Chapter 360: The Sphinx

The now group of 4 count tied to run away from the monsters. They attacked them and then ran away. There were a lot of them. Apparently man faced lion monsters and strange bugs… Well it was a strange bug… but then something happened and it turned into bugs…

"You know it's not as bad as that one island." Said Kyubi.

"Don't bring that up right now"! thought Naruto.

"That centipede just exploded!" yelled Luffy.

"It's a puzzle scorpion. Piece together and break apart" Said Mr. 3 "Their very poisonous."

"Hey! Shadow fox turn into a monster fox again and scare them away!" yelled Buggy.

"It won't work as well because it's not part chicken!" said Naruto, "That thing was part chicken so it's scared of foxes!"

Mr. 3 stared at Naruto unsure how to respond.

"Why does that makes sense!" yelled Mr. 3 confused.

"I don't know… it sounds stupid." Said Buggy.

"Just keep running!" yelled Naruto.

"Wait!" yelled Buggy looking at the lion monsters, "Isn't the boss of the level some sort of lion? Are those it?"

"No those are manticores." Said Mr. 3, "Their man faced lions be careful they'll try to eat you."

"The key!" yelled one of the Manticores.

"Give me the key!" yelled another.

"Ignore it! They have human coal cords and they imitate what the prisoners say." Said Mrs. 3.

"Loincloths! Loincloths!" yelled another one.

"Strawberry panties!" yelled another.

"Who's ready to get wasted!" yelled another.

They learned a whole bunch of nonsense" yelled Buggy.

"Eh… it's prison… they probably decided to taught them random things to amuse themselves or because of weird kinks." Said Kyubi.

"What?" thought Naruto.

"Just never mind." Groaned Kyubi.

"Beef steak!" yelled another Manticore.

"Huh?" asked Luffy getting distracted.

"Don't' get distracted!" yelled Buggy.

"Hey you said you'd help yes right?" asked Luffy.

"Of course!" said Mr. 3.

"How do we get to level 3?" asked Naruto.

"You're going down! Aren't you trying to escape?" asked Mr. 3.

Of course they explained that they were really trying to rescue Ace.

"You're crazy I have to get away from you!" yelled Mr. 3.

He ran away but Luffy stretch out and grabbed him.

"Then at least tell us where the stairs are!" yelled Luffy.

"Wait… the stairs go from Level 1 to Level 3! If go there then I ditch them and escape." He realized.

He looked at the two brothers.

"All right Shadow Fox! Straw Hat! Follow me"! said Mr. 3.

Mr. 3 then chased into what appeared to be a wall.

But they saw it wasn't a wall but a massive monster that had the face of an old man and the body of a lion.

"A lion… no wait an old man." Said Luffy.

"I'm guessing that's the boss of the level." Said Naruto.

"It's a sphinx." Said Kyubi.

"Somen…" mumbled the Sphinx.

There was an award silence as they realized it just said a noodle name.

"Ramen!" yelled the Sphinx realizing they were there.

"Ramen?" asked Naruto.

"Don't' get distracted!" yelled Buggy again.

"Tanmen, fired noodles!" yelled the Sphinx.

"Sphinxes are known for their riddles…" said Kyubi, "

"Wait if that's the case! Why is saying noodles.?" Asked Naruto.

"Don't know… But this is really, really sad…" said Kyubi.

"Who are you talking to!" yelled Mr. 3.

"The demon in my head." Said Naruto.

"Oh right… that…" said Mr. 3 shuddering at the memory.

"Oh yeah, I was the one to fight him." Said Kyubi.

The massive minister tried to attack them with its paw, they dodge but there was a huge crash.

"It's too strong!" said Luffy.

"Great!" said Naruto, "What can we do!"

"Aren't you two going to help." Said Luffy.

However Buggy and Mr. 3 were discussing other things.

"All right! So it's a deal then!" said Buggy.

"It's good to have you partner!" said Mr. 3.

The two did a hand grab and a bromance was born as they readied the plan of using Luffy and Naruto as bait.

"All right! I have an idea"! yelled Luffy.

"Just attack it?" asked Naruto.

"Yep!" said Luffy with a grin.

At the same time Luffy decided to use Gum Gum Bazooka on the thing.

Followed by Naruto using a Half Demon Rasengan.

"You made it mad!" yelled Mr. .3.

"Then he saw Buggy flying away .

"Traitor!" yelled Mr. 3.

The Sphinx was about to crush him. However he found he was all white and shattered like glass or rather… like wax.

IT was a duplicate made out of wax, it wasn't perfect as it wasn't painted like back in the day thanks to Ms. Golden Week. But it was enough for a noodle obsessed Sphinx.

"Look here! Look here! Which one is the real me!" said Mr. 3.

However it was clear the Sphinx was having all sort fun.

And it didn't help that Luffy was encouraging it on top him.

"It's like Whack a Mole!" laughed Luffy, "There's one! There's another!"

Naruto was also with him on top of the Sphinx

" He's having way too much." Said Naruto.

"And he's distracted!" said Kyubi.

"Which one?" thought /Naruto with a sweat drop.

"Both." Said Kyubi.

"should I add more clones to it?" asked Naruto, "It will distract him more."

That was when there was some rumbling.

"I think that might be a bad idea…" said Kyubi.

"Why?" thought Naruto.

There was more rumbling.

"Really?" asked Kyubi.

"Oh right." Thought Naruto.

That was when there was an announcement of some kind.

"Level 2! What's going on! What's with that noise!" called out a voice via a snail phone, "What's going on! Level 2!"

That was when the floor collapsed thanks to the damage the Sphinx was causing.

"This is Level 3! A monster just fell through the celling!" yelled the announcement.

And so much to the anger and bafflement of Buggy and Mr. 3 they fell down to Level 3.

However going down there meant that things were going to get worse for the brothers… after all they couldn't keep hidden forever.

Next Time: They make it to the next level, however there is an ambush waiting for them. And it doesn't help that Buggy and Mr. 3 finally ditches them! What will happen? Find out next time!
