Chapter 318: East Blue Troubles
Nami was reading everyone the latest story, which was about the latest in a string of attacks. On the East Blue.
"Who would do something like that?" asked Hinata.
"I don't know… but I don't like it." Muttered Naruto.
Brook and Fu looked confused.
"Oh yeah, you don't know." Said Chopper, "A lot of the crew is from the East Blue."
"Also me and Sanji aren't from the East Blue but we grew up there." Said Ino.
"None of our island though, right?" asked Hinata.
"No." sighed Nami.
They breathed a sigh of relief.
Luffy seemed to be thinking about something.
"What's wrong?" asked Hinata.
"I think we have to go to the East Blue." Said Luffy.
"What?" yelled most of the crew.
"After you made a big deal about not rescuing Ace?" asked Ino with a sweat drop.
"This is different." Said Luffy, "This our homes!"
"He right we have to find out what's going on there and fight back!" cheered Naruto.
"I hate to agree…" said Sasuke.
"It's our homes and we have to fight to protect them." Said Hinata.
"We can continue our journey anytime." Said Luffy with a big smile.
"We can't just go right away, we have to figure out how to even get to the East Blue." Said Nami.
"So it's all decided… once we find a way, we're going to the East Blue." Said Luffy.
That was when something flew over them… it was a large piece of rock with what appeared to be a sail on it and oars.
"What's that?" asked Luffy.
"There's a pirate symbol on it." Said Fu.
"It's called a Jolly Roger." Said Gaara.
"I'm new at this remember…" said Fu with a sweat drop.
Gaara grunted.
Nami looked to the sky.
"Nami what's wrong?" asked Sakura.
"There's a storm coming." Said Nami.
"Are you sure?" asked Brook.
"Nami is able to tell when storms are coming." Said Sakura.
"I still don't know how it works." Sighed Kyubi.
"I'm the only one who can hear you." Thought Naruto.
"I know… just voicing my thoughts." Said Kyubi.
Naruto sighed and rolled his eyes.
That was when Luffy began to try to get the attention of the flying ship thing.
"Luffy what are you doing?" asked Ino.
"I'm trying to get the attention of the ship… they don't know about the storm." Said Luffy.
On the strange ship, the crew noticed Luffy trying to get the attention.
So they decided to send down a Tone Dial.
"It's a tone dial." Said Nami.
"So they went to Skypiea too." Said Sanji.
"It's a flying ship… of course they've been to Skypiea." Said Isaribi.
Nami recorded her message.
"How do we send it back?" asked Naruto.
Luffy grabbed it and threw it and floated back up.
Inside the ship, the captain got the Tone Dial.
"So they do know how to use dials." Said the captain.
The captain played Nami's message, which was to turn hard to Starboard.
"We're not getting any storms." Informed some opt the ship's navigators using some sort of computer.
"But sir! They're turning!" called out another of the crewmembers.
On the Thousand Sunny they got ready for the storm.
That was when they noticed the storm coming.
"An afro?" asked the captain.
His crew got annoyed but braced for the storm, closing up the cockpit and preventing any crewmembers from coming inside.
The flying ship followed the Thousand Sunny.
As it covered them they all braced for it… happy that they could avoid the worst of it.
Once it was clear they all breathed a sigh of relief.
"That was amazing Nami!" said Fu hugging Nami.
"Yeah…" said Nami.
That was when the Captain of the Ship gloated down, they saw he was a big man with golden hair… he was also missing his legs having replaced them with swords… also he had part of a tearing stuck in his head.
They all stared at him in shock.
"Which one is the one that sent the message?" he asked.
"That would be me." Said Nami raising her hand.
The man got a lecherous look on his face, "You're a cute one… baby doll." Said the man.
"Hey what's up that that thing up there?" asked Luffy.
"Oh you mean my ship?" asked the man.
"How do you get it to fly?" asked Naruto.
"Oh you want to see?" asked the man.
He walked over and touched Zoro's nearby dumbbell, which began to float.
"I ate the Float Float Fruit, which allows me to make anything float." He explained.
"So cool!" yelled Luffy with his eyes sparkling.
He cut off the power and Zoro caught the dumbbell easily.
"I want to float!" yelled Luffy.
"Me too! Me too!" cheered Chopper.
"IT sounds really fun!" said Naruto.
"Sorry, but other than myself I can't make anything living float." He said.
"Oh…" the three whined.
"But as thanks I'd like to bring you to my island." Said the man, "It's a place where you can have adventures."
"Thanks." Said Luffy, "But we can't."
"Why not?" he asked.
"See there's some stuff going on in the East Blue, and we want to see what's going on…" said Naruto.
He looked at the crew.
"So you're from the East Blue?" he asked.
"Most of us." said Luffy.
"I see…" he responded.
That was when he floated a plan.
"How about I take you to the East Blue myself." He said.
Luffy realized it would be make his ship float.
"Thank you so much!" said Luffy.
"Kit I'm getting a really bad feeling from that guy." Said Kyubi.
"Why?" asked Naruto.
"Look I'm just getting a bad feeling." Said Kyubi, "At least ask him his name…"
"Hey what's you're name?" asked Naruto.
"You didn't have to be so blunt." Said Kyubi as he sweat dropped in his cage.
"Shiki." Answered the man with a smirk.
Robin was surprised, she had heard of him before.
However no one else paid that much attention to it.
And soon the ship was flying towards the East Blue. Everyone got ready for a fight.
Well sort of, the clothes they wore was pretty causal. It did take a day or two to get there though.
That was when they saw a bunch of flying islands. The strange thing about them was some of them even had water surrounding them as if someone plucked part of the ocean.
Then again it was probably part of the Float Float Fruit power.
"Whoa…" said Luffy.
"Kit… I'm getting a worse off feeling than before." Said Kyubi.
"Welcome to Merveille, you won't find a more adventurous place." Said Shiki.
He slowly approached Nami. Then he grabbed her.
"Hey!" yelled Luffy.
That was when the Thousand Sunny all fell below them.
"Why you!" yelled Luffy.
He stretched his arm to punch Shiki. However Shiki still had control of the Thousand Sunny and used the mast to knock away the crew. Scattering them all though out the floating islands.
"Luffy!" yelled Nami.
Indeed the adventure on these island were only just beginning.
Next Time: The crew is seprated on this strange island... which is filled with very strange animals... meanwhile Nami figure out how to escape where she's being kept. What will happen? Find out next time!
