Hey fairy tail fans, welcome to the one hundred and first chapter of a fairy tail re-told. and as of now, we are getting into the genuine best parts of the Tenrou Island arc so instead of stalling for an intro, let's hop right into it
Also, I updated a few chapters in the tower of heaven arc and introduced a wizard saint. You might recognize her as one of the Garou Knights, Cosmos; the main point is that I wanted to introduce a few more wizard saints in the story. We've only officially met eight, counting Jose and Jellal, who left or were excommunicated. So a few more wouldn't hurt. Of course, I'll try to add a few more as the story progresses, but we'll see if I get that far.
Now, why Cosmos well, I wanted to have at least one more solo wizard that would be a wizard saint, and she technically qualifies in that regard though you know she hadn't been introduced yet, but hey, now you have something to look forward to. Out of all the Garou Knights, I honestly liked her powers the best, and she seemed the most likely to be given the title. So let me know what you think.

Lucy: the second part of the trial has begun

Lucy: Why do you say that
Natsu: no reason
The air around them was cold. As the man looked at Natsu, the leaves spread throughout the recent attack started to dissolve in the wind. The pure shock was written all over his face as Evergreen looked up. "I'm glad you showed up when you did, Natsu."
"Me too," Elfman muttered, "but next time, give us a heads up," Natsu said nothing as he glared at the man.
'Why is there a familiar sent about him' Natsu thought. He didn't like what was going on, yet there was that air of familiarity one he got when he was around Mavis. What was it? He stepped forward, motioning for Evergreen and Elfman to get behind him. "Natsu," a voice called, "what happened? Did you need to make a stink in the bushes" it was Happy "woah," the feline screamed, "what happened to all the trees."
"Not just the trees," Evergreen muttered "everything withered and died"
The Black Wizard
"I'm only going to ask this once," Natsu said, looking at the man who was still crying "who are you, and what are you doing on Tenrou Island," he said, stepping forward, "and how did you find your way here."
"Natsu," the man muttered again, "you've grown," he said, tears still in his eyes.
"what's with all the sissy tears" Elfman muttered.
"His creep factor is going sky high for me," Evergreen added
Natsu made a move forward, but something in him changed. He felt anger why he didn't know "tell me, Natsu," he asked, making him stop "have you gained the power that you seek," he asked, "what I'm asking is how powerful are you."
"Do I know you," Natsu asked?
"I see" the man smiled before something happened. He clutched his face in pain as he started to scream. "Please, you have to get away," he yelled at Natsu "why," he shouted, "all I want is this endless pain to stop; why does it torment me."
"Get back" Natsu screamed as another black void shot from the man. Elfman grabbed Happy as he and Evergreen ran away, soon trying to escape the blast radius. The black mist covered the areas as they disappeared. Natsu sat up, shaking his head and looking around "are you guys okay" Natsu shouted.
"Yeah," Elfman said
"he's gone," Evergreen told them
"You sound disappointed."
"Natsu," Happy screamed, looking at him in shock, "your scarf turned back."
"what" Natsu looked down and noticed that his scarf had turned black. He clutched anger coming over his face. Whatever happened, his scarf somehow protected him 'was it Igneel," Natsu thought to himself as he stood up.

"Natsu," Happy asked as his best friend said nothing. There was a feeling in the air that the entire Island felt. Mira, who was still at the camp, looked up 'what is this," she thought to herself, and why does it remind me of master Mavis? she said, looking around, she felt nothing but the cool breeze against her skin 'Natsu' she muttered 'I hope you're okay out there
from her spot Mavis sat alone, still meditating 'was this the threat that Carla foresaw' shaking her head, 'it can't be.'
Mest, still with Wendy, had a sinister look on his face 'it's him,' he thought to himself, sitting somewhere on the Island. The man sat down, wiping away the tears as he looked to the sky 'it's still,' he thought to himself, 'it's still so lonely; why does the world reject me.'
In an airship in the sky above Tenrou Island, Ultear rolls her crystal ball across her arm smiling as she stops an image of Tenrou Island. appearing as a smile forms on her face "it would appear our quarry is on Tenrou Island," she said, "soon our hunt will be at an end, master Hades."

