Hey, fairy tail fans, and welcome back to a fairy tail re-told. I hope you had a great weekend and stuff and know where we're back with all the fun and excitement that you find in this story if you're still reading. The good news is that you might be getting extra chapters. My free time is starting to get cut short, so I'm not sure how long it will last, but there should be more frequent updates after I finish reviewing chapters. you're getting this one a little earlier as I just made this system, and well, but by this time next week, I'll have a better way of doing updates for this

Last time on a fairy tail
Natsu: Grimoire heart has made their assault
Wendy: and something has happened to master Mavis
Mira: and the seven kin are attacking the Island
Natsu: yeah, apparently, they're looking for the black wizard Zeref
Hades stood on the side of the Island; the flag of Grimoire heart planted firmly in the ground. "I always knew this day would come," he said, "the day Mavis and I would clash." looking into the distance as he watched his airship land, the memories of his time at Magnolia. His time as one of the children, along with his friends Warren and Yuri, "I wonder what they would think of all this" shaking his head, he pushed those thoughts down. He had long since forced those memories to the back of his mind.
"it's time Mavis sees the truth," Precht said, "unfortunately, her children will have to pay for her failure to see it."
"Godspeed, seven kin, I await your good news," Hades said as he started to walk towards the ship. "For through their annihilation, we will be able to reach our true goal" he looked to the sky.
"Awakening Zeref"
The Fire dragon vs. The Flame god
Caprico jumped from the ledge he was standing on to face the wizards he was going up against; he counted two Fairy tail members. "I hope you fools are ready to battle with me," he said as everyone got ready.
"a goat," Lucy muttered.
"there's something off about this guy," Gray muttered, "but I can't place it."
"Yeah," Cana said, "he's a goat," she said.
"Lucy," Loke muttered, "stay next to me; I'll protect you," he said, standing next to her; his mind shot back to being a celestial spirit, and he wasn't going to lose another Wizard, but there was something about this guy that seemed off," he thought to himself.
"Allow me to introduce myself," Caprico said. "I am a member of the Seven kin. you may call me Caprico."
"Seven Kin," Gray asked, "if they're anything like the Oracion Seis, there are six more just as powerful."
"don't you dare compare the likes of the seven kin to Zero and his goons," Caprico said, "they were mere children compared to our power?"
"Caprico," both Lucy and Loke muttered. That name felt familiar to both of them; Lucy felt her hand go for her bag, gripping one of her keys that she always kept on her. all over the Island, the seven kin and fairy tail members encountered each other, their power radiating from them.
Mavis lay in the forest, her power weekend as she sensed the amount of magic power in the air "old friend," she muttered, "please protect them."

A large explosion broke as Natsu and Zancrow continued their clash Zancrow landed another hit on Natsu, making him jump back "you're leaving yourself wide open dumbass," Zancrow shouted " I was expecting more from you, Salamander," he screamed, "you better not be holding back on me."
"don't worry," Natsu said, wiping away some blood from his mouth, "now that I'm fired up, you're going to regret that, pal." behind him, Wendy, Happy Carla, and Lily all watched in terror as this man went blow for blow with Natsu.
"Be careful, Natsu, " Wendy called.
"don't worry," Happy said, "when he's fired up like this, there's nothing in the world that can stop him."
"Are you sure," Carla said, "his attacks aren't affecting?" Carla said, "who is that fiend."
"Natsu referred to him as a god slayer," Lily said, "but I have no idea what that means"
"Well," Wendy started, "in our world, there exists magic that is lost to time, magic that has no known record due to it being lost to history" Wendy swallowed a lump in her throat.
"Yes," Zancrow said, "lost magic."
"you're not the only one here who knows lost magic, bub," Natsu said, "you're dealing with the fire dragon."
"I know," Zancrow said. "I'll admit I've been looking forward to this fight," Zancrow said, "you're the chosen son of Magnolia and the rogue wizard known as Salamander. You and your fairy tail pals have been a major thorn in my guild's side over this past year, and it's about time we settle this" he gave a wicked laugh "you punks managed to destroy the R-system and Nirvana. You took out Lullaby, Jellal; hell, you could even take down master Zero and the Oracion seis."
