Author's Note: Sorry for the lateness of this chapter, hit a writer's block on how I should continue. Anyhow, it's finally here and sorry that the battle scenes aren't that great.

Chapter 6: Revealed Secrets-Part 2.

The trio stood ready as the Egg Hammer robot thrust it's hammers down at them. But Sonic, Knuckles and Sora quickly dodged out of the way before the blue hedgehog went for another Homing Attack at it's head while Knuckles punched the larger hammer with a super hard punch to knock it off course, and the Keyblade Wielder glowed a light-blue and was glad to at least still have his Motion Flow ability, leaping up and thrusting his Keyblade at the other hammer to knock it back as well.

Just as the Egg Hammer was about to thrust at Sonic and his two friends again, up in the air Tails called out for them to watch out before firing laser shots at it's head with Amy summoning another Hammer before she tossed it at the same spot, with the huge machine losing it's balance and nearly toppling over due to the ground and air assaults by the young heroes.

"This is how a real Hammer Wielder uses one, you stupid robot!" Amy scowled angrily. "Stay away from MY Sonic!"

Sonic then charged again while the giant robot was about to recover, only to quickly spin and use his Axe Kick at it's smaller hammer, then held onto it's arm as it then tried to shake him off. The teenage blue hedgehog yelped a little while trying to keep his balance, before racing up towards the head once again, repeating his Spin Dash and then punched it right between it's robotic eyes.

Sora in the meantime attacked it's larger hammer despite it being bigger than the Keyblade, but that didn't daunt the sixteen year old at all. Instead, he used the hacking and slashing skills he knew of, grunting. "Take that!" He then dodge-rolled and used Thunderaga to zap at the robot two slow it down a little, paralyzing it a little which helped out his new friends at the moment.

The red echidna meanwhile growled loudly as he punched his strong punch at the robot's chest, smashing it repeatedly to at least break through while hoping to pull out it's circuts.

But the giant robot shockingly counterattacked by smacking Sonic and Sora off at the same time while bashing Knuckles shortly after before attempting to hit the Tornado 1, forcing Tails, who along with Amy screamed in alarm, to hover back to avoid in getting hit while the three teenagers below were about to hit the ground. The two Mobians and the Keyblade Wielder all then flipped and landed safely on the ground, wincing at their injuries while the robot wasn't faring much better, having several dents and damages but still strong enough to continue the battle.

"Heh heh heh heh heh...Even with your new friend who uses magic and some kind of giant key for a weapon, Sonic, you won't be able to defeat this robot without losing consciousness first." Eggman, who was still stuck on the ground with his five idiotic robots, cackled confidently.

Even though Sonic winced, placing a hand onto his left arm which stung a little, he grinned just as confidently and bravely. "That's what you think."

Sora hissed, while Knuckles grunted as the latter attempted to ignore his injuries, before the former was about to use his healing magic when he saw Sonic stand up and stood firmly on the ground all of the sudden. "Sonic, what are you doing?"

"Just something I learned and mastered a little while ago." Sonic responded, closing his eyes shut as he stood right on the spot, concentrating as, during his self-training over the last few months, learned that he could do new tricks due to his Chaos Energy after having used the Chaos Emeralds for so long.

As he did, his body began to glow in a mixture of blue and green aura with sparkles surrounding him slightly as all of the sudden his injuries quickly began to heal in the same speed as he was born with that gives him the ability to run at supersonic speed. In a matter of seconds his body was healed and his injuries were gone, his energy boosted as Sonic then snapped his eyes open, smirking confidently.(1)

"Whoa...!" Sora murmured in awe, seeing that the blue hedgehog just used his own healing kind of power without a weapon.

"Alright, Sonic!" Amy cheered happily.

"His new healing power worked! Sonic can now use the Chaos Energy to heal himself without the Chaos Emeralds!" Tails celebrated happily.

"Huh. It's about time you mastered that skill, but do you think you can teach me that?" Knuckles asked, a little bit jealous.

"Sorry, Knux. It took me at least two months to get this right. I call it Sonic Heal. Pretty cool, huh?" The hero of Mobius replied apologetically yet excitedly, much to his older friend's annoyance.

"Don't worry, I can handle that." Sora reassured, much to the other teenager's confusion, before the Keyblade Wielder stood up stiffly before holding up his Keyblade and chanted. "Heal!"

By using Curaga which thankfully was still with him, Sora not only healed himself, but also Knuckles who was surprised that his injuries were gone, and even healed a bit more on Sonic who, stunned that he felt a little bit more healther by the added healing power from the teenage human boy, gazed at him in awe.

"Whoa! That was cool!" Sonic remarked.

"WHAT!?" Eggman bellowed in horror. "Since when did that blue cactus learn to heal himself without the Chaos Emeralds!? And how did that spiky-haired brat do that too!?"

"It could be possible that Sonic has been training over the last three months to become stronger than ever before, and being more careful at the same time." Orbot theorized.

"I have a feeling that Orbot is right, doctor." Decoe muttered worriedly in agreement.

While Eggman and his cohorts were stuck dealing with the 'horror' of Sonic being able to now heal himself as well as Sora having some kind of healing power without requirements of the Keyblade, Sun in the meantime was dodging Terrance's laser attacks fired by the evil Hybrian Hedgehog who was laughing with an insane grin on his face. The former Werehog though just glared back as he then used a Homing Attack he trained himself to use as well as having had some training from Sonic who taught him how to use it properly.

"Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Give it up, Sunspots! I am stronger than you now!" Terrance declared.

"How about you shut your pie hole, you cyborg-lunatic!?" Sun snapped back angrily, as he Homing Attacked at Terrance who made to dodge the attack as he flipped to the side before kicking at the orange hedgehog's curled up form, smacking him straight towards a rock as the former Sonic Clone screamed before crashing into it, shattering the rock into pieces.

The former Hybrian Agent grinned wickedly, only to frown in confusion as his enemy then emerged by using a Spin Dash and caught Terrance off-guard by bashing right into his chest. Terrance grunted in pain as he was then flown off the smalll cliff and towards halfway where Sonic's group were fighting against the Egg Hammer. Sun winced as he grasped his left shoulder, badly injured yet attempting to ignore it as he knew that if he didn't stop his enemy, who knew what would happen if he sided with Eggman under Starline's wishes.

Despite the direct hit, Terrance easily flipped back up from the dust of cloud and landed neatly on his feet, laughing evilly as while he was injured himself, he was stronger and more capable of taking pain, much to Sun's irritation.

"You're a major pain in the butt, you know that right?" Sun growled angrily.

"Fool. I have months of training, and even with you and your original having trained yourselves, you are no match against me." Terrance declared darkly.

"Sonic's my brother! I told you before, I'm a real Mobian now!" The tangerine hedgehog snapped. "What makes you think we won't win against you or Ro-butt-nik!?"

The evil Hybrid-Hedgehog grinned, his eyes glowing slightly. "What makes you think I would join forces with the man whom Dr. Starline dreamed of, when I shall obey myself with my own plan?" He chuckled deeply as he looked over his shoulder. "Especially when they have all fallen right into my trap, just as you are?"

Sun narrowed his eyes suspiciously, before looking up and softly gasped as he saw four familiar figures of friends, two in the air in an airplane, and two on the ground, one blue blur and another red, with a third person, a human he realized, wielding some kind of sword that looked different and odd, and six more figures stuck on the ground literally glued to it with sticky gum like substance.

"...Sonic!" Sun softly exclaimed. "Tails! Knuckles! Amy!"

This unfortunately distracted him as Terrance fired another laser at the orange hedgehog who saw too late which forced him to jump to the side at the last minute to avoid in getting hit or zapped. The evil enemy grinned before turning to approach the battlefield by powering up his jet strapped onto his back, to which Sun saw as he winced in agony and gasped in horror, before growling angrily.

"TERRANCE!" He shouted, quickly unhooking his grapple hooks and fired, the hooks and ropes latching around his enemy's arms which held him back slightly.

"Ugh! W-what!?" Terrance grunted, struggling to break free, while Sun allowed his hooks to pull him up and he grabbed hold of the former tightly in an mid-air struggle to prevent him from attacking Sonic's group.

"Don't even think about hurting my friends and brothers!" Sun yelled, attempting to bash and damage the jets on the Hybrian's back, while struggling to hold on as his enemy was flying slightly out of control in an attempt to pull him off.

"You little fruit-coloured brat! Get off of me!" Terrance commanded, flying up and down and sideways to throw his young opponent off.

While the two hedgehogs were fighting to overpower one another in mid-air, back to the battlefield on the ground, Sonic and his friends, now healed up, fought more brutally at the Egg-Hammer who attempted to squash them flat like pancakes, but the trio on the ground dodged while Tails and Amy distracted it even further and causing more damage at the same time. Sonic then jumped using his Spin Jump before going for another new trick he learned during the three months of training and learning of Eggman's latest scheme.

