Hey, fairy tail fans, and welcome to the next chapter of a fairy tail re-told. The battle of Tenrou Island takes an unexpected turn as Azuma takes the blessing of Tenrou and turns against the children of Magnolia; with this turn, Erza is all that stands between Azuma and the destruction of her friends and family. Will she be able to stop this stronger Azuma, or will she too fall to the might of Grimoire heart?

In Era underneath the new magic council lies the prison where many dangerous dark wizards are imprisoned after any guilds catch them, some of which include the oracion seis, naked mummy, and many other villains. One such is the menacing Jellal, the man behind the firing of etherion and the creation of the tower of heaven right now, say in a cell in nothing but a simple shirt and pants, meditating under the constant severance of many rune knights.
Jellal let out a sigh as he heard the guards outside talking while they passed his cell. "Erza," he muttered.
"I wonder what you are up to"
On Tenrou Island, Erza glared daggers at Azuma "what do you mean you have their power" she shouted, "what have you done."
"I am one with trees," Azuma said, "and I have taken Tenrou Island and used its power to strip them of their magic," he said, "this will spell the end for the children of Magnolia."
Erza vs. Azuma: pride
Natsu had fallen over. His body felt numb "what's going on" he asked. "I barely have the strength to stand," he said "it's like all my powers are going away," he said
"Natsu," Happy asked, "you have to get up."
"He might be losing magic power," Carla muttered "is it connected with the Tenrou tree falling over," Carla said, looking over "this has to be Grimore Hearts doing," she said as Natsu fell over.
"Natsu," everyone screamed, running over to their fallen friend
"It has to," Cana muttered, clutching her arm. "I used the magic power the Island recently," she said, "and now my arm is hurting like crazy," she said as she sat down next to Natsu "we have to get moving."

"I take it you did this under orders," Erza asked
"Yes," Azuma said, "trust me, I like this no more than you," he said "however, master Hades wanted to deal a death blow to the children seeing as they were the next biggest threat behind Mavis " he smiled "this is the end for you and your friends Erza."
'You have to beat him. A voice called, 'he's blocking my power, please, you have to stop him.'
Erza growled, "if you think we'll fall that easy," two swords appearing in her hands, "you are sadly mistaken," she jumped up.
"Good," Azuma said. "I would hate if you didn't go without a fight."
"{requip: heaven wheel}" multiple swords appeared as she flung him. Azuma made the roots grow, protecting him from the blades as Erza flew past him "you forget that I hold power over the entire Island," he said, "{Ramus Sica}" Azuma released a small sharp leave that was able to cut right through Erza's defense almost instantly grazing her on the cheek before he created a fist our of a tree and punched her back "come on" Azuma shouted, "get serious."
Erza landed on one of the many trunks before changing into her flight armor. She speeds past Azuma before he could react, landing a good slash on him. "yes," Azuma said, "take this," he made the roots slam against him as Erza blocked it away with her adamantine armor "ah yes, your infamous Adamantine armor, they say you stopped a direct blast from Jupiter with that" he smiled "let put it to the test." he shouted before Erza appeared in front of again in her thunder empress armor, Azuma dodged by merging with the tree roots next to him and then punching Erza back "you requip speed is impressive" he said, "your skills are worth high praise."
"I can see you're more than talk and inflated ego," Erza said 'this is bad,' she muttered. 'I need to think of something.
"let's continue," Azuma muttered. He charged at Erza again as they started fighting. He managed to punch her back Erza jumped up, changing into her giant armor, throwing her De-Malevo-Lance, which managed to graze him before grabbing Azuma and throwing him to the ground.
"Be careful what you wish for," Erza screamed before long roost came bunching her into the ground as Azuma came from the smoke "damn it, {requip: Purgatory armor}" Erza shouted as she rushed forward, slashing through the roots as Azuma dodged before grabbing her by the leg.
"You left yourself wide open," he shouted "{tower burst}" Erza let out a scream of pain as she was thrown to the ground, her armor destroyed.
"Such power," Erza muttered as she struggled to stand up "how can I counter it," she said, shaking her head. "I need to stay focused," she muttered as she started to glow. "I have to go at him with everything I got"

Erza appeared in her clear heart's clothing, gripping her Demon Blade Benizakura "this sword" Erza grabbed it, clenching it in her hands. "I will use it to protect my friends," she charged. A grin grew on Azuma's face as she charged at him again. 'I made a promise to myself,' she said. 'I will not let any harm come to them ever again; I will not fail them again,' she screamed as she slashed Azuma, making him dodge.
