Hey, Fairy tail fans, good news, I'm not dead, I would've started updating sooner, but with all this pandemic stuff going on, I've been swamped. but fear not, for I am here with more of a fairy tail re-told and ready to put out the next arc in my story of a fairy tail re-told to help get you through quarantine so you can be entertained and, as always, R&R

Last time on, a fairy tail re-told.

Natsu: Man, things sure have been kicking up in Magnolia lately

Happy: they sure have, and Gildarts is back too, not to mention Wendy and Carla joining our team

Lucy: Yeah, but some things have been bothering me.

Natsu: what

Lucy: Mystogen, doesn't he look like-

Me: out time, we're starting

Gajeel stormed away from a group of cats "no," he shouted as he continued to walk around town, finding stray cats hoping to find one that at least talked like Happy or Carla "not any of these either," he muttered to himself as he left another group Gajeel ran all over town hoping to find one "damn it" he shouted scaring the people passing by

the slumped down against a wall. "Salamander and that little girl have talking kitty cats," he muttered. "I'm a dragon slayer too, so why don't I have one, huh."

"Have any Gajeel figure," Gajeel peered over and saw Maxes store 'nice to know I got some fans out there.'

"you're in luck; this is my last one," Max told them.

"ooh, it even has a stand-in if he gets a cat," the person said, making Gajeel freeze "you guys think of everything."

"yeah," Max answered, "we figured it was a trend, so we made it with the future in mind," he said, gesturing to the Natsu and Wendy statues with Happy and Carla, which made Gajeel sink further into a black mist.

Earth land

"hey," Cana shouted as people started to run amok around the pub area, "calm your asses down. It's barely past noon," she shouted as people danced around.

"that's funny coming from you," Macao told her. "I can't remember when you didn't booze it up after lunch."

"yeah, I shudder to think what you've done to your stomach," Wakaba added

"I can hold my liquor," Cana shouted at them, "when the last time you saw me act like a maniac," she said as she took another swig, as the two men nodded in agreement behind them. Levy was scratching her head.

"man, this is hard," she said aloud.

"Everything okay, Levy," Jet asked.

"oh nothing," she told them, "just reading a book of poems written in an archaic text."

"what" both boys screamed as Levy said it so casually.

"I mean, I can understand most of it," she told them" it's pretty easy" Jet and Droy could only nod as they decided to leave the girl to her own devices behind them. Lucy overheard Wendy mutter something about July 7th

"So, wait," Lucy asked Wendy, "what with you and Natsu's fascination with July 7th," she asked.

"oh," Wendy answered, "it's when our dragons disappeared," Wendy explained, "it's been about seven years since then, and I'm just marking it."

"oh yeah," Lucy said; she remembered how Natsu told them that their dragons had all but vanished on July 7th; what made it even more strange was how all their dragons appeared to have vanished at the same time.

"Are you guys any closer to finding out what happened to them," Lucy asked in concern that Wendy shook her head?

"All we have is a date," Wendy told her; she looked back at Natsu, who was asleep on the other table 'I wonder if that's why Natsu's been having trouble sleeping' she then saw Happy wrapping up a fish she smiled as she knew what was about to happen.

"This is perfect," Happy said to Natsu, who was still asleep. He then got up "time to make my move" he then ran over to the table "hey Carla," he called out, "would like this fish."

"No," Carla told him coldly. "I don't even like fish, and I find you annoying," she told him before leaving.

"man, that was harsh," Lucy said, "you okay little guy."

"Carla," Wendy called out, "why were you so mean to Happy," she asked as Carla left the pub.

"you know," Lucy said, "she seems to treat Happy the worse than anyone," Lucy asked, "Any idea why."

"trust me," Wendy told her. "I wish I knew," she said as Happy ran out of the guild.

'that name,' Carla said to herself, 'I can't stand its irony. They're just ignorant fools,' she said as she walked out. "Carla, wait," she heard as she turned to see Happy behind her.

"what's wrong?"

[##Carla no Kokuhaku##]

"what's wrong," she asked "what's wrong is that like this," she told him, "you're not going to be able to protect Natsu or anyone for that matter."

"what do you mean," Happy asked, confused " Natsu can take care of himself," he told her "besides, he's the strongest guy I know if anything, he's protecting everyone," Happy told her "he'll die before he lets anything happen to his friends or me."