The blue hedgehog uncurled himself while spreading his arms out and as he descended while the robot was distracted by Knuckles who dug himself into the ground before emerging and bashed his fists right into it's chest, creating a small but damaging hole which began to cause the giant machine to spark and lose it's power, and Sora tossed his Keyblade like a Boomarang to smack it's smaller hammer out of it's grip and the Key then returned to him, the hero of Mobius then used a front somersault before using a just as strong axe kick, causing the Egg Hammer to lose it's hammer which crashed onto the ground and fall on it's back.

"Energy Gum FIRE!" Tails shouted as he fired another spare Energy Gum missile which hit the mark and covered the robot's face and blocked it's senses.

"DEEP FREEZE!" Sora chanted as he used his Blizzaga spell to trap the Egg Hammer in solid ice just as it began to stand up.

While stunned by how much magic the spiky-haired boy could use, Sonic landed on the ground once more before Tails called out to him and fired a familiar golden ring he hasn't seen in five months. Smirking, the cobalt hero caught it swiftly in his hand and held it, absorbing it's power which made him glow in blue and yellow aura, again much to Sora's amazement. Sonic then grinned.

"Bye-bye!" The fifteen year old mockingly laughed as he performed his Super Homing Attack, bashing straight through the robot's frozen state and emerged safely back out, while the Egg Hammer sparked before exploding, pieces of metal and ice scattering all over the place.

"YES!" Sonic cheered as he uncurled and landed safely on the ground, while his friends cheered as well.

"We did it!" Sora celebrated.

"All right!" Knuckles grinned in victory.

"GO SONIC! YEAH!" Tails and Amy cheered happily as the former then descended the plane to meet with their friends.

"OH NO!" Eggman exclaimed, devastated and horrified that he had lost yet again in two days in a row, while Decoe, Bocoe, Bokkun, Orbot and Cubot stared in dismay and growing fear. "Not my Egg-Hammer!"

"Awww! Why can't the bad guys ever win!?" Bokkun wailed, crying his eyes out.

"That's probably 'cause most of the readers wouldn't like it if the story ended with the bad guys winning and the good guys losing." Cubot suggested while unknowingly breaking the fourth wall.

"Sonic and his friends sure have been keeping themselves busy. I think this may be time to retire, Dr. Eggman." Bocoe sadly announced, only for his creator to growl in irritation which told him and the other robots that Eggman was far from calling it quits.

As soon as Sonic and his friends regrouped, Amy came running towards him and hugged him tightly while calling out his name happily, nuzzling him lovingly as she giggled.

"Whoa! A-Amy! Easy, easy!" The blue hedgehog yelped, gently holding his self-proclaimed girlfriend back a little.

"She does that to him a lot, huh?" Sora remarked, a little bewildered.

"You have no idea." Knuckles replied knowingly, despite his suspicions to the new guy, but so far, the strangely wizardery-swordsman kid with the giant key was okay.

"I don't know how you did that with that giant key, Sora, but you were so brave." Tails praised to the sixteen year old boy who chuckled.

"No problem. I'm used to stuff like this." The Keyblade Wielder smirked proudly, posing heroically.

That only made the Guardian of the Master Emerald blink skeptically, raising an eyebrow as he thought to himself. 'He must be a fan of Sonic since that sort of thing is what he would say.'

The two-tailed fox cub giggled as he also noticed the similarity of the guy's personality, before turning to his surrogate brother who was thankfully let go. "And Sonic, great work. As usual."

"Piece of cake, li'l bro." Sonic winked with a thumbs up. He then gazed up at Sora, and said. "Whatever that giant key-sword thingy you got is, it sure helped out by a punch. I didn't know you were a swordsman and a magician. I thought there weren't any."

"Oh, you mean this?" Sora held up the Keyblade, before sheepishly dismissed it and said. "Well...It's a very complicated story. I mean, these things don't come for free."

"Well, neither did Amy's magic hammer." The blue hedgehog pointed out, despite being confused and Amy just giggled since she knew that he was only half-teasing. "Now, whaddya' say we tie up Egghead and his dumbots before calling in to get them arrested and make sure they don't escape again?"

"Assuming that he can get out of that glue stuff." Knuckles pointed out smirking, gazing at the evil scientist while chuckling in amusement.

"That's true." Sonic chuckled in agreement as he and the rest of the group turned to the misfortune Eggman who was once again caught off-guard.

"You're just lucky that you had help once again, hedgehog! You may have become more smarter and stronger, not to mention finally growing up a little, I'll still get you!" Eggman grunted furiously, in an futile attempt to save his dignity which was, well, stuck in a sticky situation.

The young heroes just shook their heads and/or looked exasperated while Sora just looked dully at him as Eggman was quickly reminding him of Hades and his losing streak against Hercules(not to himself Sora himself, Donald and Goofy). "Poor Eggman. He thinks he can actually win in the future."

"Oh, shut up, you spiky-haired brat with the giant key! Just who are you?" The mad doctor snapped.

"I'm Sora. Pretty much new in town." Sora casually placed his hands behind his head, smirking.

That only irked Eggman even further as the smirk only copied that of Sonic. 'He even has the same cocky attitude as that blue hedgehog.' Aloud, he grumbled. "Yes, well, Sora, let me to you a little secret: I don't like you already."

"And I don't like you either. I heard about all the rotten stuff you caused to Sonic and everybody else, and you still don't know when to quit. When are you gonna learn that you'll never win?" The Keyblade Wielder retorted as he now frowned.

"Probably at his grave at the rate he's going." Sonic answered in exasperation, a finger placed onto his forehead as he mentally sighed. Tails, Amy and Knuckles all silently agreed with him.

"Har dee har har..." Eggman responded sarcastically, before sighing in defeat as he knew that he was in for another trip to jail. "Go ahead, brag all you want. It's the same as always. I lost, you win. Another defeat and another day to plot revenge."

That made Sonic go on edge as he stepped back a little, glaring at him as memories emerged of the last time his enemy faked a defeat. "Nice try, Eggman. I'm not falling for that trick again."

Before his arch enemy could argue that he was actually serious this time, suddenly everyone heard shouts and fighting coming from above which caused Sonic, his friends and their enemies to look up in confusion wondering what was going on and they all gasped in shock as the Mobians, the evil scientist and the five robots instantly recognized two hedgehogs struggling in mid-air.

"What now?" Eggman asked, completely clueless on what was happening.

"Sun!? Terrance!?" Sonic and most of his friends exclaimed in shock while Sora's eyes widened at the mention of the former's name.

"Wait, one of those guys is Sun the Hedgehog?" The Keyblade Wielder exclaimed.

"The guy who's orange and looks just like me is! The other one's Terrance, a nasty Hybrian who used to work for Egghead's biggest fan." Sonic explained, glaring up while fearing for his other brother's well-being. He then softly in realization and glared at Eggman again, snapping. "So you did have a back-up and it's that guy!"

"What are you talking about? I didn't know Terrance is back! I thought he died two months ago!" Eggman protested, remembering how in his quest to gain power of the Sun Stone while competing against S.N.A.K.E.S, the former Hybrian soldier pretended to work for him only to go against his back to gain power in his mad quest for revenge against Sun the Hedgehog as well as destroy Sonic and take over the world in his place.

By then, Terrance, who heard the conversation, grinned wickedly as he still fought against Sun who struggled to even stab his jet-pack as the two punched and kicked at each other.

"Well, it seems you have failed to prevent me...for going for the rest of my plan!" The evil hedgehog snickered, before using his elbow to punch Sun in the gut, causing the tangerine hedgehog to grunt in agony. He then grabbed the former Werehog's arm and thrust him straight to the ground as he screamed.

"SUN, NO!" Sonic screamed as he quickly sped forward to save his brother, while Tails, Amy and Knuckles cried out the orange hedgehog's name in worry and alarm. The blue hedgehog leaped and caught his former clone swiftly in his arms and flipped before landing on the ground in a crouch, frantically asking. "Are you okay!?"

"...Ugh...That could've gone a bit better..." Sun dryly said, wincing at his injuries and too exhausted to continue the fight. "Nice catch, by the way."

The blue hedgehog just smiled in relief, glad that the former Werehog was alright, relatively speaking.

"A nice catch indeed. Heh heh heh heh heh..." Terrance interrupted with a dark chuckle, causing Sonic and his family and friends to glare up at the evil hedgehog who had re-positioned himself. "But you have fallen right into my trap, Sonic the Hedgehog. Quite a coincidence that you and the doctor have made things so easy."

"I don't know what you're talkin' about or how you survived, Terror-jerk, but I'm willing to guess that you freed Eggman!" Sonic snarled in return.

Terrance's grin widened. "Clever boy. Yes, it was I who had done so without the doctor even realizing it..." He then brought out two gun-like laser ray weapons. "As well as pin-pointing and scan his mind to make a copy of his intelligence for what I need, the second of the great return."

"What are you talking about?" Amy demanded.