"Finally," the man breathed out. A shadow covered his face as he sat up, one red eye showing, "I will finally meet the man who is responsible for showing the world the true nature of the dark arts." he smiled "in his time, the demons created chaos of untold proportions the shadow removed as he smiled "the time has come soon the abyss of sorcery will be within our grasp, and Tenrou Island will run red with the blood of Mavis as her children" he laughed in front of him where several wizards "and the world will fear our name.
"Grimoire heart" soon a large crowd cheered many soldiers wearing masks with e Grimore heart guild mark on their face as Ultear stepped forward. "If all goes to plan out, dreams will soon become a reality."
"Master," she said, "we should exercise caution, though" she looked at the crystal ball again. "Mavis and her children of Magnolia are no laughing matter."
"Oh please," a voice called. He had long and spiky blond hair that reached his lower back. And a psychotic grin on his face as he shows his teeth. He wears a yellow and dark blue skirt-like armor with a red waist ribbon that exposes the right side of his chest and right shoulder, where his guild mark tattoo is located. his name was Zancrow "like those weaklings, could stand up to our power," he said, "so what if they were able to take down the Oracion seis and Zero? The allied forces were there for that. a black flame grew across his body "there nothing but a group of weaklings compared to me."
"You should beware of overconfidence," another said, her pink hair swaying a tight, purple leotard with brownish thigh-high boots with white stripes at the top. Over her uniform, she wears a red cape with a golden lining around the edges. The cape's left-shoulder portion has the symbol of Grimoire Heart in white. Her name was Meredy. She gave Zancrow a passive-aggressive glare as she stood up, clearly uncomfortable, "Analysis dictates the salamander and she-devil are no laughing matter. Both are said to rival the power of Wizard saints. I would advise caution against these powerful wizards." she smiled." The mysterious Mystogen reports dictate that he alone destroyed every branch of the phantom lord guild. However, there is no information about whether he was on the Island.
"Overconfidence could be our undoing," another said. He was a tall humanoid, towering over all of his fellow guildmates, who possessed many goat-like traits: his body was covered in short, brownish-white fur, he was wearing a distinctive black jacket with short, puffy sleeves, which only covered the upper part of his chest, leaving his muscular abdominal exposed, over a similarly shaped, pale yellow shirt, with an extremely short, dark green tie with flat ends tied around his neck. "Even so, I see our chances of victory are extremely high."
"I agree," another said. He had silver-colored hair in a pompadour style. He wears silver designer glasses and a dark purple jacket with a flipped-up collar, completed with a fur trimming. He wears a grayish shirt underneath the jacket with a belt over it that wraps around his waist, with long black pants and blue shoes. And a pair of white designer gloves and his Grimoire Heart member stamp is located on a band around his left arm sleeve. he was known as Rustyrose" at last we will unleash our ultimate desires, our war drums beat against their cages and cry for violence, and we will dance the wolfs of death to their rhythm."
Next to him was a huge, overweight, yet muscular man wearing a large dark robe-like garment with a lighter-colored spotted design near the top. Underneath this, he is bare-chested, although he has two belt-like collars wrapped around him in a crisscross fashion and wears superhero-looking tights. His skin tone is chalk white. He has shaggy, dark hair and slight sideburns. He has a huge head, a comparatively small face, and a thick neck. his name was Kain. "I feel the same"
"no one understands you, tubby," Zancrow shouted.
"Kain's words deciphered 'I feel the same way," Meredy said, not budging an inch from where she stood. "Rusty's words deciphered 'desire translates to wants'" she said, "and drums refers to hearts' am I correct."
"yep"
"Meredy," Ultear said, eyeing the girl, "I take you will be joining us on this endeavor."
"In battle," Meredy asked, "yes" Ultear then noticed a grin flash across her face. "I'm looking forward to testing my skills against an actual challenge. I will savor seeing the blood on the Island."
"I am delighted," Hades said, standing up "soon, Mavis and her children will see the true power of the dark arts" he smiled as he walked forward "the battel of devils and fairies is about to begin," he let out a laugh "and let us show them the true terror of which they've never seen."