"Where did this power come from," he asked as Erza appeared behind him, kicking him down. "Amazing."
"You will not harm them," she screamed "no one harms my family and lives to talk about it," she slashed at Azuma, destroying a few roots as he was blasted back.
Erza landed on the ground, looking up as roots appeared around her "what" she asked.

"I must admit," Azuma's voice rang through the air, "you are indeed worthy of the praise you have" as he appeared again, a dark grin on his face, "however you stand no chance. now face the true power of the Tenrou tree," he screamed.
"he's using the Island's magic power," Erza asked.
"{Terra Clamare}" Azuma shouted as a large explosion overtook the area, destroying most of the forest. as Erza's body fell from the smoke, "I must thank you, Erza," Azuma muttered, "for you are one of the few that I've ever had to go this far on," he said as he reached his arm out to finish her off
"I'm sorry," Erza muttered. "I'm so sorry, everyone, I can't win," she said. "I thought if I let my wall down, I could win."
"{Bleve}" Azuma said. A large beam struck Erza only for a few of the roots of the Island to wrap around her, shocking Azuma. 'I should control all the trees.' he tried to get them to move, but they didn't respond 'what is this? he asked, 'could I have found it' Azuma muttered.
"The shrine of Zera'
Miles away, Jellal looked up in horror. He could feel Erza's defeat "what's going on" he muttered as one of the guards looked at him.
"What is mumbling," he asked, "Is he trying to curse us."
"I don't think so," the other said, laughing "he's as defenseless as a newborn baby" he smiled a devious grin "in fact," he then stuck his staff inside of the cell before shocking Jellal, "what are you mumbling about," he asked.
"Hey, calm down," the other said
"Are you hungry" he laughed "you probably haven't had a decent meal since Lahar brought you here," he smiled "however, if you beg, I can promise you will be eating like a king."
"You had your fun. Stop it," the other asked before the other started shocking him again as the guard behind him backed up, fear overtaking his face.
"What is the meaning of this, Nadal" a voice called, making the frog stop. He looked to see Jura standing over him "might I ask what Jellal has done to earn your scorn."
"Umm, nothing, sir, it's just," he started, "he was mumbling something, "and" he stopped when Jura looked away.
"And what was he mumbling" Jura asked
"Erza," Jellal's voice was quiet as Jura looked in shock
Erza lay on the ground in a strange place, her body limp as tears rolled down her face. 'I'm so sorry, everyone,' she said
"I'm nothing but a failure."
Flashback
"Where are we going, Natsu," Erza asked. A few days after the Nirvana incident, Natsu had suddenly grabbed Erza out of the blue and dragged her somewhere.
"Just come on," he said, "I know you'll love it."
Erza could only nod as her friend led her through the east forest, eventually stopping at a tall hill, motioning her to come forward where she saw all of Magnolia. The sight was beautiful and calming she looked down to see Natsu patting the ground next to him, telling her to sit down, nodding Erza sat down "why'd you bring me up here" she asked "not that I'm complaining, mind you" she asked.
"You look stressed," Natsu said, not looking at her, "and well, I wanted to help with that," Natsu said
"What do you mean," Erza asked
"When I get stressed," Natsu admitted, "I like to come up here," he said, "it's like being back in nature," he said, "and I can see all of Magnolia from this spot."
"Yes," Erza said, "it's a lovely sight."
"Yeah," Natsu said, "it's a calming sight," he laughed, "knowing that there all safe and happy" he smiled.
"Is it heavy?" Erza asked.
"Yeah," Natsu admitted shocking her, "but I have to bear it, ya know" he smiled. "I failed them once, and I refuse to fail them again." he smiled "they trust and rely on me, so I can't fail that."
"I understand," Erza said. "I understand more than you know."
'I admire that about them; unlike me, they don't need to wear armor. They have learned to bear their pain without it.'
"Whatcha doing" a voice called Erza looked up to see Mira standing over her, a curious look in her eye as she handed her strawberry cake
"Oh," Erza said, "going through some armor magazines," she admitted, "it's been a while since I got me some new ones, so I thought I'd check it out." she took a bite from her strawberry cake as Mira let out a giggle "what so funny."