"And what's it to you," Natsu said
"It pisses me off," Zancrow said, "but if you and your friends think your hot stuff, know that a single member of the seven could take on those losers single handily."
"The seven kin," Wendy asked.
"There, Grimoire hearts top enforcers and seven of the most dangerous wizards on the continent." Natsu answered, "Mavis has been researching them, but all we know is allied with Grimoire heart."
"That's right, dragon hunter, and you had the misfortune of running into a god slayer," Zancrow shouted.
"Again," Lily said
"What exactly is a god slayer," Carla asked
"In the lost magic world, there is two magic that is the oldest in recorded history," Wendy said, her body not moving, but Carla could hear the fear in her voice, "those being dragon slayer magic and the magic known as arc of time."
"Okay," Lily said
"However," Wendy said, "there is said to be an even older magic" she looked at Zancrow. The black flames surrounding him made her shiver in fear "when we were young, we dragon slayers are even warned about this, the one type of our element we can't eat," she said, voice hanging in the air "this magic is said to be the gift of gods, noticeable by its dark color and lack of light they are said to have the power to battle gods. there known as god slayers, the first kind of slayer magic."
"So, you realize what you're up against," Zancrow said, "you stand no chance against me," as Natsu charged him again, "you're nothing but a lowly dragon hunter, but I am a god slayer," he said as he punched Natsu back again.
"I don't care what you are," he said, "you aren't taking me down," Natsu shouted.
"Be careful, Natsu," Wendy called as he and Zancrow traded blows of their magic, sending shockwaves across the land.
"You might want to start getting serious," Zancrow said, "protecting that little girl isn't going to help you."
"What," Lily asked
"Look at Natsu," Happy said, "every time they end up fighting, he always ends up in front of us."
"he's trying to make sure we aren't caught up in the battle," Carla said
"Can you guys' fly" Happy asked
"What do you mean," Carla asked
"you guys need to get out of here," Natsu said suddenly as a large flame burst from his body. "I'll be okay. Just go."
"Natsu," Wendy called.
"So, your finally getting serious," Zancrow called. Flames busted from his body as well.
"With flames of my right hand and the flame of my left, bring the two together, and this is what you get" Natsu started his magic power began to grow as Wendy picked up Happy, Carl, and Lily and began to run away "Fire dragons."
"I ask you scorch all oh divine flames from the far west to the far east," Zancrow called, his magic power growing as the two got ready to clash once more. "Flame gods."
"Brillant flame"
"Kagutsuchi"
as their attacks collided, creating a large explosion sending Wendy and Carla back as they tried to steady themselves in the air as they began to feel the Island shake
"What power" Lily muttered as he steadied himself
"This heat," Carl muttered as she covered herself
"The power of a dragon and god have collided."
their attacks soon disappeared as the pair began to fight Zancrow, easily overpowering Natsu and his fire sending him back "what the matter, dragon hunter," Zancrow called "don't tell me you're worn out already," he said as he landed a hit on Natsu stomach making him cough up blood then punched him back
"Natsu," Wendy called
"He overpowered him," Happy called
"Take this," Natsu said, "{Fire dragons: roar}" Natsu let out his breath an attack as Zancrow gave another laugh.
"Did you know it was God who gave humans the knowledge of fire? It was neither a human nor a dragon who created fire. IT WAS THE GODS!" he screamed as the flames consumed him. A look of horror grew on Natsu's face as he watched Zancrow consume his fire" now that's some tasty fire."
"No way he," Wendy said in fear, "he ate Natsu's fire."
"he has no manners," Carla muttered as Zancrow let out a burp
"Now," Zancrow said smiling, "I'll send you off with a gift" Zancrow smiled, "{Flame gods: Bellow,}" Zancrow shot his breath attack at Natsu. Seeing this, Natsu got ready to defend himself against the flames. Only to realize that it would hit Wendy quickly, he jumped up, grabbing the group.
"Stay close," he shouted as the flames hit them, creating a large explosion.
"Looks like those dragon hunters have found out where they belong," Zancrow muttered, "in the dirt with the other lizards."
Cana fell to her knees. letting out breaths of air "damn it," she muttered, "none of our attacks are working on this guy."
"And I'm getting the sense of dread," Gray muttered, "like I can't win."
