Chapter 330: The Average Sized Mermaid
Sanji was happy, so, so, so, so, very happy. There was a mermaid on board, a really pretty one.
"Did you forget about Kokoro?" asked Usopp.
Then Sanji began to cough up blood.
"Just pretend we didn't see that." Said Usopp.
"Did we make a vow never to speak of that again… I can't remember." Said Kiba with a sweat drop.
"Let's just not talk about it." Said Sakura.
"Wait Granny Kokoro is a mermaid, but she could walk." Said Luffy.
"Oh yeah you weren't there." Said Franky.
"That sounds so gross." Said Luffy.
"Show some tact." Said Nami.
She sighed and saw all of the guys reacting.
"Seriously." Said Nami.
"She is a very cute mermaid." Said Robin.
"I've never seen one." Said brook, "Excuse me can I barrow some money?"
This just made most of the crew sweat drop.
Though Sanji did try to attack him.
"A skeleton!" she yelled out in shock.
"Stop scaring her!" yelled Sanji.
"I can open my head, isn't that funny!" said Brook.
"Oh it is!" she said cheering up.
"By the way! Do you poop?" asked Luffy.
"Stop asking that question!" yelled Sakura punching him in the head.
"Why yes I do…" said the mermaid.
"She doesn't poop!" yelled Sanji in denial.
"Remind him that everybody poops." Said Kyubi.
"I won't." said Naruto.
"Camie? Camie? Aren't you forgetting someone in your little chat… someone… someone like me." Said the Starfish rather depressed.
Everyone stared at the talking starfish.
"Oh yeah I was curious about this." Said Luffy poking at the starfish, "Is this a talking glove or something."
"I'm sorry!" said the mermaid named Camie, "This is my pet and teacher Pappagu."
"Star Starfish that can talk?" asked Usopp.
"That makes no sense I mean starfishes don't have brains, how can they talk." Said Isaribi.
"What do you mean Starfishes don't have brains." Said Pappagu.
"It's true." Said Isaribi, "They have something similar to a brain, but not actual brain."
"Oh… that explains Patrick!" said Kyubi.
"Who?" thought Naruto.
"Not going to explain." Said Kyubi.
"So… you're her pet and teacher…" sad Nami.
"How does that work?" asked Fu.
"I have my reasons for doing that but she feeds me clams." Said Pappagu.
"She… feed you clams." Said Kiba with a sweat drop.
Akamaru looked at the Starfish as if saying "I have better reasons than that."
Then Pappagu took out a guitar and began to sing a song.
A song that everyone ignored for Camie explaining about how he was her teacher…
"See my t-shirt, it's a really popular brand on Fishman Island. Pappagu is the designer and I want to be one too." Explained Camie.
As the crew paid more attention to this fact they didn't pay attention to Pappagu.
"Hey! If you're starfish then why do you talk?" asked Luffy.
"Well when I was young I through I was a human so I learned to talk like one, but by the time I didn't know I wasn't I already talking." Said Pappagu.
"So because you are so brainless you learned how to talk?" asked Naruto, "sounds reasonable."
Pappagu glared at Naruto.
"You literally don't' have a brain so I don't blame his logic." Said Isaribi.
"Hey!" yelled Pappagu.
"You know this might be our chance." Said Nami.
"We're looking for a way to Fish Man Island." Said Isaribi.
"No way! Takoyaki comes first!" yelled Luffy.
Nami sighed at that, but she really wasn't surprised at this point.
"Oh that's right! I owe you some Takoyaki." Said Camie, "Let me call Hatchin."
She took out a baby snail phone.
"Hello Hatchin! This is Camie!" said Camie.
"Hello Camie." Said a voice on the other end with an evil laugh, "Do you know who I am? It's not Hatchi."
"What are you doing with Hatchin's snail phone"! she yelled out in shock.
"It's Makuro of the infamous idiotic Makuro Gang!" yelled the voice on the other end.
"This sounds like trouble." Said Robin as Camie argued with Makuro about Hatchin and about how they were able to beat him up thanks to the help of another kidnapping gang.
That was when Hatchin was put on the Snail Phone.
"Camie is that you?" asked Hatchin.
When Hatchin spoke Sakura froze.
Nami saw the look on her face.
"You recognize the voice too." Said Nami.
"I do," said Sakura.
