Hey, fairy tail fans, and welcome back to a fairy tail re-told. The battle continues as Natsu and Gray face off against Ultear and Meredy. The final battle between Fairy tail and the Seven kin begins. Will, our heroes, be able to conquer this foe, or will they fall to the might of the seven kin of Purgatory? Find out now?

Ultear laughed as she canceled out another attack from Gray Meredy used trying to land a hit "what happened to teach me respect, boy" she shouted as Gray ducked under before landing a solid hit on her making her jump back "my my, aren't you the resourceful one" she said as she created some orbs increasing the time around them striking Gray causing him to fall back into Natsu.
"{Ice make: Lance}" Ultear smiled as she waved her hand, making Gray's Ice disappear "what
"Be careful; Gray," Natsu called as he dodged another attack from Meredy
"I'd focus on me right now, Dragneel," Meredy called, kicking him in the stomach. Natsu flew back, landing on his feet, charging forward, trying to land another hit only to be met with slow "awe" she smiled, "I thought you were stronger than that."
"Damn it," Natsu jumped back, landing next to Gray, "these guys are tough."
"Yeah," Gray said, "her magic is weird."
"it's called Arc of time," Natsu told him. "She can rewind any inorganic object that includes magic attacks," he said "you gotta be quick on your feet," he said
"Now Salamander," Ultear said, "you don't see me going around telling everyone your magic" she smiled as her orb flew into the sky before multiplying "now you will be punished," she screamed as the orbs surrounded them, striking them.
"Stay still," Meredy shouted as she punched Natsu and flipped over to land a kick on Gray, sending him into a tree.
"Take this{fire dragon: roar}" Natsu fired a roar that was able to hit Meredy, sending her back as Ultear jumped down, sending another attack that Natsu ducked under, trying to kick her only for her to go under, jumping around.
"{snow dragons: frozen fist}" Meredy shouted as she punched Natsu, sending him to the side of a nearby cliff "{snow dragons: talon}" she screamed after kicking, making him send him off the edge, grabbing her he flips her around making the pair fall over.
"Natsu," Gray called.
"I can handle her," Natsu called "you just take Ultear," he called as he fell.
"Well," Ultear said, getting Gray's attention, "looks like I have you all to myself" Gray glared at her as he got into a fighting stance. she smiled as she walked up to him. "I'd be lying if I said I wasn't going to enjoy every second of this" a dark grin started to grow on Ultears face "my mother loved you more than me," she growled, "so I will enjoy sending her precious student straight to hell."
Below them, Natsu landed on the ground as Meredy landed right across from him, the wind making her cape blowing in the wind. She smiled at him standing up, "looks like the real fights are about to begin," she said as she and Natsu faced off, their magic power leaking out.
The road I didn't travel
Mira, now in a comfy jacket to keep warm, stood at the front of the camp looking in the distance, hoping to see some semblance of anyone coming and wishing that they were friendly she let out a sigh as Levy walked up to her "anything" she asked. Mira just shook her head as she returned to her watch as Levy stood next to her when they could see a faint silhouette in the distance of what looked like Carla and Happy and several others.
"Get the first aid kit," Carla screamed.
"What," Levy said before stopping to see Capricorn with Juvia making her cover her mouth in shock "okay, on it," she screamed, running off to go through what was left of the camp to find the first aid kit to help Juvia
"What happened," Mira asked as she rushed to help them, seeing Cana holding Mavis. She let out a sigh of relief "are you all okay." she looked around.
"Barley," Lucy said as Capricorn sat Juvia down. Wendy almost immediately got down, activating her healing magic "she's going to be okay, right," she asked. Wendy gave her an uncertain look.
"I'll try my best," Wendy said
"Who did this" Levy asked as she ran up to Wendy with the first aid kit. Capricorn gave a bow before vanishing again.
"one of the seven kin," Cana said as she sat Mavis down before sitting down, "we ran across the bastard when we were coming back," she looked away. "Natsu stayed behind to deal with them."
"We also ran across Gray and that Ultear woman," Lucy said. "I hope they're okay." she looked down at Juvia. She felt her body tremble in fear "the one that did this," Lucy muttered, "she was terrifying, and that Ultear chick, you could feel the power radiating from her" she shook her head "they could be trouble."
"they'll be fine," Happy said, shocking everyone. "Natsu and Gray are two of the strongest people I know," he said. "I know they could take whatever they throw at them."
