Chapter 372: Blackbeard's Goal

Luffy and Naruto both glared at the man in front in him. After all it was the man who was the reason why Ace was captured…

And of course Blackbeard began to explain some things.

"After first meeting you I found you were the one who defeated Crocodile, the former Warlord of the Sea, Straw Hat Luffy! I wanted to become n the 7 Warlords. So I figured the best way to show the toe government I was the man for the job was to being them your head. But fate protected you!"

"What…" muttered Luffy.

"Ace had been chasing me because I committed a terrible crime on the ship. And by curious coincidence he was your brother! Because I said I was going to kill you he was unable to turn back!" mocked Blackbeard,. "Because if he did! He would have not only would he have defiled the name of Whitebeard but you would have died."

As it turned out Blackbeard's crew was also with him and even pointed out how it as fate.

Naruto was angry… but Luffy was far angrier.

"Don't let your brother fight him!" said Kyubi, "Remember how dangerous he is!"

Naruto gritted his teeth in anger.

However Blackbeard kept mocking him.

"You better thank Ace's grave that he saved your life." Mocked Blackbeard.

And that was the lien for Luffy. He immediately activated Second Gear!

"Then why don't you try me now!" yelled Luffy as her delivered an extremely harsh punch at him.

Blackbeard was sent flying thanks to the speed and strength of the punch.

"I won't' let them kill Ace!" yelled Luffy, "Gum Gum Jet…"

However Blackbeard had a trick up his sleeve.

"Black Vortex!" he called out.

He had created some sort of black force that pulled Luffy to him.

Everyone watched in shock.

"So that's what it is…" muttered Kyubi, "Should have known…"

"What?" thought Naruto.

"He has one of the most powerful Devil Fruits…" said Kyubi, "No under why we can sense the danger."

That was when Blackbeard slammed Luffy so hard into the ground that he started bleeding.

"Blood?" asked Crocodile, "Isn't he made of rubber?"

"How powerful is he?" asked Naruto.

"Never touch him…" said Kyubi.

Naruto began to sweat when he said that.

However Luffy was still angry so he got up to keep fighting.

But Jimbei jumped in front of him and stopped.

"Stop Luffy that's enough!" yelled Jimbei.

"Luffy please! Don't do this!" said Naruto, "He's really dangerous Kyubi is scared of him!"

Luffy however was still angry.

"I can't lose you too!" yelled Naruto.

"He right!" said Jimbei, "Not only that but that man is a mystery to me since the first time I saw him on Whitebeard's ship. I don't know where but he got the power to defeat Ace."

"He didn't always have this power?" asked Naruto.

"He has a Devil Fruit…" reminded Kyubi.

"Don't waste your time and energy fighting him. Don't let your emotions get the better of you." Said Jimbei.

Luffy was breathing heavily.

"You're stronger than you were before and so is your Haki." Said Blackbeard.

"You're Blackbeard right? I heard a no name pirate from Whitebeard's ship took my place. But this is strange. You should have been called to defend Marineford. Have you forfeited your title as War Lord?" asked Crocodile.

"Everything is going according to my plan. There have been some bumps along the road though." Said Blackbeard, "Should I tell you about my plan?"

"O really don't care." Said Crocodile.

"I see you don't mince words." Said Blackbeard.

"Magellan is coming!" yelled one of the New Kamas.

There were more freak outs this news.

"Straw Hat boy!" yelled Ivankov, "You have to run if he gets you again there will be nothing saving you from his poison."

"Come on the path is clear!" said Naruto, "We can go upstairs!"

Naruto looked at Blackbeard, even if the news that he was going to kill Luffy bothered him even with Kyubi's unease he wouldn't be fighting him.

However that was when the Minotaur once again showed up looking for a fight.

"I thought we beat him!" yelled Bon Clay.

"It's their Devil Fruit powers. Their Awakened Zoan Types. Their greatest strengths are their toughness and healing." Explained Crocodile

"What sorely!" yelled Bon Clay.

"If you don't' hurry the others will get up too." Said Crocodile, "But the one we really have to worry about is the Warden."

Even with the Mayhem going on through the prison, Magellan was still headed for them.

Luffy glared at Blackbeard.

"We will save Ace no matter what!" said Luffy.

"I won't say you're wasting your time. Nothing's impossible in this world." Said Blackbeard.

Both Luffy and Naruto began to walk away from him.

"Sky Island is real isn't it?" asked Blackbeard.

Luffy froze when he said that.

"It's the same with One Piece"! Blackbeard said with a laugh.

Luffy glared at the man but with Naruto he walked away from him.

However Blackbeard just laughed.

"In a few short hours! We're going to put on a shadow that will shake the world!" yelled Blackbeard.

"They have an overly complicated plan…" said Kyubi, "Not a bad one… because it's clear it's working… but they have something planned."

"How do you know it's overly complicated?" thought Naruto deciding to get his mind off it.

"Considering the plan involved… doing that to Luffy in order to become a War Lord… yeah…" thought Kyubi.

Naruto sighed and rolled his eyes.

They kept going to leave Blackbeard to the warden.

They kept going up the stairs even as the Warden attacked Blackbeard and his crew.

As they ran up however it became clear that Magellan was able to handle Blackbeard.

"Straw Hat!" they heard Magellan yell.

"It's the poison guy!" said Luffy.

"Don't fight him!" yelled Naruto.

"Don't worry" said Luffy.

Naruto nodded.

Though Magellan still gave his threat.

"You will not step foot outside this prison! I will make sure of it!" yelled Magellan.

They however kept going up.

Even so things were getting more complicated, with the knowledge of who captured Ace, even with them wanting to beat him up they still had to keep going. After all revenge was pointless when they needed to save him.

Though things were still compacted in the prison… as there was the riot on Level 2 and below them that former guard turned the prison… which is hindsight kind of made sense since they did lock them up.

But still… it was still complicated in that prison and hopefully they could still make it out.

Next time: The run to freedom continues as Ivankov fights against Magellan. Not only that but Luffy and Naruto reunite with Buggy and Mr. 3. What will happen? Find out next time!