That was when it struck her.
"Sakura? What is it?" asked Nami.
"Sometime I was told at Enies Lobby…" said Sakura.
Nami's eyes widened remembering who Sakura faced off against at Enies Lobby.
"He said something to me…" said Sakura.
But before she could say anything… they head heard the location of where Hatchin was located. East of Grove 44 in the Sabaody Archipelago.
Not to mentioned the threats.
"So about that Takoyaki…" said Luffy.
"This is not the time for snacks." Said Sanji.
"I'm sorry, but I have to postpone that Takoyaki." Said Camie, "I have to go save my friend right now."
"I'm going to guess your friend is the one who's making the Takoyaki." Said Fu.
"That's right." Said Camie.
"All right! We'll go save him!" said Luffy.
"And as always he's thinking of his stomach." Muttered Kiba.
"Are you honestly surprised?" asked Isaribi.
"All right but on two conditions." Said Nami.
"What are they?" asked Camie.
"First you have to tell us the way to get to Fishman Island." Said Nami.
"Oh that's fine!" said Camie, "So what's the second?"
"Me and Sakura have no part in this." Said Nami.
"Why?" asked Camie.
"We have our reasons." Muttered Sakura.
They had some very bad experiences with Fishmen…" said Naruto whispering to Camie.
"Oh… I didn't know." Said Camie, "Wait… how do you know he's a Fishmen."
"They mentioned several times in the call." Said Naruto with a sweat drop.
Camie was shocked.
""So tell us, how do we get there." Muttered Nami.
Pappagu explained just sail west while Camie went to the edge of the ship to call some fish for help.
A bunch of fish appeared.
"They're afraid of the Flying Fish Riders, but their still help us." Said Camie.
"That's amazing! Can all mermaids do that?" asked Hinata.
"Yes, it's very common." Said Camie.
That was when they fish made an arrow in the water.
"It's been done." Said Kyubi.
They started to follow the fishes.
That was when Zoro, Sasuke and Ino all left the training room. Crow's nest.
"I'm so tired." Said Ino.
"You didn't have to train with us." Said Zoro.
"I have my reasons!" yelled Ino.
"Hey guys we have a guest." Said Luffy.
"Oh hey a mermaid… never seen one of those." Said Zoro as he deleted the memory of Kokoro being one from his memory.
"He just deleted it from his mind!" yelled Chopper.
"I don't want to know how." Said Sasuke with a sweat drop.
Pappagu began to explained that the ones that kidnapped Hatchin were a trio of Fishmen, who often try to kidnap Camie due to the fact that Mermaids fetch a high price. And that area buying and selling humans is a big deal.
"That's horrible to just sell people like that?" asked Fu.
"That sounds horrible." Said Hinata.
"Hatchi who runs the shop probably thought that Camie was kidnapped by them again and went to confront them." Said Pappagu.
"Wait an octopus named Hatchi?" asked Zoro, "Reminds of the idiotic fish man…"
"You think it's just a coincidence." Said Sanji.
"I really hope so…" muttered Sakura, "Because Kisame told me that apparently the two escape prison together and he went straight opening a Takoyaki shop…"
"What! When you were going to say something!" yelled the crew who were at Arlong Park.
"Because we all know Luffy thinks with his stomach." Said Sakura.
"What are you talking about?" asked Camie.
"Our island was taken over by a crew of Fishman pirates." Said Sakura.
"We beat them up and they got arrested." Said Luffy.
"But two of them got away. I faced off against one in the past. And that's what he told me." Said Sakura.
"OF course he could have been lying to mess with your head." Said Sasuke.
"That's what I'm hoping for." Muttered Sakura.
"Oh… I'm so sorry… I didn't know." Said Camie.
"How could you know without us telling you." Said Nami.
Camie was shocked by this.
"Even so Hatchi could easily defeat them… it's the Flying Fish Riders that's what we have to worry about." Said Pappagu.
"Flying Fish Riders?" asked Ino.
"They're a gang that started causing trouble recently. They're boss is a man in an iron mask and no one's seen his face. They've been searching ships for a certain target." Said Pappagu.
"Who is it?" asked Naruto getting a bad feeling.
However before they could answers, the fish started freaking out and they heard noises.
And suddenly the ship was bombed.
And indeed the Flying Fish Riders had arrived.
