Last time on a fairy tail re-told

Happy: Natsu and Gray took on Ultear and Meredy

Wendy: Juvia is in terrible shape right now too

Lucy: I hope they're okay

Mira: don't worry, knowing those boys they've kicked but and taken some names

Lucy: yeah

[## the day Naruto ost](at least this time it's the same composer)

The snowfall had since ceased on Tenrou Island as in part of the wilds of the Island, Natsu and Meredy were locked in a stalemate as both continued their clash, refusing to give in to the other. Meredy landed another hit on Natsu, making the dragon slayer step back before countering with another punch. This process continued as each landed punches on the other, each punch getting weaker. The longer this went on, the more tired they got.

"I won't stop," Meredy muttered after receiving another punch from Natsu, the feeling of blood running down her mouth as she liked it away with her tongue. "not when I'm so close" Her body sagging down her knees felt weak, but she kept moving. she would not stop, "I will see her again" she punched Natsu

"And then what," Natsu muttered out, "you've killed endless people" he made himself stand up before he punched her in the stomach, making her step back; she winced in pain as she clutched her stomach. She glared at Natsu "what do you think she'll say when you tell how you got there." he screamed as he felt her punch him again "do you think you can look her in the eyes."

"Shut up" Meredy tried to move; her body was screaming at her telling her to stop. "I will see the grand magic world," she screamed as she and Natsu ran to punch each other. The pair fell over "you don't know anything." their hits weakly landed on each other, Meredy's fist landing on Natsu's forehead and Natsu's fist pressed against her stomach, covered in injuries, their breaths heavy as they both gave in to their weakened bodies.

Fairy tail vs. Hades

Ultear and Gray lay against the shore's rocks, both catching their breaths after being underwater, neither saying anything as Gray treated his self-inflicted wounds "it stopped snowing," Ultear said suddenly. "Meredy was defeated as well," Gray said nothing as he stood up. Ultear looked weakly at him "my fight is finished as well," she "after everything, I don't know anymore." Ultear continued to look at the sky 'what if I had gone down there that day' Ultear said, 'would I have felt her warmth again' she looked at Gray

"I'm sorry," Gray said

"I said it before," Ultear muttered. "I don't hate you for what happened," she muttered, "but now, for different reasons," she smiled, "my mother and I were both separated by a cruel fate."

"Well, I need to get going," Gray said

"you're going to fight Hades," Ultear said "you know it's suicide to go on your own"

"I know," Gray said, walking away, "but I'm not." thunder screamed across the sky as he left, knowing that his friends would be there to back him up.

Thunder sounded across the sky as Lucy and Levy looked at the clouds. The flashes of yellow lighting could be seen as Lucy let out a huff "come on," she muttered, "first rain. then a snowstorm. and now a thunderstorm" shaking her head, "can we catch a break?" She looked into the distance. Wendy had run off; much to Carla's anger, after the snowfall stopped, everyone knew it was to go find and heal Natsu and Gray, so they decided to wait until she returned with the two "if the snow stopped, then that means Natsu won right."

"that's what Mira said," Levy told her, "And if she's down, Natsu and Gray probably took out that Ultear woman too." Levy let out a sigh of relief "that makes seven" Levy smiled

behind them, Lily was shaking as Happy and Carla tried to comfort him "you're shaking bad, Lily," Happy said, "you okay."

"I think it is cause he's afraid of thunder and lighting," Carla said

"isn't that precious."

"I am not precious."

"Right," Mira said, looking away. "Lucy, I need you to go find Erza and Gray," she said, getting a look from her. "I know Natsu, and the second Wendy heals him, he will run right to where Hades is" Mire clenched her fist. "I would go, but I need to stay here."

"don't worry," Happy said, "I'll be coming with ya, Lucy" behind him, Carla nodded as they looked at Lily, still shaking in fear.

"Oh, I'll come to," he muttered.

"Then Mira, Cana, and I will stay here and watch the injured," Levy asked to which Mira nodded, "okay."

"ya'll be safe out there," Cana told her as she watched Lucy lead the others away from the camp.

