Hey, fairy tail fans, and welcome back to the next chapter of a fairy tail re-told; the battle final battle between fairy tail and Hades continues as Mira struggles to protect the injured from the recovered members of Grimoire Heart. the war nears its close as fairy tail is giving everything they have to beat these powerful foes

Natsu: alright, let's go time to get some payback for Mavis
Dornbolt and Lahar rushed around the ship "there's no way; we can get this thing running before Acnologia gets here," Lahar shouted "we need to move faster" he looked at Dornbolt, who was staring at the remains of the Tenrou tree he seemed to be lost in thought as he walked up to him placing a hand on the man shoulder, he turned to him "is everything okay" he asked.
"No," Dornbolt said, "I thought I could convince them to come with me," he said, "but even if I told them a terror beyond what they could imagine is coming they"
"Would stay and fight." Lahar finished, "it's almost admirable" he mentioned
"Almost," Dornbolt said, "you should see the way they interact; when I first went to Magnolia, I was expecting to find nothing but dark wizards or anything else you find when you go to towns that were once under dark guild control" he smiled "but the people there were happy not a care in the world."
"That is an interesting point," Lahar said, looking at the Island "if anything, I wish we could have figured out why this Island is so special."
"Me too," Dornbolt said, "me too."
The Nature of Magic
"{Slice}" Yomazu shouted. Levy jumped out of the way "what's the matter," he called, "what happened to make us regret challenging you" he screamed. He made more solid script magic "not as strong now without your dragon slayer buddy watching you're back."
"He took you down, didn't you" Levy screamed back "{Solid script: shield}" Lecy blocked his attacks before quickly using her magic again "{solid script: sword}" a large blade struck past Yomazu, who looked at her, impressed.
"I'm sending you back to the farm," Cana shouted, "{summon: fire}."
"{Egg wall}" Kawaza called as he launched some eggs, creating a large wall that was roasted by Cana's attack making her back up.
"Man, that is so gross," Cana said. "I might hurl"
"what's the matter" Kawaza teased, "getting tired."
"Not on your life," Cana shouted as she shot some lighting at Kawaza, making him jump up and start flying "oh come on," Cana said, "get down here and face me, you coward."
"{Egg rain}" Kawaza shouted as he made it rain egg Cana screamed as she jumped out the way.
"This is totally gross," Cana screamed. "Levy," she cried, "how did you and Gajeel beat these clowns," she asked.
"You gotta find a way to block his mouth," Lecy shouted as Yomazu created another slice. "If you time it right, you can turn his attacks against him," she said
"But first, you have to get past me," Yomazu shouted, "you should realize how outclassed you are."
"Damn it," Levy said, raising her fingers, "I gotta find a way around his defensives.

On the Grimoire heart airship, Natsu turned to face Hades, his body surrounded by Fire and Lighting as Laxus had since passed out after giving Natsu all his magic power. Everyone behind him looked in horror and disbelief. "I don't think eating lighting was a good idea."
"I've never seen anything like this before," Gray said
"Is it like that time he ate etherion," Erza said
"No," Wendy said, "when a dragon slayer eats etherion, it allows us to go into dragon force" Wendy looked at them, "which is described as the final form of dragon slayers, but this" Wendy looked at Natsu "this is something different., a dragon slayer can consume another element and merge it with their current Element similar to a unison raid." Wendy swallowed a lump in her throat "other than that. I don't know anything else."
"So, he's a lighting flame dragon slayer now," Gray asked. Wendy nodded; Natsu then let out an enormous roar as he rushed Hades before the man could even react; Natsu had already punched him into a wall before kicking him down. Hades attempted to move again, but Natsu was much faster, hitting him again, creating a large shockwave before lighting struck him "now he can use Laxus magic power and attacks."
"you will fall" Hades screamed as Natsu ran around him, kicking him in the head before grabbing him and slamming him into the ground "what is this" Hades said "he's faster than he was last time" Natsu let out another roar as she started punching Hades over and over again landing a kick in his stomach forcing him to slide back. {Amatarsu: Dragonic formula}," he screamed as he sent out the same attack at Natsu
"Not this time," Natsu screamed as he slammed into the attack, completely overtaking it as he rushed through the smoke, hitting him and sending him into a wall.
