Chapter 335: Bubble Trees

The Straw Hats marveled at the place, it was a big tree with a ton of bubbles floating about.

"Awesome!" said Naruto.

"Bubbles keep drift up one after the other…" said Usopp.

"Who's blowing them?" asked Luffy.

"Tell him a wizard did it." Said Kyubi.

"The island is making them." Said Camie.

"The island?" asked Usopp.

"How?" asked Naruto.

"Magic!" said Kyubi.

"Can you shut up for once?" thought Naruto.

"You're the only one who can hear me… so nope." Said Kyubi.

Naruto sighed at the demon inside of him.

"Do you mind if I interrupt." Said Robin she looked towards Nami, "What is the log pose doing?"

"It's still pointing to Fishman island." Said Nami, "Will the island rewrite the log?"

"Oh you don't' have to worry about that." Said Hatchan, "Do you know what mangroves are?"

"Oh yeah those trees with the weird roots that are in the ocean." Said Fu.

"They're underwater during high tide if I remember correctly." Said Isaribi.

"Well the roots of these trees are always above water. It's a collection of the world's largest mangrove trees." Said Hatchan, "Yarukiman Mangroves."

"They sound manly! Let's go there!" said Luffy.

"We have to go there." Said Ino with a sweat drop.

"There are a total of 79 trees and each one is like an island. Each tree has some kind of town or facility. Together they are called Sabaody Archipelago." Explained Hatchan.

They sailed closer to the gigantic trees.

"That's Grove 44 right in front of us, the private entrance. We should sail in further." Said Hatchan.

"The tress are like stripped candy!" said Luffy.

"That's one way of putting it." Said Ino with a sweat drop.

They got to one of the tree with Grove 41 painted on it.

"Let's dock here, this is grove 41. Remember the number so you don't get lost. There's bridges connecting the other islands so if you get lost just remember which tree it is." Said Hatchan.

"Zoro's still going to get lost though." Muttered Sasuke with a sweat drop.

"Someone better keep an eye on him." Sighed Nami.

"HEY!" yelled Zoro.

Some of the crew members got off the ship.

"A bubble just came out of the ground!" yelled Luffy.

"So awesome!" yelled Naruto.

"How does it work?" asked Robin.

Luffy jumped onto one of the bubbles. Turned out it could hold his weight.

"The roots secrete a natural resin." Explained Pappagu.

Robin touched some of the resin.

"we… it's sticky." Said Robin who then wiped it off on Usopp.

"When the roots breathe, it inflates the resin." Explained Pappagu.

"Should we be worried about Luffy, he's getting pretty high up." Said Hinata.

"Hey I can see an amusement park with a Ferris wheel!" yelled Luffy.

"Really awesome!" said Naruto.

Ino and Sakura looked at each other and then at Hinata and Naruto.

Both of them had identical smiles.

"I don't like that look." Said Naruto with a sweat drop.

"You know they feel about you and Hinata." Said Kyubi.

"Should I go along with it?" thought Naruto.

"Eh… whatever but I do get the feeling you're going to confess soon." Said Kyubi.

"What?' thought Naruto.

"Just a feeling." Said Kyubi.

Naruto sweat dropped when he said that.

"Ferris Wheels are great." Said Camie, "I always dreamed of riding one."

"That's weird, why don't you just ride one." Said Chopper.

"Don't be silly Camie." Said Pappagu.

"I know." Said Camie.

"So you said something about coating the ship?" asked Nami.

"Yeah, we'll go meet a coating specialist and have him coat your ship. That way your ship can sail underwater." Said Hatchan.

That was when the bubble Luffy was standing on popped. Fu thankfully caught him in midair.

"Thanks Fu!" said Luffy.

"No problem." Said Fu.

"It's the only way that humans can get to Fishman Island safety. But it's tricky if the coating isn't done right then the crew and ship can be crushed under and die. There's a specialist and I'll take you to meet him." Said Hatchan.

"There's a but coming, isn't there?" asked Isaribi.

"You're right, if I take you there I want you to promise me something." Said Hatchan.

"Sure what?" asked Luffy.

"The World Nobles will be walking around." Said Hatchan.

"Oh no…" whispered Hinata paling.

"Wait… aren't they?" asked Naruto.

"They are…" said Hinata shaking a little.

"I hate them." Muttered Luffy.

"I know…" said Hinata.

"You know about them?" asked Robin surprised.

"I don't want to talk about." Muttered both Luffy and Naruto.

"It's very personal." Said Hinata.

"If you want my help that no matter what you will do nothing to do them. Even if they murder something." Muttered Hatchan.

Hatchan looked at the faces of the two brothers.

"They hurt you didn't they?" he asked.

Neither answered.

"Please…" said Hatchan.

"Fine…" muttered Luffy gritting his teeth.

And so it was decided that some of them would stay at the ship and some of them went into town.

The group that was staying on the ship was Franky, Usopp, Isaribi, Sasuke, Gaara and Sanji.

Zoro also left on his own.

"You're seriously going on land?" asked Sasuke.

"I'll be fine." Said Zoro pointing to the nearby tree, "I just have to remember the number and I'll be able to come back."

"You're still going to get lost." Muttered Sasuke.

"I'll be fine." Muttered Zoro looking at the number.