"Nothing," Mira admitted, "just didn't know they had a magazine for that."
"Well, yes," Erza admitted, "typically you have to get in fitted sized the right weapon type," Erza sighed "it's a lengthy process," Erza told her. "Not to mention the wait times," Erza pinched her temples "it's stressing but worth it, ya know."
"Man," Mira laughed, "when I want to get good change, all I do is find a demon and perform a takeover."
"Well, you have to fight it," Erza asked.
"That is true," Mira said, "but it's worth it, right."
Erza laughed "yeah, I guess you're right" she laughed as someone started a fight. Mira had waved her goodbye before telling the pair to stop. She couldn't help but laugh as she watched Mira scold the two as she went back to her magazine.
'They're so warm and kind to others; people listen to them and count on them. I don't deserve any of you.'
Erza and the others were in the archives. They had agreed to help Natsu and Mira clean up "thank you guys," Mira said, " organizing this place can take some time," she admitted standing on a ladder, "so the quicker we get this done, the better."
"it's no problem, Mira," Lucy said
"Yeah, we don't mind," Gray said "got nothing better to do anyway" as he picked up some boxes, the sounds of something falling caught all their attention.
"Is this armor" Erza asked
"Oh, that," Natsu said "yeah, it's been down here forever," Natsu said, "I think it's supposed to increase the user's magic power," he said, scratching his chin.
"I thought it did more than that," Mira asked.
"It does," Mavis said, walking in, "but those powers have been since lost to time," Mavis said
"You just made that up to sound cool," Natsu and Mira said
"Can I keep it," Erza said. "I've meant to get some new armor," she muttered, giving Mavis her best puppy does eye
"I guess," Mavis looked at the rusted armor, "you might have to do some repairs, though."
"yes"
'But you became my family.'
Erza and Mavis were in the middle of a field. Both were mediating as Erza opened her eye, glancing at Mavis before closing her eye. "Ya know Erza," Mavis said suddenly. "You won't focus if you keep looking around like that," she said as Erza bowed her head "what's wrong, child."
"It's just," Erza said, "I don't know; with everything that's going, I guess you could say I feel out of place."
"Out of place," Mavis asked.
"I don't know," Erza said, looking down, "before I thought my strength came from not letting anyone in," she looked down, "that if I could protect myself, I would be strong enough to take anyone on"
"And now," Mavis asked.
"Now, I don't know," Erza said. "Natsu, Gray, Lucy, Happy, Wendy, Carla, Mira," Erza smiled. "I want to be able to protect them, but I can't put them in armor, and my armor feels like I'm putting back up my wall going back to my old ways" she looked up. "I want to be strong enough to protect them, but I don't know how."
"Awe, yes," Mavis said, "the age-old question," Macis said, "but here's another question," she asked, "between the two of us who's stronger."
"You, of course," Erza said
"Really," Mavis said, "in a physical altercation, no magic between the both of us, I would win" Erza nodded, which made Mavis laugh "trust me when I say Erza that if I were to punch you, you'd laugh" Mavis looked into the distance. "My physical strength has never been anything to be proud of," she looked at her, "yet you've lifted entire tree trunks."
"Well," Erza said, "when you put it that way," before Erza could continue, Mavis had struck her on the head with a staff. Where she got it, one could only guess "ouch," Erza said, rubbing the red spot on her head "what was that for"
"There is no one way to look at strength, and there are no alternative ways," Mavis said "strength can mean many things, your power, your will, your tolerance," she told her. "You can never know what true strength is unless you learn to let go of all your fear."
"I don't get it," Erza asked.
"If you hide your fears," Mavis said, "They will dominate you, they will control you, make you irrational," Mavis," the best thing to do is let the pain remind you how you've grown, how much you've learned and where you are today. "
"I still don't get it," Erza muttered.
Mavis laughed again "what's your go-to armor when you're back against the wall? Show it to me," Mavis asked; a light shined around Erza as she appeared in her clear heart clothing "that's not armor, just cloth," Mavis told her.
"I know that," Erza said, "but when I'm in this, it represents me opening the walls around my heart and breaking down the walls I've built up to protect myself. While in this outfit, I discard defense instead of focusing primarily on offense." Erza admitted smiling "with this and my Demon Blade Benizakura, I will not fail."
