Chapter 291: Perona's Epic Fail Face

The group at the base of the zombie gaped at the well… the gigantic zombie.

"If that's Luffy's zombie I hope mine's just as big…" said Naruto.

"Seriously…" muttered Kyubi, "Now's the not the time to think about it… but something tells me he's really small…"

"What? Why?" thought Naruto.

"Just a fell feeling…" said Kyubi.

Meanwhile with the zombies getting ready for the fight, Hinata's zombie sitting there looking at her hands.

"Hey what's wrong?" asked Yagura.

"I'm useless as a zombie, I can't do anything." Said Hinata's zombie, "I don't have Chi so why am I general zombie."

"Don't worry, I'm sure it will be fine." Said Yagura

"Really?" asked the female zombie.

They both looked at each other and began to blush then looked away.

"If you want to you can help me…" said Yagura.

"That would be nice…" said the zombie.

Some of the zombies were looking at them.

"I wonder what's going on between them." Said one of the zombies.

"I have no idea…" said another.

Back with Luffy's group they counted running down the hall.

"So it's this way right?" asked Luffy.

"That's right, where you got your shadow stolen is this way." Confirmed Chopper.

As they headed along they encountered Doctor Hogback kind Cindry.

"Hogback…" growled Chopper.

"Wait's that's Doctor Hogback?" asked Sakura in shock.

Much like Chopper she had heard many stories about him.

"He's the guy who works for Moira? Should I beat him up too?" asked Luffy.

"No Luffy." Said Chopper, "I'll handle him."

Luffy was surprised.

"Go on without us Luffy!" said Sakura, "You can handle him!"

"The doors are right over there." Said Chopper.

"Okay!" said Luffy.

"How dare you try to get to Master Moria before fighting me first! Cindry get him!" yelled Doctor Hogback.

Cindry began to throw plate at Luffy who dodged them.

Robin grabbed her hands so Luffy wouldn't be hit by the dinner plates.

Luffy managed to get away.

"Hogback!" yelled Chopper again, as he was in full reindeer form when he arrived, he shifted into his Bran Point.

"I've lost all respect for you." Said Chopper, "You don't deserve to be called a doctor!"

"Oh Dr. Chopper I didn't recons you." Said Doctor Hogback, "You must be a Zoan user. I don't know how you how you got out of Perona's garden But now I won't let you get away with your shadow."

Then Doctor Hogback realized something and grinned and evil grin.

"Better yet how I about after your dead I use your body…" said Doctor Hogback, "Then they'll be the ones to you."

In walked the zombie that used two sword, the muscle bound zombie, the zombie that acted like Zoro and finally Inuppe.

Back with the other group they watched in horror as Oars looked around.

"It's going to kill us…" whimpered Usopp.

We have to find a way to stop it!" said Naruto.

"Right!" said Fu.

The zombie reached out at them.

Then it grabbed a chunk of wall and put its on it's head.

"What is it doing?" asked Isaribi wit her eye twitching.

"That feels just right." Said Oars, then began to walk away, "Yeah that's more like it! I can't become king of the pirates…"

Most of the crew stared as Oars walked away, especially when he talked about he freaked when the building fell down.

"That's Luffy all right…" said Isaribi.

"He fights like Luffy and he's a giant." Said Kiba messaging his headache.

"I think it will be fine.." said Naruto.

"No one asked you!" yelled everyone else except for Hinata and Fu.

"Let's give up your shadows…" said Usopp was freaking out.

"No way!" yelled everyone how had their shadows stole… expect once again Hinata and Fu.

They all looked at the gap.

"How are we going to get across…" mumbled Ino.

"Well I think the answer is obvious…" said Fu, "I can ferry you all across, I can only take two or three people at a time so divide your self in groups…"

"How can you do that?" asked Usopp.

"You must have missed it but I'm..." said Fu, however before she could continue her speech Franky called out "Hey can you wait 30 more seconds."

They turned to see he had already not only build well but was really detailed.

"I don't' like the look of this railing…" said Franky.

"It's a bridge!" yelled everyone else in shock.

As they crossed the bridge.

"Wit the debris over there I had more than enough wood for makeshift a bridge." Said Franky.

"Yeah but it's way too detailed for makeshift bridge." Said Usopp.

"What you me to do a half-baked construction job?" asked Franky.

"Yes…" said Sasuke, "because your definition of a half baked construction job might not fit other's definition…"

"What's supposed to mean!" yelled Franky.