"holy crap," Lucy said, "dragon slayers."
"you can say that again," Gray said "glad he's on our side."
"This is what happens to anyone that messes with my family," Natsu shouted as he continued to punch Hades around; he remembered the feeling when Mavis had fallen on the battlefield. He thought of how hard his friends must have fought to stay alive after Grimoire heart invaded. "I'll make you pay," Natsu screamed as he slammed Hades into the ground with an enormous fireball. "anyone who harms them," he created another giant fireball slamming him into the ground, " will answer to me," he shouted.
Hades rose from the smoke before gripping Natsu's hands with his chain "try hitting me now with your hands tied" Natsu said nothing as he pulled his hands apart, shattering the chain, shocking Hades "what" he said, stepping back before Natsu started to take a deep breath "what is he charging an attack.

"{Lighting flame dragon: roar}" Natsu let out a significant breath attack that knocked Wendy, Gray, and Lucy backward as it busted out the side of a ship traveling across the ocean. The sky turned bright orange as everyone on the Island looked in shock. As everyone could hear a roar across the Island.
"what's that," Levy asked, stopping her fight as Yomazu looked around, seeing the sky turn orange at the sight of lighting in the air, "a monster."
Mira looked from her battle with Kain "that's my baby brother," Mira said, "show him who's boss."
Meredy opened a single eye looking up "show off," she muttered before passing out again.
Ultear stopped walking, looking up. "Salamander."
Dornbolt and Lahar looked in horror at the sky, fearing what this meant "what is that" Dornbolt asked
a smile worked its way to Gildarts face as he recovered from his fight with Bluenote 'atta boy Natsu' he thought to himself as the attack started to wear off
Natsu let a breath of air come around him. He stood back Hades on the ground, completely wiped out from the recent attack, as Natsu took a step back. "I warned you," he said, "and don't you forget it," he said as he fell backward into the giant pit; Lucy rushed to grab him by the arm as Natsu looked up "that was a close call," Natsu muttered, "you wouldn't happen to have any food in that outfit of your's would ya."
"If I used that much magic power in one go," Erza said. "I'd be toppling over to"
"Another one bites the dust," Gray said
"We won," Wendy said happily
Happy, Carla and Lily crawled through the ship's air duck where they were going. Was anyone guessing at this point "maybe it's just tiny, and we missed it," Happy suggested
"Given the size of the ship," Carla said, "I don't think that's impossible."
"You mind telling me why we were crawling through an air vent."
"Ask our fearless leader," Carla told him
"Just a feeling, I guess."
"you're going to feel my fist against your head," Lily shouted
"You can't hear the thunder in here," Happy told him
"Never mind, this is a great idea, Happy," Lily said as Carla smirked at him "what you know, it'll allow us to search quicker."
"Sure," Carla said before she bumped into Happy "umm, Happy," she said, "are you okay."
"Umm," the blue cat muttered, "do either of you know what this thing is," he said as Carl and Lily squeezed on the side of him to get a better look, their eyes growing in shock "it's alive," Happy muttered.
"This is bad."
Back in the main room, Hade's eye opened as he let out a laugh scaring everyone making them jump "you may have knocked me down, but I'm not out," Hades said as he started to sit up " well done, Mavis, you have raised some remarkable children despite your flawed philosophy" he chuckled as he stood up "I can't remember the last time someone left me battered and bruised after a good brawl" he stood up his wounds disappearing as he cloaks returned as he walked up to Natsu and the others "I'll be obliterating you now."
"that's not possible," Wendy muttered
"How is he still standing," Gray said in fear
"What kind of monster could walk away from such a powerful attack," Erza asked.
"I appreciate the entertainment, but now I must get back to work" Hades then took off his eye patch "{Devils eye: open}" Hades muttered as his eye opened, turning red a shadow started to glow from him as his hair began to stand up "you will now witness magic power of the likes you have never seen."