"Okay," Mavis said "any others," she asked
"No," Erza said
"We should fix that," Mavis muttered "you can't rely solely on one armor," Mavis said, "and I understand the sentiment, but you have to realize this," she pointed at her, "removing your armor is a big step," Mavis said, "however there is one more thing you have yet to learn." Mavis smiled "you must let your feeling for your friends guide you," she said, "you want to protect the people who you call family good; you must focus on the feeling you have when you're with them hold it in your heart" Erza listened to these words listing not moving.
"And never let it go."
End Flashback
Erza came too. The sound of explosions ringing across the top of her where she notices the roots that are protecting her when light shines behind her. Turning around, she sees a small flame 'why do I feel like I'm standing next to Mavis' Erza said; the sound of Azuma's screaming from outside started to drown out as the light shined bright over, taking Erza "what is this" when Erza opened her eyes she was standing in a field.
"Oh, you finally came to," a voice called in front of her was a young girl who looked to be in her early teens. She has brown hair tied up in twin tails and a set of bangs that hang in unkempt waves over her forehead. She wore a short orange dress with a halter neck and lace worn over dark tights. Long sleeves wrap around just below her shoulders on her arms and flare down into large, embroidered cuffs. She had long, light brown boots with dark bows on her feet.
"Who are you," Erza asked.
"I'm Zera Tenrou," she said, "the first fairy" she smiled
"Zera," Erza asked. The girl nodded "what is this place."

"I'm speaking to you with telepathy," Zera said "you aren't one of the children, so it takes a lot," she said, "my power is fading cause some jerk knocked down the Tenrou tree," she said, puffing her cheeks in anger. "I mean, come on, do they know how long that tree has been there."
"Azuma," Erza muttered, "he so strong now."
"Well yeah," Zera said, "he's using the power of the Tenrou against you" Zera frowned, "and he's also using my power to harm the children, his magic, the great tree arc, the only magic capable of doing this"
"So that's his magic," Erza asked.
"Yes," Zera said, "and now that he holds power over the Island, he is using the magic power that has grown over the years against you" she shook her head, "however, there is still a chance to beat him."
"Really," Erza asked.
"Yeah," Zera said, "if you beat him, I can restore the children and others I've blessed to full strength."
"But I can barely land a hit on him," Erza reasoned "there's nothing I can do."
"So, you're just going to give up," Zera asked
"No," Erza said, "but how can I win."
"You still have the armor you found in the fairy pub, right," Zera asked as Erza nodded.
"Good," Zera snapped her fingers. "I must admit I envy your kind of magic," she said, "but no thinking about it now," she muttered as the armor started to fix itself.
"What are you doing," Erza said
"Restoring the armor," Zera said as the armor started to glow, revealing its true form. A dual-toned armor is composed of a simple pink breastplate joined to the collar, which sports a heart-centered between two wing-shaped epaulets. The pauldrons are structured by two pink plates, faintly shaped like wings, consecutively surmounted and pointed downwards. They are adorned with intricate ornamental wings on each pauldron. The gauntlets completely envelop her arms and feature prominent feather-shaped decorations pointing backward in correspondence to her wrists. A tasset, similar to her pauldrons, with the upper white edges jutting over a thick brown belt separating the tusset from the breastplate, the greaves possess feather-like ornaments protruding from the upper edges of her greaves and the lower edges of her knee guards, which have similar motifs carved on them, and each sport a pair of tiny wings. The armor is completed with a small tiara feather-shaped protrusions horizontally and a large purplish-white cape.
"It looks," Erza started
"Beautiful, elegant, majestic."
"Yes," Erza muttered
"Now to restore its magic abilities," Zera said, "O river of light guided by fairies," Zera called a bright light shining next to her, "grant us the strength to cleanse the darkness with sacred light," Zera screamed. "Tenrou," the armor began to glow, making Erza stand back as Zera looked at her, "you told Mavis that your clear heart clothing represents you breaking down your walls." she smiled "let this armor that you can only summon once. You have broken them down. represent the love you have for you friends and your desire to protect them." she looked at the armor again "it's called Armadura Fairy."
