Natsu: that makes sense in a way; I mean, this place has an entirely different history
Gray: Okay, now I'm confused
Night had since fallen over the edolas sky. The royal city's people looked in horror as the giant lacrmia left a red mark through the sky on an unstoppable course to the exceed homeland inside the royal castle; the remaining royal guards ran to the queen's chamber.
"We can confirm that the humans have attached the dragon chain cannon to the lacrmia to destroy extailia," one said, "and sir Nichiya and his platoon have been turned into lacrmia."
"I can't believe it," one of the advisors said. "I never thought the humans would stoop to this low."
"Also, a human and an exceed are in town; they've urged the people to evacuate," he told her "the town folk has devolved into a mob," he told her, "want do you want us to do."
"I will handle this," the queen spoke suddenly, standing up from her thrown a look of sorrow was etched on her face. A small smile appeared on her face, "it's time to end the charade."
The boy back then
"OH no, Gajeel," Happy screamed, "hurry up, and use your dragon slayer magic," Happy screamed.
"no time," Gajeel told him, "this puppy's speeding up."
underneath them, Coco's legion flew as fast as it could to catch up with the lacrmia "come on," Natsu screamed, shedding his jacket, "if we don't speed up., everyone we know and love is going to die," he shouted as every clutched as hard as they could as the legion rammed full speed into the Lacrima
"give it everything you got," Coco screamed as the legion pushed the Lacrima back to no avail.
"damn it," Gray screamed, "it has too much mass and momentum."
"If we fall, we fall with the rest of magnolia," Erza told him.
"don't worry, guys, we'll save you," Lucy screamed as Natsu charged the lacrmia and rammed it.
"Natsu," Happy screamed as he froze; he looked at his long-time best friend. "I'm sorry," he muttered, "I didn't mean."
"huh," Natsu asked, looking up as he smiled, "you gonna give me a hand here, little buddy or what" hearing this, tears formed in Happy's eyes as a smile formed on his face.
"Aye, sir," going right next to Natsu, Happy started to Push back the lacrmia on top of the lacrmia Gajeel smiled.
"time we call a time out," he told Lily, who watched in shock at what he was doing.
"are you crazy" he shouted "there's no stopping this," he told Gajeel "it's over," he said, "edolas is about to change forever, and none of us are going to live to see it."
"that's where your wrong, furball," Gajeel told him "we're going to live to see the end of this cause. I'm making you my cat," letting out a chuckle; Gajeel joined his friends and allies.
"it's still going to collide," Gray screamed.
"We can't let that happen," Natsu screamed. Their back was now against the floating Island of edolas "we can do this, guys."
"Aye, sir," Gajeel landed next to Erza, who was shocked by his sudden appearance. "Gajeel, what are you doing? You should be turning everyone back to normal," Erza shouted, "get back up there."
"you wanna deal with the black cat, be my guest," Gajeel shouted at her.
"We don't have time to worry about the lacrmia or the cats, so just push," Gray shouted.
"This is a lot," edo Wendy shouted.
"We can't let our friends die," Lucy screamed.
"Coco," Lily asked in shock, "what are you doing."
"Lily," Coco asked happily, "who needs internal magic power when you can have eternal smiles."
"and eternal friendships as well," Lisanna added.
"What kind of nonsense is that" Lily shouted, "there's no way these wizards can stop this."
"you wanna bet on that," Natsu screamed, "cause if there's one thing you need to know about us, is fairy tail never gives up."
the land behind them started to crack as the Lacrima pushed further into each other meanwhile Wendy and Carla looked on in shock "the lacrmia hit," Wendy said, "they must not have made it in time."
"if that were the case, I doubt we'd be around to discuss it," Carla said, "there's still time we need to hurry."
"as if," someone said as they threw another rock, only for sir Nadi to get in the way.
"Please, throwing rocks is dangerous."
"umm, yea, but it's a fallen, so it's okay," someone said
"Please, these people came to warn us. We need to listen to them here, please," Nadi tried to convince the crowd, "This has happened because we didn't act on it."
"oh please," someone from the crowd said, "the queen will use her magic any moment now."
"yeah, Nadi."
"you lost it"
"Please, everyone, stop," a voice called. Everyone turned to see the queen of extailia, Shagotte. As everyone bowed their head, Carla locked eyes with her. A look of sorrow etched on her face was something the while exceed noticed "now that you've calmed down, please listen to what I have to say" mummers could be heard through the crowd as people shushed them "extailia is tittering on the edge of destruction, this fate may be inescapable for the exceed, and after many soul searching I have come to a conclusion."
[## Carla's confession##]
everyone stared in shock as queen Shagotte took off her robes "it's time for you to know the truth of your queen."
"your highness," people in the crowd asked, "why are you taking off your robe-" they all stopped when Shagotte landed on the ground.
"as you can see," she explained, "I was born with one wing," she told them "an exceeds magic ability is based on how many wings they have," she explained as looks of fear started to grow on the exceed "I hope you can forgive me, but I do not have the power to stop this" she then looked at Wendy and Carla "your names are Wendy and Carla correct," she asked, "please do not harbor any ill will towards those gathered here today."
"no," one of her advisors said, "the blame falls on us," he said, looking towards the ground "the humans would do horrible things to us whenever they got the chance, so we made up the title of queen, and how we are divine."