"Do you guys feel that?" Gray asked
"I've never sensed this much power in one place before," Erza said
"And it's getting bigger by the second," Lucy added
"This is bad," Natsu said
"I am the darkness," Hades said, "to Mavis' light."
"This has to be it," Happy said
"What is it," Carla asked, "it doesn't look like a power source."
"Maybe it's the ship's heart," Lily said, "the Grimoire heart."
"I heard voices," a voice called
"how's that possible."
Happy let out a scream "oh no, they found us," Carla said
"you two find a way to stop this thing," Lily said. "I'll buy you some time," Lily used outside, holding the door handle in his hands as a group of guards came at him "what," one of them asked, "how the hell did a cat get in there."
"Who cares? Just step on it."
"Step on this," Lily shouted as he threw the door handle knocking a few down as he caught it. He used to block a sword strike before changing to his battle mode knocking the guards down and forcing them to back up. Another guard rushed towards Lily as he gripped the sword he was holding. A smile came over his face as he tore it away from him "how generous," Lily said
"But that's my sword."
Lily then used the sword to knock down another group. As he walked forward, the blade glowed, changing shape to match his size. Lily smiled, "and here I thought I'd never find a size-changing sword in this world" a smirk grew on Lily's face as he turned to the rest of the men, "I think I'll keep it."
"Come on, man," the guard said, "I had to pay four-month on that magica sword."
"How do we break it," Happy asked.
"Fiddle with things at random," Carla told him. The door busted in. Carla ducked. "Happy," she screamed.
"Why does everything we do involve hurting" he screamed
Mira ducked under another attack from Kain as he continued to attack her. He again gripped her leg before tossing her away as she activated her wings, flying up "{evil: explosion}" Mira called as she blasted Kain back a few feet "damn, nothing I do to this guy is working"
"you're right," Kain said, "tremble in fear."
"Ahh," Cana screamed as she dodged another egg rain from Kawazu, "I gotta hit him at the right time," Cana shouted, "take this" she there more cards at him which was blocked by Yomazu, who smiled.
"We are a sword and shield. You can't stop us," Yomazu bragged, "and as long as Kain has your friend distracted, we will emerge the victor."
"You seem a little overconfident," Levy shouted "you haven't won yet," she screamed. "Cana now," she cried, "{solid script: oil}" Levy drew the word soil in the air as it merged with the snow turning it into an odd color as it surrounded Yomazu and Kawaza as both looked around in shock "you're not the only ones who can work together," Lecy said
"Now{summon: fire}" Cana screamed as her flames ignited the oil, creating a significant fire melting most of the snow.
"What is this" Yomazu "I can erase it with words," he shouted
"Not so fast," Levy said "{solid script: bomb}" Lecy screamed as a small explosion went off, sending Yomazu and Kawaza into the air
"And now the grand finale," Cana said, "reversed tower, lighting, lovers {thunderbolts fate}" Cana screamed as multiple green lighting struck the pair sending them into the sky, "I think we got em"
"Yeah," Levy said, taking a breath of fresh air, "nice combo," she said as she gave Cana a high five "come on, let's go help Mira" the pair ran to where Mira and Kain were still fighting
"Mira," Cana shouted as she landed in front of them, "you look like you could use a hand."
"he's tougher than he looks," Mira admitted
"So, the three of you want to go out with me," Kain said happily, confusing the three girls "this is much better than my high school years," he stopped as he eyed them down, making them shutter, "now look, I can only go steady with one of you, so please don't take it personally."
"You can have this one, Cana," Levy said quickly.
"what" Cana screamed "how could you, Levy" Levy just shrugged as Cana just glared at her
"Hey," Kain shouted, "no need to fight," he said as he got ready to attack "don't worry, I'll spend time with all of you."
"Mira, I'm scared," Levy said
"You better be," Cana said, "when we get out of this, I'm so getting you for that" Levy stuck out her tongue as Mira sighed before she charged Kain again; her attack when right through him "be careful, Mira" Cana screamed.