"Scanning my mind!? How dare you!?" Eggman exclaimed angrily, as he realized that, during his escape when he and his robots were somehow freed which he now realized was due to Terrance's Chameleon part within him to turn invisible, he had felt like someone had pulled a strain of his mustache which had caused him to yelp in agony. "Not only you stole my intelligence, you ruined my mustache!"

While the others had no idea what the former Hybrian was talking about or why he would take scan copies of Eggman's intelligence, Sun's eyes widened in horror as he realized why he felt something pick at his quills earlier.

"You're the one who stole one of my quills! I knew it wasn't my imagination!" The orange hedgehog shouted angrily.

"What!?" Sonic exclaimed in shock, wondering why Terrance would steal a quill from his brother in the first place.

"It took you long enough to figure it out, Sunspot. And now, it's time for the final piece of my experiment and for the return..." Terrance declared, aiming the other laser ray gun at the two hedgehogs with the others shocked and horrified. "Your guilt and sorrow, linked to the darkness, Sonic the Hedgehog!"

He then opened fired which forced Sonic and Sun to try and leap out of the way and their friends attempting to reach them. But when Terrance snickered before aiming at Tails who screamed in fright and the Hybrian firing another laser at Knuckles and Amy to prevent them and Sora from reaching him as they tried to but were forced back in alarm and dismay, Sonic and Sun both gasped in horror as they were forced to save their little brother.

"TAILS!" Sonic screamed, shoving his younger friend out of the way as he didn't want the same thing that happened to the nine year old cub when Eggman mind-controlled him with the Mind-control weapon meant for the blue hedgehog happen again.

But as Terrance had wanted, Sonic was engulfed, trapped and zapped inside the golden and purple laser beam which kept him firmly in place as he screamed in agony. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!"

"SONIC!" Tails and Amy both screamed in dismay, as everyone else gasped in horror.

"What are you doing!? Let him go, you monster!" Knuckles demanded furiously.

"Why should I? This machine is designed to absorb the painful guilt, anger, hate, sorrow and fear that Sonic has deep within his emotions, the darkness of Dark Gaia potentially lingering, and thus the Werehog within his memories. By absorbing that, he is far too weak to fight against the beings that have become part of him and Sun. And soon, those negative feelings of the Werehog will be mine!" Terrance declared evilly, much to everyone's shock, confusion and horror that even Eggman began to worry a little about Sonic's life, no matter how much he hated the teenage Mobian.

As the evil Hybrian spoke, Sonic winced and struggled as this felt too horribly like when Eggman's machine that absorbed his power and the Chaos Emeralds to split the planet apart and prematurely awaken Dark Gaia 20,000 years too early, and the time when he saved Yacker from the laser beam during the battle against the evil scientist before the cute little alien sacrificed himself to save the blue hedgehog's life. He screamed even louder when he could feel the electrical lasers seep deep into his body and into his heart and mind as his vision blacked out a little. He could hear his friends' cries of horror and dismay, but it was faded.

The next thing the blue hedgehog knew, he found himself dizzily standing and placed a hand to his head. Sonic panted as he felt exhausted and weak, a bit shaken but otherwise fine. He then looked around and found, much to his confusion, a strangely familiar place of a beautiful field of a bright sunny day. He has seen this place before, but where?

It wasn't until Sonic's his eyes widened as he realized where he was, as a memory formed and echoed all around him.

"This whole area of life and nature represent your heart, and your love for nature."

"This is the place I fought the Werehog inside my heart. I'm in my dream!" Sonic exclaimed in shock, before realizing how he got here. He gasped and looked around. "Terrance is trying to get it out of me! How can he do that!?"

He then heard sparks of electrical sound and glanced up to see the same thing that zapped his body in the physical world head straight towards him. Even with the blue hedgehog's legendary speed, the machine's laser managed to catch up to him and zapped him and the whole area around him, causing him to scream in alarm as he tried to shield himself with his arms, bracing himself for the mental agony. However, as he tried to fight off the burning agony, Sonic suddenly found that it didn't hurt at all and his body shone brightly in blue and green before it vaporated the laser's power which disappeared into nothing.

Opening his eyes as he didn't feel any pain like he did in real life, Sonic looked at his hands in confusion. "Huh?" He then looked around and found that everything was the same as he left it three months ago; no sign of it changing into the desolute ruined world he first noticed before his fight, or even any sign of the Werehog-Beast.

"What's going on?" He asked himself, finding that his emotions remained intact, even the little bit of guilt he still had remained which was much less than what he felt in those two months before his adventure up in space. To be certain, he attempted to take the risk and called out for the Werehog that took form of his negative emotions, and the hallucination of Chip that took form of his more positive feelings. "Werehog? Chip? Hey, anybody there?"

"Sonic!" A voice called out frantically, but it wasn't Chip or even the Werehog's voice. Instead, it was a girl's voice, one far too familiar, warm and welcoming, echoing into the air as everything began to brighten all around him.

"Amy? Amy!" Sonic called out, suddenly realizing that his self-proclaimed girlfriend was trying to reach him. Narrowing his eyes, he raced forward and allowed the light to engulf him, his vision turning white as he could feel himself leave his dream and return to his body, feeling the pain but he chose to ignore it for favor of his friends...

"Sonic!" Amy's voice screamed out to him as Sonic began to quickly regain consciousness and all feeling of his body.

Groaning and grunting to regain control, the hero of Mobius then snapped his eyes open as he screamed once more, the laser leaving his body and just continued to zap him and the absorbing machine began to weaken around him. "AAAAAGGGGGGHHH! NNNNNGGGGGHHH!"

"What!? Why isn't this thing absorbing his dark link!?" Terrance demanded. He had made sure it worked during the quick thinking of using it and having spent months in building it to absorb Sonic's negative emotions linked to the Werehog. Why wasn't it working? Did he miss something?

"Let him go!" Tails pleaded, tearfully.

"Stop it! Please!" Sora pleaded, his heart aching as he was watching one of his new friends suffering in pure agony as memories raced into his mind, the failure of losing friends in the past: Tron, Pinocchio and Jiminy in the Realm of Sleep, Flynn who had later been revived by Rapunzel, Anna who had been revived by the act of true love by her older sister Elsa, Will who had been killed by Davy Jones before having his heart taken out to be revived and spent the rest of the eternity as the new Captain of the Flying Dutchmen, all of his friends in the Keyblade Graveyard before being killed himself, then reviving himself to go back in time to prevent the tragedy from happening, and...

Oh, Kingdom Hearts, Kairi...the repeated failure of keeping Kairi safe and being forced to sacrifice himself to bring her back. Now it was Sonic who was suffering, and even as Knuckles and Sun attempted to save the blue hedgehog only to be zapped and screaming in pain as they tried to save him despite Sonic's pleading protests, it wasn't enough to save the fifteen year old. Tails and Amy soon quickly joined in only to be thrown back.

The guilt of failing his friends in the past, and despite having saved them, and brought Kairi back at the cost of his life only to be sent here to this new world, the anger and hate he felt for Xehanort and now felt for Terrance and Eggman, the fear of losing his friends again, the sorrow that engulfed his rapidly unstablized heart, he couldn't handle losing more friends. Not again...!

"NOOOOO!" Sora screamed as he raced over to save Sonic who was beginning to tear up, trying to get his friends to stop trying to save him as they were only getting hurt. But as the Keyblade Wielder reached out and intentionally shoved his hands into the laser to grab hold of the blue hedgehog, something more strange and horrifying happened.

The laser suddenly stopped zapping Sonic who slumped forward and dropped to his hands in knees panting, hurt by the painful electricity but thankfully still alive and otherwise fine even on the inside despite that he felt a tad bit drained. Yet not only it also shoved Knuckles and Sun back slightly in shock as they wondered what was going on, but the laser then found a new victim that wasn't Sonic or his best friends/family.

It was Sora, who was now engulfed and like the hero of Mobius, much to his shock and confusion, he suddenly became trapped and was held in place with the machine's power zapping painfully into him! Sonic, Sun, Knuckles, Tails and Amy all gasped in horror and dismay to see their new friend now in the cobalt hedgehog's place. Eggman, Decoe, Bocoe, Bokkun, Orbot and Cubot all stared in horrified disbelief, wondering what was going on and why the machine hadn't worked on Sonic.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Sora screamed in agony, which felt even worse than when he was engulfed by the darkness in the Realm of Sleep, and too much like when the Heartless Vortex engulfed him and ripped out his heart and soul, which had sent him to the Final World due to Kairi's heart keeping him at bay.

"SORA!" Sonic screamed in devastation, his mind whirling on why the machine was effecting him and nobody else. Ignoring his injuries, the hero of Mobius quickly move in to save him, only to be thrown back and crashing into Sun and Knuckles who caught him but all three fell into the ground hard, Tails and Amy both going over to them, and gazing at the teenage boy in fear and worry.

"Sora!" The blue hedgehog screamed, his heart pounding in fear. 'No! No, please, no! Stop this!' He pleaded in his mind, fearing that his new friend was about to die.