"he's right," Wendy said, not breaking concentration, "if anyone can take those two down, it's Natsu and Gray."
"Right then," Mira said, "Lucy, I need you to summon Virgo. We need to create some traps to protect the camp." Mira's voice took a commanding tone. "Levy help Wendy with fixing up the injured, make sure she has everything she needs to keep them okay." Levy nodded as she finished helping her set up her station "right now, focus on Juvia," Mira said, "we have no idea how many more people Grimoire heart has, so we need to be ready."
"Right," everyone said, getting to work; Mira looked into the distance.
'Be safe out there."

explosions rang out as Gray attempted to land a hit on Ultear "{Ice make: hammer}" he screamed Ultear smiled before she used her arc of time to make the magic disappear "damn it," Gray shouted, "nothing I use is working on her"
"of course not," Ultear said. "I learned arc of time to kill maker wizards," she said "my mother," she said, "I've wanted nothing more in life than to do away with her"
"You're sick," Gray spat, "you'd kill your mother," he shouted, thinking back to the time he saw Ultear alone in her room holding what appeared to be girl clothes, but what hurt him was that she was crying. Gray was pulled out of his memories when he noticed that Ultear had him surrounded
"I never stopped hating her," Ultear growled as Gray attempted another attack
"But why" he screamed as he attended to attack her again "she used to cry because she could never tell you how she felt," he shouted, trying to punch her, but she dodged out the before gripping him in her legs and tossing him into a wall
"What trying to brute force now that your ice won't work" Ultear teased "that witch's magic not enough," Gray growled as he stood up
"No," Gray said, "I'll beat you," he said, "with the magic my master taught me" he got back into a fighting stance
"Arc of time can send an object into its future," Ultear said. "as your friend told you earlier, when ice is sent to its future sublimates, and if it's sent to its past, it becomes water" she smiled "you magic cannot win here, Gray."
Gray frowned, his mind going back to Ur's words. "I'll free you," Gray said as he slashed his side, causing blood to come out; much to Ultear's shock, his Ice turned red. "I'll Free you from the darkness; I'll seal it away forever."
"That won't work," Ultear shouted before Gray rushed her, but her magic didn't work "what" Gray then landed several hits "no, how did he"
"You can't rewind living things," Gray shouted, 'that was what Natsu meant' he said, 'I need to be fast' Gray smiled as he continued to strike her "you're going down," he screamed, "{blood Ice blade: seven dance strike}" she shouted as Ultear flew back.
"No," Ultear said, "he froze his blood," she whispered. Her mind flashed back, seeing her younger self fallen on the snow "no," she said, "I won't lose," Ultear screamed, her magic power growing, making Gray back up "not when I'm so close," she shouted, taking a new fighting stance "the grand magic world will be mine."
"That stance," Gray said, "it can't be"
"{Ice make: Rosen Krone}" Ultear screamed. Ice burst from the ground, making Gray fly back and land on his feet.
"that's the same magic as" Gray stopped as Ultear smiled; Gray could only back up in fear.

Natsu and Meredy's clash had destroyed most of the forest soon. They landed a headbutt creating a shock wave where they stood "why" Natsu shouted "what is the point of all this" Natsu shouted as he dodged more snow that Meredy was trying to catch him with "why are you helping with this"
"don't you get it" Meredy shouted as she blocked another attack from Natsu "the grand magic world is the only way I can see her again," she screamed
"Your mother," Natsu asked, "the snow dragon Hyōka."
"Yes," Meredy said, "don't you get it," she said as she landed another hit, "the only way any of us can see our dragons again." she shouted, "is to prove to them that we are strong" she cried "it's the only way."
Natsu froze at this. The first time Laxus attacked, Magnolia played in his mind the hurt the pain. He used to think the same thing "no," Natsu said, "never again," he screamed before charging in Meredy jumped, using the snow to send Natsu back. "I won't go down that path again," he shouted "{Fire dragons: Iron fist}" he screamed, slamming into a wall of snow, increasing his heat as Meredy attempted to gather enough snow to take the attack, making her slide back.

"Why do I feel the need to beat you."
Natsu busted through the wall. Before she could react, Natsu punched her, sending her into a nearby tree. "You won't win this," Natsu shouted, "I won't let you{Fire dragons: roar}."
