Chapter 280: Still More Zombies
Nami was still being held against the wall. However thankfully Usopp, Chopper and Ino held the yell. And Ino came running in.
"Nami what's wrong!" yelled Ino.
"Is it because you can smell Usopp's stinky fart in there?" asked Chopper from the hallway.
"It's not because of that!" yelled Ino.
Ino turned back to Nami and saw there was something definitely wrong.
Ino kicked the air around Nami and managed to hit whatever it was holding her down.
"Thank you…" said Nami.
"What's going on?" asked Usopp coming in with Chopper. Usopp then noticed Nami was naked, "Thank you so much for this!"
"You idiot help me with the invisible thing!" yelled Ino.
"What?" asked Usopp.
"I smell it, there's someone in here." Said Chopper.
"My fart wasn't that bad." Said Usopp.
"I'm not talking about the fart!" yelled Chopper.
Nami and Ino face palmed.
That was when they noticed that the near by window was opening up on it's own.
Usopp knew what to do and shot an exploding star at the window.
Ino while Usopp was distracted gave Nami a towel to cover herself. However Nami realized something.
"He was in here the whole time…" said Nami, "He knows about our plans…"
"This is really bad…" said Ino.
Meanwhile with Luffy's group the Thousand Sunny somehow managed to drift into a giant spider web. However the Thousand Sunny wasn't the one ship in the spider web, both Brook's ship and the Mini-Merry were trapped too.
Not only that but they right at an entrance to the island.
"I wonder where they are…" said Sakura.
"They must be on the island if there not there..." said Gaara.
"Everything about this screams it's a trap." Said Zoro.
"I know what else can we do…" said Sakura.
"Hey! Aren't you coming along!" called out Luffy who was already headed to the entrance.
"Seriously!" yelled Sakura.
Everyone in the crew joined Luffy and headed to the entrance. They went down the stairs into the canal that was filled with skeletons.
Unfortunately none of them noticed…
That was when the group came across the Cerberus.
"It's kind of cute." Said Robin.
"What? Seriously?" asked Sakura.
"Is that thing wanting to pick a fight with us?" asked Franky.
"Probably…" said Kiba.
"Do you think it tastes good." Said Luffy.
"No… it probably doesn't…" said Isaribi.
The Cerberus growled.
"It does want to fight." Sighed Zoro, "I'll take care of it."
"No wait, let me…" said Luffy, "I want to see if I can tame it."
"All right!" said Naruto.
"This can only end well…" said Kyubi sarcastically.
"IT might look like a dog but it's like the boss of all dogs." Said Zoro.
Zoro didn't feel the glare from Akamaru when he said that.
"But a dog is still a dog, right?" asked Luffy, "Shake boy!"
Of course the Cerberus bit Luffy.
Which shouldn't be much of a surprise.
This just made everyone sweat drop.
"Right after we warned him." Muttered Franky.
"He just has him where he wants him." Laughed Naruto.
"Seriously?" asked Sanji, "Because it looks like he's biting him."
"There, there…" said Luffy petting the Cerberus as the dog started letting go, "That's a good boy… slowly, and slowly…"
The dog listened… then Luffy punched all three heads at once, causing the crew to sweat drop.
"Okay…" said the crew at the same time.
"I knew he could do it!" said Naruto.
"You were the only one…" said Kyubi.
"Look at these terrible wounds…" said Robin.
"I wonder how it's alive…" said Isaribi.
"Hey! Naruto isn't this a fox head?" asked Kiba.
"It is…" said Naruto.
"There's something wrong about that Cerberus." Said Kyubi.
"What do you mean?" asked Naruto.
"I don't know yet…" said Kyubi, "But I can't help but to shake it off."
With Luffy's new pet Cerberus, they headed through the canal to find the woods.
"We got to see something fun right away!" laughed Luffy.
"Nami! Ino!" yelled Sanji.
Chopper!" yelled Sakura.
"Usopp!" called Kiba.
"Poor dog." Said Robin as the Cerberus was being used as a steed by Naruto, Luffy, Franky and Hinata, "It doesn't look happy."
"Don't patronize it." Said Zoro, "Even a dog has it's pride."
That was when they saw a bizarre sight…
It was a geezer tree having a drink with a unicorn.