"and what if he can't win," she told him before leaving.

'what was that about' Happy wondered as he turned around to leave; his mind flashed back to Lisanna how she always said Natsu was the strongest Happy let out a sigh he looked up as storm clouds had started to form over them 'at this point, I don't even want to date her' he said to himself 'I just want to have a friend that's the same species as me' he told himself as he walked by a still sulking Gajeel.

Wendy ran through the streets of Magnolia. "Carla," she called out, "where are you," she shouted, 'maybe I should have brought someone along,' shaking her head as she kept looking. a few moments later, she saw Carla, who was walking alone "there you are," Wendy called out as she caught her breath

"Wendy," Carla told her, "you'll catch a cold if you stay out in this weather."

"you will, too," Wendy told her, smiling. Carla couldn't look her in the eye when she flashed that look at her. That smile always hurt her in ways she would never know "why are you so mean to Happy and everyone else," she asked her feline friend, who only huffed and looked away. Wendy let out a sigh as 'Carla,' she muttered.

"I don't see the need to," Carla told her, "as long as I'm with you, their complications."

"I swear, you are an enigma sometimes," Wendy told her; she then felt a presence as she turned and saw someone walking towards her. It was Mystogen, "um, hello," Wendy asked nervously.

"Hello Wendy," he said in a voice that Wendy could have sworn she heard before. "I never really considered the chance you'd end up here," he said as he removed his mask, revealing his face.

"Jellal," Wendy cried out.

"how," Carla cut in, "we both saw you get taken away by the magic council."

"That wasn't me," he told them, "we only happen to share the same face," he told them.

"you're my Jellal, aren't you," Wendy asked.

"When we first met," Jellal said, "I was unfamiliar with your world's customs and told you my name was Jellal; that was a mistake," he told her, "now am I Mystogen, the second son of Magnolia."

"why," Wendy questioned, "why did you leave me!" she practically shouted at him. "I wish I disobeyed you," she told him. "I wanted to keep going with you," she said, tears rolling down her face.

"I'm sorry, Wendy," he said before toppling over "you need to leave," he told her. "I failed; it was simply too big," he said. "Magnolia's lost; soon, it will cease to exist."

"what," Wendy asked him.

"anima"

Wendy stopped; she remembered hearing him say something like that when they traveled together. Her mind was racing about what was going on, who or what was anima. Carla seemed to be stung by his words, "hold on, I'll find Mavis," Wendy told him, "we have to warn everyone."

"wait, Wendy," Mystogen shouted.

"no," she told him. "I would never abandon my friends," she cried, "and it has to vanish, then I'm going with it."

back at the pub, Elfman had started shouting at Jet and Droy, "you know what I see," he shouted, "two lapdogs begging for a bone, that's what," he called as they started to sink into their chairs

"ooh Gray," Juvia called out.

"not now, Juvia," he said as was trying to find a marker to draw on Natsu's face

behind them, Cana guzzled another Barrel of booze "rainy days like this are best spent cuddling with your boyfriend," she said as Mira walked behind her

"well, Cana be sure to leave enough of your boyfriend for the other customers," Mira told her, getting ready to leave "come on, Elfman."

"Yeah, I'm coming; just let me finish with these sissys," he told his sister, "they botched up their most recent job leaving Levy to finish the mission by herself." now he knew that Levy was more than cable of taking care of herself, in fact, she was stronger than she would ever give herself credit for, but she needed to have reliable teammates.

"come on," Jet cried.

"don't rub it in," Droy told them.

"well, I think they've both gotten stronger recently," Mira told them, "in their way."

"oh, come on."

"why would Elfman and Mira suddenly visit a church in this weather," Lucy asked.

"I think it's around that time," Levy said

"yeah," Cana muttered, glancing at Natsu, "the anniversary of Lisanna's death is coming up."

"that was their sister, right," Lucy asked. "I remember Mira mentioning something like that, they went on a job, and she didn't come back." while the details were sparse, she knew that it was a major soft spot, one that they all collectively agreed not to bring up and if they did make sure Wendy was around.

"yeah," Cana answered, "around this time, they tend to spend a lot of time at the church" she looked at Lucy and smiled, "and you didn't hear this from me, but I hear you reminded Mira of Lisanna."

"really," Lucy asked.

"it's cause she's so close to Natsu," Levy chimed in

"speaking of Natsu, why isn't he going with them," Lucy asked.