Meredy managed to catch herself landing on her feat "{snow dragons: roar}" she screamed as the attacks collided, creating a large explosion of fire surrounding Meredy as snow went around Natsu. Seeing this made the pair angry.
"You're going down."
they began to attack again, each attack having more power than the last, neither giving in to the other's strength. "I will see her again," Meredy shouted. "I don't give a damn if you don't want to see your dragon again," she cried. "I will see mine."
A look of anger grew on Natsu's face as he punched her back. "I want to see Igneel again," Nasu told her, standing up, "but I won't lose myself," he said, glaring at her. "I won't destroy the lives of others to do it," he shouted. "I'll find him with my heart," he called.
'Meredy,' a voice said, the women's voice, 'if you keep her in your heart, you will see her again.'
"You believe that shit," Meredy muttered "they only way to see them again," she said, her power growing as her anger flared. "Is to reach the Grand magic world," Meredy said. "Only the strong are allowed there," she shouted, "and I will prove I am strong by taking you down."
'I need to beat you. I need to win.'
"{snow dragons: wing attack}" Meredy shouted, attacking Natsu, sending him back as she rushed him again, punching him. Natsu ducked under and kicked up Meredy jumped to the side "got ya." she closed her hand together as Natsu shot fire from his feet, flying up before using it to fly down.
"{fire dragons: talon}" Natsu shouted as he kicked her in the head.
'Not again,' Meredy shouted. She tried to strike again, but Natsu jumped out the way before landing another punch on her stomach, forcing her to slide back. 'I should use Maguilty sense,' Meredy said 'no,' she looked at Natsu, 'he's a dragon slayer,' wiping the blood from her mouth, 'so I'll beat him with my dragon slayer magic. She smiled "you're going down."
"May the snow of the earth come together, allow me to grow in strength," Meredy shouted, her magic power growing the wind around her getting worse.
"With the flames of my right hand and flames of my left," Natsu shouted, prepping his attack, "bring the two together, and this is what you get."
"{Fire dragons: Brillant flame}."
"{snow dragons: shuriken}."
the attack collided, creating a large explosion making the ground under them give in. falling under as Meredy jumped back. launching from the snow "{snow dragons: blade strike}." she shouted as two swords on the elbows gave her the appearance of wings flying forward as Natsu jumped over her "don't you dare run from me."
"{Fire dragons: sword horn}" Natsu screamed as he and Meredy collided again, the rocks around them being destroyed as they fell down, fire and snow coming from both as they tried to overpower each other, punching and kicking each other.
"I won't lose here."
"Hold still, Cana," Wendy muttered as Cana shifted next to her "this is only going to hurt more if you struggle," Cana, who panther Lily was holding as Wendy got to work on her arm. It was severely damaged after casting the fairy glitter spell; however, that required cleaning the wound, and Cana wouldn't sit still for her to do it.
"Well, excuse me, but that stuff you're using burns," Cana screamed, trying to get out of Lily's grip "how do you expect me to sit still."
"So, you don't get an infection," Wendy told her. "Alternatively, we could just cut it off" that seemed enough as Cana stopped moving, gripping Lily's arms. Wendy began to treat her injury "sorry, Lily," Cana muttered as she pinched his arm.
"No worries," Lily muttered. "I know exactly how you feel" his mind flashed back to when Coco would treat his injuries. He had a habit of not sitting still as well. It usually took half the royal guard to help him when he got hurt on a mission. It wasn't a pretty sight "come on, the quicker we get this over, the quicker I can let go."
Cana grumbled as Wendy chuckled as she finished cleaning the wound "when did you get so good at this stuff, Wendy" Lucy asked. "I mean, I know you're great at your healing magic, but this is next level," Lucy asked.
"Aye," Happy said. Carla smiled behind her, a sense of pride coming over her as she watched her friends praise Wendy. It was nice to hear the girl getting complaints about her healing magic.
"Grandineey taught me everything I know," Wendy said "if she were here, everyone would be up on their feet again," she admitted. She looked at Juvia, who was covered from head to toe in badges stopping most of her wounds. Still, she had gone unresponsive." we wouldn't be in the dark with them as we are now."
"Hey now," Mira said, turning from her watch, "thanks to you, everyone will be okay," Mira said. "And the wounds you can't get, or the people in serious condition will be able to last until we get back home." she smiled at her as she placed a hand on her shoulder. "I'm sure Grandineey would be proud of you, Wendy."