"Soon, we will bath Tenrou Island in the blood of Faires."
from her spot, Mavis sensed a power she had not felt in years. The light behind her shined again; she looked back smiling "yes," she said, "I sense it too"
Back in the forest, Elfman aapproachedNatsu, "are you okay, man." he asked, concerned for his brother's well being
Natsu let out a sigh. "I'll be fine," he said. "I'll need to tell Mavis about this" he clutches his scarf 'if I see that punk again, he will get a pounding.' Shaking the thought for his head, he looked at Elfman and Evergreen "you too be careful when traveling around the island, okay," he said, "let me handle our tree-killing friend."
"He was crying when the attack happened," Happy said, "so what if its unwillingly"
"He did ask if the Island was deserted," Evergreen said
"Whatever the reason, he could be bad news," Natsu said, "so just be careful."
"Alright," Elfman and Evergreen said as Natsu turned to walk away, "you think he will be okay," Evergreen asked.
"Come on," Elfman said, "this is Natsu" he smiled "if there is anyone I'd call a real man, it's him," he said as he watched as Natsu left them.
"So," Cana asked, "Any idea where we should look."
"Nope," Lucy muttered, "this Island is definitely a maze, a part of me thinks Mavis made it that way," she said, scratching her chin. "I've been thinking," she said, coming to a stop, "what if Mavis already told us where it is? she started putting to herself as Cana kicked away the Island indigenous life, which hit Gray, who was hiding behind the bushes.
"We should hurry up," Cana muttered, "I don't trust this Islands' indigenous life."
"Yeah," Lucy muttered "come on," she said as they walked off
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Gray asked as the two girls left
"Yeah, man," Loke muttered, "We just gotta stay close."
"alright"
Erza and Juvia found themselves at a large cliff in another part of the Island. Juvia was in the middle of a crisis. 'Juvia hopes she doesn't have to fight Gray' she looked at Erza, who seemed to be in deep thought 'while I respect and admire Erza, I wish Gray had wanted to be my partner. a mental image of her and Gray fighting off the entire competition came to her mind "we would be unstoppable."
"Oh, Juvia will you be my partner forever," he asked as Juvia felt tears come to her face.
"Yes, my love," she said, "how many babies do you want" this thought was enough to make Juvia turn scarlet red, catching Erza's attention.
"Are you alright?" she asked.
"Who me," Juvia asked, scared "yep, never better, Juvia could take on the world," she said, looking at Erza "a better question would be, are you alright."
"well," Erza started looking into the distance, "I don't know." a smile came over her face "can I ask you something" Juvia, who finally came down from her Gray high, only nodded "why do you admire Gray so much" Juvia had to bite her tongue before she went on a long and painful rant about how amazing Gray was in fear of creating another love rival "are you okay your bleeding from the mouth."
"Oh, Juvia is fine," Juvia muttered, waving her off

"and well, to answer your question," she looked at the sky clear as day and not a cloud in sight, "when Juvi-" she stripped herself, "I was young, and my magic first appeared, the rain followed me everywhere." she admitted "no one would come near me, and in time I became known as the rain women of phantom Lord I was trapped people avoided me because with the rain they would feel gloomy." an image of master Jose standing over her "at first I thought I was free, that my being in the Fiore's most powerful guild would bring me true happiness but in a way, it was simply another prison."
"Juvia"
Juvia smiled at her, "but then the war with Magnolia happened" she smiled at the memory, "that was the first time, Juvia ever saw the blue sky. Gray showed her that," she said before she could continue; she felt herself be brought in for a warm embrace the "Erza."
"I'm so sorry," Erza muttered.
"don't be," Juvia said, "that Juvia has long since died," she smiled, "and now I am truly happy" she pushed her away, smiling at her, "because I have people here who care about me and knowing that I find myself smiling way more than I used to."
"I know what you mean," Erza admitted. Her mind flashed back to the tower of heaven, how Natsu Lucy and Gray fought tooth and nail to save her. how Natsu carried her to the beach, making her promise to value her life. "I guess that's why I'm here," she muttered. "I owe Natsu my life."