"Hmm? What's this? The Dark Gaia energy of guilt and sorrow isn't coming from Sonic, or even from Sunspot..." Terrance muttered to himself, confused as he realized that the energy absorbance was working, just not from the hero of Mobius which made him grit his teeth in realization. "So the blue brat has forgiven himself. His mind is too strong now for this now."

Yet what caught his attention was that the machine was doing it's work...onto the human boy who was struggling just as bad as Sonic had been, and the evil hedgehog raised and eyebrow in confusion, which held a different kind of energy mixed in with...

"Wait a minute..." The Hybrian thought, gazing at the Keyblade Wielder who grunted and screamed, before the laser parts seeped now into his chest, going into his heart which made him scream even louder in pure agony as his Mobian friends tried to reach him but couldn't.

The next thing Sora knew was that he blacked out briefly, even as he could see the horrified expressions from Sonic's group as they tried to reach out for him...

Feeling himself falling...falling...into the darkness, Sora had felt like he passed out from the sheer pain of being electrocuted. His body felt weak, his eyelids heavy. The Keyblade Wielder thought he was drifting slowly into the darkest abyss, half-wondering if everything he did in Mobius was just a dream and he really was trapped in the deepest darkness, doomed to fade away as it may have been part of the final trial to disappear forever.

Yet, why did this feel different and familiar at the same time? The sixteen year old didn't know what to make of it. Weakly opening his eyes tiredly, Sora looked to see that he was still falling before he repositioned himself and landed gently on his feet, before standing up as he felt some of his strength come back to him, and found, to his surprise, he was standing on a familiar giant glass platform in the middle of the darkness.

"Huh? This is...this is inside my heart." Sora murmured to himself, realizing that he was once again within his Station of Waking, the familiar picture of his fourteen year old self with the Kingdom Key in hand, the face pictures of Riku, Kairi, Donald and Goofy, and in the background a beach with Papou Fruit that represented his home of Destiny Islands. He gazed at his hands in confusion. "Why am I here? Is this another dream?"

"WELL, THIS IS A SURPRISE. IT SEEMS THAT THE MACHINE FAILED TO ABSORB THE GUILT FROM MY ORIGINAL PREY, BUT HAS NOW FALLEN TO YOU." A dark, menacing and evil voice echoed and Sora felt his heart stop for a second. "YOUR GUILT IS STRONGER THAN THAT OF SONIC AND SUN. CHILD FROM ANOTHER WORLD..."

"Who's there!?" Sora exclaimed, feeling absolute fear seep deep into his entire being. This felt like the nightmare he had, only it was horribly more real.

When the Keyblade Wielder then felt the same dark presence, he turned around and gasped in absolute horror to see, the very same hairy mutant monster from his nightmare. He began to walk backwards away from the giant beast who reflex it's clawed hands, stomped onto the platform with it's enormous spiked shoes, and snarled it's teeth with it's quills far longer than that of Sonic and Sun and any other Mobian hedgehog. Terrified as this frightened him more than even the Darkside Heartless did two years ago, Sora made to run for it only to stop and nearly fell off the platform, remembering too late where he was and spun around to see the giant Werehog tower over him, over 80 feet tall and grinned at him hungrily.(2)

Remembering it's terrifying appearance in his nightmare last night, and what Sonic and Tails had told him, Sora felt frozen in place as he stuttered. "Y-You're...The Werehog!"

The giant Werehog grinned evilly. "AND YOU ARE THE ONE WHOM IS BEING SOUGHT FOR, AND SONIC'S REPLACEMENT FOR ME TO PREY UPON. A PART OF ME WILL REMAIN INSIDE YOU, WAITING TO DEVOUR YOU. YOUR BODY, HEART AND SOUL WILL BE MINE..."

Despite the terrible fear he felt as he tried to force back the memories of the horrible recent times, Sora quickly summoned his Keyblade as he realized he had no choice but to fight it. "You're not getting to me or Sonic, or anybody else! My heart's strong!"

"Correction. Your heart is weak, as weak as it ever was before." A familiar rasped old voice spoke from his left, startling Sora who looked to see who was speaking to him now. "And now that you are trapped within this world similar to light and darkness, the darkness of this world will devour you as long as you hold the dark feelings of anger, hate, guilt and sorrow within you, boy."

Eyes widening in further fear as Sora almost instantly recognized the second person within his heart; Xehanort, who stood there as evil as he ever been since the last time he saw the cruel Keyblade Master.

"Xehanort!? What are you doing inside my heart!? I thought you moved on!" The sixteen year old exclaimed.

"I am but a manifesitation of your dark emotions, Sora. A hallucination if you will, based on your dark memories you would rather forget, yet you cannot. Our memories like deep within our hearts, some are out of reach, others reach upon you when you open up to the darkness. What you had to lose in order to find. You will not be able to survive in this world. You will never see your friends again. You will never return home." Xehanort explained, grinning evilly while the giant Werehog began to make it's move.

"You're wrong! I haven't opened up to the darkness and I never will!" Sora exclaimed angrily, only to realize that he was angry; he was still angry at the evil elder man despite that Xehanort, the real Xehanort, had surrendered and moved on. Just then, something flashed above them and as the sixteen year old looked up, he saw the same lasers that engulfed his body began to rain down on them.

Before Sora could do anything to make a move, he was hit and engulfed once again, electrocuting him while surrounding the entire area, zapping the giant Werehog who laughed manically as parts of it then merged into the teenager who screamed in agony, feeling his insides burn terribly, and the rest of it being drawn into the laser before vanishing up into the dark abyss above.

"You may have saved others, but you failed to save those you cherish the most. You have only succeeded in saving them because one is always willing to risk their lives to save you. Even Kairi, the little Princess who's light has faded, but has been restored because you had help from your friends. You cannot do anything on your own, boy. You are weak. You are worthless. You have even failed to save your new friend, Sonic the Hedgehog!" Xehanort continued.

"No..." Sora whimpered, as another memory formed in his mind, one that made him doubt himself even further despite not wanting to worry his friends. One that...that Xigbar spoke to him and to Hercules.

"Because you've got friends in high places, you mean. Tricks like

that don't fly for your average joe. I don't admire one guy leaping into danger if it means someone else might have to jump in to save him. You're all just lining up to lose out. Dooming others to take the fall with ya. Oh, and you can spare me the usual party line. Yes, hearts are powerful when they're connected. But if you put too much of that power in one place, some of those hearts might end up breaking." Xigbar said darkly with a scoff.

Was he really right? Was it because Sora depended on his friends as his strength so much that they all died in the original time-line because of him? And even Sonic had been hurt because of his actions? Tears began to form in his eyes as no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't deny that Xehanort and Xigbar were right.

"MMMMMMMM...SWEET, DELICIOUS FEAR, GUILT, ANGER, HATE AND SORROW...YOU'RE JUST AS PLUMP AND JUICY AS THE HEDGEHOG...I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE TASTE OF YOU, CHILD OF ANOTHER WORLD...HA HA HA HA HA HA HA! AH HA HA HA HA HA HA!" The Werehog laughed evilly as everything darkened in purple light and darkness.

"NOOOOOOOO!" Sora screamed as his tears fell as more of his own dark feelings as well as parts of the Werehog that somehow surged into him went skyrocketing into the dark sky...

"NOOOOOOOO!" Sora screamed as he awakened screaming, his tears falling for real, vaguely aware that Sonic and the others were still trying to save him.

"Sora! Sora, wake up! Snap out it!" Sonic screamed helplessly, attempting to pull his new friend out of the laser, only to yelp in fright as he and his friends saw something dark and misty emerge from the Keyblade Wielder's chest.

"Sonic, get back!" Knuckles shouted as he pulled the younger teen away to avoid in getting affected by the darkness, while Sun pulled both Tails and Amy back to safety.

Thankfully the machine didn't miss, as it absorbed the particles of darkness and negative feelings from Sora's body and into a small capsule until Terrance, satisfied as he grinned evilly that the experiment had worked, though not the way he thought, and shut down the machine.

"That should be enough." Terrance decided, and the moment he turned off the ray gun, the laser stopped and Sora fell onto his hands and knees, panting and breathing heavily, drained and weak from having gone through such a nightmare.

"Sora! Are you alright!?" Sonic exclaimed as he and his friends, certain that it was over, gathered around the distraught and weak teenage boy. The blue hedgehog placed his hands onto the Keyblade Wielder's shoulders and shook him gently. "Hey, pull yourself together! Say something, please!"

Sora didn't respond, instead he began to cry. Injured and weak, both physically as well as mentally, so many dark memories rushing into his mind, his heart aching worse than ever before, his connection with his friends weakening, and so many failures he had endured, putting everyone he loved into danger because of his reckless actions, his need for them to help him only caused them to be put into danger, and whenever he tried to do something on his own, it backfires on him terribly that they had to go and save him by putting their own lives at risk...

He no longer felt like the brave hero that he thought he was. Maybe he never was. Maybe Sora was just a pretend hero. Why did the Keyblade decide to change it's mind and choose him over Riku?