"Yeah," Wendy smiled; looking in the distance Meredy came to her mind. She wondered if she was still looking for her dragon as well. It hurt Wendy as dragon slayers they shouldn't be fighting, but this was war, and they were on opposing sides.
"I need to wrap up here," Wendy said, letting out air. "Cana, I wouldn't use this arm too much if you have to fight again, okay," she said "we don't want to reopen the wound," she said as she finished wrapping up the bandages.
"Yeah," Cana said, "thanks."
"Alright, now the rest" Wendy was about to move when Mira stopped her
"take a break right now," she said, "you gotta save your strength."
"but" Wendy was about to protest, but a look from Mira made her stop nodding her head as she sat down.
"okay"
[##Ultear the witch##]
'You know what I love about maker magic, Gray. Out of all the magic arts, this one gives you the most freedom. if you train hard enough, you create a style all of your own.'
Gray was shocked. It had been years since he had seen this style of Ice make magic. he forgot how beautiful Ur could make her Ice the shape, the form, not one sharp edge, the smoothest form of Ice he's ever seen. He looked up as Ultear walked from the smoke of the magic she created. A dark grin on her face 'this really is her daughter, and I'm just the student,' he muttered.
"I haven't seen that magic in so long," Gray muttered
"Shut up," Ultear cried, blasting him again with her Ice make magic "how dare you" Ultears words dripped with anger as she walked to Gray, "making me use that witches magic," Ultear screamed, her voice filled with venom as she slashed Gray in the injury he made "you are going to die" she called as she created a large wave of ice
"not on your life," Gray shouted as he booked her attack with his Ice as they clashed, creating a large explosion making the snow go in all types of directions "you won't tread on my master's name," Gray shouted "to think you've been out there killing people disgracing her name" he screamed "you won't get away with that anymore" he called his mind wth to Ur 'I promised myself' Gray thought to himself 'no one would.'
"your master," Ultear growled as she created more Ice "that was my mother, you bastard," she screamed as she ran up to him, hitting him with some ice sending him into a tree "she was nothing but a coward."
"you're going to come to regret that," Gray shouted. 'Ur was the closest thing I had to a mother after I lost everything' he thought of the time they spent together training running through the snow as Ultear ran up to him.
"{Ice make: Ice Geyser}" Ultear screamed as Gray was blasted back, "you think you can beat me," Ultear chuckled. "I have Ur's blood running through my veins," she said "you are nothing but some rat she picked up off the street," she screamed as she got ready again "you are nothing but a cheap imitation of th real thing."
Gray wiped some blood off his mouth as he struggled to stand up Ultear words struck a chord with him Ur was his master, sure, but this was her daughter. he shook his head "that's where your wrong," Gray said as Ultear backed up in shock "you may have her blood, and you may have her magic" Gray said as he looked at her "but I have her spirit" Gray shouted images of him along with Lyon, and Ur "she brought us in and became the family that we lost."
"and how did you repay that kindness," Ultear said
"I admit I made mistakes," Gray said, "but I know that she would want me to keep fighting," he screamed as he charged again "{Ice make: sword}" Gray shouted as Ultear shouted as she blocked his attack with an ice shield "I will stop you" he screamed as he formed Ice around his fist landing punch on her face sending her into a tree "I don't give a damn if your daughter."
"then you die," Ultear screamed as she used her arc of time magic to cancel out Gray's Ice. He then created some hail with her Ice, sending a storm to Gray as he jumped out of the way "{Ice make: rose storm}" a large rose sprung from the ground as a small piece flew towards Gray, making him jump out of the way "I'm so sick of hearing about how you were her precious student" Ultear shouted, "how she gave her life to save someone as pathic as you."
"{Ice make: floor} Gray shouted as he created a sold Ice floor. He skated across it as he ran up to Ultear as she tried to sue her arc of time, only for Gray to use his Ice as a springboard to tackle her "let me go," Ultear screamed as the pair tumbled over the side of the mountain.
"How," Gray shouted, "how did you end up this way."
"As if you would care," Ultear shouted as she tried to punch Gray off of her "my mother, that witch abandoned me," she cried, shocking Gray as they fell off a cliff landing in the cold water.
Flashback
'She abandoned me.'