"Now's the time to fight." Said Gaara glaring at them.

"Your right…" muttered Sasuke.

"Fine…" said Franky hearing what he could do.

"You know this bridge would be a Deus Ex Machina if it wasn't so damn funny…" said Kyubi.

"What?" asked Naruto.

"Never mind…" sighed Kyubi.

They got to the building,

They got to a large room.

"What's this room?" asked Hinata.

"Oh crap!" said Fu, "It's this room!"

"What do you mean?" asked Naruto.

That was when they noticed the ghosts swirling around the room and Perona sitting in the middle.

"Whoa she looks like if Lee and Sakura had a kid." Said Naruto looking at her.

"You're right…" said Hinata.

Up stairs Sakura got a chill and she didn't know why.

Back down in that room…

"I never through you would get here." Said Perona, "I thought of having the zombie stop you before you crossed the bridge but Oars broke the bridge, he can be so cumbersome." Said Perona.

"So you're the one controlling the ghosts." Said Zoro.

"She laughed "Horo horo horo!"

"You laugh sounds like a turkey!" Naruto blurted out.

Perona glared at him and quickly sent on if her ghosts after him. Of course Naruto was soon depressed.

"He walked into that one…" said Isaribi with a sweat drop.

"As you can see I can create and control these ghosts because of the Hollow Hollow Fruit." Said Perona, "These ghosts are a part of me and can empty human hearts! Now time to meet your end!"

"Run away!" yelled Ino.

However all of them were quickly hit by the ghosts and joined Naruto in his depression.

"Capture them all!" ordered Perona.

The zombies under her command all ran over to the crew.

However sand surrounded the zombies, it did there was a shout of "Salt Gatling!"

All of the zombies that tried to grab them lost their shadows.

"What!" yelled Perona.

Only Gaara and Usopp were standing.

"You're not going to lay a finger on our crew." Said Usopp.

"They only pretended to be hit by the ghosts…" muttered Perona.

She sent the ghosts after them, they went through them but it did nothing.

"My name is Captain Usopp!" bragged Usopp.

"Really?" asked Gaara.

"Why don't you fall to you knees?" asked Perona, "I saw my ghosts attack you! How did you two defend your self?"

"I didn't!" yelled Usopp, "I'm already extremely negative!"

Perona made a face… a face that cannot be described in words…

Well there are words that can describe it: Epic Fail!

Naruto managed to recover and take a picture of it.

"Man I don't know what's better hers or what's his face…" said Kyubi.

Perona didn't even notice Naruto recovered (due to the fact that he was hit before the rest). She fell to the ground crying.

"Humans are supposed to be positive but this guy." Cried Perona.

That was when she noticed Gaara.

"What about you?" she asked.

"Do you honestly want to know?" asked Gaara.

"Yes…" said Perona weakly.

"I can never sleep or else the demon inside of me will awaken if that wasn't bad enough when I was a child my father had my uncle try to kill but I killed him instead… at first I thought he was the only person in the world who loved me but as he denied he told me it was a lie…" said Gaara.

Perona was shaking like a leaf.

"I think that's enough…" said Naruto, "She doesn't need to know that…"

"I forgot if he told you or not…" sighed Kyubi.

Kiba managed to recover.

"No way all of those problems he had…" said Kiba, "Is actually helping him…"

"Hey! Cheer up!" yelled half the remaining the zombies to Usopp.

The other half stared at Gaara in shock.

"DAMN!" yelled one finally voicing what they thinking.

"Get up guys!" said Usopp.

Those how had yet to recover began to.

"I'll help him handle everything." Said Gaara, "Focus on saving Nami and Brook.

"Are you sure?" asked Hinata.

Both of them nodded.

"Let leave as soon as we can!" said Fu.

"Yeah, I really don't want to experience that again." Said Naruto.

"It's your own damn fault!" yelled Sasuke.

The group left, leaving Gaara to take out the zombies and Usopp to fight Perona.

And so with that fight set up, the rest of the group continued on their way with very unlikely duo of Usopp and Gaara…

Really that really was a weird pairing.

A/N: Okay two things:

The part with Gaara was last minute decision and I feel would make for an interesting twist.

The other thing is just something I like to point out: The bridge joke is one of my favorite jokes if not my favorite joke in all of One Piece. The reason was explained in the chapter, it would have been a Deus Ex Machina had the bridge A. not been that detailed and B. Franky wanted to fix the railing because it didn't look right. I usually don't share these things but I had to in this case...