"No..." Sonic whispered, horrified and dismay. This was just like...how he felt for two whole months, and even afterwards when he still felt the lingering guilt deep within himself. Now he blamed himself for not realizing Terrance's plans, not having paid attention and having been so focused on stopping Eggman, he failed to realize that the Hybrian had managed to survive and now somehow the Werehog-Beast and Dark Gaia were targeting Sora.

Maybe that was why Chip's necklace glowed, because even though he had forgiven himself, it was protecting him and his friends. But because Sora was a new friend and had zero experience over what happened five months ago, and whatever was happening, Terrance was behind this new dark situation.

Furious over Terrance's actions, Sun, feeling and seeing the same thing, spun around and demanded at his enemy. "What the heck did you do, Terrance!?"

"I simply absorbed the final piece of what is to be mine. It was originally meant to be drawn from Sonic, but because you and he have overcome your own negative emotions, disgustingly forgiven yourselves, it appears that Dark Gaia and the Werehog have now chosen your new friend. And from the looks of it, he has his own fair share of guilt, and it seems to be overcoming him and his weak little mind." The Hybrian Hedgehog calmly explained.

Sonic, hearing this and furious over what happened, glared up at the horrible enemy, snarling. "You monster...! You're gonna pay for this!"

"This is outrageous!" Even Eggman was furious and disgusted over what has happened. "I don't like the way you attacked Sonic and his new friend Sora with that machine and absorbing their emotions right out of their chests! It's one thing to threaten them and attack them for revenge as they get in the way, but when you actually hurt somebody for an experiment, that's going too far."

"You said it, doctor!" Decoe exclaimed in agreement as he and the other robots were just as disgusted.

"That was just downright horrible!" Bokkun shouted.

"We are absolutely disgusted!" Orbot agreed angrily.

"It ain't right hurtin' kids like that!" Cubot added.

"Even we have some principles." Bocoe concluded in agreement.

While Sonic and his friends were admittedly surprised to hear the actual truth from their enemies, they were all angry and upset over the incident as Tails was tearful even though he tried not to cry, and Amy was already struggling to hold back her tears, while Knuckles growled furiously.

"Hmph. I don't know what Dr. Starline saw in you, Robotnik. You're a pathetic loser who seeks to control yet you are emotionally far too weak to even overcome Sonic. Face it, the real reason why you even bother and failed is because you cannot control life that isn't a robot, and even robots betray you. You live in your own little fantasy world. I on the other hand, will control with pain and fear and dominate all." Terrance scoffed, putting away his device and chuckled. "Many thanks to you, your friends and your enemies, Sonic. Soon, this world will be mine."

"HEY! Get back here, you creep!" Knuckles demanded, as he, Sonic and Sun made to follow, only for Terrance to flick his arm and a huge flash beam forced them and everyone else to shield their eyes.

By the time the light faded, everyone looked up and saw to their dismay that their enemy had vanished.

"Oooh! That jerk!" Amy growled furiously. "He got away!"

"Thanks for the update!" The red echidna replied sarcastically.

"Guys..." Tails began softly, causing the older Mobians to turn to him as he said in sadness and worry. "We can't worry about Terrance right now."

Knuckles, Amy and Sun then saw what the youngster meant; Sonic, in his fit of anger before forcing himself to calm down and not give into his own new guilt despite that he wished now that the Werehog was haunting him instead of his new friend, returned his atteention to Sora who, having heard everything, just lowered his gaze and felt doubt, guilt and sorrow overcome him.

"It's all my fault...Everything's all my fault..." Sora wept, tears still falling.

Sonic felt his heart break and while he didn't know what really happened that put his friend in such a state as well as the darkness of Dark Gaia beginning to return, which meant that Chip/Light Gaia could be returning as well, he wanted so desperately to help. Now more than ever.

So being the kind and caring hero that he was, the blue hedgehog gently lifted the other teenager's head with his gloved hand under his friend's chin, making the Keyblade Wielder tearfully look at him which ached Sonic's chest even further.

"We'll figure something out. I promise. Sora...I...I'm so sorry. You got hurt...because of me." Sonic whispered, and while he tried not to cry himself, he wished he could take away all of Sora's pain and make it his own.

Even though Sora didn't know why Sonic was apologizing for the things that he failed miserably to do, he just nodded and sniffled.

"C'mon. Let's head back to the Mystic Ruins." The blue hedgehog suggested as he helped his distraught friend up, while the others gathered around him.

"Right...But...there's something I wanna tell you-no, I have to tell you. Before things get any worse than they already are..." The Keyblade Wielder whispered, trying to get ahold of himself.

Sonic and his family blinked before sharing concerned glances, while Eggman and his robots were left in confusion yet great concern, even in the evil doctor's part, all of them wondering what Sora meant.

It was then that Sora decided that he could no longer hide it; he had to tell his new friends the truth.

After attempting to calm down which they mostly did, especially both Sonic and Sora, the latter having struggled to get hold of himself, they, Tails, Amy, Knuckles and Sun, with the knowledge of Terrance getting away with Eggman's copied intelligence as well as the machine having absorbed parts of the negative feelings linked to the Werehog not from Sonic who had already forgiven himself and thus was no longer linked to the Dark Gaia monster, but from Sora who's guilt, while not related to the events that happened five months ago, but mysteriously still linked as he held the guilt for his failure to prevent Kairi from dying twice, while the evil doctor and his robots were stuck and were made to once again be arrested after calling Shadow, returned to the Mystic Ruins to recover from their injuries.

While still upset over what occurred in the Desert outside of Station Square, Sonic and his friends had managed to calm down emotionally enough to talk about the situation with Terrance now being the biggest threat of Mobius. As such, their thoughts returned to Sora's turmoil as well as his abilities of using the strange Key-weapon much like how Amy can summon her Piko Piko Hammer despite the former being a human, which lead Sonic to now believe there was a connection as he remembered Merlina in the King Arthur alternate realm.

"Sora, I know this is hard on you and I'm really sorry to make you do this, what was it you wanted to tell us? The fact that you can use some sort of giant key used as a weapon to fight and magic. How did you do all of that?" Sonic asked, as he felt he knew the answer, but decided to ask anyway.

Sora paused for a moment, as Knuckles had been told during the trip back that the Keyblade Wielder had nightmares of both the Werehog-Beast and Dark Gaia, and that Sonic had a mysterious dream of Chip's necklace glowing which really did when he woke up and what they found out from Professor Pickle before Eggman and Terrance's attacks, which explained everything he'd seen.

The spiky-haired teen then sighed and knew he couldn't hold back anymore. Especially that now that the Mobians knew that he had the Keyblade, rules or not, he could no longer hide his secret.

"I...I haven't been really honest with you guys. But you have to keep it a secret, because no one is meant to know."

"Not that we'd tell anybody unless we have to, our lips are sealed on that, but how come?" Sonic asked, curiously.

"Because of the World Order."

"World Order?" Amy raised an eyebrow, confused.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Knuckles questioned, skeptically.

Hearing what Sora said made Sonic realize that it was connected, the ancient text of the clues about what they heard earlier and given his own experiences in doing to other planets and other dimensions such as the Arabian Nights and the alternate dimension of King Arthur, he blinked in surprise. "Wait a minute, are you sayin' that you're from another world, Sora?"

"Y-yeah...yeah, pretty much. But I'm still a human, so I'm not alien." Sora confirmed hesitantly. "I come from a world called Destiny Islands, which is a world that has two islands, one which is the mainland with a town I spend my whole life in 'til I was fourteen, and the small island where all of the kids play on and...and also holds the location of the world's Keyhole."

"The world's...keyhole?" Sonic asked slightly, as he and his surrogate brother blinked in confusion, while their friends were quite shocked to hear that Sora actually came from another world.

"Each world has a keyhole which leads to the door of the world's heart and must be kept closed and prevented from being opened. If not, then it would be destroyed, fall into darkness and be sent into the Realm of Darkness, the place where monsters called the Heartless originally came from." The Keyblade Wielder explained.

"The world's heart?" The five Mobians held stunned looks, even though it only left them more confused than anything else.

"And the Heartless?" Tails added, nervously.

"What do they do?" Sonic questioned, uneasily. "Besides the fact that their name is legit and they spell bad news."

"The heartless go after people's hearts, especially those that had greater darkness that those that have darkness end up bringing the Heartless to them and go after many people. They take away people's hearts, and turns those people into heartless, and if their hearts are strong enough, they create other beings called the Nobodies, who don't exist. Both Heartless and Nobodies can form into different kinds of monsters, but if the person's heart is super strong, they can even take form of their original selves, and even the Nobodies that could remember their past lives could form new hearts of their own. If not and if both halves are destroyed, they would rejoin together and become their original selves again." Sora explained.

The more they listened, the more Sonic and his friends/family felt really scared as Tails swallowed fearfully while muttering. "That sounds really horrible and scary."

"And I thought the Black Arms and the Dark Gaia goons were bad enough, but boy, those Heartless and Nobodies sound ten times as terrifying and that's sayin' something." The blue hedgehog agreed, before asking. "But how did the situation get so bad if they had spread out to your world and other planets?"

