idea." Thought Naruto.

"What?" asked Kyubi.

"It's for the best…" said Naruto.

"Please tell me you're messing with them…" said Kyubi.

Naruto looked at Sogeking (who was telling Luffy and Chopper that Usopp let in a small boat). And sighed, he figured it would probably be better if Luffy found out for himself.

"I bet it will take 10 years." Said Kyubi.

"I checked all over." Said Nami, "There's no one else here."

"That's weird." Said Sanji.

"I have heard of legends of this happening… but I always thought they were just tall tales." Said Isaribi.

"You mean about hearing a ship's voice?" asked Gaara.

Isaribi nodded.

"It was all in our heads, is all." Said Ino.

"But that doesn't explain how we all heard it." Said Hinata.

"I don't know maybe we some how heard the voices of Shukaku or Kyubi." Said Sakura.

"We've heard Shukaku's voice, it sounds nothing like that." Said Kiba.

"And Kyubi is too much of a dick to say something like that." Said Naruto.

"I'm not a dick, I'm a troll… there's a difference." Said Kyubi.

"I still say it was the Going Merry!" said Luffy, "Come on Merry say something!"

"Ship's don't talk." Said Zoro.

"I thought the same thing…" said Nami.

However both Usopp and Franky were quiet.

"Hey there's another ship coming." Said Hinata.

"Who is it?" asked Ino.

"It's Galley-La!" said Kalifa.

They saw the ship approach.

"Ice Guy." Said Luffy happily.

"Iceidiot…" said Franky.

Iceberg is still alive?" asked Kalifa, "Oh man…"

"Well…" said Franky, "This is going to be awkward." Said Franky.

Kalifa glared at him.

That was when suddenly the entire front their of the Going Merry broke up.

"How the hell did this happen?" asked Naruto.

"You haven't been paying attention have you?" asked Kyubi.

'How could Merry fall apart all of a sudden?" asked Luffy.

"It's not all of a suddenly." Said Isaribi, "They said it will never sail again, remember."

{Please you're all shipwrights!" begged Luffy, "/Please fix Merry She's not just a ship but also a dear friend! She just rescued us just now."

"Then it's time to let her go." Said Iceberg.

During Aqua Laguna, Iceberg had found the Going Merry and fixed her up having heard her voice.

"Right now I'm looking at a miracle. The miracle of a ship that has gone beyond it's limits." Said Iceberg, "I've been a shipwright for many years but I have never seen an incredible pirate as this one. She has lived a splendid life."

There was a silence.

"I get it." Said Luffy.

The Going Merry was evacuated. They all remained on a small boat expect for Luffy who was on a small lifeboat.

"Is everyone ready." Said Luffy.

Those watching nodded.

"The sea floor is dark and lonely so we're remain here until you're gone." Said Luffy holding a torch.

He lit the Going Merry on fire, giving her a Viking funeral.

"Maybe it's a good thing that Usopp isn't here, he would have hated it." Said Luffy.

"So… are you torn up?" asked Kiba.

"No like all men we have to part ways." Said Sogeking, "I mustn't shed a single tear."

"If you say so." Said Kiba.

"You carried us for a long time." Said Luffy, "Good by Merry."

That was when it started snowing.

As the ship burned, they remember all of the good times, getting, going to the Grand Line, ending up in the Calm Belt and running into Sanbi, getting swallowed into a giant gold fish and being shot out. Going into the sky and coming back down.

"I'm sorry." Said the Going Merry, "I wanted to carry you further."

Everyone was surprised, now they could all hear her voice.

"I'm sorry… I wanted to continue on sailing forever, but I..." said the Going Merry.

"We're the ones who should be sorry Merry." Said Luffy, "I wasn't' good at steering to I crashed you into icebergs, I tore up your sails, Sanji and Zoro are idiots so they broke stuff a lot, Gaara keeps getting sand everywhere during fights and Usopp tries to fix you but he sucks as it. We're the ones who should be sorry!"

"Even so…" said The Going Merry, "I was happy. Thank you for caring about me."

Many of the crew were crying, other were silent about it. After all Merry had a soul, she was one of them…

And on that day, she was gone… but she was loved and that's why she had one… Bur really in end as long as they remember her, she really wasn't gone… now was she?

Next Time: The Straw Hats are back in Water 7. Franky reveals what he bought with the stolen money and plans to give it the Straw Hats. However Vice Admiral Garp arrives at Water 7... and he wants to see Luffy. Why? And why are Naruto and Hinata so nervous about him. Find out next time!
