Wendy: I'm sure Mavis will know what to do, so let's focus on beating Grimoire heart
Erza watched as Azuma's body fell to the ground. She let out a sigh of relief "you did well" a voice called Erza looked back to see Zera had materialized behind her; however, now she was surrounded by an orange flame making her body glow as she looked down to see Azuma, green spots starting to form around him "oh no" Zera said making Erza look down.
"what's happening," Erza asked.
"The fate of those that overuse the great tree arc," Zera muttered
"I see," Azuma muttered as roots grew from him. "I guess I got a bit careless at the end there," Azuma muttered. He then looked at Erza. She appeared to be talking to someone, but there was no one there that he could see
"Let me ask you something," Erza's voice called, getting his attention as she landed where he was "do you know a man named Jellal," she asked.
"Yes," Azuma said, "Zeref's spirit possessed him, or so he believed," Azuma said "it left him an empty shell living a life without meaning," Azuma answered, "was he close to you" the look of sorrow on her face was all he needed to know "my condolences, that was Ultear's doing" Azuma revealed, "that was all part of an elaborate scheme meant to distract the council from our action at the time."
"Why does your guild want Zeref" Erza asked
"The primordial magic," Azuma said as the tree started to take hold. "Jellal had a dream," he muttered, smiling as he felt his life leaving his body, "dreams of heaven."
"wait" Erza screamed, only it was too late. Azuma was gone. Zera appeared behind her, placing her hand on the tree trunk, and small flowers grew around it as she whispered a small prayer "he's gone," Erza muttered as Zera stood up.
"And my power returns," she said. A smile came across her face, "he will be watched over here by me," running her hand along the trunk of the tree, "I will take care of him and make sure his soul finds peace" she rubbed her hand along the tree taking it in "he didn't have to end up this way" she frowned "so I will help him" she turned to Erza "you may keep the Armadura Fairy armor" she said as Erza nodded "but now"
"it's time for us to strike back."
Fairy tail strikes back.
An orange light appeared in front of Natsu, making him wake up as someone approached him "who are you" Lucy screamed. She ignored them as she approached Natsu, looking at Mavis. She smiled while moving some of the hair on her face as she looked at Natsu, as a look of realization came over his face.
"Zera," Natsu muttered.
"Stand up," she said, reaching a handout, "let me restore your power." she said, creating a tiny orange flame "there is still work to be done" Natsu gripped her hand. The fire surrounded him, and he started to eat it as he got to his feet, "feeling better."
Natsu slurped the last of the flames and gave a smile. "Tenrou flames, my favorite" Natsu smiled.
"Good," Zera said, "now get moving. We have a war to win."

Rustyrose kicked Mira back into a tree as she slid down; he jumped to land another attack, only to be blown back by an orange burst. Zera stood in front of Mira, smiling as she turned to face Mira, who looked at her in shock. "Zera," she muttered. She nodded as she reached her hand out as Mira reached out to touch it, and she gripped it. She felt her strength returning "thank you."
"don't mention it," Zera told her. "Now end this."
"You should have finished me when you had the chance," Mira said, standing up and cracking her knuckles "now you're outmatched."
"what" Rustyrose muttered, "Azuma, what happened? You were supposed to make the children nothing but leaves in the wind."
"Take this," Mira shouted as she kicked him into the side of the rock standing tall Mira smiled. "So, Erza defeated Azuma, and here I wanted a rematch," she smiled. "I guess I'll just let out all this built-up frustration I have out on you."
"Mira," Levy said
"What was that" Lily asked
"No idea," Levy admitted
"Now, what was it you said earlier," Mira said as she walked up to Rustyrose, who had fear laced in his eyes "oh yeah, you should surrender difference in power and all that," she smiled before kicking him again Rustyrose jumped out of the way "you can't escape me," Mira screamed
"My arm is a jet-black sword," Rustyrose cried as he tried to fight off Mira, who only gripped his arm before flinging him away. Tiny wings came from his shoes, landing on the ground as he glared at Mira, "you won't beat me," he shot his sword at him as Mira jumped out, grabbing him in the face.
