Meanwhile, across the ocean, the following morning, Bellatrix Lestrange and her fellow Deatheaters were spying on Sirius and Remus. She was positive that they knew where the Potter bitch was and would lead them to her and the brat. So, Bellatrix cast a spell so that she could listen in on Sirius's conversation that he was having with Frank Longbottom. Sirius explained that he and Remus had moved to America to be with Lily and Harry and that later that day, they would be going to be heading back.
Bellatrix grinned maniacally at her husband and the other Deatheaters, "Now, we can get our revenge on that Mudblood for what her son did to the Dark Lord," she told the others, "We only need to follow my dear cousin and the half breed, and they will lead us right to them."
Once Sirius and Remus left Longbottom's home, they decided to go back to their respective homes and pack their belongings. The two friends would meet in Diagon Alley later, and from there, they would apparate to Xavier's school. Bellatrix and the others decided that it was too dangerous for them to follow each man, so they decided to wait for them in Diagon Alley. The group of Deatheaters waited in Knockturn Alley for Sirius and Remus to return. The minute Sirius walked past Knockturn Alley, Bellatrix carefully sent a tracking charm towards him. It was so subtle that Sirius didn't feel it when it hit his leather jacket.
Sirius saw Remus waiting for him at the apparition point in Diagon Alley. He smiled at his best friend, "Moony! Do you have everything you need?"
"Yes, Padfoot, I have everything; what about you? Are you ready to leave?"
"Yep, I have everything I need right here, and I went ahead and withdrew a bit of money so that we can go shopping in New York City later," Sirius told Remus.
Remus nodded, then the two men made their way to the apparition's point in Diagon Alley, then the two men apparated away. Bellatrix smiled as she watched them disappear. Once they were gone, she and the others retreated to their safe house and took out a world map. Bellatrix cut her finger and let a drop fall on the map. They all watched in anticipation as the drop of blood slowly moved across the map until it stopped on the United States. Bellatrix looked up at her husband and smiled insanely, "They're in America."
Grabbing a map of the United States, Bellatrix repeated the process, and she was able to narrow down their search to Westchester, New York. From there, they would only need to use a tracking charm to locate Sirius, and then they would have their revenge on the Mudblood and her spawn. Bellatrix and the other Deatheaters quickly prepared to leave and left England for the United States.
Meanwhile, in Brooklyn, it was early the following morning, and Tony had woken up to the sounds of his baby brother's whimpers. He quickly got up and made his way across the hall to see what was wrong with Harry, "Hey, Baby Bro, what's the matter?"
Harry didn't answer; he only continued to whimper and reach for Tony. Tony smiled at his brother, "Come on, Harry, why don't you come to sleep in my bed."
"Okay," Harry said, then reached for Tony.
Tony lifted the toddler out of his crib and set him down, then took his hand and led him across the hall to his room. He then helped Harry to bed and got in after him. The baby snuggled close to Tony then fell asleep. While this was going on, Logan was lying in his bed listening to the whole thing. He would get up when he heard Harry, but when Logan heard Tony get up, he was curious to see what the little boy would do. Logan was delighted to listen to that Tony was taking such great care with Harry. He could hear Harry giggling in Tony's room as the boys settled down to go back to sleep.
Later on that morning, Lily got up to check on Harry. When she went into the nursery and didn't find him there, she panicked. She was about to run out of the nursery to tell Logan when Lily heard Harry giggles coming from across the hall. Slowly, Lily opened the door and smiled when she saw Tony and Harry playing on Tony's bed. Tony and Harry looked up when they heard the door open.
"Mama!" Harry exclaimed when he saw his mother.
"Hi, Lily, I hope you don't mind, but I brought Harry in here when I heard him whimpering earlier this morning," Tony asked.
Lily smiled at her boys and came into the room and kissed them both, "No, Tony, I don't mind at all. Thank you for looking after your brother."
Tony beamed at Lily, "Anytime, Lily."
"Now, why don't you get ready, Tony? We're going to head to Xavier's school this morning after breakfast," Lily informed Tony.
Tony's eyes w, widened and he smiled, "Okay! Man, I can't wait. It's going to be so cool!" Tony shouted, then grabbed some clothes so that he could shower and change.
While Tony did that, Lily went to their bedroom to wake up her husband, who was already in the shower. So, she went to change Harry and get him ready for the day. Once Harry was ready, Lily took him downstairs and put him in his playpen so that she could get started on breakfast.
After a while, Lily was joined by Jarvis, who decided to help her with breakfast. After a time, Logan and Tony came downstairs; Logan picked up Harry from his playpen, and they entered the kitchen where Lily and Jarvis were putting breakfast on the table.
"Whoa," Tony exclaimed at the amount of food that was being served.
Lily had made eggs, tons of bacon, and sausage along with Tony's favorite blueberry waffles, "Do you guys always eat like this?" Tony asked.
Logan smirked, "Yeah, kid, I have a high metabolism. I need to eat a lot."
"But the waffles are especially for you," Lily informed Tony, causing the little boy to blush.
They all sat down and had breakfast; when they finished, Tony went upstairs, brushed his teeth, and grabbed his jacket. As soon as he and the others were ready, they all stood in front of the fireplace. Tony was confused until Lily explained that they would travel to the school using the Floo Network. Tony was a little apprehensive since he wasn't magical and he wasn't a mutant, but Jarvis told him that he would be traveling with him and that he had nothing to worry about.
