Chapter 328: Resting After Shiki

It had been a few days after the fight with Shiki. Chopper and Sakura made Nami have bed rest after everything.

After all she did get poisoned and sick after all, even if she was given the antidote.

She hated it and complained to Sakura whenever she came into the room.

"You're the one who didn't time her explosives properly." She countered every time.

Nami eye twitched when she said that.

"Not until Chopper gibes you the okay." Said Sakura.

"Fine." Muttered Nami.

Meanwhile Luffy was pouting.

"Luffy? What's wrong?" asked Kiba.

"It's Nami." Muttered Luffy.

"Oh never mind! I have to go do something." Said Kiba.

He walked away.

"What's that about?" Fu asked Kiba.

"He still doesn't' know Nami's real message." Said Kiba, "I'm not going to be the one to explain it."

"Seriously?" asked Fu.

"Should we really be surprised?" asked Kiba.

"Nope… I guess not." Said Fu, "And I haven't been here long…"

"It says something about Luffy." Said Kiba.

"You know… I'm pretty sure he can you." Said Zoro nearby working out.

"We all know he's not listening through." Pointed out Ino with a sweat drop.

That was just made everyone in hearing range sweat drop even more.

Zoro sighed as he continued to work out.

He couldn't help but it think back to the fight Sakura had on back on the island, the fight he was going to have had it not been Asakura and Chopper stopping him due to his health.

"What's wrong with you?" asked Sasuke.

"What do you mean?" asked Zoro.

"Did something happen during the fight?" asked Sasuke.

"No…" muttered Zoro.

Sasuke sighed, he still didn't know what happened to him on Thriller Bark, so he figured it must have been because of that.

"Look because of my own problems I know I should start talking to people…" said Sasuke, "And I think you should be the same way…"

"It's nothing." Muttered Zoro.

"Sure it's not." Muttered Sasuke.

"Hey! Does anyone want to play cards?" asked Naruto.

"What is too boring to play with yourself?" asked Sasuke.

"Yes." Answered Naruto.

"You've actually played by yourself?" asked Zoro with a sweat drop.

"Look do you want to play or not?" asked Naruto with a sweat drop.

"No." said both Zoro and Sasuke.

Naruto sighed.

"It's just one of those days kit." Said Kyubi, "Plus the whole thing with Zoro still upset what happened on Thriller Bark."

"Yeah…" thought Naruto.

He then looked for others to play with him.

Thankfully Isaribi, Brook and Chopper were up for it.

"Hey do you guys think it's a good idea to just be sitting in the middle of the ocean like this?" asked Isaribi.

"Nami's really the only who can't fight right now." Said Chopper.

"So it's not too bad." Said Brook.

"yeah." Said Naruto.

"So how did you guys spend the week on the island?" asked Isaribi changing the subject.

"We let Zoro be the one to tell which way to go." Sighed Chopper.

"You're kidding!" yelled Naruto.

"Seriously?" asked Isaribi with a sweat drop.

"He kept insisting that he control and no would convince him other wise." Sighed Chopper.

"Tell him that's really stupid." Said Kyubi.

"Do I have to really voice it?" thought Naruto.

"That's really stupid." Said Isaribi.

"See." Thought Naruto.

"Point taken." Said Kyubi.

"By the way, is anyone else disappointed that Billy didn't stay on." Said Naruto.

This just made everyone sweat drop.

Billy had decided to stay at the island.

"He's got a point." Said Franky from nearby, "t would have been awesome to have an electric duck, peacock bird thing on board."

This just made the others playing with him sweat drop even more.

Meanwhile Ino was looking up at the sky. Unsure what to do.

"Hey what's wrong with you?" asked Sanji.

"Nothing's wrong." Said Ino.

"Yeah right." Said Sanji, "Something's wrong."

"Am I worthless on the crew?" asked Ino.

"What?" asked Sanji.

"Lately I've been feeling like that about myself." Said Ino.

"I'm sure it's fine." Said Sanji.

Ino just looked at him.

"Trust me, I know what it feels like to be worthless." Said Sanji, "And you're not worthless."

"Are you ever going to tell them?" asked Ino.

"Why should I?" asked Sanji.

"Because it would be nice to get it off your chest." Said Ino.

"I doesn't matter." Said Sanji with a shrug.

"Good point…" said Ino, "Though hypothetically if they were to show up and become our enemy…"

"Then I'll tell them, but only then." Said Sanji.

"Hey I made some cinnamon rolls!" called Hinata.

"Wait… does she have the code?" asked Ino.

"She does, but she promised not to tell those who will raid it." Said Sanji.

"Oh… okay…" said Ino with a sweat drop.

Meanwhile Gaara was sitting down looking at the ocean.

"So what are you thinking about?" asked Robin.

"Nothing." He said.

"What think about what would have happened if you were with them?" asked Robin.

Gaara didn't answer.

"I could have stopped him." said Gaara.

"That's so sweet." Said Robin with a slight smile.

"What?" asked Gaara.

"You wished you could have been there." Said Robin.

Gaara didn't answer.

"Everything worked out." Reminded Robin, "So don't worry about it."

Gaara didn't answer back.

Back with the card game, Brook won.

"Oh… I should check on Nami." Said Chopper realizing what time it was.

"So you think she'll be fine?" asked Naruto.

"I'm surprised you kept your mouth shut." Said Kyubi.

Naruto just sweat dropped.

"What did he say?" asked Brook.

"Just about keeping my mouth shut about the message." Said Naruto.

"I'm actually surprised you did keep your mouth shut." Said Isaribi.

Naruto sighed as Chopper went to check in on Nami.

As the doctor he could tell she was doing better.

"So, can I go outside?" asked Nami.

"If you think you can." Said Chopper.

"I've been getting so bored just sitting here and Sakura's been so judgmental lately." Said Nami.

Chopper laughed, "Well I think you're fine enough to go outside."

Nami smiled and finally left the girl's room.

Everyone saw her leave the room and parentally ran at her.

"Are you sure you're feeling better?" asked Sakura.

"I'm fine." Sighed Nami.

However Luffy now that Nami was feeling better decided to not beat around the bush.

"Nami! Why did you go with him!" yelled Luffy.

"What?" asked Nami.

"He didn't hear the whole message." Sighed Sakura.

"What?" asked Nami.

"Yeah, he completely missed it." Said Ino.

"Seriously?" asked Nami face palming.

"What are you talking about?" asked Luffy confused.

"Nami said something else in the message, but Kyubi was right when he told me not to tell you the message." said Naruto with a sweat drop.

"And we all heard it." Said Sanji.

""Oh come on!" yelled Luffy, "Hey wait! Who has that dial!"

Luffy managed to find and hit play, Nami began to blush as the message played again.

"Give me that!" yelled Nami.

"Hey! Careful with that! Those are valuable!" yelled Usopp.

The three ran across the deck as the message once again play, Luffy trying to really listen to the message this time.

However Nami successfully knocked the tone dial out of his hands, disappointing Luffy that he couldn't hear the last part of the message and Usopp who wanted to keep the dial.

"And if you don't believe me…" said the last part of the message played then with a whisper in it "Then prove me wrong and save me."

Because by this point, unlike her in past, there was no way that was going to believe her crew wouldn't be able to save her.

Next Time: They make their way to the Red Line and discover that the way to the get to Fishman Island isn't as easy as they thought. Will they be able to find a way to get the island and who will be able to show them? Find out next time!
