now on to the story

Back in the world of edolas, the townsfolk have begun the slow process of rebuilding their home. After the loss of magic power, people from all over the city have come together to help the best they can. using their wits and any other tools they could find, they slowly started to put their home back together "man, this is harder than I thought," someone said he was dragging bricks and carrying a hammer "we need more wood over here

"well, without magic, it is destined to be this way," another told him.

"yea, but we can do this," another said

above them; edo Gajeel smiled as he saw people working together "well, what do ya know," he said as he finished writing in his journal, "things are going better than I hoped"

Mystogen smiled as he watched this from afar. He smiled as a royal guard approached him from behind "sir," he said, bowing, "we have the prisoners" as he motioned behind him, Mystogen turned to see the former King Faust, Sugar boy, Hughes, Coco, and Erza nightwalker all had looks of sorrow on their faces as Mystogen glared at them

the day of new beginnings.

"Um Levy," edo Lucy asked, "what the hell is that thing" she screamed " I know Lisanna asked you to find a way to move the hideout, but this," she gestured to the place they called home, which the building was now hoisted on four large wheels which then attached to a vast platform how she had managed that is unknown to them. Still, Levy being Levy, apparently got it done "is a bit much, don't ya think."

"Hey, it was all I could come up with on short notice," Levy shouted "besides, I didn't design the plans; it was Wendy," she called back, "so if you have a problem, take it up with her."

"and where is the poor girl," Cana asked, "and Lisanna too? I haven't seen them in a while."

"I think they're still ya know," edo Lucy told her, to which Cana nodded.

"I see," Cana said, "well come on, you all," she said, taking charge "let's not stress those two out any more than we have to," she said as the guys of the group started to get ready to pull Lucy approached Cana.

"hey," Lucy asked, "you sure you're okay."

"I'm fine, dear," Cana told her, putting on a brave face, "for me, knowing that Lisanna and Wendy have the closure they deserve is more than enough"

"Alright," edo Lucy asked her as the boys started to pull; they looked over and saw the girls were doing nothing "what, you honestly expect us fair maidens to pull that thing."

"maidens," they all asked in shock

back in the royal city Jellal had led the prisoners to the front of the palace. "Edolas has entered a new era," he told them as he came to a stop "however, the pain you've caused remains fresh in all the people throughout the kingdom," he said. Faust looked at him sorrowfully as he and Mystogen locked eyes "as edolas' new king, I will hand your punishments," he then looked away. "Sir Faust, you are exiled from the royal kingdom; you are forbidden from entering the royal city ever again."

"yes," Faust said. A tired look had overcome his eye. "I understand" was all he could say as the others looked away.

"Erza nightwalker," Mystogen continued, "you are not allowed to leave the royal city," Mystogen told her, "not unless I ask of you."

"I'm prepared to die for my sins," she told him, " you needn't hold back."

"I'm not," Mystogen told her "you will assist the citizens in rebuilding the royal city" he then looked at the others. "Byro, Sugar-boy, Hughes, you are also given the same punishment.

"what," they all asked, "care to explain yourself.

"like this is awesome," Hughes started, "but not awesome."

"so, the magic warfare unit doesn't get the full brunt," Sugar-boy asked.

"I don't know what you're hoping to achieve," Byro asked, stepping forward.

"your atonement, nothing more," Mystogen told them.

"then you should just kill us," edo Erza told him, "we'd rather have that than be disgraced."

"Please, your majesty," Byro asked, " please grant us this last wish."

"if they're going to give their lives," Coco shouted, "then I will give mine too."

"Coco," Mystogen whispered, "I'm sorry, I can't do that," he told her "you chose to make your atonement by changing sides and helping others," he told her, "do not let your past stop your future."

"I won't," she told him.

"as for the rest of you," Mystogen told them, " I know that even without magic, you have skills that would be valuable to the kingdom" he told them " in fact, one of the wizards asked me to spare your lives," he told them which shocked them all "you might know her as the last fairy," he told them.

"why" edo Erza was confused; the person that hated her most had asked for her life to be spared.