Natsu and Meredy lay on opposite sides; both felt tired and injured from their fight. Their attacks had destroyed the area around them after their violent clash "hey," Natsu said, catching her attention and making her open her eyes, "you still alive over there," he said. His voice was tired, but the cool water against his skin kept him awake.

"yeah" was all Meredy said; neither said anything enjoying the silence. Before Meredy made another move, "why do you think they left us" she asked, breaking the silence "what did we do? Did we do something wrong" she asked, choking on her words, holding back tears. Natsu could hear the pain in her voice.

"I don't know," Natsu muttered, "I've asked myself that question every day for the last seven years."

"It has been seven years," Meredy muttered "time sure does fly," she said. "I guess the days started to blend," Meredy felt a smile form on her lips "all I cared about was seeing her again." Meredy admitted, "that, in the long run, it wouldn't matter cause I would be in near her again."

"I know," Natsu said, catching her attention, "you did things, said things that you probably shouldn't have" Natsu started, "you pushed people away that cared about you in favor of someone who said that they understood what you were, that they could help you in ways that they can't."

"Would you stop," Meredy said, tears forming in her eyes "stop talking about me"

"I'm not," Natsu started as he stopped to catch his breath. "I'm not talking about you." hearing these words, Meredy stopped as tears flowed on her face. A small laugh soon worked its way out of her as Natsu found himself laughing before feeling small hands on his back. He saw Wendy pulling him out of the water, looking up, smiling. He tried his best to move as well, so she could have little trouble pulling him out. He smiled as she felt her gently lay him down, looking over her as he opened an eye, giving her a weak smile telling her he was okay as she wiped her tears and started to use her healing magic on him,

'in the end,' Meredy said, feeling her body against the water, 'he has people to come for him' she smiled 'care for him, and in the end, I'm alone like always' she stopped when she felt a pair of hands over her back before opening her eyes to feel the soft feeling of snow and dirt on her back "what are you doing" Meredy muttered looking at the young dragon slayer "I'm your enemy."

"I know," Wendy said as she started to use her healing magic on Meredy. The pain Meredy felt began to leave her body, but she still felt weak, maybe because she didn't feel like moving. Wendy looked at her and smiled "but you're also a dragon slayer and my sworn sister," Wendy said, "I know we're enemies, but I can't leave you to die" she smiled "we'll see them again one day, I know it" she smiled at her.

Natsu smiled as he watched the exchange forcing himself to stand up. He wobbled as Wendy turned to face him "you okay" she asked.

"I'll be fine, kid," looking around "come on, let's go meet up with Gray," he said

"Right," Wendy said. She then turned around, facing the other dragon slayer "try to get some rest," she told Meredy.

"you're going to face him, aren't you," she asked. Natsu said nothing, looking into the distance "you must be insane," Meredy muttered, "good luck."

"Thanks," Natsu said as he started to move. Wendy was rushing to his side, both going to face the final hurdle of Grimoire heart.

Zancrow landed in the woods, anger in his eyes as he looked around "where are you, Salamander" he shouted, "come out and face me" when he woke up earlier to a face full of snow, he realized he had been bested. He would not take that. He would find that dragon hunter and kill him if it was the last thing he did he stopped when he noticed a body in the snow. "Zeref," he asked, "well, what do ya know" he smiled. "I guess Ultear got distracted and left the goods" shaking his head, "I can't wait to hold this" he stopped when a flash went off, taking his arm "son of a" he was then blown back, making him land against a tree as Zeref stood up.

"Acnologia," he muttered as he looked at Zancrow, anger in his eyes. Seeing he could feel the power, he motioned his hands as darkwave went over Zancrow, making his skin pale as his lifeless body fell to the ground. "I'm sorry," he muttered as he closed his eyes.

'For the first time in years,' he muttered, 'it must be time' he started to walk away. "I think I'll save the youngest just in case," he smiled, "you owe me one" behind him, Dornbolt stood in terror, but Zeref paid him no mind. He was not of interest to him yet.

"Old friend"

Gray stumbled through the woods. Each step hurt. Still, he had to make it. He felt his body give out as he started to fall over before he fell himself being caught opening his eyes; he looked to see Erza standing next to him, having caught him before hitting the ground "you done showing off," he muttered.