"Armadura Fairy"
"And here," Zera said, forming something from her light. It was a one-handed sword metal blade edged with a dark shade of gray. The swords feature large, pink decorated handguards reminiscing a pair of seraph wings. Both center on a spherical gray jewel, which is shown to contain the Fairy symbol "this is the only weapon they can handle the magic power of this armor."
"what's its name."
"Umm," Zera scratched her chin. A smile came over her face "how about titania's blade."
"titania's blade," Erza asked before a smile came over her face "are you sure this can work"
"I don't know," Zera said
"What do you mean," Erza asked
"you're the one that's going to wear it," Zera smiled "do you believe it's going to work."
"I," Erza looked away, "I do," Erza said, "I will save them."
"Then good," Zera said, "now go, my fairy" she smiled
"Shine the light and cleanse the darkness," Zera said, " use this sacred light I've gifted you to save those you love."
"I will"
Azuma continued to blast at the roots, anger on his face "why won't they respond?" Soon, A large beam of light shined from the roots, destroying them "what is this" he asked. "I'm sensing a lot of power," he muttered as a bright light shined from where the roots lay, making him cover his face as orange fire surrounded it as a figure stood from it.

Erza appeared from the bright light as it faded, now wearing the Armadura Fairy; her hair is styled into a pair of braids that flow down from her head. as she opened her eyes, glaring at Azuma, who only backed up in shock as Erza stepped forward "you have the strength Erza" she said, "you've always had," she jumped away, "focus on the things you are trying to protect," she said as she sliced through Azuma's attack making him jump out of the way "just keep moving" she said to herself as Azuma created large roots to block her attack which she quickly cut through 'he is holding my friends lives in his hands" Erza said "if I don't win here" she said "they're all going to die
"Those eyes," Azuma smiled as Erza shot daggers at him as he trapped her in more tree roots "Erza Scarlet," Azuma said as she tried to attack him only to be caught in more trees wrapping around her. "I will never forget your name for as long as I live," he said "you are the first person to push me this far.
"No" Erza screamed miles away Millianna, Wally and Sho came to a stop. They didn't know why but they felt something was wrong with Erza. They could feel it Erza struggled as she remembered her time with Jellal.
'It was your red hair.'
"It's over," Azuma screamed "{Terra Clamare}" Azuma used the spell again, only this time it created an even more enormous explosion which should be seen across the whole Island as Erza was blown back, striking the tree.
"Erza," a voice called
"Grandpa rob"
"You need to keep going," Rob told her
"I don't know." Erza said, "I can't."
'Hey grandpa, how powerful were you when you were a wizard.'
'not that strong.'
'really'
'well, yes, my dear, but knowing I had my friends gave me the strength to keep going, no matter the opponent I faced.'
"really'
'yes, when going into the world of wizardry, remember this, the bonds we share can give you strength, search for that feeling and let it guide you.'
"I don't think I understand
"you will, one day.'

Erza catching her balance, landed on the ground, shocking Azuma. Her armor was undamaged as she glared at him; her armor began to glow as she rushed forward, Azuma moved more of the trees, but Erza slashed through them, jumping around, "keep moving, Erza."
"What is this" Azuma said "you will fall here," he screamed
Erza dodged another explosion as a bunch of trees surrounded her. With one swift movement cut them all down, her sword starting to glow as an orange flame appeared Erza started slicing through Azuma, backed up in pure terror as Erza kept closing the distance between them. "I possess the power of Tenrou," he shouted. "I brought the children of Magnolia to their knees," he screamed, "you are nothing {Terra Clamare}."
"And that is why," Erza screamed. "I have to take you down," she shouted as she cut through the attack. ' I understand what you mean, now, Mavis," Erza thought to herself. "I have to win here," she said "it's time I repay my debt," Erza shouted.
"{titania's sacred light}," Erza screamed as she slashed through Azuma's attack cutting him down, creating a large explosion in the process.
"Well done," Azuma muttered as he fell. Erza landed her Armadura fairy armor disappearing, returning her to her clear heart clothing. She felt her hair fall on her back as she used her sword to balance herself. Miles away, Jellal felt a smile come to his face sensing Erza's victory. Millianna smiled as she walked away, Sho and Wally following her lead.
"I told you she'd be okay."

Erza stands victorious over Azuma, allowing the magic power of the Island to return to the children. Will, our heroes, be able to achieve victory over Grimoire heart, or does the dark guild have more tricks up its sleeve?