"Because of one guy who wanted to destroy the whole Realm of Light, which is what all worlds live in including your world."

"Let me guess: This guy had zero guilt, wanted dominion and was a killer and thriller seeker, right?" Sun sighed in exasperation.

"He was a seeker of darkness, but yeah. His name was Master Xehanort, who wanted to rebuilt everything by using a powerful source that's the heart of all worlds; Kingdom Hearts." Sora admitted.

"Kingdom Hearts?" Amy and Tails blinked.

"Master Xehanort? What was he a master of? The monsters?" Sonic added.

"Well, no. Xehanort was actually a Keyblade Master."

"Keyblade...is that what those giant keys are called?" The blue hedgehog said thoughtfully, before shrugging. "Kinda catchy for giant key-sword thingys."

The Keyblade Wielder nodded. "He was one of the many Keyblade wielders that sworn to protect the Realm of Light from the forces of darkness, but...he grew too curious over a horrible event that split the original world into the many worlds we know today, and went down the path of darkness whch ruined many people's lives, especially most of those in the Organization he created; Organization XIII."

Sora then went on to explain the rest of the whole story to Sonic, Tails, Amy, Knuckles and Sun, from how Xehanort targeted three other Keyblade Wielders, Ventus, Aqua, and Terra eleven to twelve years ago, to everything leading up to Sora' current situation. Including the battles against the Organization, the worlds he visited including Agrabah(much to Sonic's confusion), meeting Donald and Goofy who were searching for King Mickey, Maleficent tricking Riku, saving Kairi and the Princesses of Heart...and the Keyblade War and Sora's decision to sacrifice himself to revive Kairi.

"...After that, I knew that I didn't have much time left, so I used whatever time I did have to be with Kairi and secretly seeing all of my friends that fought alongside us one more time, including those who used to be our enemies, like Axel who really cared for Roxas and Xion, even saving Namine and finally we came home, where I spend my last moments with Kairi, before I...disappeared." Sora concluded, lowering his gaze once more, his chest heavy over the reminder of what happened, now worse than ever before.

"Whoa...I had no idea." Sonic remarked as he and Tails felt so moved into the story that they could tell that their new friend was telling the truth, even if some of the parts didn't make any sense.

"That is just so horrible..." Amy murmured, fearful and tearful at first as she tried not to cry when she heard the horrible fates Sora's friends had gone through, especially with Kairi who first lost her heart before it was returned, strangely enough, then she was killed in cold blood by the man just so he could provoke Sora into doing what he wanted in order to claim the stupid Kingdom Hearts and destroy more lives to create a world where the strong ruled over.

No wonder Sora felt so horrible. The poor guy blamed himself for Kairi's death when it wasn't even his fault. Xehanort messed up everything for sick pleasure.

She then hissed angrily as she clutched her fist, standing up as she then brought out her hammer which frightened her friends as they shrank back. "Oh, I wish I'd been there so I could give that Xehanort creep a real piece of my mind! Especially how he hurt so many others, killing other people just so he could rule the universe like it's the dark ages! I wanna smack and smash him so hard he'll be flat as a pancake before I smash him into pieces!"

The thirteen year old pink hedgehog then swung her hammer about without actually breaking anything or hitting anyone in order to cool down, pretending that she was smacking and hitting Xehanort as in her mind, she could picture herself being enlarged, towering over a frightened evil Keyblade Wielder who would beg for mercy but wasn't getting any, squashing him flat while he was comically lying on the ground, is tongue sticking out and his eyes having crosses.

"If I wasn't so scared of Amy's temper, I'd be joining her in giving that Xehanort guy a real good beating he deserves." Sun whispered nervously to Sonic who just sweat dropped silently.

"Excuse my asking, Sora, but how do we know you weren't sent here as punishment for what you did and you're trying to trick us into thinking you're kinda like Sonic when it comes to helping people?" Knuckles questioned suspiciously.

"Hey, I'd never do that! Look, I wasn't even allowed to say where I really came from, but Xehanort and the Organization were the ones that broke all of the rules." Sora protested.

"But, if you had disappeared, how are you still here and ended up in Mobius?" Tails questioned, puzzled.

"That's the problem. I have no idea how I ended up here in the first place, 'cause the next thing I knew, I woke up just outside of Station Square." Sora shook his head, before pulling out his Gummiphone and showed it to the five Mobians. "I even tried to call my friends to let them know that I'm okay hoping to get back home, but while it still works, it says something about 'no signal' or whatever that means."

"What's that thing?" Sonic blinked.

"Is it a cell phone?" Tails asked, interested.

"It kinda looks like your Miles Electric, Tails, only smaller and cutely decorated." Amy remarked.

"It looks like a game-boy or a PSP to me." Sun raised an eyebrow.

"I don't even have a clue about this sort of modern technology." Knuckles stated, still skeptical about the whole thing.

"Uh...well, I don't know about the 'cell' part, but it's a Gummiphone Chip and Dale the chipmunks gave me. It allowed me and my friends who also have one each to call each other in whichever world we're in. It won't work in the Realm of Darkness, though. It's also a camera and you can play games on it too." The spiky-haired teen explained, allowing the two-tailed fox to examine it.

Sonic whistled. "Pretty nifty. I bet a lotta people would kill for this phone."

"I sure would love to have something like this! This is just so cool." Amy agreed, though both Sun and Knuckles shared a skeptical glance

"This is incredible. I've never seen modern techology like this before." The nine year old fox remarked in amazement, carefully analyzing the Gummiphone. "Especially when it's capable of making calls to other people in other planets!"

It took Tails only a second or two to figure out how it works and laughed excitedly, much to Sora's amazement. "Whoa! You figured out how to use it already?"

"Not surprised. Tails is quite an inventor himself and his IQ is rival to that of Eggman's." The blue hedgehog chuckled proudly. "You should see all of the cool stuff my bro's made and they really came in handy in all of our adventures we've been through. Plus there's nobody better that can handle a computer like him, whereas I'm too afraid to even try since I don't have the brains for that sort of thing, but at least I try."

"Yeah, well...I'm not a computer kind of guy. I can't even do the two keystrokes Leon told me once. In his words it was. 'Easy'." Sora air-quoted the word 'easy' with his fingers.

"How can two keystrokes sound easy?" Knuckles asked, as he too wasn't tech-savvy. "And how does that phone really work?"

"It's quite simple." Tails began. "This is a more modern technology based on the computer system which from what I can see is also part of magic in Sora's world or somewhere close to it, being that it's a portable computer device that combines a cell phone and computing functions into one unit, also able to be touched with this touch-screen even when wearing cotten gloves, like ours. They are distinguished from feature phones by their stronger hardware capabilities and extensive mobile operating systems, which facilitate wider software, internet and multimedia functionality including music, video, cameras, and gaming..."

However, the more the two-tailed fox explained, the more Knuckles became confused, feeling like his brain was about to explode and spinning into multiple wheels and the more he listened the more he was going crazy that his eyes were spinning in and out of his head until he snapped.

"STOP!" The red echidna shouted, unable to take it anymore. "I get it, okay!? Look, it's a phone that works more than just a phone and it can do other sort of stuff! That's good enough for me!"

"Um...Yeah, I'm gonna go with Knuckles and agree there, 'cause I'm still kinda getting used to it myself." Sora sheepishly agreed as he had absolutely no clue on what Tails had just said either. "I don't even wanna know what this facil-whatever it is."

"Seriously? You had this phone for like months and you still don't have any idea what it can do?" Sun asked.

"Hey, I grew up in the islands where the most advanced stuff in technology is a light bulb." The sixteen year old boy pouted, folding his arms.

"Don't worry. Not everybody knows that sort of stuff." Sonic shrugged, before frowning in confusion. "Still, there're a few things that don't make sense, besides that you just disappeared from your world and ended up here in Mobius."

"Like what?" Sora asked, curiously.

"Well, for one thing, we never encountered any Heartless or Nobodies before, I never saw our planet's "Keyhole", the closest to monsters we've fought were Chaos who's a god made of water, Dark Gaia, the Werehog obviously, and those monsters that come from Dark Gaia. Not only that, when Mobius split up into pieces, it wasn't completely destroyed and it didn't even fall into darkness. It came close though, Chip always shows up to fix it even before all of us were even worn." The blue hedgehog explained.

"Oh...Yeah, I had been thinking of that. To be honest, Sonic, when you told me that you and the others managed to put the world back together, I kinda thought that you were a Keyblade Wielder of this world." The spiky-haired teen realized.

"Me?" Sonic pointed at himself. "You thought that I was like you when it comes to weapons?"

Sora nodded.