"he never really talks about it," Levy told her, "but I think he still blames himself for Lisanna's death."

Cana nodded "for as long as I knew them, they did everything together," Cana told the two girls "it broke him for a while after she died; I don't think he's fully ready to talk about it yet."

Lucy looked back at Natsu; she remembered how Wendy said he'd ben waking up in the middle of the night as of late; she wondered if had more to do with Lisanna "never figured Natsu one to have a girlfriend," Lucy joked, "he always seemed so focused on eating or fighting"

"you, Erza, and Gray have only known him for about a year," Cana told her "don't take it personally; he's always had trouble opening up to others."

"Yeah," Lucy said as she looked towards her pink-haired friend, "but as Mira always tells me, it adds to his charm."

outside, Carla ran as fast as she could to catch up to Wendy

"Listen, we need to talk," Gray said, getting Juvia attention "you need to learn to grip it right," he said, shocking Juvia behind them Alzack and Bisca had to stop what they were doing and look at them "you need to stop fooling around with it and eat already."

"that's what I've been trying to do, Gray, but I've never done this before," Juvia told him.

"can they even hear themselves"

"look," Gray told her, "here's how you eat a ceramide, Frank," Gray said, "first open your mouth as wide as you can, then chomp" Juvia then proceeded to follow, only struggling to take the piece.

"am I doing right, my love," she said with it in her mouth.

"yeah," Gray told her, now shirtless, "who needs silver wear when you got hands."

"Please keep your clothes on at the dinner table."

blushes were now sporting on both Alzack and Bisca's faces. "I wonder if I could learn to be a little more forward," she asked herself.

'maybe one day Bisca and I' Alzack and I stopped himself short as he looked at Bisca "nice weather we're having, huh."

"yep"

at the bar, Erza noticed that Mavis was looking over some documents, "Ms. Mavis."

"oh, hello, Erza," Mavis greeted, "just looking over the quest, Gildarts returned." Mavis said as she looked over the document "I was thinking about handing it out again."

"does something about it trouble you," Erza asked.

"no, just this quest is so old I don't anyone can finish it at this point," Mavis said

"Hmm," Erza said

Wendy ran through the streets "gotta find someone," she said as she almost tripped and feel "need to warn Mavis, she'll know what to do right, everyone here says I can trust her" Wendy stopped as the clouds above her began to form; a circle around and magic power began flowing through the air the ground began to shake as building began to vanish from sight as Wendy neared the pub it began to dissolve and vanish as Wendy barely made it to the gate and was thrown back as she was hit with a blinding light.

Wendy let a cough as she stood up. Now she was surrounded by nothing but air and bubbles, "what" she asked, looking around "it's gone," she said, falling to her knees "is there some law of the world that says I can't have a home" Wendy said as something started to pop up from the ground "what is that"

Natsu then burst from the ground "what" he shouted, "where are we, bubbles" he said as Wendy smiled.

"I'm not alone," she muttered as she ran to hug him.

"you okay, kid," Natsu asked.

"Natsu do you know what happened," she asked.

"umm, no."

backing away from him, she looked down, "this all that's left," she told him, "all that's left of Magnolia, it's all gone; you and I are the only survivors."

"what," Natsu said. "Wendy, you sure you don't have a few loose marbles here."

"I do not," Wendy shouted, "wait, you think we were left behind because we're dragon slayers."

"that's precisely why," a voice called out. The duo turned to see it was Carla "in fact, we're lucky you were a dragon slayer, or you have suffered the same fate as everyone else."

"what do you mean," Wendy asked

"Why do you keep talking like our friends don't matter" Natsu looked around "we can't be the only ones left," Natsu told her as he looked around "come on is anyone out there" he called as he started to look around.

"save your breath," Carla told him, "they were taken by the anima. Therefore they no longer exist."

"what do you mean," Natsu said. Wendy jumped in front of him, "where'd they go."

"calm down, Natsu," Wendy said, holding him back "how do you know all this.

"they went to edolas," Carla said, "the world on the other side."

"Natsu," Happy shouted, "what happened"

"Happy" Natsu and Wendy shouted

"as to why I know so much," Carla told them, catching their attention at this moment; she couldn't even bear to look them in the eye before composing herself.

"Well," Natsu asked

"because edolas is where I and the tomcat come from."