"I missed you too," Erza laughed.

"See," Natsu's voice called, "I told you he'd be okay" they looked over to see Natsu using Wendy as support walking toward them with a smile.

"you guys are a sight for sore eyes," another voice called. They turned to see Lucy followed by Happy, Carla, and Lily "good to know you are all okay."

"Aye"

"So," Natsu asked, "ya'll ready to get some payback."

Hades stood at the front of the airship, a dark frown coming over his face. "I never would have imagined that the Seven kin and even Bluenote could be bested at the hands of Mavis' children" Hades let out a chuckle. "I guess I underestimated how stubborn they would be" a frown came over his face. "I guess I will have to pick up the slack; playtime for the devil and fairies is over; from here, it is only business" he stopped as Natsu, Lucy, Erza, Gray, Wendy, Happy, Carla, and Lily arrived "so" Hades started "you wish for the same treatment I showed you're master boy," he asked "know that I will not show you the same mercy I showed her, now come and face your doom children of Mavis" Hades walked away.

"Hey, you old fart," Natsu shouted, "give us a way up there."

"Man, you can feel the power radiating from him," Gray muttered

"We need to take him down, for Mavis," Erza told him

"If we stop him, Grimoire heart will leave, and we don't have to worry about the council firing etherion," Wendy said

"that's the plan," Lucy answered

"Happy," Natsu said "you remember what we discussed"

"Aye," Happy said, "find the thing that makes him tick and take it down."

"Understood," Carla said

"I hear you. Can we go in now, please," Lily asked?

"let's go, "Gray said, "we've kept him waiting long enough," Gray said as he created a large staircase for them to reach the ship "let's get moving."

"let's just get in there as quickly as possible," Lily screamed

"Remember," Natsu called out, "we're going up against someone who's able to match my master in power," Natsu growled, "so we need to strike him hard and fast."

"We'll make him pay," Erza said, "for everyone on the Island we can't afford to lose"

"When I'm done, he's going to be begging for mercy," Gray shouted

"After everything he's done, he doesn't deserve any Mercy," Lucy shouted

"Alright," Natsu said, "ready or not, Hades, here we come," Nasu shouted as he jumped to the top of the ship where Hades was waiting for him turning his cheek as Natsu lunged at him, "hears a message from Mavis" he screamed as he blasted him with his fire

"you'll have to do better than that," Hades teased "try again," he backed up in shock as Erza and Gray appeared from the flames Erza quickly changed into her black wing armor

"{black wing: moonlight slash}"

"{Ice make: cold excaliber}."

Hades dodged the attack as Lucy jumped behind him "{open gate of the golden bull: Tarus}" Lucy shouted as Taurus appeared, trying to strike him down, but he managed to get out of the way.

"By the grace of the wind, may you move swiftly, move fiercely, and be free of all harm, Ile arms, and Ile armor Ile Vernier" Wendy cast her enchantment, magic-making Erza and Gray move even faster as they landed two good hits on Hades making the man jump back.

"Nimble little scamps," Hades called as he used his chain magic to grab Erza, throwing her into a wall. He then kicked Gray in as Natsu popped up behind him.

"{Fire dragon: wing attack}" Natsu called, hitting Hades, who managed to jump up, grabbing Natsu with his chain magic tossing him away Erza jumped from the smoke in her clear heart clothing, managing to cut through the chain as Natsu did a flip Gray seeing this made a large hammer

"Natsu," he called as Natsu landed

"Wendy," he called

"On it{Sky dragon: Roar}."

"{open gate of the scorpion: Scorpio}."

"Wicked" Scorpio shouted as she shot his sand buster, their attack merging, shocking Hades.

"a unison raid," he shouted as Natsu started to ride. There attacks fire growing around his body as he flies toward him.

"{Fire dragons: sword horn}" Natsu screamed as he managed to knock Hades into the wall landing on the ground; he looked up.