"you're going down," Mira shouted.
"My arms are now strong enough to face the mightiest of demons," Rustyrose shouted as his arms turned black and got buffer "and my legs are an unbreakable wall that you cannot move," he shouted as he landed, "and my body is covered by indestructible armor and a mask to protect me," he said as his glasses turned into mask his body standing tall as Mira punched barely making him flinch "you're going down," he said as he hit Mira down.
"Not going to happen," Mira called as she dodged another attack from him "you missed your chance at victory."
as she gripped him from behind, slamming him into the dirt "no," Rustyrose said as the armor started to disappear. "I won't let myself loose," he said. Mira punched him in the face and then kicked him in the stomach, sending him into the air "you won't have a victory here" he placed his hand forward only to see Mira giving a stance.
"{Soul: extinction}" she then blasted a sizeable purple beam at Rustyrose as he let out a scream of pain as his body landed on the ground, not moving as Mira backed up, losing her transformation as she fell back, being caught by Levy and Lily "you two okay."
"Yeah," Levy said, tears in her eyes
"That was pretty cool, Mira," Lily said
"Yeah," Mira said, "it did feel pretty good."
Bluenote was on top of Gildarts, kicking him but was blown back when Zera appeared standing in front of Gildarts "aren't you supposed to be retired, old man."
"You must be Zera," Gildarts muttered, "sorry, I feel like shit right now."
"Yeah, that's my fault," she laughed. "I'll fix you right up" she reached out a hand which he gladly accepted. "Tenrou tree falling over and all that" she vanished, her magic absorbed by Gildarts.
"I came here to show the kids how to hone their skills," Gildarts said, "and they won't take me as an authority figure if I let a dark guild low life like you beat me," he blasted Bluenote back again, sending him the side of the crater a smile broke out on his face. "Yeah, that's much better."
"Good," Bluenote shouted "this is what I wanted, the chance to soar to even greater heights," he called as he clasped his hands together "{blackhole}" he said as a small purple orb appeared in front of him "now let's see how far we can grow Gildarts" he smiled "face my infinite gravity well, and nothing can resist its pull."
"Well, see about that" Gildarts reached his arm out. The orb started to glow before vanishing, breaking into small pieces.
"What," Bluenote asked, "you crushed my black hole."
"You want to fly, huh," Gildarts asked. "I can help you with that {Crushing Evil, Spreading the Truth: Empyrean} Gildarts called as he rushed Bluenote punching him in the jaw, sending him flying into the sky.
Elsewhere on the Island, Meredy came to a stop sensing all magic power. She smiled "well, looks like my fun won't be interrupted," she said as she continued on her path. Behind her laid several corpses of magic council enforcement unit members, all of which had come to the Island to look for Dornbolt.
Ultear said nothing as she looked at Gray. "Ur's will," he muttered again
"You can believe me or not," Ultear said, looking at Gray, "but I know I need to get Zeref off this Island," she muttered "please, Gray," she said, "My mother and I have long been awaiting this day."
"I don't know," Gray said
"Iced Shell is the only thing that could stop Hades," Ultear begged "you have to believe me, Gray" she looked at the sorrow in her eyes as Gray looked away.
"This is the only way," Ultear said as a shadow came over Gray's face. "I know the risk, but you are the only one who can," she said, "without the Tenrou tree, the children and Mavis are powerless against Hades."
"Okay," Gray said, "I'll do it."
"Ultear's face lit up "really," she asked, "thank you," she said,
"don't get the wrong idea," Gray said. "I'm not doing this for you or your mother," he said. "I'm doing this for my friends," he said, "if they can't win, I'll have to pick up the slack."
Ultear smiled as she nodded her head. As she moved past him both, saying nothing as Gray looked forward to the thought of using Ice shell going through his head, he sighed before making a fist. His mind went to Natsu, Lucy, Erza, Wendy, even Gajeel, and even Juvia, a small smile coming across his face knowing what he had to do.