"It got to the point where humans, we're so scared of us they wouldn't even look at an exceed," another advisor explained "the most prevalent of their fears were that she could decide who dies; this, however, is not true" he explained, "queen Shagotte can only look into an individual's future, we used that as a way to say she could say when a person would die."
"no, that's not true."
"our queen's a god."
"destroy the humans before it's too late."
Carla could hear cries from the crowd as Carla let out a growl of anger "deceitful nonsense," she screamed, catching everyone's attention, "whether you have power or not means nothing to me; all that matters is that you order my friends, no my family to be killed how do expect me to forgive something like that" she said "you messed with my memories order me to kill my best friend, and to top all of you took my life from me" she said tears now forming on her face.
"no," one of the advisors told her, "that must have been the humans using the legend of the queen."
"Carla," Wendy muttered.
'wait," Nadi said, jumping up, "that's not true. It's actual-"
"enough of your excuses," Carla shouted, cutting him off as the sword was tossed her way, shocking her.
"I have caused many sins," Shagotte told her, "and your suffering is among them" she then got down on one knee, "so please, I ask you personally to carry out my punishment," she said, "as a friend to both humans and exceeds you have the right carry it out."
Carla looked down at the sword as she slowly picked it up. People around her were crying, begging for their queen not to die; her mind was racing. It would be easy; all the exceed here did was cause her the pain they caused before lashing the sword "are you mad" she screamed "after all this," she shouted, "you resorted to lying, false manipulations to keep yourself safe, but now you're going to lay down and die," she screamed tears falling from her eyes "we'll I'm not I finally found out where I came from and have seen my homeland," she shouted as she flew off "and I'm not going to let it be destroyed."
"Carla," Wendy screamed as she watched her friend fly off behind them. Nadi let out his wings as well "she's right; I'm a proud citizen of extailia, and I will defend my home."

back at the lacrmia, everyone was trying their hardest to stop it "it's getting a little tight in here," Lucy screamed
"Just keep pushing," Gray screamed.
"use every ounce of power you got left," Erza shouted as panther lily had since taken to the skies.
"fools," he muttered, "all of them" as Carla shot past him.
"Carla," Happy asked.
"I'm not giving up," Carla told him. "I'll save both extailia and magnolia" behind her, Nadi came and started pushing against the lacrmia "what are you doing here."
"I'm going to defend my home as well," he told her. Behind him, millions of exceeding have started to appear as they all flew towards the lacrmia
"we're not afraid to defend Extalia with our paws."
"our queen sacrificed everything to protect us; now it's our turn."
"Your highness, you shouldn't be doing this," one of the advisers said
"no, my fate will be the same as my people," she told them as she struggled d to fly. "I will not stand by while my people suffer."
Lily looked as a memory came into his mind.
Flashback
"Panther lily," one of the advisors shouted, "what in the queen's name had you save a human."
panther Lily could be seen holding a young human in his arms. "I'm sorry, but I couldn't just let another life perish, even if it was a human."
"Have you forgotten the obvious rules that our queen has set" one of the advisors shouted "what rubbish, the fact you would save something so vile," he looked down "as such, you are deemed a fallen and banished from extailia."
"what," he asked as queen Shagotte looked away; later, he and the young boy could be seen leaving extailia he leaned down and smiled "don't blame yourself," he told him, "it's not your fault for their short-sightedness," he said
End Flashback
As Shagotte flew, she suddenly ran out of magic falling only to be caught by Panther Lily "so, your highness," he asked as she looked up to him in shock, "have you grown tired of lying"
"I'm sorry" she looked up and noticed that Lily was crying.
"ya know," he muttered, "no matter how much I tried to hate it, extailia is still my homeland," he cried. "I could have done something to prevent this," he told her, "but I sat by, and now it's too late; even with all the exceed coming together, there's no way we can stop this."
"don't worry," she told him. "I'm sure they hear you."
"come on; we can do it."
"let's give it our all."
soon the lacrmia started to move back the red glow it had faded away as the night sky shined over them "they did it," Panther Lily muttered, then shined as bright light blasted everyone away and covered the landscape, recovering some of the exceed had grabbed on Gray Lucy, Erza, and Gajeel edo Wendy and Lisanna as Carla and Happy grabbed Natsu and Wendy in front of them the lacrmia had vanished as the stone Island it was on disappeared from sight
"the lacrmia," Lucy muttered, "do you think."
"don't worry," a voice called; they turned and saw Mystogen flying on his own Legion "it took a while, but I was able to find an adequate seized anima to reverse the effects," he told them "sorry for the close call if it wasn't for your efforts I would never have made it in time."
"what's with you and last-second save" Natsu called out
"so that means we won," Lisanna asked
[##pomp and circumstance##]
"Yeah, we did it," the exceed screamed, "we protected extailia with our paws."
"Lily, long ago, you saved my life," he told them. "I'm glad I can finally return the favor," he said as he removed his headpiece, revealing his face.
"and I cannot express my gratitude, my price."
"our long-lost prince has returned," Coco said as Lisanna and edo Wendy hugged in shock.
"he's what."
before the conversation could continue, a blast had struck Lily from behind, shocking everyone as he fell from the sky behind them; they saw the entire edolas royal army charging them
"we're not done here," Erza nightwalker shouted, "destroy every one of them."
"yes ma'am
To be continued
the final battle has begun with their friends safe and sound; fairy tail will have to overcome the royal army. But the question is, what fate awaits our heroes? Will they be able to return home safely, or will they be forever trapped in edolas

Erza: that may be true, but they're entirely outmatched