"They say," Hades' voice rang through the air, "that your young people refer to their mistakes as life lessons" Hades chuckled "however, there is no lesson to learn when you make a true mistake, as is the case here" Hades came from the smoke his cloak and helmet gone he smiled "for opposing me was the biggest mistake of your lives."

"All of that, and there's not even a scratch," Lucy muttered, "how is that even possible."

"We put everything we had into that," Gray shouted. Natsu said nothing. A look of fear was on his face as Hades smiled.

"now," he looked at Wendy, "we begin," he said as Wendy, before anyone could move, vanished from sight, her clothes dropping to the floor as everyone stared in shock "believe me when I say that was a mercy kill" a dark grin grew on Hades face "from here on each of your death will be more gruesome than the last" he smiled as everyone still reeled from the shock.

"Wendy," Natsu muttered

"What did you do to her," Gray asked.

"Guys," a voice called though it was muffled, "I'm alright, I'm up here," it said. They looked up to see Horologium. attached to the wall like a spider

"Horologium," Gray said in relief, "nice one, old-timer" he saw Natsu take a sigh of relief. He could tell that he was just as glad she was okay.

"My automatic danger detection unit was activated just in time," Horologium said

"Really," Lucy muttered, thinking about all the times her life was at risk in the past few hours, "no offense, but your danger detection thingy needs an overhaul."

"I meant no offense, my lady," Horologium said, "though you were in danger, your life was never at risk," he informed them.

"So uh, what happens with her clothes," Natsu asked

"Seeing as her life was in immediate danger, I only had time to save the physical body."

"Wait, so your saying in there she's."

"Ahh, she screams, embarrassed. Fear not, I will provide new clothing," he said "please take care as I cannot do this again," he said, disappearing. Wendy falling to the ground, landed facing Hades, who had an impressed look.

"So, these are Mavis' children, huh" Hades wondered to himself "well, they are entertaining," he smiled "so boy," he called, getting Natsu's attention. The look of anger on his face was all he needed to see "why don't you come and show me what your master has taught you" he said

"I'll show you," Natsu said, "no one hurts her and gets away with it."

"I assure you that I took no pleasure in what I had to do," Hades said, a solum look on his face "however, to bring about the grand magic world, I have to be willing to turn my heart to stone," he smiled.

"What are you talking about" Erza, before she could question further, Hades shot a large explosion sending Natsu back.

"Natsu," Lucy screamed as a chain wrapped around her arm, dragging her across the room, knocking her into Erza before setting off a large explosion knocking both down.

"Bang," Hades said, a smile coming across his face as he shot Natsu in the leg with little bullet magic. He then continued knocking them all down; hearing their screams brought a smile. "Now do you understand the horror you've entered" Hades shouted

"shut up," Natsu shouted as the giant burst of flames came from his body. He ran up to Hades landing a kick on him, making him jump back as he shot his chain magic at Natsu, sending him into a wall "you're going down, Hades," Natsu screamed as their magic clashed as Hades landed back. Natsu came to a stop.

"I see," Hades fired a shot hitting Natsu in the right leg "you're still recovering from your fight with Meredy," he said as he slammed Natsu to the ground."I must admit I admire your will boy; a shame it's wasted by your loyalty to Mavis" Hades was interrupted when Natsu landed a good kick in his face sending him back

"wow," Lucy muttered. She barely had the strength to stand after Hade's bullet magic, and she could see Gray and Erza were still in similar states after their fights with the members of the seven kin.

"damn pyro, "Gray muttered, "such a show-off."

"you're a stubborn one," Hades shouted as he kicked Natsu away again, who merely did a backflip "had you given to the darkness, your power would be beyond human," he screamed.

"as if," Natsu shouted, 'damn, I'm running low on power, Zera's flames are the only thing keeping me going right now.' he jumped as he dodged another attack from Hades 'keep moving,' he said as he started to favor his left leg 'don't let him get you.' his body was seconds away from giving out he was definitely at his limit at this point, but he could rest later.

"you're tough, but you will soon fall, dragon slayer," Hades said as he created a magic circle. "I developed this spell to take down Meredy and Zancorw in the event they decided to betray me," Hades admitted, "you slayer types can be trouble; however, this spell will be your doom," he screamed as immense purple energy surrounded Hades taking the shape of a dragon "{Amatarasu: dragon formula}" he shouted as she hot the blast out however it wasn't aimed at Natsu.