He thought he read 1 but it was 41… so he was still going to get lost.

Meanwhile with the group going into town… well it was weird… like really weird…

The fact that Naruto and Luffy were so sullen made things actually pretty uncomfortable.

"If I shapeshift into someone or something else can I beat them up?" asked Naruto, "They won't know it's me… so…"

"I wouldn't take that chance." Said Hatchan.

"This is just weird…" said Kiba.

They don't want to talk about it, so what can we do?" asked Nami.

"Oh… also while we're here, I'm not a fishman and Camie's not a mermaid." Said Hatchan.

"Whatever…" said Naruto.

"Okay! We're too far away from the amusement park… we need a distraction." Said Ino.

"Seriously?" asked Nami with a sweat drop.

"She's right… them be angry and bitter… it's just weird." Said Kiba.

"I'm sure we're find something to get them happy again." Said Fu.

Thankfully they found just the thing to distract them from their bitterness.

"Okay now you slowly enter it." Said the guy running the stand.

Luffy following the guys instruction and he managed to enter the bubble.

"Whoa! Awesome!" said Luffy.

"And now put this here!" said the guy running the stall give him something.

Turned out a was a thing that let them drive the bubble.

"So… that will be 500 for day's rental or 10,000 to buy." Said the guy running the stall.

"I want to buy one!" said Luffy.

"Me too!" said Naruto.

"No you don't' there's no point in buying one. Rental is fine." Said Hatchan.

"Hey! Why do you get to deicide!" yelled Naruto.

"I'll explain later!" said Hatchan.

And so they rented five of the bikes, along with the one Luffy was using with where Nami was decade one, two large ones for group and one that was a tandem that Naruto and Hinata shared.

"I'm still going to buy one!" said Luffy.

"Hey… wait… didn't the bubble pop when you got too high?" asked Fu realizing something.

"Yeah." Said Luffy.

"That's because the bubbles can only survive in the tree's unique climate. If they leave the climate the bubble loses it force." Said Hatchan.

"Repeat after me! The bubble will pop if you leave and the bike will be useless." Said Kyubi.

"Oh!" said Naruto.

"What did he say?" asked Luffy.

"The bubble will pop if you leave and the bike will be useless." Said Naruto.

"Oh!" said Luffy, "That makes sense."

"Don't worry, Bubble Bikes can be used on the ocean floor too!" said Camie.

"But still not a good idea to buy them." Said Sakura.

Both Luffy and Naruto pouted.

They decided to have fun buying souvenirs and exploring.

Nami, Robin and Fu decided to go shopping at a mall, Hinata declined and Ino and Sakura also declined because of a personal mission the two had as did Camie.

"I wonder why Camie didn't join us." Said Fu.

"I get why Hinata didn't… you know how she is with Naruto sometimes… and Ino and Sakura…" said Nami.

She face palmed. Even she knew it felt lie sometimes a great power seemed to not want to two confess their feelings for some reason.

"It's probably because of the history of this island." Said Robin.

Fu and Nami looked at each other confused.

Meanwhile the rest of the original group were having a bubble bike race to get to Grove 13 which was their destination.

"What's going on?" asked Luffy.

They saw it was a man who was beaten, preictally begging for help for some reason. But no one would give it.

And then he exploded.

"Kit… I have a bad feeling about this." Said Kyubi.

"Don't do anything… and get off your bikes." Said Hatchan.

"Hatchin! That means their nearby… what do we do?" asked Camie.

That was when they saw a dog show up with a bubble over its head.

"Everyone get on your knees and don't make contact." Said Hatchan.

They listened to him and avoided eye contact with them.

But it was people dressed in weird space like suits with bubbles over their heads.

Naruto and Luffy shook as they saw them. Both of them had heard long ago that one of their kind did something horrible to someone they loved.

"Please… don't do anything." Begged Hinata who was clearly trying to cry.

"Why did he have to take you there for that day…" said Naruto.

"I don't know…" whispered Hinata.

They watched as the strange people kick the blown up man and shoot him as well.

Once they were gone the group met at one of the roots.

"I don't think either was the one that did it." Said Hinata, "I know it's been years… but…"

"I don't care…" said Naruto.

"Why do get away with it?" asked Luffy.

"If you harm a Celestial Dragon. Then they can call an Admiral." Said Pappagu.

"What! Seriously!" yelled Luffy.

"Like Aokiji." Said Naruto shaking.

"Or it could be Akainu or Kizaru." Said Pappagu.

"But why are those people special?" asked Chopper.

"800 years ago, 20 kings founded the World Government. Their descendants are the Celestial Dragon or World Nobles. And over the years their powers left uncheck." Said Pappagu.

"Naruto… Luffy…" said Sakura, "What happened?"

The Half Brothers looked at each other and knew they should at least tell them.

"One of those guys killed someone very special to us." Said Naruto deciding to come clean.

"And Hinata saw it happened." Said Luffy.

Hinata was very quiet and looked down.

None of them said anything else Afterall what else could be said after that… thankfully things would get it off their minds but still… they did learn something about the captain, their half-brother and their childhood friend. Even if it wasn't the happiest thing.

Next Time Hatchan takes them where the Coater should be… however he's not there. However a woman who's been keeping track of pirate is and she tells them their not the only crew filled with big names on the archipelago. Who are there… find out next time!