"You are very perceptive," Caprico said "you have no hope of beating me here" he smiled, "all you can do is revere and worship me," he said,
"As if," Cana shot another attack. "I'm not losing to some creepy goat," she screamed. "Caprio did nothing as the attack bounced off of him."
"Caprico," Lucy muttered again, "why " there was a familiarity in that name. Her hand went back to her keys. Her friends knew that she had eight, and however, there was another key she had one that she couldn't use 'it can't be.'
Loke was coming to the same conclusion 'Lucy,' he thought, 'this is bad; she's in danger.'
"Natsu," a voice called as Natsu opened his eyes, seeing Wendy sitting over him, tears in her eyes "are you okay," she asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine," Natsu said, sitting up "where's Happy and the others."
"We got separated," Wendy said, looking down, "to think we would meet a god slayer of all people" Natsu shared her sentiment many didn't know this fact about them. But to dragon slayers, God slayers were the myths, the scary stories that their parents would tell them to make them go to bed at night, something that they should run on sight upon seeing "what are we going to do," Wendy asked.
"I Need to fight him again," Natsu said, shocking the girl
"What," Wendy asked. "I know Igneel warned you about fighting a god slayer."
"I know," Natsu said, walking away from her, "but they're the enemy, and I might be the only person on the Island who" Natsu stopped, a shocked look coming over his face before he ran off, wondering what was going on Wendy ran up to him to where she saw Mavis lying on the ground "Mavis" Natsu called running up to her "what happened"
"Natsu," Mavis muttered
"Who did this" Wendy asked
"Wendy," Mavis said again, "you're both injured, my child," she said, her voice full of concern "what happened"
"We," Wendy stopped looking away, "we encountered a god slayer."
Mavis tried to move but was stopped by the pain she was feeling. "Natsu," she said again, "I need you to gather the others and run," she said "we don't stand a chance."
"But Mavis" Natsu" this is your home."
"there's nothing wrong when knowing when to retreat, my son," Mavis muttered
behind them, a large explosion was heard as Zancrow's laughs came from the smoke "look like master Hades did a number on you, Mavis," he said as he walked towards them, a look of fear grew on both Natsu and Wendy's faces, but Natsu jumped in front of them
"he's the one who did this," Natsu said, his voice cracking
"Natsu," Mavis pleaded, "remember what I said"
"I ain't backing down," Natsu said, his voice trembling
"Natsu," Mavis muttered 'he's trembling' Mavis said as she watched Natsu shakily stand in front of her and Wendy 'he's trembling in fear
"You sure about that, bub," Zancrow noted, "there's sweat coming from every pour."
"Natsu," Wendy muttered.
"You wanna know the truth," Natsu muttered. "I've felt fear every day of my life," Natsu muttered as Zancrow stopped, "when I fought Jellal," Natsu stopped, "when I fought Zero," he chuckled. "I barely had the strength to stand" Natsu swallowed a lump in his throat as he looked at his hand. "I guess you can say that's why Erza and I get along." he said, "the enemies we face scare us to the bone" he looked at Zancrow. He had an evil grin on his face. "And the only people we can tell these two is each other cause everyone else expects me to be this unbreachable wall, and unlike her, I can't wear armor to hide my fear or weakness" he looked at Zancrow in the eyes, stopping him.
"Natsu," Wendy muttered.
"You asked me why I have to fight," Natsu said. That's when Mavis realized he was talking to Wendy, admitting his fears to her of all people, but why "the terror is hard to bear and trust me it will overwhelm you, but I can't let that stop me, so I have no choice but to grin and bear it."
"If you're so scared, then why are you are standing there then," Zancrow said "you realize how outclassed you are"

"Trust me," Natsu said. "I knew that from the moment I saw you," he admitted, "but I have to face you" he looked him in the eyes as flames burst from his body, "because I'm the chosen son of Magnolia." Natsu screamed, "the people of my home look to me for strength," he said, "and as long as I can do that," he shouted, his fire taking the shape of a dragon. "I'll never back down."
"It would appear I drew the short end of the stick," Azuma said, walking up to where Mira stood, blocking him from reaching Levy and the injured Gajeel "sorry, but after cats and children, I was hoping for a challenge."