"Lucy, Gray," Wendy screamed. She could feel it nearly being near the spell was making her hair stand up "don't let that spell hit you," she called "it can take down a dragon; no telling what it'll do to a none dragon slayer" Lucy and Gray tried to move, but they fell over both barely had the strength to stand as the spell neared them Natsu jumped in front of the pair unleashing all his magic as he clashed with the blast a large explosion overtook the ship as everyone looked in shock at what happened.

"Natsu!"

more lighting sounded around the ship as Lily backed up fear "who built this thing" he screamed, "who designed a ship with such horrible sound insolation? It feels like it's inside my head."

"We get it," Carla shouted

"We need to move," Happy said, "this way."

"don't fall behind, Lily," Carla called back.

"wait, don't leave me," Lily screamed.

Dornbolt had since returned to the magic council ship still under repairs. He came to his knees as Lahar ran to his side "they're insane," he muttered, "they think they can beat them," he said

"Dornbolt," Lahr asked, "what going on out there."

"Fairy tail and the seven kin have embraced war," Dornbolt said, sitting down "you can feel the magic power coursing through the air from their battles, and" Dornbolt stopped. "Zeref, he said something," Dornbolt muttered. "Acnologia," he said

"What," Lahar asked, "that's impossible" he looked to the side "are you sure" Dornbolt just nodded his head as Lahr stood back "damn it," he looked around, "call back all parties and finish repairs, we're leaving," he said

"There is no telling how long that will take," Dornbolt said, "but he can't be real right," he asked, "just a myth. a scary story to tell children, right."

Lahar said nothing as he looked into the distance, for he had no answer

Natsu let out huffs of air as he turned to look at Lucy and Gray"you two okay" he asked

"Natsu," Lucy muttered as Natsu fell over

"he's down," Gray muttered

"I must admit," Hades said, "I'm surprised that your body is still in one piece" he let out a laugh "you slayer types are a different breed, to be sure; it's a shame that there are so few of you" he shook his head "and an even bigger shame that one of your potential had to be allied with Mavis" the room laid destroyed. Erza, Gray, Lucy, and Wendy all lay scattered on the ground. not moving either through fear on exhaustion, He walked up to Natsu, a smile coming over his face "tell me, boy," he asked, "how did you come up with the name fairy tail" he asked as Natsu glared at him

"None of your damn business," Natsu shouted before Hades slapped him.

"Your master Mavis," he said, "has lied to you," he told him. "She is the reason you're going to die here," he said, getting a confused look from Natsu "she has taught about the light in magic. However, magic's true nature is darkness," he told Natsu.

"What are you trying to say" Natsu shouted "that's how we do things. You gotta problem with that," Natsu shouted as he tried to stand up "we live every day with our lives on the line," Natsu said, "you can sit and stew in the darkness all you want," Natsu said, "you're nothing but a coward who can't admit his faults."

Hades smiled at this "such disrespect," he snarled before shooting Natsu with his bullet magic again "as the chosen son, you should know better than to anger one of your predecessors, "he said as he continued to shoot Natsu "if anything, you should be mad at Mavis her refusal to fight me is what lead to your death" he screamed.

"Natsu" Lucy screamed.

"Get away from him" Erza tried to move, but she couldn't. She was low on magic power, and Hades seemed just as strong as Mavis, perhaps even more powerful.

"I'm not going," Natsu said, standing up again, "to let you get away with hurting her," he said. "I'm going."

"To die," Hades said, but before he could shoot, a large bolt of lightning struck him, making him jump back as a large explosion overtook the ship. Sparks flew everywhere as everyone covered their eyes. Natsu looked up in shock as someone stood before him; however, he recognized the scent.

"Laxus," Natsu muttered.

"So," Laxus muttered, "this is the fossil that took out Mavis, huh" he muttered, overlooking Hades as he looked back at him "interesting," a look of anger coming over his face, "you're dead," he screamed before landing a headbutt on Hades knocking him back.