"Momma," Ultear's voice said, "where are we going, Momma'
' I soon found myself at this strange place.'
Men in robes that had their faces covered approached Ultear. She was standing in the front. She looked at them as one reached his hand out "young lady," he said, "you need to come with us," in perfect unison.
"where's my momma."
"She left you here," one said, "with us" he then motioned for him to follow her, so she did. "Your mother left you with us to help strengthen your magic power," he explained as he led her down a mysterious hallway. The group soon came up to a mysterious room. The door opened, revealing a small room with many toys and other objects scattered on the ground "you'll find a change of clothes in there as well."
"Who are you," Ultear asked
"We are the bureau of magical development."
'All my life, I just wanted to know why.'
Ultear is on the bed, tears rolling down her face when she hears the door opens the mysterious men all there "Ultear" they muttered "it's time" they said soon Ultear was strapped to a weird machine, her arms and legs tired, so she could barely move. "I'm scared," she muttered, trying to move but failed as the mysterious men stood in a circle "what is that thing" Ultear tried to move again but was stopped when the robes tightened.
"we're going to strengthen your magic power," one said "now this might sting a bit" soon, Ultear let out a scream, tears forming in her eyes as the men watched her, unfazed by what they were doing "remember you're doing this for your mother.
'Weeks went by, and nothing changed.'
Ultear tried to run, but the man grabbed her, practically dragging her into the room where she would continue to be tested on until a voice caught her attention "how is she doing" looking back she saw a man it was Brain he smiled as he looked at her "she hasn't died yet."
"No," one said, "she's remarkably resilient," he said
"Well, that's to be expected," Brain said "she is the daughter of Ur, and it is said she can rival one of the ten wizard saints" he smiled, "increase the voltage by five hundred and go up by ten each day," he said "don't stop, no matter how much she screams
'I just wanted to know why.'
"Momma," Ultear screamed, "I just wanna go home" she cried soon a loud crash she looked up a window is broken' she thought to herself as she mustered her strength to climb up soon the place had alarms going off. as Ultear ran as fast as she could ' going home, she said, 'I can see her again.'
Brain smiled as he watched her run, stopping the guards from pursuing "the real show is about to begin," he said, a smile coming over his face, "godspeed, daughter of Ur god speed.'
' The pain I experienced was beyond anything I could imagine at the time, the only thing that kept me going was the hope to see you again, but nothing prepared me for what I saw.'
Ultear came to a stop; she was back home. The feeling of snow on her feet was painful. Still, she kept moving. "I have to get home," she muttered. "I have to get home," she kept telling herself. "Keep moving," she muttered again "momma can save you," she said when she stopped when she heard the sound of laughing going to a tree. What she saw made her breath stop as she fell to one knee, the sight shocking her.
"Momma"
Ur was there, but so were Gray and Lyon. Tears formed in Ultear's eyes as she watched them play and laugh. "Momma," she muttered as she fell to the ground soon, her grief turned to anger "she didn't want me," she muttered, "was I not right" Ultear muttered, "did I do something wrong."

Ultear returned to Bureau, where Brain was waiting for her. He smiled as she welcomed her back in Ultear returned to her room, anger on her face as she sat down.
'I wanted nothing more than revenge."
"Sir," one of the workers said, "her magic power just seems to keep growing"
"I see," Brain said, "there seems to be no limit to her potential" he smiled "unfortunately, she will be too powerful for the body link magic" he shook his head "raise it to the maximum level," he said before vanishing "I have everything I need," he said
"He vanished," sparks started to fly. "Something is going on," he screamed quickly. The room began to blow as the fire started to form everywhere "what's going on."
"unforgivable" Ultear screamed. A large explosion came from the building in the ruins Ultear stood in flames around her, the dark grin never leaving her face as she started to walk away.
'I wanted to find peace; I just wanted happiness.'
"What's the grand magic world," Ultear asked an old man sitting in front of her. It was Hades. He smiled as she stood up.
"a place where wizards will be able to thrive, my dear," Hades smiled, "where we can find eternal happiness."
"Eternal happiness," Ultear muttered.
"Yes," Hades said, looking over the book she was reading, "I see you have taken a liking to the arc of time," he said "it is one of the seven original magics," he smiled." Still, it is imperfect; once we reach the grand magic world, it will be completed," Hades smiled, "and when we do, we will be able to travel through time."