"Levy," Mira whispered, getting the girl's attention, "get Gajeel to the camp," she instructed, "I can handle this."
"But Mira," Levy said. She stopped as he felt a magic presence coming from Mira. She hadn't sensed this in years. "Mira"
"Do as I say" Mira's voice had deepened as her eyes flashed purple, glaring at Azuma. "I can handle this, but you need to get Gajeel to camp and wait for the others."
Azuma was impressed 'when I first arrived. I sensed nothing from her, but now there was this large magic presence; a smile worked its way on his face as Mira laughed.
"Anywho mess with my family," she said as her magic power surrounded her, "means you're in for a world of hurt."
[##Fire Dragon vs. Flame God ost##]
"don't make me laugh," Zancrow said "you are nothing to me, ya got that," he screamed. "I hold the power of gods in my hands. Anyone can kill a lizard."
"He uses fire magic too," Mavis asked.
"Yeah," Wendy said, her voice was also trembling, "he can even eat Natsu's fire," she admitted
'A god slayer," Mavis wondered, "I wonder."
"Then come over here and prove it, ya divine wannabe." Natsu shouted as he landed a punch on Zancrow, forcing him to slide back 'it's been years since I've embraced this side of me,' Natsu said. He looked back to Wendy "stay right where you are," he screamed before unleashing another attack on Zancrow "{dragon slayer secret art: Crimson Lotus: Fire Dragon's Fist}" he shouted.
"don't you listen," Zancrow "your fire does not affect me," Zancrow screamed as Natsu bounced around him. "I can do more with my flames than you ever dream," he shouted as he created a scythe of black flames slashing through the trees. Natsu jumped up, knocking down the trees, crashing into Zancrow as he jumped and knocked Natsu down "got ya," he screamed as Natsu turned to land a hit on his stomach, coughing up blood.
"Take that" Natsu screamed as he blasted fire from his feet, landing a kick on Zancrow, sending him into a tree "what happened? I thought you were one of the seven kin."
Zancrow busted from the ground smiling "about time you gave me a proper fight," he said as the two continued their clash "it's time I show why they call me the flame destroyer," he shouted as he created two fires on each hand "{Flame gods: supper}" he screamed as large black flame encased Natsu.
"Damn it," Natsu shouted.
"Soon, there will be nothing left of you but ash," Zancrow shouted
"Natsu, no," Mavis screamed as she tried to move but failed. Wendy watched in horror as Natsu tried to fight his way out. Her mind flashed to what Natsu just said, how he felt fear just as often as she did. They were both terrified, but unlike her, he was still fighting
"This is the end for you, Salamander," Zancrow screamed
"Hey, you," a voice called before Zancrow could react; he felt something hit him "{Sky dragons: roar}" Wendy screamed
"Wait your turn," he screamed
"Unlike you," Wendy said, her voice trembling, "we dragon slayers stick together no matter what," she screamed as she unleashed another roar at Zancrow.
"Fine, then you can die together," Zancrow screamed. He let out a breath attack that struck Wendy.
"Wendy," Natsu screamed 'I need to do something. Then something flashed across his mind.
Flashback
Laxus had just finished showing Natsu some of his magic power. As Natsu clapped for him, he turned to face the small boy. There seemed to be something on his mind as he munched on fire Laxus had to admit it was a weird trait. At the same time, he could do it. He found it strange to see someone else doing it as well "hey," Laxus said, "so what's it like eating fire."
"it's like drinking water, I guess," Natsu admitted
"So, you can eat any fire you want," Laxus said, "that's pretty cool."
"Well," Natsu said, "not any fire," he said
"What do you mean," Laxus asked
Natsu seemed to grow nervous at the question "nothing, just some old tales Igneel would tell me when I was with him" Natsu laughed "it's about a fire that even my kind can't eat" he stopped when he heard Laxus laugh "hey that's a real thing ya know."
"I get that," Laxus said, "but what I find sad is that you believe it," he said, "even if this flame is real, you shouldn't let rumors and false hope stop you" Laxus smiled "push through and find a way," Laxus said
"You say that," Natsu muttered, "but there are things that even I can't do," he muttered before feeling a fist to his head "what that for"
"Looking down on yourself," Laxus admitted, "there is always a way for you if you are strong enough" he smiled "come on, I'm getting bored. Let's get back to training."