"A geezer tree is having a drink with a unicorn…" said Luffy repeating said narration
"All right Kit! Catch that unicorn!" ordered Kyubi.
"Don't need to tell me twice!" said Naruto.
Naruto tackled the unicorn and Luffy got the geezer tree.
"Now kit! I want you to ask where Equestria is…" said Kyubi.
"What?" thought Naruto.
"Oh yeah… you won't get the joke…" said Kyubi.
Luffy on the other hand…
"Hey you want to join my crew?" he asked.
"Stop that!" yelled Sakura punching him in the head.
Back in the mansion, the group that was trapped was trying to find they're way out of the mansion.
Usopp was in complete and utter denial was about what going on…
"The ghosts are just birds, the invisible man was just my imagination and the zombies are just people who live underground in a graveyard…" said Usopp.
"That is some deep denial…" said Ino.
"Look just because of the skeleton doesn't mean it's all true… I mean he ate a Devil Fruit and Devil Fruit only exist one at a time…" said Usopp, "There's nothing else on the island that came back from the dead, it's impossible."
"I should agree with you." Said Chopper, "But Doctor Hogback is studying this island and he gave up his fame to do so. So there might just be a miracle going on here…"
"Chopper…" said Ino, "He's the one behind it."
"I have to agree with Ino." Said Nami.
"Doctor Hogback is a great man! How can you accuse him of working with the zombies! There's no proof of that!" yelled Chopper.
"No but this place is creepy." Said Nami.
"Really, really creepy…" said Ino.
They managed to get to the dinning room where it was now very dark.
"Doctor Hogback! Cindry!" called out Ino.
"Sorry to say but both of them went to bed already." Said a voice.
They looked up and Hildon.
"You jerk you left us back in the cemetery!" yelled Usopp.
"I'm sorry, but I went to the bathroom with the horses." Said Hilden, "And when I came back you were all gone…"
"You liar!" yelled Ino, "It wouldn't take 10 minutes to do that!"
"Have you ever tired taking a horse to the bathroom, it does take a while…" he countered, "I assure you nothing is going on here. Just let me guide you to your bedrooms."
"Trying to guide us again?" asked Usopp.
"It's not going to work." Said Ino.
"We're leaving!" said Nami.
"Wait! Just I want to ask Doctor Hogback more questions!" said Chopper.
They heard laughter.
"Looks like you got shot down Hildon." Said the person laughing.
"Leave me alone, I'll take them to their rooms." Said Hildon.
Chopper saw who was talking, it was the painting on a woman.
"Just give it up, we minds do it before they can get away." Said the painting.
"The paining." Said Chopper.
The painting of the woman, reached out and grabbed Chopper.
Up on the wall a stuffed pig head began to throw swords at them. The stuffed pig head gave and introduction but no one listen… mostly because the rug that they were standing came alive as well. IT was a gait bearskin rug but to be clear.
It knocked away Ino and Nami while Usopp ended up on the chandelier.
Thanks to Usopp though some of the candles fell on the bear skin rug zombie causing the others to freak out… this allowed them to flee towards the doors however they were locked.
They had to escape by other means, as the zombies chased into what they thought was a door way.,
However…
"This is a fireplace!" yelled Ino.
All of them huddled together in the fireplace terrified out of them minds but as it turns out it was a secret door way. And they came out the other side.
"Where are we?" asked Nami.
"I don't know but we can find another way out." Said Ino.
"And there shouldn't be any more zombies." Said Usopp breathing a sigh of a relief.
One Minute Later…
The group was once again fleeing from some zombies.
"You just had to say it didn't' you?" asked Ino.
"Don't' blame me." Said Usopp.
They got to a door and found themselves in a rather nice room. It was filled with pictures that definitely weren't zombies.
And all of the pictures were of Cindry, they showed her all smiling and looking beautiful.
"What is this rooms?" asked Ino.
"Isn't that girl…" said Nami.
"Why would there pictures of her here?" asked Chopper.
And so they found themselves in a rather strange room and little did they know that thing were going to get more completed after entering that room.
Next Time: Both groups learn secrets about Thriller Bark... namely something about Cindry while Luffy's group learns about who has been stealing the shadows. Not only that but Luffy's group must find a way to stop them... however one of victims still has some fight in her and wants to help! Who is she? Find out next time!