"You mind telling us what that was," Lucy shouted as she ran after Natsu "you practically died, then a ghost shows up and heals you, and now you can run a marathon."
"it's a long story," Natsu said, "one that," Natsu looked to his partner, one of the people he trusted more than anything, "one that I'm not sure I want to talk about yet," he said, looking forward, he wanted to get back to camp as soon as possible he could only hope that Mira was okay.
"aye," Happy said, getting his attention, "it was horrifying, Natsu."
"it's horrible," Carla said, "the tree in the middle has been knocked over."
"Just as I thought," Natsu said, coming to a stop, he looked back, "that was the blessing of Tenrou," Natsu said
"what"
"The great Tenrou tree," Mira also explained the sudden loss of magic power. "All the members of the children of magnolia all of felt its glow at some point," she said, "it gives us strength and boost our magic power" she looked to where the Tenrou tree used to be "it is also the source of all this Islands magic power. "
"So, the tree falling affected you," Levy asked.
"Yes," Mira answered, "with it falling over me, Natsu suddenly lost magic power."
"But how did your magic power return," Lily asked "was it that spirit that came up to you" Mira nodded.
"yes"
"That Azuma guy had knocked the tree over and took the Islands magic power for himself," Natsu explained. He was now walking. "Fortunately, Erza was nearby, and Zera could use what little magic power she had left to help her beat him, giving Zera the strength to give us a boost in magic power."
"How long will it last" Cana asked
"No idea," Natsu said, "her powers are limited without the tree; she only had the strength to give me a small boost," he said, "the rest of her power is focused on healing Mavis."
"And I take it that was Zera," Cana asked. Natsu only nodded "so can she do anything about the snow."
"Not yet," Natsu said, "not without Mavis," he said, "we need to hurry up and get back." Before moving again, he stopped sensing something "come out now," he said, looking over a figure coming out, revealing it to be Meredy. She smiled as she looked at them. the snow seemed to pick up as the cold air brushed past them
"Finally," she muttered, "someone other than those magic council goons."
"Dornbolt," Wendy muttered.
"what's a Dornbolt" Meredy asked. "I don't really ask for names when I kill people" she then looked at Natsu, a dark look coming over her eyes as she smiled, "We meet at last."
'Not again'
"Natsu Dragneel"
"Okay, that's a first," Happy said. "I guess people in dark guilds can learn your name, Natsu."
"The air," Cana whispered, their conversation from earlier coming to her mind "it can't be"
Meredy gave them a dark grin as she moved her hands, pulling something from behind her Natsu caught the faint whiff of blood and something else he couldn't recognize as he glared at the girl in front of him.
"So, we're waiting for Natsu to get here," Mira asked. She had since taken a seat, a blanket wrapped around her as Levy and Lily tried to move Rustyrose from their camp just in case he woke up. She wanted to help, but the pair insisted she rested after the sudden loss of magic power she had experienced. She looked over to see that Elfman, Evergreen, and Gajeel were all still okay.
"Yeah," Levy said as she watched Lily leave, "he's bringing injured, and Wendy is with him."
"I'm glad they're alright," Mira said as Levy handed her a drink. It was warm to the touch.
"Here, try and stay warm till he gets here," she said. "I don't think this snowstorm is letting up."
"I never thought I'd see snowfall on Tenrou Island," Mira muttered as she took a sip.
"It started up while you were out," Levy said, sitting next to her "it started raining, then the snow came"
"It must have been magic," Mira said "we know Juvia can summon rain though she has little to no control over it," she said, "that would explain the rain, but a wizard must have used it and made it snow."
"Is that possible" Levy asked
"I've never encountered anyone that could that with snow magic; no, in fact, Juvia is the first wizard I ever meet with that kind of ability," Mira told her, tilting the cup making the liquid inside swish around, "Juvia seems to need rain to increase her strength, "Mira looked at her "but I remember hearing that there were a few lost magics that could affect the weather" Mira sighed.