"travel through time," Ultear asked. This was her chance could make things right "I want to see it," Ultear said
"I want to see the Grand magic world. I want to find eternal happiness."
End Flashback
"If I can reach the grand magic world," Ultear reasoned, "then I can have my happiness," she said. "I can leave this cursed world behind' she and Gray charged at each other again. "I can start over," she said. "I can perfect the arc of time," she swam back. "I can make things right." 'What if I had gone down there' Ultear shook the thought from her head 'there was only pain going down that route.'
"I will bring about the grand magic world."
Natsu was thrown through the trees as he landed on the ground before flipping over as he landed in a small lake. The water was cold to the touch as Meredy came from the bushes punching him in the face, landing down the cold water, barely bothering her. She looked at Natsu with hatred in her eyes "your mere existence makes me sick," she shouted, punching him again. landing a devastating punch on Natsu's stomach, making him cough up blood making her smile."I love the smell of blood," Meredy said "don't you," she said before kicking him again
"Shut up," Natsu said, jumping back "you aren't beating me," he screamed as they started attacking each other again, kicking her. She flipped around before charging another attack "{snow dragons: roar}" she called as Natsu took the attack sending him into the side of the cliff "{snow dragons: frozen fist}."
"{Fire dragons: iron fist}" Natsu countered as they slammed their first together, creating another shockwave.
"Meredy," Natsu started.
"What," Meredy asked. "I'm trying to kill you." anger grew on her face as Natsu stopped. "I don't care what you have to say," Meredy said "are you going to say that you know me" she screamed "well, here's a spoiler Juvia already tried that," she said, laughing, "so you better come at me with everything I got"
"you had the chance to kill Juvia, but you didn't," Natsu said, "why."
"that's none of your business, dragneel," Meredy shouted. "I didn't kill her cause I wanted Gray to watch, but you're going to die, here and now," Meredy shouted as she attacked him again. He managed to block as Meredy jumped around, "unlike you, I don't need the bonds you cling to," she screamed. "I will prove I am strong," she shouted, "I will see her again," she cried. "I will show her I'm strong."
"If you are so strong," Natsu shouted as he "why hasn't she come back to you yet" Natsu shouted, punching her away "if you're so strong, why aren't you out there challenging her to find you instead of clinging to a false hope."
"Shut up" Meredy shouted "what do you know" she screamed, punching back.
"I know you think you're a monster," Natsu shouted, dodging another attack. "I know that you pushed away everyone who cares about you," he screamed, memories of the fight between him and Mira flashing in his mind "that you shut out the one person who loved you more than anything," he screamed. "You think you can only trust yourself," Natsu shouted as he punched her again, "that strength and power are the only things you can rely on."
"Shut up," Meredy said,"{snow dragons: talon}" as Natsu slid back, "you think caring for others will change anything" she screamed, "that if you open your heart that others won't look down on you, that it will make you stronger" Meredy screamed, "that having friends and family will always care for you no matter what" Meredy shouted, "that these pathic people you fight for that you love and trust will repay that kindness."
"you're wrong."
Natsu attempted to punch her in the stomach as she tried to dodge as she tried to punch him in the face, both missing as they slid back, charging in again, the ground cracking as they continued to fight, neither of their wills giving in to the other refusing to let them win.
"I know I'm doing the right thing," they screamed, their magic power increasing so much that everyone on the Island could feel it. "I will not lose to you," screams were coming over. It felt as if two dragons were clashing the water underneath them, going up as they got ready to unleash spell after spell, "I'm not stopping dragon slayer secret art."
"{Flame lotus: exploding flame blade}."
"{Hellebores: snowvortex eruption }"
the two attacks collided, creating tremors across the Island, the wind changing direction as Natsu and Meredy clashed. The snow around them evaporated as they attempted to overpower each other until their attack gave out, sending both flying back, landing on opposite sides of each a landing on the ground. The water started to return to time and seemed to slow motion as the water separated them as Natsu and Meredy glared at each other.
Natsu and Meredy said no words as they looked at each other between them. Part of the water had frozen. It started to crack on one-half Natsu could see Meredy. On the other half, he was looking at his reflection. It unnerved him so much. Meredy had similar thoughts as she could see her reflection, the other half being Natsu.
'What if I Had refused her hand that day.''