"{solid script: water}" Levy shouted.
"Wait when cotton absorbs water," Kain shouted "oh no," he screamed as he fell.
"Now I got you," Mira screamed as she punched Kain hard in the stomach, making him slide back "damn it," Mira called, "it's like punching Marshmallow."
"As often as you hit him," Cana started, "I think a marshmallow would have given out by now."
as Kain stood up again, he smiled. "I am an unstoppable force of nature," Kain said "you cannot stop me," he screamed as he started laughing before a small bright orb hit him in the stomach. His eyes comically bulged out of his head, sending him into the trees, effectively knocking him out.
"Touch my daughter again," a voice called, "and the next one will be fatal." Mira, recognizing the voice, looked back.
"master"
"The abyss of sorcery," Gray muttered. Everyone else around him was paralyzed by fear as Hades stepped forward.
"to walk the path of sorcery, you must be willing to walk the path of darkness," Hades started. "I have walked that path, and I have found primordial magic that shines like the heavens," Hades looked at his hands, magic power surrounding them as he looked back at the group "it's so close it's palpable, but so far it's out of reach and in those depts lies the grand magic world, and Zeref is the key to that world."
"We can't let that happen," Erza said
"But you will be ostracized. Only the strong are allowed to enter the grand magic world" Hades started to move, his power beginning to increase, "and you lack the resolve to walk that path," he started as the area around them began to go dark, a black mist surrounding them "{chapter 4:verse 12: arcane magic: nemesis}" monsters started to take shape from the rubble that surrounded him.
"What," Gray asked
"With the power of the abyss, I can create nightmares from the smallest speck of dust," Hades walked forward, "and each one is as strong as me, and at my command" Hades laughed "
Erza felt her body trembling as she gripped her arm "these things are pure magic power," Erza said, "why won't I stop shaking" Erza said, "why" "you need to move, Erza."
"Please," Wendy cried, "make them go away."
"Why do I feel so afraid," Gray said, he could barely move "come on, snap out of it."
"Were done for," Lucy said. She then felt Natsu's hand grip her arm as he looked at her, a smile coming across his face as he tried to stand up. "Natsu," she whispered.

"it's okay," Natsu said "we have everything we need to win right here," he said, remembering his time with Gildarts. He started to stand up his entire body was shaking. Still, he kept moving forward." there's nothing wrong with fear," Natsu said, getting all their attention "how else are you going to know your own weakness. You need to know them to become a stronger and gentler person," he said, "today we learned just how weak we are, so what do we do" Natsu shouted, "we get stronger we keep pushing forward. We hold on to this fear."
"So, it can remind us how we've grown," Erza finished, "as long we can remember."
"Why we're fighting," Natsu said smiling. "I know I can keep going cause when I fall, you'll be there to catch me," Natsu shouted.
"Still holding onto the light," Hades asked before scoffing, "you fools, the only way to grow strong lies in the dark," he said, "your faith in the light is what leads you to your doom."
Gray had also stood up along with Wendy and Lucy, all of them looking at Hade's fear was all over their faces as this man looked at them, his monster getting ready to charge them all "we have to keep moving," Gray said
"Even if we have no magic power left," Wendy finished
"We won't go down without a fight," Lucy screamed as they all rushed towards Hades Natsu, stumbling behind as he laughed at them
"Then you will die braver than most," he screamed as they rushed him. His devils all created large beams that they managed to avoid Natsu tripped being caught by Lucy and Wendy, who gave him a wink as they tossed him forward. before falling due to fatigue, Erza, and Gray, seeing him, used their feet to kick Natsu forward as he lunged at Hades. "I'm going to send you to the depths of darkness," Hades screamed as Natsu got ready to punch him "it's time for your sun to set, fairy tail." a large explosion overtook the ship as Natsu managed to mad one good hit on Hades making him stumble back.
Lucy looked up, noting that they were still alive. She saw Natsu's scarf flying in the winds. She ran and quickly grabbed it, nearly falling over "ahh, help, I'm going to fall."