"Yeah," Levy said, "I remember Juvia telling us that"
"But whoever did this has to be able to control when it happens," she said, "she used the rain Juvia made," Mira looked at the sky, "and created snow."
"That sounds scary," Levy shivered, "you think they'd run out of magic power keeping it going so long" Mira kept her eye in the distance."
"That would be a problem," Mira muttered, "so the question is," she looked into the sky, watching the snowfall, "What kind of wizard created this."
"a dragon slayer," Lily's voice said, catching the two girls' attention
"What," Mira asked
"Natsu told me before I left that one of the kin warned him about the snowstorm being a sign of the white terror," Lily explained, "that like him Gajeel, and Wendy, she is a dragon slayer." he looked into the distance, "he said that she could create snow to increase her power and keep the spell going because she's in her element.
"I remember hearing about that," Mira said, "and how a snowstorm is one of the signs of her appearing" Mira let out a sigh "so she is real," Mira said
"So, to stop the snow, we have to beat her," Levy asked
"that's what I'm guessing," Lily answered, "but the problem is we have no idea where she is."
[##Ultear the witch##]
Happy clutched onto Natsu's leg as he and Meredy had a staring match " so you know my name," he asked, "what's it to you."
"Who was your dragon," Meredy asked
"Igneel the fire dragon," Natsu answered
"And you," the question was directed at Wendy. The girl jumped a bit before calming herself.
"Grandeeneey, the sky dragon."
"So, you're not like those fakes," Meredy asked.
"you're talking about Drakon slayers," Natsu asked
"Yes," Meredy said, "I've made it my personal operation to exterminate them from the world," she said, "They stole the power of dragons, and that is a sin that will not go unpunishment," she said, "I will not let them tread on the name of my mother Hyōka" she growled.
"You say that like it's going to affect what's about to happen," Natsu said as Meredy chuckled.
"Natsu," Lucy asked as he motioned for her to stay back
"You know," Meredy started, "it's rude to spy Ultear," Meredy said. A laugh came from the trees as Ultear, carrying Zeref, came from behind the tree, "you mind telling me what you're doing."
"I was coming to get you," Ultear said, walking up to her, "but it looks like you're busy."
"I was looking for Gray Fullbuster but ran across another objective," Meredy said "however it turns out there like me," she then looked at Natsu. "I still plan on killing them, though," she smiled "they are still the enemy. And I need to satisfy my hunger. Since I came to godforsaken Island, I haven't had a worthy fight."
Ultear laughed as she dropped Zeref "also, no need to worry about Gray," she said, "I sent him running to his death." she shot a glance at the group, giving them an evil eye as she smiled. "he's no match for Master Hades, so he'll either die trying or die after casting the Ice shell" she smiled "so we have our chance to leave, no one will be taking Zeref from me." she smiled "Hade's ever-present eye will soon be gone"
"I see," Meredy said "then, if you don't mind," she stepped forward, "I would like to get to work." Meredy then glanced at her "then I'll decide if I should betray master along with you," she said
Ultear noticed something it was odd. The trail behind her was red. Along with red spots, which she assumed were her footprints, but It looked like she had dragged something with her. Then she saw what looked like legs "what are you holding" Ultear asked.
"Oh, this," Meredy said, "it's my new toy" she pulled something forward. Everyone in front of her stood back in horror, Wendy covering her mouth at what they saw. "I was a little rough with it, though" a bloodied and bruised Juvia was pulled through the snow. Her hair was down, and her clothes were covered in mud and dirt as Natsu glared at her. "Oh, don't worry, she's alive." She squeezed her head, making Juvia scream; blood came from her mouth as everyone stepped back in horror.
"Let her go," Cana screamed before throwing cards at Meredy, but the snow moved to protect her.
