Chapter 340: One Punch Luffy
They watched the auction… none of them knew what sort of horrors awaited Camie fi they failed.
To say it was awful was an understatement.
It was also when another Celestial Dragon arrived.
Hinata stared at him he entered and she shook.
"Hinata are you okay?" asked Isaribi.
"I'm… fine…" she lied.
"Glad Naruto or Luffy aren't here." Said Kiba.
Hinata nodded when she said that.
"Remember we can't do anything or else they're send an admiral." Said Sanji.
The others nodded in agreement.
They counited to watch the auction.
The next thing they brought up as a pirate captain, describing all the things he could do.
That was when suddenly his mouth started to bleed much to the shock of everyone watching. Then he suddenly collapsed and they closed curtain.
"What… what just happened?" asked Isaribi.
"He bit his tongue." Said Sanji.
"What?" asked Kiba.
"Becoming someone's pet would be a horrible fate. So he decided to just die right here." Said Sanji, "Considering circumstances it might have the best."
"It's still sickening." Muttered Isaribi.
"When are they going to bring out the mermaid." Said Franky.
"Camie must be so scared." Said Chopper.
"They're probably saving the best for last." Said Isaribi.
"It will be fine… we have plenty of treasure." Said Nami.
"Unless someone pulls something." Said Gaara.
"You don't really think that?" asked Isaribi.
"We'll just have to see." Said Gaara, "There's an entire pillar of gold in my gourd… no price is too high. However we don't know what might pulled."
"What do you mean by that?" asked Nami.
"If Mermaids are supposed to be considered the rarest and most wanted don't you think someone might pull something so we can't buy her." Said Gaara.
"Let's just see what happens." Said Nami.
They unveiled Camie. And right when bidding began, one of the World Nobles yelled out "I bid 500 Million!"
The entire auction house was quiet.
But Nami was determined.
"I bid 501 Million Berries!" said Nami.
"Seriously?" asked Isaribi.
"The lower the better." Said Nami.
"Can you even afford her?" whispered Pappagu.
"Gol we have was massive in its original form." Said Kiba.
"What?" asked Pappagu.
"This is probably not the best place to talk about the pillar." Said Chopper in a low voice.
However the world noble glared at them.
"505 Million!" he called out.
"507 Million!" called out Nami.
"510 Million!" called out the World Nobel.
"Charlos!" scolded his father who was also there, "You're wasting your money! You're aquarium is full of piranhas."
"They're supposed to be the fastest swimmer, they can play tag." Said the World Nobel named Saint Charlos (as the men are called "Saints").
"511 million!" called out Nami.
"515!" called out Saint Charlos.
"516!" called out Nami.
However everyone in the auction house were looking at the crew.
"No way they're the Straw Hats." Said someone looking at them.
"What do they want with a mermaid?" asked another.
"Who knows." Said yet another.
"But they're in a bidding war with a World Nobel… this can't end well for them." Said someone in the crowd.
"520!" called out Charlos getting angry.
"521!" said Nami.
"Just let him have the mermaid." Grumbled his father.
"This is just sad." Said his sister.
"525!" yelled Charlos, "I refuse to have that pirate crew have that mermaid!"
That was when suddenly the crew was surrounded by Guards of the World Nobel.
"Are you going to stop the bidding?" asked one of the guards.
The crew all looked at the guards in front of them.
"If you stop bidding then I'll have to call it in Stain Charlos' favor!" called out the auctioneer.
Before any more could be said or done, suddenly there was a crashed in the wall and out of the rubble were Luffy, Naruto and Zoro.
"Ow! Did you have to crash like that!" yelled Luffy.
"Luffy you crashed into mine…" sighed Naruto.
"I was headed back to the Sunny, why are we here?" asked Zoro.
Don't ask what Zoro was doing that day… let's just that Saint Charlos nearly shot him and Jewelry Bonny saved and leave it at that.
Luffy saw Camie on stage.
"Wait! Luffy!" said Nami, "I bid 530! And I promise to make sure my captain doesn't make a scene!"
"Is that a threat!" yelled the auctioneer.
"No he's an idiot who hits before thinking and that mermaid is our friend so…" said Nami.
"Wait… friend?" yelled someone in the crowd.
"Who would want to be friends with a mermaid." Said another in the crowd.
"Wait… you can be friends with a mermaid… what have I been doing with my life?" asked someone in the crowd.
"They're all insane!" yelled Charlos, "I bet they don't' even have the money to pay for her!"
"We have the money!" yelled Nami, "I can assure you of that!"
"Kill them! Kill them now!" said Saint Charlos.
One of the guards shot at Nami.
However someone took the hit for her.
It was Hatchan.
"Hatchi…" whispered Nami.
"I guess you can consider this for my apology." Said Hatchan, "Tell Sakura I'm sorry too."
Nami shook.
Naruto and Luffy stared at Hatchan. Both of them shook uncontrollably.
That was when Naruto went into his full Kyubi form.
Everyone in the auction house felt an uncomfortable fear.
"What is this?" asked Pappagu shaking.
"Wait did we become immune?" asked Kiba.
"We live with Naruto on the same ship…. It would make sense that we become desensitized to it's presence even if Naruto' rarely ever uses it." Said Gaara.
Luffy glared harshly at Saint Charlos, who was shaking.
Luffy started walking towards him.
"Luffy… wait… please…" said Hatchan, "You promised…"
"I can't keep that promise…" said Luffy, "This isn't about just about you… this isn't just about Camie… this isn't just about Nami or anyone else…" growled out Luffy completely angry, "This is about the FACT THAT THEY CAN'T GET AWAY WITH THIS ANY MORE!"
As he thought about the person to who was once killed by a World Nobel.
And with a mighty punch Luffy punched out the Celestial Dragon.
Which reminder was totally awesome was indeed a bad thing.
Because an admiral was going to be after him and his crew…