"I got ya, Lucy," Wendy screamed as she pulled her back, making her do the splits. They were interrupted when Natsu was blown back towards them, landing on the ground. He looked as Hades stood up smiling.
"All you did was prolong your demise," Hades screamed before he could hear the rumbling sounds as Natsu tried to stand up again "this is where your adventure ends."
Natsu stepped forward only to back up in shock "wow," Wendy muttered as she looked alongside Natsu.
"what's going? "Lucy also stopped when she saw what they were staring at "the Tenrou tree," she muttered.
"it's back to normal," they all said
"how," Hades shouted, "I told Azuma to knock it down."

all over the Island, people looked in shock as the Tenrou tree had slowly returned to its natural state. At its base, Ultear stood in three large magic circles surrounding her as she used the last of her magic to restore the Tenrou tree. "I hope I'm not too late" she found it hard to stand right now. Her battle with Gray had taken its toll on her. Still, she would continue, "thanks to you, I have a new lease on life," Ultear muttered as she continued to help the tree grow "consider this my way of saying thank you."
at the camp, Mavis trudged forward, walking through the melting snow and cold water as Mira rushed to her side "master," Mira called, "you need to rest"
"Are you okay?" Mavis asked. Mira nodded. Mavis stood up, eyeing the Tenrou tree "good," she said, "watch the injured and rest" she then raised her arms. "I will take it from here," she said. "O heavenly light guided by fairies," Mavis called as her body started to glow "please lend me your strength guide me so I may cleanse the darkness with your sacred light," Mavis screamed. "Tenrou," she called, and the ground started to shake.
"Spirit flies," Levy asked
"No," Mira said "this is magic," Mira said
"Tenrou," Mavis screamed again as the Tenrou tree started to glow. The snow under their feet began to turn gold before evaporating under them. All around the Island, people looked as the Island began to glow, becoming a bright light shining in the dark of the night sky.
"What is this" Dornbolt asked
"I don't know," Lahar answered
soon magic particles floated around in the center of the Island; Zera smiled "about time, Mavis," she said as she too started to activate the true power of the Island

On the airship, everyone looked in shock as the Tenrou tree glowed. Hades let out a growl "no," Hades shouted, "I need to kill you fast," he called as he shot another attack, only for it to bounce off as a bright light shined in front of them, shining away from the shadow that hung in the air left as small magic particles started to shine in the area.
"What happened" Happy screamed as he and Lily and Carla appeared next to Natsu and Wendy "what's going on" he shouted"
"Wendy, are you okay" Carla screamed.
"I'm fine," Wendy told her as another bright light shined in front of them. What appeared to be a cocoon appeared in front of them, standing between them and master Hades "what is that" Natsu said nothing. He seemed to recognize the person, but they didn't. It felt like Hades to her, growing without any end in sight though it made her feel warm, safe, like nothing could harm her.
The Cocoon started to open as Mavis walked forward. The light around her forming around her typically pale blond hair seemed to be bright gold light radiating from it as what appeared to be wings made of light appeared on her back, seeming to absorb the magic around the area, sharp marking that glowed on the edge of her eyes as her body glowed so much that the darkness that Hades had made seemed to disappear as Mavis walked forward.
"Mavis," Lucy said
"She seems different," Gray said
"Radiant," Erza said to Carla, realizing she had seen this in her vision "what is this" Erza asked.
"The true power of Tenrou Island," Natsu said, sitting down as everyone looked at him "she's tapped into its power, and now," Natsu said, "she's unleashed her true power."
"Natsu," Mavis said, her eyes never leaving Hades, "you did well," she said. "I hope you know how proud of you I am," Mavis started smiling "how proud I am of all of you " she turned back, finally looking at him "you did well; truly, you have grown so much; you did me proud" she smiled as Natsu nodded "you all have fought hard I can take from here."
"But master," Natsu stopped when she shook her head.
"Please, my son," Mavis started shooting a death glare at Hades
"Let the fairy and devil talk."