End Flashback
[##Kamado Tanjirou no Uta demon slayer ost ##](this is going to be one of the rare times where I use another anime ost, but I feel like it fits here)
Natsu had pushed all of what Laxus ever told him to the deepest parts of his mind. Not wanting to give in to what he believed were terrible habits, he looked at Wendy, who had jumped in to help him "once I'm done with the two of you, I finish of your friend here," Zancrow screamed. Natsu started to unleash his magic power.
"I only have one shot at this," he screamed.
"Natsu," Wendy muttered, standing up and recovering from Zancrow's attack before falling over.
"Let him go" Mavis screamed. Trees started to move, but Zancrow burned through them as Natsu's magic power soon vanished "no," Mavis said as Zancrow laughed. "Natsu," she screamed. Before long, she saw Natsu move opening his mouth, taking in a small amount of the fire surrounding him.
"What," Zancrow said in shock as he backed up as Natsu started to consume his fire "impossible," Zancrow said, "how did he do that? He shouldn't be able to eat my flames."
"No way," Mavis said, "He emptied his body of his magic power, and at the last second, his magic forced him to eat the nearest flames," she said
"What do ya know," Natsu said, standing up, black flames appearing around his body before they settled on his left hand, his normal flames on his right "looks like I found a special trick to eating inedible fire" Natsu smiled before he used his flames to jet towards Zancrow "you're going down Zancrow" Natsu screamed as they two began fighting again.
"Damn it," Zancrow said as Natsu's fire was starting to burn him "how is this possible" Zancrow shouted. He made a sword with his fire, "I won't lose to you." he screamed as he blocked another attack creating a shockwave along the ground "you're nothing but trash," he shouted as he and Natsu traded blows.
"Wendy," a voice she recognized, though. it was Grandeeneey "Wendy" she called again. "Natsu needs you," she said
"But I can't," she muttered.
"You are a dragon slayer child," she said "you can do this" her mind went back to what Natsu told her the fear he was feeling, the fear he was still no doubt feeling right now. " true alone, you stand no chance, however together, you are more powerful than you can imagine," she said again "steel your nerves and look your fear in the eye," she screamed. Wendy stood up. Using her magic at her feet, she shot off, "unleash the dragon that lies within your heart."
ignoring the pain, Wendy allowed her magic power to flow through her giving her the strength. "I will fight," she said, "for my friends" she felt her lings moving as she took in a deep breath "{Sky dragons: Wing attack}" she screamed, unleashing a gust of wind destroying the flames that were surrounding Natsu "now {sky dragons: talon}" she called "I understand now" she looked at Natsu, who was recovering from the attack.
"Stay back," Zancrow screamed as Natsu landed a kick on him before Wendy unleased another roar sending Zancrow back "no, I can't lose," he started to charge his Flame gods Kagutsuchi. "I'll turn all of you to ash," he shouted.
"Not going to happen," Natsu screamed "dragon and divine flames come together to form one," he shouted, "fire dragon gods: Brillant Kagutsuchi," Natsu screamed as their attacks collided. Creating an even larger explosion than last time, Natsu's flames combined and completely consumed Zancrow's flames sending the man back.
"He did it," Mavis said in shock "he won"
"I promise Natsu' Mavis remembered telling him, 'I will always be here to protect you.'
"I know that," Natsu said back, 'but I promise to get stronger' Natsu told her, 'So strong that you won't have to worry about me.'
"Natsu"
"And one day," Natsu told her, smiling, "I promise I'll be the one protecting you."
"Cause I love you, Mavis, your the mother I always wanted"
Mavis felt herself smile as she watched Natsu land on the ground, standing tall as Wendy landed next to him 'you've grown so much,' Mavis said, 'perhaps we have a chance after all."
"You understand now, kid," Natsu said suddenly
"I think I do," Wendy said
"Good," Natsu smiled, "cause as long I'm still standing, no one is going to harm my friends," he said "it's okay to feel fear," he admitted, "it takes more than strength to be a wizard" he looked at Zancrow who was now out cold on the ground he smiled at her "remember these words for as long as you live." "In the face of fear, your biggest strength."
"Is having the courage to keep moving forward."
