Chapter 290: The Counterattack on Thriller Bark

The Crew was strategizing their plans. The first plan was the obvious one.

"We have to find the zombies that have our shadows." Said Zoro.

"That's right! I can't wait to beat that zombie!" said Fu.

"But it might be a bad idea since Luffy's is giant." Said Chopper.

"We don't have to look for the zombies." Said Luffy.

"Why?" asked Naruto.

"Remember what the guy said, we have to beat up Moria and the shadows will just go back." Said Luffy.

"He did say that…" said Isaribi.

"So Moria's at the top of those stairs, right?" asked Luffy.

They noticed the stairs realizing they can't argue with Luffy at this point.

"So anyway I'm going to beat Moria." Laughed Luffy.

"But he's a War Lord of the Sea, you really think you can take him on?" asked Fu.

"I beat up Crocodile." Laughed Luffy.

"Really? Awesome!" said Fu.

"Yeah, but Crocodile nearly killed you." Muttered Chopper.

"The shadows will come back when I beat him up." Said Luffy, "Hey Sanji you can get Nami, right?"

"Of course!" yelled Sanji s the fires of anger and passion surrounding him, "I don't care if he's invisible… I will kick hi so hard…"

"I'll go with him." Said Ino, "To make sure he doesn't kill him."

"Wait you really think that invisible guy is that strong?" asked Usopp.

"No… wait let me rephrase that." Said Ino, "To make sure that Sanji doesn't kill him."

Usopp sweat dropped, he should have known that would be the thing she meant.

"You don't honestly think…" said Usopp.

"There's another reason beyond anything to do with Nami that Sanji will hate the guy for…" said Ino, "It's not going to be a pretty fight…"

"Is this about how he saw Nami naked in the bath?" asked Usopp.

Ino shut his mouth.

"I just said it had nothing to do with Nami!" yelled Ino.

"He did what to Nami!" yelled Sanji getting more fired up.

"You just had to say that…" muttered Ino.

"Well I think I'll join Sanji… since I feel kind of responsible for letting Nami get captured." Said Usopp.

"Obviously…" said Ino with a sweat drop.

"I think I'll go rescue Nami too." Sighed Sakura.

"I think I'm going to look for the skeleton." Said Franky, "I'm worried about his battle…"

"I think I'll join you." Said Isaribi.

"Same here, if it's true, then I want to see this legendary samurai…" said Zoro referring to what he heard about Brook's zombie so far.

"Hey… is okay if I go find my zombie…" said Fu, "I fought her so many times and I keep getting beaten…"

"If you want to." Said Luffy.

"All right!" cheered Fu.

"I'll go with her." Said Naruto.

"Same here…" whispered Hinata.

"Really, thanks…" said Isaribi.

"Looks like we have three priories, the skeleton, Nami and Fu's zombie." Said Robin.

"When we get those done then we can beat Moria." Said Luffy, "It will be just like Crocodile!"

"But I already told you he nearly killed you." Said Chopper.

Of course Chopper's comment was ignored.

Usopp began to toss them all salt.

"Here… each of you take a bag." he said, "This is a special zombie death ball I made."

"I guess there was a lot time planning." Said Kiba.

"Yeah…" sighed Isaribi.

"None of you really understand the concept of danger." Muttered Usopp.

"You got that right." Sighed Ino.

"No matter how thick this fog might be there is no guarantee the sun won't shine through it. So we have to treat the sun rise as a final deadline." Said Usopp.

"It will suck if we don't get anything to eat before sunrise." Said Luffy.

"That's not the point!" yelled Sakura, "We have to get our shadows back! And rescue Nami! Think of food second!"

"But..." said Luffy.

Sakura glared at him.

"I would have through that Sakura would be in a good mood since she gets to see Sasuke naked after all this…" said Naruto.

"It's complicated." Whispered Hinata.

"Please don't bring up the naked thing…" said Sasuke.

"Let's go!" said Naruto.

And so they headed towards the stairs. The groups after Nami and Moria taking the higher stair (Luffy, Robin, Chopper, Usopp, Sanji, Sakura and Ino) while the groups going after Fu's zombie and Brook (Franky, Isaribi, Zoro, Sasuke, Kiba (with Akamaru), Naruto, Hinata, Gaara and Fu) took the lower route.

With the upper group of course they ran into zombies. IT was pretty much a slaughter with Sanji and Luffy beating most of them up.

"Should have known those two would handle most of the work." Said Ino.

That was when both of them stopped, the ghosts had reappeared.

"What's wrong with them?" asked Ino.

"Those ghosts touch any and make them depressed." Explained Sakura.

"Seriously?" asked Ino.

The zombies captured them but it was an easy rescue. Chopper went into heavy point and grabbed Luffy while Usopp grabbed Sanji.

"We have to get away from those ghosts." Said Sakura.

"Why aren't you carrying him!" yelled Usopp.

As they ran away from those ghosts. However suddenly Oars (Luffy's zombie) jumped down from the sky crashing through the bridge they were crossing.

While Chopper (and Luffy), Robin, Sakura, while Ino, Sanji and Usopp all fell down.

"What happened?" asked Luffy regaining his composure.

"They all fell down." Sighed Robin.

"Are they going to be all right?" asked Chopper.

"They should be fine…" sighed Sakura "I guess I'm not going to be part of the rescue Nami mission after all."

With the lower group they saw that suddenly they were blocked.

"What the heck is that?" asked Naruto.

"It seems like a wall." Said Zoro.

That was when Sanji, Usopp and Ino all landed behind them.

"You okay?" asked Hinata.

"Fine and dandy…" muttered Ino recovering from the fall.

They saw that Naruto, Frankly and Zoro were trying to get rid of the wall.

"Uh… guys… that's not a wall…" said Isaribi.

"Then what is it?" asked Naruto.

That was when they noticed, in deed it wasn't a wall but Oars.

"It's Luffy's zombie…" mumbled Usopp.

"Seriously!" yelled most of the group.

Indeed the counterattack had began… but will it will pan out of the Straw Hats? Only time will tell…

Next Time: After managing to find away across the empty bridge, they find the girl who controls the ghosts. But since she can control them there's no way to beat her... or is there? Could one of them be immune to the ghosts? If so who... find out next time!