"Hmmm...Nah, no way. I mean, sure I kinda was the chosen one when I pulled out a sword in the alternate dimension of King Arthur, but the real chosen was the King himself after the Black Knight trapped his soul into the Excalibur." Sonic shook his head, before explaining his adventures in the Arabians Nights and then in the alternate dimension of Camelot which happened three weeks ago, that he'd been home at the time when Merlina the Wizard summoned him to help save the land and restore the King who was real chosen one of Caliburn, a spiritually talking sword, having faced the evil wizard Merlin who was the counterpart of Eggman as Arthur himself was the counterpart of Sonic, that four others were also counterparts of Sonic's friends, or some others were.

Tails had a counterpart of a young Black Smith whom both Sonic and King Arthur called Smithy, Knuckles had a counterpart of Gawain, Shadow had a counterpart of Lancelot, Amy had a counterpart of Nimue, the Lady of the Lake, and even Cream, Espio and Vector had counterparts named Alice, Sir Richard, and a guy whom the blue hedgehog didn't know the name of.

But when Sonic finished his story, Sora blinked in confusion, shaking his head. "This is just too weird, because the Merlin I know lives in Radiant Garden, he's a good wizard who helped Donald to teach me how to use magic, and the last time I saw him was in Twilight Town, where I had to go inside Pooh's Storybook for the third time."

"Another magic book? Are you kidding?" Sonic blinked in shock, even more so that not only Sora met a good version of Merlin who was also real, but also that Sora had gone inside a world of a book, three times in fact.

"Yeah, first time I had to restore it when the pages were taken out by the Heartless. I met Pooh, helped him to find his friends, and some honey along the way since he's always so hungry for some. The second time a year later, the Heartless stole the pages again which made Pooh forget not just me, but also all of his friends, too. I had to find them to help him get his memories back. The last time was before the War, where I helped out a little and met their new friend Lumpy." Sora explained, and even thought back of the very last time he saw his bear friend, which made his heart ache over the realization that, if he hadn't been sent here to Mobius, he really would've unintentionally broke his promise in seeing him again.

He then sighed. "Still...It doesn't help on how much I messed up, putting all of my friends into danger, even at times when I need them the most. I lost my friends before I had to turn back time to save them. I can't do anything on my own, no matter how hard I try. It's always someone who helps me in the end. That just proves on how weak I am..."

"Hey, that's not true." Sonic protested firmly.

"No, Sonic. It is." Sora shook his head sadly. "I know this sounds crazy, but...our hearts are connected by from what Master Yen Sid called invisible ties. It makes us stronger when we're together. My friends are my power. I just...had to learn the hard way that I can't rely on them forever. Riku did a lot of stuff by himself. I barely even did things on my own and I always thought my heart was strong. I guess not...even the darkness got to me." He sighed, wiping away his tears that were too stubborn to go away.

The Mobians could only stare at their new friend, their hearts aching over what Sora had to go through and now felt his confidence shatter and pretty much non-existant. Something that Sonic the Hedgehog knew all too well, but in the Keyblade Wielder's case, it was far worse than the hero of Mobius could have ever imagined. Yet at the same time he understood the spiky-haired teen's fears as he too still felt it once in a while.

"I think I know what the problem is. You were just trying to be strong mentally so you wouldn't have to worry anybody." Sonic spoke up softly, causing the teenage wielder to gaze at him in surprise. "With me, it was kinda the opposite. Sure I had tons of help from my friends when I needed it, but most of the time I fought on my own too, and I had to be strong for everybody, not once letting out my emotions. I barely even cried, 'cause I didn't wanna be seen at my weakest."

The blue hedgehog then sighed as he gazed at his dearest friends who smiled knowingly with soft expressions while continuing. "A shaman in Mazuri once told me, though, that when the darkness of Dark Gaia, even just a little bit, entered my heart, it began to break the shield I created for myself to keep my emotions in check though it wasn't enough to break me completely, and even Chip said I was too strong to give into doubt even when I did have some. Not to mention that I had been so scared of losing everybody because of what Eggman did, and I blamed myself for falling into his trap. I had to believe in them, just as they always believed in me, more than I thought."

Sonic turned back to Sora, adding. "Sometimes doubt and fears can get to us, and being too overconfident can catch us off-guard, no matter how careful we are. Guilt, fear, sadness, anger and doubt can get to us, believe me, I know from experience and even after things turn out okay after a traumatic experience, those feelings don't just go away instantly. The more you try and fix your own problem inside yourself, the more those you really care about worry, and it might effect friends you haven't seen in a while. If you know what I mean."

"...Like how you managed to overcome your guilt, right?" Sora asked, remembering how Sonic mentioned he focused in having a 'mental' battle against his guilt which took form of the Werehog-Beast that also haunted him as a hallucination, while his forgiveness formed into that of Chip that the blue hedgehog had to rescue by also facing his greatest fears.

"Not only I'm scared of losing my friends and family, I'm also afraid of turning into a monster, knowing what I can do. The Werehog was created out of those fears, because Dark Gaia forms out the darkness out of people. Mine didn't possess me, it just took form of that, first residing in Sun before being accidentally released by Eggman." Sonic confirmed.

"The Werehog also wanted to control me and make me give into the dark desires since we were both created from Sonic. But my friendship with Sonic made me refuse, because he and everybody else made me real before I was was officially made real." Sun nodded.

"Like how your friends Roxas, Xion and Namine were always real even before they got their new permanent bodies." Tails added in agreement. "They were created out of genetic material to allow their real hearts to inhabit them, right?"

"Uh...Yeah, Riku mentioned that replicas can be made real with real hearts, and Xemnas also said that hearts can develop on their own, even within Nobodies." Sora nodded. "So both Roxas and Xion's hearts were inside me even if they were both forced back into me because DiZ, I mean, Ansem the Wise, wanted me to finish off Organization XIII."

"Well, they're both right, 'cause if you ask me, they're just like how both Sun and Shadow were made real." Sonic perked up. "My Uncle Chuck once told me that, besides robots since they're made out of metal, a soul chooses it's vessel, which normally it's within the body of newborn babies. In Shadow and Sun's case, it was different for them but their bodies are just as real. No one can create an artifical heart, mind and soul. Those three things grow and develop on their own and they choose which bodies they want to be in. As far as I can see, the same thing that happened to Sun and Shadow, happened to three of your friends, Sora."

While Sora was stunned that Sonic saw that even if this world never had any Heartless or Nobodies, and the fact that Sun was once a clone but was more of a brother than anything else to the blue hedgehog, it made him realize that the hero of Mobius may be right. Could it have been it? That he felt at his lowest due to losing his power the he felt he couldn't do much and feared of failing again? Was that why his connections had been weak because he hadn't wanted to worry his friends only to have done so and not ask them to help make him feel better and not having to rely on them just for battles all the time?

"...Right. I knew Roxas was different from me, just like Namine was from Kairi. They and Xion all deserved to be saved and live their own lives. It wasn't fair that they all had to be stuck inside me and Kairi." Sora nodded in agreement.

Sonic smiled. "Yeah, but don't forget, Sora. A heart is important, but that's not the only thing that makes us who we are. Our minds and souls are just as important, and our bodies are what keep them safe until our time comes to rest in peace. Plus, our eyes are the windows to see the world all the time."

The Keyblade Wielder blinked, before chuckling. "You're right. I never thought that way before."

"And another thing, even if we'll never see friends that we miss so much ever again, part of them are still inside of us as long as we think about them. I mean, sure I almost lost my friends more times than I can count and I'd been lucky to have them brought back even just by simple wishes, sometimes even without me realizing it, like with...with Yacker, but my point is, a part of them always stay behind, especially when you remember all of the good times as well as move on. It isn't easy, but you can't forget the past, but you can't live in it forever either." The fifteen year old hedgehog continued.

As Sonic's friends all agreed to his statement, Sora began to realize that it made sense even if he still wasn't so certain about it. Even so, he realized that while the two were very much alike in personality and bravery, that Sonic's heart was just as strong but he was mature enough to know that even he had weaknesses and had to be careful, especially after what happened five months ago, it was a matter of trust, and a matter of doing the right thing. So he nodded in agreement with a soft smile and thanked his new friends who smiled back.

"But, it doesn't make any sense. How could your world still be here without it disappearing, and if you've been to other worlds, how was any of that possible?" Sora asked, now finding himself completely puzzled over this.

"It's like how I don't get on how some of the things you went through worked out either." The blue hedgehog shrugged. "What's even weirder is that I dreamt on Chip's necklace glowing which also happened in reality and then you dreaming up both Dark Gaia and Fuzzy."

"Hmmmmmm..." Tails hummed thoughtfully, checking through Sora's Gummiphone and easily found several names on the phone's list and tapping onto one of the names where it rang at first but then went to 'no signal' before a theory formed into his mind. "I think the reason for all of this is could be there's more than just one version of the Arabian Nights, like how you and King Arthur are counterparts to each other, Sonic."

"Huh?" Sonic and Sora both chorused, curiously, while Amy, Sun and Knuckles gazed at the two-tailed fox cub.

"Since Sonic travelled to two different dimensions before and none of the planets even our own fell into the darkness like some of the worlds Sora has meantioned before being restored, I have one theory that could make sense." The two-tailed fox began, gazing at the Keyblade Wielder. "The reason being is because you're not in the Realm of Light anymore, Sora. Somehow by losing your power yet your heart was still strong enough to keep you alive, you ended up travelling across one reality to another."