'What if I Had taken her hand that day.'
'What if I refused to open up to them.'
'What if I allowed myself to open up to them.'
'Where would I be.'
Natsu and Meredy glared at each other, hate and anger in their eyes, as Meredy stood up.
"I hate you," both whispered
"I hate you!"
the Ice that was separating them shattered as they charged at each other. landing one punch, making them fly back again, standing up until both felt something wet on their face "what," Meredy muttered, looking up "no," she said, "my power abandons me," she said, "please," she said, "come back" she cried "I can win this."
"It's over," Natsu said, "its time to" he was stopped when Meredy punched him hard, making him fly back. He looked at her. There were tears in her eyes as she struggled to stand up, her body shaking from all the fighting she had been doing.

"Don't you dare stop," Meredy growled; her body shook. "I won't stop," she said. "I won't stop till I win," she shouted as she started punching him again. "I won't lose," she said. "I won't lose," she screamed as she continued to hit Natsu "you won't be the reason they abandoned me," she called as Natsu stopped her blocking her, looking right in the eye.
"I'm not losing either," he said, punching her in the stomach and making her fall back. "I'm not stopping," he said "as long I can stand, you won't get anywhere near my friends," he said
"Blah blah blah," Meredy shouted, "you people are your friends," she said. "I don't care," she cried, punching him again. "I don't care about your damn bonds or the friends you have," she screamed. "I just want to see my mother again," she cried. "I just want to feel her warmth one more time." she reacted as Natsu punched her in the face again, making her back up, "to hear how much she loves me."
Natsu couldn't say anything. He knew what she was going through more than anything. He wanted to see Igneel at least one more time to hear his laughs, to listen to his jokes and comforting voice "you want her to see how much you've grown," he muttered as he readied his attack. "I know cause that's exactly how I feel" tears formed as he dodged another attack punching her again. "I want him to see what I've accomplished," Natsu said, "I want him to say he's proud of me."
"{Fire dragon: Iron fist}."
"{Snow dragons: frozen fist}"
Their attacks landed, hitting each other in the faces. Both Natsu and Meredy used the last remnants of their magic power, making both falls back from the sudden wave of magic power, feeling the sting of the punch on their cheeks. As they continued punching each other, neither would give in to the other.
"I just want you to know how much I love you."
Gray and Ultear had continued to battle underwater. Both were starting to run low on oxygen, but neither cared. They wanted to win; they had to win it. If they failed here, it would all be over.
'Please save my daughter.'
"What," Ultear asked, breaking her concentration as Gray landed a hit on her "what was that
'She has too much magic power.'
"Again," Ultear asked, looking around as Gray swam back. She then remembered how on Galuna Island, Ur had melted and turned into the sea "my mother," Ultear thought to herself, "these are her memories. Why am I seeing them now."
'What the hell did you monsters do to her.'
'she's dead.'
Flashback
"I'm sorry," Brain said, looking down
"what" Ur fell to her knees at the news "how I was told," tears formed in her eyes, "it was said your agency specializes in cases like her."
"I know," one of the agents said, "but her magic power was too great."
"It best that you don't see the remains."
"NO," Ur screamed, "she can't be gone." as Brain walked away, "please give me back my daughter."
End Flashback
"Why is her memory so different from mine" Ultear wondered when she realized Gray was about to attack "no."
"{Ice-Make: Gungnir}" he screamed. A large Lance struck Ultear trapping her as Ultear, who was now speechless, ended up on the top of the attack as Gray came up from the water with a frown on his face. "Ur talked about you all the time," he muttered, shocking Ultear, "she said you were happiness her tears," he revealed. "I know how you feel," Gray said. "I understand more than you know."
"Ultear," she muttered as the Ice shattered, her eyes never leaving the sky, "all I ever wanted," Ultear muttered, "my wish, my hope," tears formed in her eyes, "was to go back to a time when my mother loved me," she said, "to a time when she wanted me, and maybe I could do something different."
"I just want to tell her how much I love her," Ultear admitted. "I just want her to look at me to hold me one more time."
Gray understood more than ever there were times when he wondered, 'what if I didn't leave that night? What if I had stayed' the image of Ur casting Iced shell came to his mind "you want to feel her presence, her warmth," Gray said, catching her attention. "I just want to tell her how sorry I am for everything.
"I just want us to have one more chance to be together."