"it's fair," Faust said, speaking up walking forward to face his son "thank you for such mercy, your majesty," he said as he started to walk off "it's time for me to start anew," he called, catching the girls attention "I have done many things I regret," he told them "so I will take the punishment for my sins" he smiled as he faced Mystogen, "that young man," he said "I called out to him as he left"

"I know," Mystogen told him as Faust smiled at the memory

Faust looked on as he watched Natsu leave. "Solidarity, courage, conviction. It seems I had forgotten some important things..." he asked him, "tell me what your conviction is."

Natsu, hearing this, looked at him and smiled. "I guess you can say it's my friends.

"hearing those words stirred something in me," Faust said, as he smiled, "something I haven't felt in a long time." He smiled as he looked back at Coco. "Coco, my child, never stop running.

"I won't," she said as he soon left the palace, Mystogen doing the signature fairy tail goodbye as he walked off in the distance

in the city; the edolas wizards had quickly arrived and were greeted by the townsfolk "any needs you have," edo Lucy shouted, "feel free to come to us" as she and the rest of the girls and guys all landed on the ground soon people started asking for help getting lumber and other things they would need to rebuild the city Mystogen seeing this as he walked in went the great the former wizards

"welcome," Mystogen asked as he walked up to Lucy. "I see you're going to be setting up shop here."

"so long as where needed," she told him, "is Wendy and Lisanna here," Lucy asked in concern.

"I'm afraid not, Lucy," he told her, "they left this morning and haven't returned."

"I see," Lucy said, placing a finger on her chin. "I wonder where they could be"

deep in the forest, miles away from the royal city, Lisanna and Wendy stood over a grave. Lisanna had laid a pair of flowers on it as Wendy let out a sigh. "I'm sorry I never took you here," she told her, "I guess I figured no one would ever think to look for me here."

"it's okay," Lisanna told her. "I feel at peace now," she smiled "it may have been short, and he may have been from another dimension, but it is still nice to see him again" Lisanna smiled "besides," Lisanna said, "maybe, there's a world out there, where we are all together" she turned to Wendy and flashed her a smile, "and that helps me ya know."

Wendy smiled; she could still feel Natsu's warmth. "I miss him," she told her.

"I do too, kiddo," Lisanna told her younger companion, "but know that Natsu did everything he could to make sure you were safe" she smiled "everything he ever did was to make sure you knew what peace was"

Wendy smiled as she placed something down. It was a piece of the magic lacrmia that fueled the magic car. She remembered when Natsu taught her how to install it. The memories flashed through her mind as she hummed something.

"I want to tell you right now what is in my connected heart."

" The unreachable feeling in the hidden scar."

" In the depths of my heart."

" That clings to my dream."

"As if It'll never let go."

"Without looking back, trembling footsteps."

"take one step to tomorrow. I want to tell you right now It's okay,"

"hold my hand. Let's start again from here. However, many times I wish for that future."

"you were so young back then," Lisanna told her. "I remember him singing to you," she looked down, "hey, about what we talked about," Lisanna asked, "are you sure."

"yeah," edo Wendy told her, "this world doesn't need fairies anymore" she smiled "they need to grow on their own," edo Wendy said, "under our new king, they can do that" she smiled, "but I'm not going to shackle them down" she then stood up "besides working for the kingdom doesn't seem like my thing, what about you."

"Lucy's grown," Lisanna said "she can lead them now" she smiled, "I think it's time we went out and just lived; it's what he would want"

Wendy smiled as she looked to the sky "yeah," before picking up her bag, standing alongside Lisanna as the two started to walk off where they were going; they didn't know, but they had each other, and to them, that was all that mattered.

In earth's land, our heroes are finally able to return to a fairy pub; as they enter, they are greeted by the smiling faces of all their friends. "I'm glad there, alright," Lucy said, "feels like forever since we've been here."

"there you kids are," Mavis said, walking up to them "we wondered where you all ran off to"

"it's a long story, master," Natsu told her as all his friends laughed. Panther lily was still taking in his surroundings. He noted the relaxed nature of the place; a sense of ease came over him "oh, and this is panther Lily; Natsu told her he's going to become Gajeel's new partner."

