Chapter 273: Usopp's Tears

A few days before Franky's free show, Sanji, Kiba and Sasuke all decided to tell the rest of the crew what they saw.

"Usopp wants to come back." Said Luffy happily.

"Yeah he was practicing on the sea shore." Said Sanji.

"But I don't think really gets what's going on." Said Kiba, "His usual big head assumes that you'll want to apologize to him."

"He's right…" said Sasuke, "Whatever he thinks is going to be your reaction probably isn't his reaction."

"All right! Let's go get him!" said Luffy.

"DID YOU EVEN LISTEN TO US!" yelled both Kiba and Sasuke.

"Wait all of you!" yelled Zoro.

Everyone turned to Zoro.

"I'm not going to let you get him." Said Zoro.

"What? Why?" asked Nami.

"Shut up!" yelled Zoro then he calmed down a little, "Whatever Luffy and Usopp were thinking when they started their duel. Whoever was right and who was wrong doesn't matter. When two men have a duel the only thing that matters is who wins. Usopp lost! And he left the ship on his own."

A silence filled the room.

"Listen all of you, Luffy might be an idiot, but he's the captain. We're better off without a cremate who can't respect the captain. A crew that doesn't respect the captain and a captain that doesn't deserve respect is a crew who's destined to fail." Said Zoro.

Zoro grabbed Luffy[s fact.

"I don't care under normal circumstances we screw you over. But you're still the captain and you still outrank me. If you don't act like a captain then I'll be the net one to leave."

"You're just making things more complicated." said Nami.

"It's fine that he wants to come back. But if doesn't' confess to what he did and just tries to snake back on as if nothing happened I won't forgive him. If that's the case we're just going to leave him on this island."

"Wait Zoro! We know he's at fault but we can just tell him that after he's back." Said Nami.

"So the fact he left meant nothing to you?" asked Zoro.

"You're just being a hypocrite." Said Naruto.

"What?" asked Zoro.

"When Usopp wants back in you don't' want him back but when we drag back Sasuke…" said Naruto.

Sasuke girt tend his teeth in anger.

"What happened with Sasuke was diffren.t" said Zoro, "Besides Sasuke genuinely apologized for what happened and realized it was a mistake."

Everyone was silent after pointing that out.

"If he pulls stunts like this on a whim there's no way we can trust him. It's simple. If the first thing out of his mouth is an apology if it's anything but that then he's not allowed back in the crew. We aren't playing a game of pirates here." Said Zoro.

"You're right." Sighed Luffy, "We went our spate ways. But we still have a couple days until the ship is ready. There's still time before we leave. So we should just shut up and wait for him…"

Back in the present, the Straw Hats were getting ready to set sail.

"Are you sure about this?" asked Naruto.

"Shouldn't you wait for him a bit more." Said Franky.

"I gave him his chance and he didn't come over." Said Luffy.

"Probably had to go through every single thing in his mind for us begging him to come back." Said Kiba.

Luffy of course ignored this.

"I made sure that room was never completely empty. And I waited there the entire time. That's his answer. I'm sure he won't completely quit being a pirate. I hope we'll meet him again on the seas." Said Luffy.

"Or he'll run back home and end up with Kaya." Said Kiba.

"So he does like her…" said Sakura, "I though he did…"

"Do I want to know…" said Isaribi.

"Those two joined before I did so I don't know either…" said Ino.

That was when they noticed a Marine ship coming in close.

"Looks like they didn't let us off because of that reason." Said Sasuke with a sweat drop.

"Luffy can you hear me, this is you grandpa." Called out Garp using a megaphone.

"Hey Grandpa what's going on!" yelled Luffy, "You said you're going to do anything!"

"Luffy remember his reason was because "He's my grandson…" muttered Sakura.

"A lot of stuff happened… I'm sorry but I'm going to send you to a watery grave." Said Garp, "I don't know if this will make it up to you but I'm going to fight you single handedly."

"Does he mean by that?" asked Kiba.

That was when they saw that he threw a cannon ball at them.

Yes… that's what he did.

"Well you can't say their not relegated…" said Kyubi.

"We have to get out of here right now!" said Nami.

As it turns out Garp was brought out a whole rack of cannon balls that he could toss at the new ship.

During this time Usopp finally showed up…

"Usopp's here." Said Chopper happily.

"Really." Said Robin.

While Usopp ran towards the ship which of course was leaving… and being rained by cannon balls.

"Hey guys it's me! Rejoice!" yelled Usopp, "Now that I'm back I can be your first mate since Naruto never took the position."

He countrified talking however the group deflecting the many cannon balls all decided not to pretend not to hear him.

"Please! He's calling out to us!" said Chopper.

Back on the shore Usopp stared at the boat.

"Quit Joking around…" he muttered, "What is this… you're seriously leaving me… Fine then see if I care."

He fell to his knees.

"If you're going to be like that let me say one thing…" mumbled Usopp.

He began to tear up and he yelled as loudly as possible.

"I'M SORRY!"

Tears steamed down his cheeks and his nose ran beyond belief.

"I'm sorry for being so stubborn! I'm sorry!" he cried.

The crew looked at him.

"I know I'm being pathetic and I know I said I quit. Can I take it back! Please let me take it back!" he cried.

Luffy stopped fighting and looked at Usopp, Kiba's who's skills were not good at deflecting cannon balls tossed by an old man stood next to Luffy.

"Please forgive me! I just want to be with you guys! One more time!" he yelled, "Please le me join!"

"Luffy…" said Kiba.

However Kiba didn't need to that, as Luffy stretched out his hand to grab Usopp.

"You idiom grab on!" cried Luffy who was tearing up more than Usopp.

"You're the idiom…" said Kiba with a sweat drop.

With one pull Usopp was back on the ship.

And with that the crew was truly reunited.

Although Luffy still hadn't figure out that Usopp was Sogeking… So yeah…