Lily was the first one to step into the fireplace. She had a handful of floo powder in her hand and Harry in her arms, Lily announced clearly where she wanted to go, "Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters," Then threw the floo powder. Green flames erupted around her, and she vanished.
Tony yelped and jumped back when he saw Lily and Harry engulfed in flames, but was amazed when he saw that she had disappeared. Logan chuckled at Tony's reaction then ushered the boy forward so that he could travel with Jarvis. Jarvis followed Lily's example, and Tony gulped when suddenly his world started spinning, and suddenly he was spat out of a fireplace into another living room. Lily smiled and helped him up.
"That was awesome," Tony told Lily, who only shook her head at him.
A little while later, Logan stepped out of the fireplace.
"Welcome back, Logan; it's good to see all of you," Charles said as he wheeled his way into the living room.
Lily went towards Charles and kissed the man on the cheek, "It's good to see you too, Charles."
Harry squealed when he saw Charles, "Pwsfer!" Harry shouted and ran towards Charles and climbed into his lap, and kissed his cheek.
Charles smiled and hugged Harry, "Hello Harrison, how are you this morning?"
"Good," Then Harry wiggled off of Charles's lap and ran towards Tony and grabbed his hand, and started pulling towards Charles.
"Who's this?" Charles asked Harry.
"My Bubba," Harry said proudly.
Tony blushed and introduced himself, "Um, hi. I'm Tony Stark."
Charles smiled kindly, already knowing who Tony was, "Hello, Tony, I'm Professor Charles Xavier, welcome to my school."
"Thank you, Professor."
After that, Jarvis stepped forward and introduced himself as well. Logan then explained what they were doing there, and Charles told them it was OK if they gave Tony and Jarvis a tour of the school and got to know the students and staff. As they were talking, they suddenly heard a booming voice coming towards the living room.
"Is that my pup, I hear?"
Harry climbed off the couch and ran towards Sirius and Remus, "Pafoo, Mooy!" Harry yelled, then he jumped into Sirius's arms.
"I missed you, Pup."
"Miss you too, Pafoo," Harry told him. Then Sirius passed him to Remus.
After Remus said hello to his little cub, the two men greeted Harry's parents then were introduced to Tony and Jarvis. After that, Logan and Lily took Tony and Jarvis on a school tour while they waited for the kids to get out of class for their break. As they were touring the grounds, Lily and the others heard the sound of several people apparating onto the grounds. Lily, Sirius, Remus ad Jarvis whipped out their wands and ran towards the front of the school, where they found Bellatrix and several Deatheaters waiting for them.
Bellatrix cackled when she saw Lily, "Finally, we found the filthy Mudblood bitch and her bastard child."
Logan growled and was about to step in front of Lily to protect her, but she whispered to him only loud enough to hear, "Logan, get the boys inside; we'll hold them off."
Logan hesitated only for a moment, then suddenly he grabbed Tony and Harry and ran inside just as Bellatrix and the others began firing curses towards him. Lily instantly threw a shield towards Logan, and Bellatrix screeched when she saw that Logan had gotten away with Harry. She and the others began fighting with Lily, Sirius, Remus, and Jarvis while Logan ensured that Harry and Tony were safe inside the mansion. Charles instantly activated the defenses of the school and lowered the steel shutters on all of the windows. Charles had the X-Men usher the children in the safe rooms; then, they assembled in the War Room to watch what was going on outside.
Logan growled when he saw that Lily and the others were being overwhelmed by the Deatheaters. He couldn't stand there and watch, so taking the secret corridor, Logan made his way towards the fighting. He emerged behind the Deatheaters. Logan unsheathed his claws, and with a roar, he began slashing his way through the Deatheaters. The Deatheaters had no idea what was attacking them. Some of them panicked at seeing their comrades being cut open. They turned and saw a wild man covered in blood with knives coming out of his knuckles running towards them. Many began firing curses at him, but he easily avoided most of their spells, and those that did hit him had little to slow him down.
The Deatheaters realized that they were no match for the wild man that was cutting his way through their numbers and tried to apparate away, but found that they couldn't. Antiapparition wards had been established. Several cracks were heard, and the American Aurors appeared to help with the fight. The fighting continued, and many of the Deatheaters began to surrender, including Lucius Malfoy. The only one that refused to give up was Bellatrix. She had cornered Lily and was sending curse after curse towards her.
Just as Bellatrix sent the Killing Curse towards Lily, Logan jumped in front of Lily to protect her and was hit in the chest. He crumpled to the ground, "NO, LOGAN!" Lily screamed.
Lily ran toward Logan, but Sirius grabbed her. She struggled against him, trying to get to her husband. Bellatrix cackled as she stood over Logan's body, "Was this ickle Muggle important to you, Mudblood?"
Bellatrix kneeled to look at Logan, then looked up at Lily, "If I had known that, I wouldn't have killed him so quickly. I would have tortured him first. But I suppose burning his body is good enough."
Suddenly Bellatrix gasped, and she looked down, and she had six claws rammed into her chest, "I don't think you, you crazy bitch."
"You were dead," Bellatrix gasped.
"Yeah, well, it didn't stick," Logan said with a smirk.
Slowly the light left Bellatrix's eyes, and Logan flung her off his claws. Lily and Sirius sat there stunned that Logan was alive until Lily came out of her stupor and ran towards her husband and collapsed on top of him, not caring that he was covered in blood.
"Oh, Logan, I thought I lost you," Lily cried as tears ran down her cheeks.
Logan kissed her head, "You're not getting rid of me that easily, Darlin'." Logan said. Then kissed his wife more passionately.