That was when Sonic realized that Professor Pickle's theory rang into his head, and did the same for Amy as well.

"I had thought that it and Light Gaia would not awaken for another ten millennia. However, through the past five months, I have discovered another prophecy. It speaks that there is a world, another reality far beyond the borders of our own, of a universe similar to ours." Pickle continued.

"The prophecy...So basically Sora's not just from another planet, he's from a whole different dimension where the rules there are different to ours." Sonic said.

"Wait, so I'm in...another dimension? Another realm?" The Keyblade Wielder, remembering his adventures in the Realm of Sleep, plus what Goofy mentioned about Queen Minnie sending Pete to another dimension as punishment before Maleficent freed him came into mind.

"That's it! That means you came from a reality that's similar to ours, Sora!" Amy realized with a soft gasp.

"No way! So everything's different to where I am now? But, that still doesn't make sense on why I'm here? Chirithy said that I would disappear from the world. I thought he meant that I would just die." Sora was completely shocked over it.

"Um...That's a hard one to answer." The two-tailed fox muttered.

While Sonic had no idea either, his thought returned to the bracelet and then thought of something. "I think I might have a clue." He gazed at his bracelet. "This didn't glow until early this morning, and if I'm right, maybe somehow Chip knew you were in trouble. It might be what the prophecy meant. Not sure why, but I think...I think this somehow brought you here to save your life."

"And it might have caused a slight disturbance. Maybe it's another awakening, but I think we need to find out more of those close to know for sure." Tails added firmly.

"So...that and your friend are the reason why I ended up here to save me from disappearing?" Sora asked.

"Maybe. Not sure, though. Whatever reason it is, it's gotta be connected and maybe our reality's the only place for you to survive, and we're the only ones to help ya' get back home to your dimension." Sonic stated, turning his gaze to who he would dub as the Hero of the Realm of Light, and declared. "And that's what we're gonna do. I'm gonna help ya to get back home."

"Yeah, me too! Plus, if we're right, given how we traveled through space and time, well, Sonic has mostly, there might be a way to help you do it." Tails added.

"We can all help. Plus, those tablets might even have an answer to help you get back home, Sora." Amy agreed.

"And I think Terrance might be trying to do what Ro-butt-nik is doing, except even worse." Sun spoke up, causing his friends and brothers to gaze at him as he continued, uneasily. "He tried to suck out the negativity out of Sonic due to the Werehog, but couldn't since he'd already forgiven himself. Maybe...maybe Terrance already has began trying to wake Dark Gaia back up or something. He took my quills, he took Eggman's knowledge..."

Sonic softly gasped in horror as he and the others remembered what Terrance said earlier, adding up to Sun's theory. Plus another memory formed into his mind three months ago.

Flash-Backs:

*During the events of "Sonic and the Power of the Wisps"...*

"No! NO! That's not true! You're the one who's givng me lies! I'm trying to fix everything up! Just...Just leave me alone! Leave my friends out of this!" Sonic argued desperately as he tried not to let the words get to him, but it was becoming obvious that maybe the Werehog was right...and that everyone will hate him and not give him a second chance. "Why are you in my head anyway?"

"BECAUSE YOU BROUGHT ME BACK AFTER I HAD CEASED TO BE. YOUR SCENT OF DELICIOUS FEAR HAS REVIVED MY SOUL...AND ENTERED YOUR HEART, WHERE ONLY YOU CAN SEE ME." The Werehog laughed evilly, and moaned in delight as it licked it's lips hungrily. "I AM NOT A HALLUCINATION, HEDGEHOG. I AM A GHOST, ONE TO FOREVER HAUNT YOU!"

*Just a few hours ago...*

"Hmph. I don't know what Dr. Starline saw in you, Robotnik. You're a pathetic loser who seeks to control yet you are emotionally far too weak to even overcome Sonic. Face it, the real reason why you even borther and failed is because you cannot control life that isn't a robot, and even robots betray you. You live in your own little fantasy world. I on the other hand, will control with pain and fear and dominate all." Terrance scoffed.

End of Flash-Backs:

"Maybe the hallucination of the Werehog might've tried to convince me that he was the ghost of the real guy, but if he can really do that...I think he was trying to target me and Sun, but Chip's necklace was protecting me while bringing Sora here to save him, but..." Sonic gazed at the bracelet again, horror mounting onto horror. "It could be warning signs and it might have already happened, and Terrance is the one to make do it so that he can take over Mobius."

"And since Sora's from another dimension, he could be at a greater risk since he doesn't know much about how light and darkness work here." Tails muttered worriedly.

Everyone felt horrified by this, sharing uneasy glances.

"But why would it target Sora?" Knuckles asked.

Sora thought about it as well, before remembering the nightmare he had and softly gasped, and what the Werehog said when Terrance absorbed the negative feelings from his heart.

"Maybe...Maybe it's because Sonic and Sun both managed to save themselves, that the Werehog decided to pick me." The spiky-haired teen muttered, causing his new friends to glance up at him. "Because of what Xehanort did, what I failed to do and had to fix things up by giving up my whole existence...that I...I can't stop thinking about him k-killing her like that, how everybody were taken by the Heartless and almost taken away by the Lich...that the only way to save them was to change the future..."

"Your heart's still in tumoil." Sonic realized, his own heart sinking in realization. "Even though it wasn't your fault, that all of this mess started with that Xehanort guy, your memories and terrible experience are what making you feel all of the negative emotions."

"Because of my darkness..." Sora nodded in agreement. "Still...I thought darkness was triggered with anger and hate."

"Those two feelings can do that and open up their minds and hearts to dark thoughts, especially when it comes to the Chaos Emeralds. But negativity is also run by other dark feelings, like greed for example, as well as guilt, doubt and sorrow. The more you feel them, the stronger the negativity becomes. It's even more dangerous if all seven of the Chaos Emeralds are around. That is how Chaos became a monster and was forced to be trapped inside the Master Emerald for 4,000 years, because of the terrible greed Tikal's father had within himself." Knuckles warned.

"Huh?" Sora blinked, now once again confused.

"The Chaos Emeralds turn people's thoughts into power, but mainly to us Mobians and even then it's a rare thing. Shadow, Tails, Knuckles and I and even Sun are so far the only ones who can use their power, and their real power is all of the positive energy, which is light in your case. Love, friendship, compassion, courage, bravery, happiness, everything that are the opposite to negativity. As long as you don't have a single bit of doubt within you and never give up, the Chaos Emeralds can turn those thoughts into your power, and can save the world." Sonic explained.

He then smirked a little and said, "And also with those feelings, it's enough to give Fuzzy a great big bruise and then some. He not only feeds on life since he's so hungry, but he also feeds off on the negative feelings. So as long as you don't think about anything negative and believe in your friends, that guy won't stand a chance."

"Like how you guys did." The Keyblade Wielder realized, and when Sonic nodded, he knew then that in order to try and fight off this new kind of darkness, that he had to do the same. So he smiled with somewhat renewed determination. "Yeah! I'm not gonna let that giant hairball mess with me! I wasn't even scared of a giant squid that most people in one world were afraid of."

"Now you're talkin'!" The blue hedgehog praised.

It was then that Knuckles finally remembered the main reason why he wanted to find Sonic in the first place, because the seventeen year old then spoke up. "Speaking of which, there's something you should see."

"Huh?" Sonic blinked.

"Take a look at this. It appeared out of nowhere and some lady was calling me a being who resembled to a Knight of the sun or whatever she meant. She only spoke in a voice after speaking gibberish of a spell or something." He handed his younger friend the scroll he discovered.

As Sonic took it when a sudden realization formed the moment Knuckles said this, the blue hedgehog quickly unrolled it and his eyes widened in shock. It was a message.

"Dear Sir Sonic, my Knight of the Wind.

I wish this was a simple message of hello as I wonder how you are faring, but I'm afraid this is an urgent matter. Something very strange has happened in Camelot and your world and I fear it is a new source of evil approaching.

A night ago, I had a mysterious dream of a boy wielding a giant key that unlocks any lock, a human who resides of another world like you, but far beyond both. I also saw Caliburn being wielded by either you or I.

So Merlina and I wish to see you briefly if you are able to make it to our world once again. Please, come to us as soon as you are able and will discuss more there.

I am sorry to summon you, Sir Sonic, but this is very important. We will await for your return.

"It's from King Arthur in his world...! Something weird's going on in Camelot too." Sonic muttered after he read the message and re-read it three more times.

Everyone gasped in shock and worry, before they all shared concerned glances as they, especially Sonic, all realized what was happening.

The entire situation was beginning to spread out to other dimensions closer to their own.

A/N: Sorry that this chapter was super long, but I didn't want to cut the revealing secrets into three parts, which it kinda still is. I'll try to make the chapters shorter in the future as much as I can. Until then, I hope this chapter was okay.
