Chapter 369: Too Late for a Jail Break
The group headed down to level six and headed to the cell where Ace would have been.
Beating up all of the guards on their down.
And there were a lot of guards that they beat up.
"Ace where are you!" yelled Luffy once they got down to the level.
They arrived at a cell.
However it was tempt with just some blood on the wall.
"Oh no…" said Naruto.
"We were a few seconds too late…" said Inazuma.
That was when Jimbei noticed them and recognized Luffy's hat and realized who he and Naruto were.
"Are you Straw Hat Luffy and Shadow Fox Naruto! They took him the elevator! If you jury you can catch them"! said Jimbei.
They looked towards the elevator.
"Thanks whoever you are!" yelled Luffy.
"Yeah!" agreed Naruto.
They got to the elevator shaft.
Ivankov was trying to move it, but it was locked.
"I think we can climb up there." Said Luffy looking into the empty shaft.
Naruto turned to his full demon form in order to help Luffy climb up but then they both saw a giant spiked thing descended from the shaft.
Both got out of the shaft as it fell.
They noticed some surveillance snails nearby.
"I should have known it wouldn't be that easy." Muttered Ivankov..
"We have to go upstairs." Said Naruto.
They ran towards the stairs only for a bunch of bars to cover the stairway trapping them.
"Okay… they have a plan…" said Kyubi.
"They trying to trap us here down here…" said Ivankov.
"Tell that queen I just said that…" muttered Kyubi earning an eye roll from Naruto.
That was when gas started pouring in from the upper levels.
"Is it poisonous?" asked Inazuma.
"I don't think so." Said Naruto.
"Hey Whatever you're doing step it!" yelled one of the prisoners.
"Oh shut up you level 6 baddies!" yelled Ivankov,
"I don't care if it is!" yelled Luffy heading into it.
He got a whiff of the gas and promptly fell asleep.
"So it's sleeping gas…" Inazuma.
"You doit" yelled Ivankov at Luffy stupidity.
"Great…" said Naruto.
"They're trying to put to sleep along with the prisoners on this floor." Said Inazuma.
"You don't have to say it outload!" yelled Naruto.
Thankfully Inazuma had a plan to handle the gas.
His devil fruit power allowed him to turn his hands into scissors.
"I wonder if a guy named Edward ever had that Devil Fruit." Said Kyubi.
"When will I get used to these weird jokes?" asked Minato.
"I have no idea…" thought Naruto.
"Maybe it's a good idea to wake up you brother once the gas is gone." Said Minato.
"Yeah…" thought Naruto.
He watched as Inazuma cut up the floor and used the cut up floor to stop the gas.
"Luffy! We have to rescue Ace so wake up!" said Naruto.
Luffy woke up after being reminded of it.
"Hey! Why did you cover up the stairs! Now we can't go upstairs." Said Luffy.
"We can't use the stairs with that gas." Said Inazuma, "Or do you think you can save him while unconscious."
"I can do it while unconscious." Said Luffy.
"My brother mastered eating while sleeping. I'm pretty sure he can do it." Said Naruto.
"Seriously?" asked Minato.
"even so, we're still trapped… so don't' be brash." Said Inazuma.
"Really the only thing we can do right now is deprive them of information." Said Ivankov who then sighed, "The sad truth is that we're too late. They probably have Ace Boy at the top level and is probably taking him to a ship as we speak."
Luffy looked at the Vivre Cars which indeed was pointing up.
"Our goal now is to escape the prisoners… because they are taking him to Marine Headquarters." Said Kharkov.
"SO you know what we have to do now." said Naruto.
"Right… we're going there." Said Luffy.
"Are you insane!" yelled Ivankov, "Don't you know what's going on there! It's going to be a war between Whitebeard and the World Government! You can't stand up the Admirals and the 7 War Lords at the same time! All of them can kill you with ease!"
"I don't care!" said Luffy.
"And I don't care either." Said Naruto.
"Both of us will regret it forever if we don't." said Luffy.
Ivankov looked at the two brothers and got a feeling from him.
"But first we have to get off this floor." Said Inazuma.
"IF you want to get out set me." Said a voice from one of the cells, "What do you say Straw Hat!"
Luffy and Naruto turned to face him.
"You!" yelled Luffy.
"Damn it! It figured you would be in here!" yelled Naruto.
"Crocodile!" yelled Luffy.
"SO there's going to be a war between the marines and Whitebeard. Now's my chance to kill that old man. I don't' want to miss it. If you let me our I can get us out of here. It's a good deal for me and for you." Said Crocodile.
""Forget it!" yelled Luffy, "You messed up Vivi's country."
"That's water under the bridge! I have no interest in Alabaster anymore." Said Crocodile.
"Free him! He could be a big help." Said Ivankov, "If you want to get to Marine Headquarters…"
"But he's!" yelled both Luffy and Naruto.
"Ivankov." Said Crocodile.
"Long time no see Croco-boy." Said Ivankov.
"You know him," asked Luffy.
"Of course, I've known him when he was starting out. I also know his weakness! So there's that too." Said Ivankov.
"Can you ask a question for me." Said Kyubi.
"What?" asked Naruto.
Kyubi asked the question and Naruto didn't know why but he wanted the question asked.
"If you're a good boy and help us out I'll keep quiet about it." Sid Ivankov.
"Is that it that he used to be a woman and you turned him into a guy?" asked Naruto.
"I'm not answering that." Said Ivankov.
"Dang it!" said Kyubi, "And hopefully that connected fan theory isn't true."
Kyubi then shuddered.
"You better ignore that if it's true in canon…" said Kyubi.
Don't worry it will be fine…
Other prisoners wanted out too… on the grounds of hating Whitebeard.
But Ivankov shut them up by attacking them with a wink.
However Jimbei also called out wanting to be let out… however his reason was different.
"For mercy's sake! Please take me with you!" yelled Jimbei.
They turned to him.
"I've known Ace for a long time and since then I've heard stories about his brothers. I was thrown in here because of the fact that I opposed the war. I want to save Ace too! Please!" yelled Jimbei.
Luffy and Naruto both looked at the fishman and got a feeling from him.
Mostly Naruto and that was because of Kyubi.
"Heh… I think you should trust him… because I got a really good feeling about him. "said Kyubi.
"All right." Said Luffy.
"What Do you even know who he is. He's dangerous" Said Inazuma.
"It's all right." Said Luffy.
The other prisoners began to beg to be let out but of course they were ignored.
And also attacked by Ivankov.
Inazuma used his devil fruit to let them out.
"All right! Let's break out!" yelled Ivankov.
"All right! We have two War Lords with us now…" said Inazuma, "Well if you count Crocodile."
"Two who's the other one?" asked Luffy.
"Wait… he's a War Lord?" asked Naruto figuring it out before Luffy did.
"What?" asked Luffy.
Inazuma nodded.
However that didn't matter, because even if Ace was taken out they had a new goal, one to break out and get to the Marine HQ.
And hopefully with Crocodile and Jimbei they would be able to do it…