"Okay, now I'm curious," Mavis asked "what have you kids been up to"

Soon the group had explained everything from Magnolia being taken and turned into a lacrmia to their adventures in edolas, even their counterparts, which had some of them in an embarrassing state.

"I want to go to this edolas," Juvia said, a dark cloud hanging over her behind her Alzack, and Bisca also stated how they wanted to go to edolas.

"yo, Happy," Gildarts called. "I hear you and Natsu were kicking but in edolas."

"Aye, sir," Happy said

"So, what's this I hear about you are meeting an edolas Lisanna there, Natsu," he said with a teasing grin.

"shut it."

"have you told Mira yet," Elfman asked.

"Naw figured I'd wait till we got home," Natsu told him as behind people started to get into a fight which Elfman and Natsu proudly joined "man," Lily said as he watched from the sidelines, "they certainly are a rowdy bunch."

"you learn to live with it," Carla told him.

"Aye, sir," Happy told him. "Besides, people are just excited right to now. It'll cool down after a while" Lily still had a nervous look in his eye as Erza approached him.

"no need to worry, Lily," she told him, "like you, everyone here never had a place to call home, so in a way, we understand you in that regard."

"Erza," he asked

"oh yes," Carla told him. "I forgot you worked with the less than pleasant Erza nightwalker."

"you'll like ours a lot better," Happy said, munching on a fish.

"despite you being different," Lily told her, "I find it comforting to find a familiar face around here."

"hey, Salamander, little girl," Gajeel screamed out of nowhere. "I beat ya. My Lily could take on both your cats."

"oh yeah," Natsu went on, "what makes you sure about that"

"cause," Gajeel said, " Lily strong with a capital S."

"yeah, well, Happy's a cat with a lower-case c," Natsu shouted.

"do we get a say in this" Happy asked? "I don't want to fight someone I know I can't win against," he said

"well, don't sell yourself short Happy," Carla told him, a slight blush on her face, "you'll never know if you don't try."

"you think so, Carla," Happy asked, a large blush now on his face.

"now wait," Lily said before it continued any further " now, I may have a new form but remember, I was a division commander back in edolas," he said. Happy "if we were to fight, you could be seriously injured," he smiled as he looked at both Carla and Happy " I, for one, was hoping we could be friends from now on."

"I guess," Carla said

"oh yeah," Happy told him, giving him a high five.

"that was mature of you," Erza told him.

"It just seems that way cause they're childish," Lily said as they watched them get into a fight, dragging Gray and Elfman in as many more started to hop in. "It looks like they took up the fighting themselves.

"flesh striking flesh repeatedly with force," Juvia said, a bit of drool coming from her mouth. "I'll join you," she shouted. She started to take off her clothes.

"no, don't strip," Lucy screamed.

"I guess I can take this opportunity to cut loose," Freed said as Bixlow got next to him.

"oh boy," Mavis said, "hey Natsu," she called, catching the boy's attention as he effortlessly tossed Nab to the side "so what was I like in this other world," Mavis asked, "come on, tell me I curious."

Natsu's mind flashed as all the terrible things that happened to him floated through his mind. "I don' think I met you," Natsu said, "but I think I saw Gramps, he looked like the king of that world, so maybe you were on his advisors."

"Hmm," Mavis said, a hint of disappointment in her voice.

"so, what was I, Natsu," Gildarts asked, "was I a dashing prince or an awesome knight."

"I don't recall ever meeting someone like you," Natsu said, "it's possible you were a frog or a fish or something."

"not funny, Natsu," Gildarts shouted.

"Hey Natsu, didn't you start this fight," Gray shouted, "you better get back over here, or you will regret it."

"only a coward walks away from a fight he started," Freed taunted, "looks like we're finally seeing-" before he could finish, Natsu punched him square in the jaw, sending him into a wall.

"saw that coming," Mavis said. "Gildarts," she said, getting the man's attention. "I'm worried about Mystogen," she looked down. "I can't help but worry about him. He's one of my children."