"You wouldn't want to hit her, would you," Meredy said, smiling before she threw Juvia into a pile of snow, grabbing her, "since I do not need for her to be alive anymore" before she could move, Natsu had punched her the snow managed to take the blow, but it created a shock wave."
"Damn you," Natsu shouted.
"Too late, dragneel," Meredy shouted. She moved her arms to crush Juvia, only for Ice to grip her arm, pulling her back "what" Natsu using the managed to land a kick on her stomach, forcing her back as Gray appeared, grabbing Juvia from the snow landing right next to Lucy, Cana, and Happy.
"Gray," they all cheered
"You got her," Natsu asked, looking back
"Yeah," Gray said as he looked over Juvia. His mind went back to that mysterious band that appeared on his arm 'it was her,' he said, 'that's the only explanation, she was fighting for me, and I did nothing' he glared at Ultear and Meredy, who only smiled "you're going to pay for every scratch" he growled out.
"Oh," Ultear said, "and here I thought I had you convinced," Ultear laughed, "what gave me away."
"Try the second you opened your mouth," Gray shouted
"Oh, you played along to figure me out," Ultear said. "Naughty boy"
"I don't give a damn if it's in Ur's will; I promised never to use that spell again," he shouted. his mind going back to what Natsu told him on Galuna Island. "My friends and I will find a way to beat your master," Gray shouted, "but it won't be the way you want us to."
"Gray," Juvia moaned.
"Juvia," Gray said, looking at the girl in his arms, "are you okay."
"Please," she muttered, "she's in pain," she said, "you must," she stopped opening a single eye, "show her the light," tears started to roll down her face as she looked at Gray "save her," she said, "please save her" she stopped when Natsu placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Okay," Natsu said, "leave the rest to us, Juvia," he said, "We can take it from here" Natsu smiled "you just rest, Juvia."
"Stay strong," Gray said, "don't you dare die on me, okay."
"Thank you," Juvia muttered before passing out again
behind him; Cana had taken Mavis. The girl had tensed up but relaxed soon after. Cana felt a sting on her arm but ignored it. She needed to get Mavis to the camp so she could be safe. "Lucy," Natsu said, "get Juvia and get back to camp," Natsu said, not turning around "keep running forward, and you'll end up there."
"Are you sure?" Lucy asked. Natsu nodded as she approached Gray "she'll be okay." she told him as he handed her over. Lucy pulled out the key for Capricorn as he popped, picking up Juvia; "thank you, Capricorn," Lucy said as he looked at Ultear.
"So, we have a traitor in our midst," Ultear muttered.
"Zoldeo no longer controls me," he said. He looked at Meredy, then at Natsu, who nodded before turning to leave with Lucy and Cana Happy, and Carla.
"Natsu," Wendy muttered. "Gray"
"Go, kid," Natsu said as Gray stood next to him. "we'll be fine."
"let's go, Wendy," Carla called. "Natsu and Gray can handle this."
"Be safe, Natsu," Wendy said, "you too, Gray."
"don't worry about us, kid," Gray said, "we can handle ourselves."
"Yeah," Natsu answered, "now get going; Juvia needs you more than we do now."
"Okay," Wendy said, running off as Meredy watched her run away
"What is she to you," Meredy asks
"My friend," Natsu said, "and like you, my sworn sister," Natsu said, "we don't have to do this."
"You cling to bonds," Meredy laughed. "I closed my heart long ago," she said, "unlike you, I choose to embrace my monster."
Ultear glared at Gray, a dark smile forming on her face "that witch loved you more than her own daughter," she shouted, "so I think I might enjoy this a little too much."
"You should respect your mother," Gray said, "Since she's not around, I guess I'll have to beat some into you," shedding his shirt.
"that's going to be your last mistake, boy," Ultear said, "you challenged the leader of the seven kin."
"You die now, dragneel," Meredy screamed.
"Not on your life," Natsu and Gray screamed as the four got ready for combat. Both parties started to release their magic power the, resulting in a shockwave forcing the snow to fly up the