"I'm sure he doesn't see it that way," Juvia told her
"True," Erza said, "but it is a debt I plan to pay" she smiled "one day" she smiled she saw a wired look come over Juvia, "and no"
"What," Juvia said
"I know what you were thinking, and it's not that," Erza said
"Juvia said nothing," Juvia shot back, "but now I am, and there's nothing you can do about it," she screamed, "and just to be petty, Juvia will tell Mira."
"What kind of threat is that," Erza said before the pair erupted into laughter.
On another part of the Island, a giant monster let out a roar as it was soon knocked over by Gajeel "think you can scare me," he shouted, "what the point of this stupid trial" Gajeel complained, "how does picking a cave or finding a grave prove your strength to anyone."
"Would you shut up" Levy shouted.
"Hey, you asked me for help, shrimp," Gajeel shouted
"Stop calling me that," Levy shouted again
"Hey, I came. Didn't I hell I even had a chance to fight Salamander again," he screamed back
"Oh, so that's it, huh," Levy said,
"What you want attention," Gajeel said "well, you need to get a whole lot stronger if you want to stand with the big league's shrimp," he said as he patted her.
"So, you're saying I'm weak," she mutters, getting a confused look from Gajeel. "and I'll never be strong"
"Not that this isn't fun, but you have more import-" before he could finish, Levy slammed his face with her bag before running off.
"Fine, who needs you Iron hearted jerk" she screamed
"What just happened."
"I thought he changed," Levy muttered, "but I was wrong," she said before coming to a stop 'I knew I would never be able to pass this trial," Levy sighed, 'but I wanted to because.' a mental image of a Mavis smiling at a younger Levy appeared in her mind "she's giving the entire town everything, and I wanted to try" Levy muttered, "I wanted to try giving it back." she heard rustling from behind her "leave me alone" before she could leave a sword slashed at her letting out a scream it barely missed her head.
A large chicken jumped out of the bushes and grabbed her hands, "catch of the day," he smiled as he slashed his sword again, only for this time it to be blocked by Gajeel "what."
"You shouldn't be running off like that, seeing as I've never been here all these new smells mess with the ol tracker" he muttered as he knocked the chicken away "seriously, don't leave my side," he said, which made levy blush, "so who are your new friends."
"there're no friends of mine," Levy muttered as she noticed a guild mark on their necks. "I think there with a guild."
"Then how did they get here," Gajeel asked.
"Who knows"
"Well, well," one spoke. He was a humanoid goat with a prominent flat nose and a goat's beard. He's seemingly covered in short, brown fur, and, when shown without his helmet, two large goat's ears, hanging down on his head's sides, are visible. He's clad in a set of red samurai-like armor with golden edges, consisting of a traditional breastplate bearing Grimoire Heart's symbol on it, linked to the pauldrons, which on the other hand, are spherical and take little to no resemblance to the plated one worn by ancient samurai, his name is Yomazu "master was right their fairies on this island ripe for hunting."
"Yes, Pepepe," the other said, grinning. He was a large, anthropomorphic chicken, distinguished by the addition of human arms alongside chicken wings. An eastern-looking orange apron adorned with a golden diamond-shaped drawing on the front, partly covered by the simple cloth belt he wears over the lower part. On his legs, Kawazu dons dark pants reaching down below his knees where his chicken feet begin, with a large stripe descending each leg's side. his name was Kawazu
"Well, whatever reason, we can't let them stay here," he looked back, "so shrimp, think you can back me up."
"Right," Levy said
"we're a couple of hunters looking for the ultimate pray," Yomazu told them. "I'm Yomazu."
"And I'm Kawazu, his partner."
"So, what's this ultimate pray you're looking for," Gajeel asked
"wouldn't you like to know" Yomazu let out a laugh "either way, you're not going to live to talk about this experience"
Mavis felt a shudder looking in the distance on the airship from her spot. Hade smiled as he since her presence too powerful forces are about to clash as the forces of good and evil converge on Tenrou Island in this battle of Fairies and devils. Only one side will emerge victorious in the battle surrounding the legendary black wizard Zeref