"and for that very reason, he'll be fine," Gildarts told her "you raised him, and because of that, he'll make a fine leader," he told her. Mavis smiled as she looked to the sky, an image of Mystogen appearing in her head.

"Yeah, I guess you're right."

Miles away in the town of Era, the newly formed magic council had come together. "I think it's time we had a serious talk of the town of magnolia."

"yes, the town of magic," another said, "org, what is your history with the town."

Org frowned as he took the stand, "the solo wizard group known as fairy tail is said to reside there along with mysterious tree wizard known as Salamander, the she-devil, and Mystogen."

"Have we them opened up to creating a guild there," someone asked.

"no," Org told them, "the town has denied all attempts to place a guild in their territory," he said, "even the mighty phantom lord failed in that regard."

"that is another matter," someone else asked, "how was it a group of wizards was able to defeat a member of the wizard saints."

"I believe whoever the master of our three mysterious wizards would be the cause," he said

"and what of their relation to Jellal," another member asked.

"as far as we can tell," Org said, "the members of this fairy tail group are the only ones who have a history with Jellal," he explained, "Namely the solo wizard Erza scarlet."

A tall and fit older man in the middle of the room with long graying hair and a long beard. He is moderately clad in fitted armor; has an ornate cape over his shoulders. He also sports a stereotypical wizard hat. "solo wizards," he muttered. "I thought they died out after the second trade war."

"no," Org said, "there are several charters that Magnolia has with us that prevent a guild from being formed," Org told him, "not to mention it seems to be under the protection of a ragtag team of solo wizard plus another group who are named the three children of Magnolia," Org told him "no conformation, but their power is said to be on pare with wizard saints."

"Ha," someone in the room laughed, "no one could hope to beat a wizard saint," he smiled "well, show these wizards.

"Hmm," he said, "summon them," he called "Lahar and Dornbolt" as Lahar walked into the magic council, a mysterious man behind him " with the dark guild returning, we are given little choice but to force Magnolia's hand."

Back at home, Natsu had opened up to Mavis and Mira about everything that happened in edolas, much to Mira's shock. As he went on, he stopped to ask her a question, "and the end of it," he told her," I received a vision; I could see the life the other me had with the Lisanna and Wendy of that world," he told them "the time they spent together what they did, hell even the birthdays."

"that is strange," Mavis answered, sitting down "maybe it was a by-product of expelling so much magic power at once," she said, her stroke on her chin, "so many possibilities."

"or maybe," Mira said, finally speaking up, "maybe it was a gift" she then felt Natsu reach over the couch with a smile on his face.

"yeah," he told her, "a gift."

he was holding something in front of it was a small envelope it was a tad bit messed up, but she recognized the handwriting in bold words 'for big sis' "I know this handwriting" she looked at Natsu, who smiled as she tore the letter from him and opened everyone in the house watching her with bated breath as tears formed on bar maidens face "your one hell of a messenger" Mira told Natsu as she wiped the tears from her eyes "ya know that"

Natsu smiled as she jumped up and hugged him, "thank you," she told him, "thank you."

so much to talk about in so little time, so I guess I'll say that I enjoyed writing this arc, and I hope you all enjoyed reading it. As I said initially, this is one of my favorite arcs in fairy tail. so anyway, with that out of the way, I have good news and bad news

the good news is I will be going to Tenrou Island cause well; I have nothing better to do now

the bad news is I'm not starting it till probably mid-July, well cause I'm shifting focus to my other story, and I want to add some chapter over there that and well, there are some things I want to look and see how to do, namely for the seven kin of purgatory I might change up some stuff about some the characters might not so I want to look at before I start writing anything

In a forest, a mysterious young boy is lying alone on the ground with his head resting on his hands. he is looking at the sky as he raises a deer sees him; he gives a weak smile as it runs off before lying back down

"the sky," he muttered. "I wonder why it seems so lonely," he smiled as another thought crossed his mind " I wonder when we'll see each other again," he said to no one. "I hope it soon."
