Hey fairy tail fans, and welcome to the next exciting saga of a fairy tail re-told that I am referring to as X791 saga. Here we are starting the next arc, dubbing Fairy tail: keys of the starry sky. This arc will be different from the previous one cause, as you might have noticed, I haven't done the X791 arc, which details the return of the main members of the fairy tail guild; however, I wanted to have some fun with this story, so tell me what you think as we get started.
the poll is also officially up so live your vote on the best arc from the previous saga, and I'll try to mimic the style of the arc for the later arcs that I do, everything is up to date on my end so now all I have to do is release these chapters, so enjoy.
Now the journey continues
a young boy is seen standing on the hargeon part. He had dark purple hair. That has an overall spiked look. He wore a long, dark, sleeveless open jacket with lighter-colored edges, revealing part of his muscular chest and held closed around his waist by a light sash, tied by a knot on his left hip. His legs are covered by loose, light-colored pants reaching down below his knees, paired with low, dark laced boots. Around his neck is a light scarf adorned by a wavy motif. He let out a sigh as a young woman walked up to him "come on, Romeo," she said, "let's go."
She was a tall young woman with long blue hair. She was wearing a long-sleeved top with two buttons in the center. The top is adorned with a small pattern around the shoulders and a small trim around the upturned cuffs. She wears a frilled skirt with a small decoration running around right above the end. She also wears thigh-high socks. He smiles at her before she walks to his side, looking into the distance "hard to believe it's been six years" she pulled out a journal looking over it, the title reading November 12th X790 entry day stopped counting,
Wendy Marvell, the last fairy more words seemed to be scribbled in the journal, but it appeared that she had scribbled them out
"Come on, Wendy," Romeo said, "let's go" before he turned around. coming face to face with Alzack and Bisca, who they had run into while they were on the job, they smiled at the pair as they walked past
End of the beginning
'in two months' time it will have been seven years,' Wendy thought to herself. She remembered it like it was yesterday, the war with Grimoire Heart. Acnologia, shaking the memories from her head. she looked up to see Alzack and Bisca looking at her with concerned looks. "I'm fine," she muttered, walking past them. She was always like this around this time of year, especially when the anniversary came up. It would be a new year, and it would officially be Seven years since that fateful day.
"You sure" another voice called. She turned to see her fellow survivor Lily standing next to her "you've been staring at the ocean a lot lately," he said
"Just a lot on my mind," she muttered. She smiled as she looked over Alzack and Bisca.
"Well, if you're sure," Alzack hadn't changed too much over the years; however, there were subtle changes: he had shorter, spikier hair; as for accessories, he had a pair of earrings composed of small tassels hanging from both of his ears. His former poncho was replaced by a new, lighter-colored one, adorned by large dark stripes near its collar and lower edges and sporting much fewer strips hanging from it than his old one. He added a dark vest over his shirt and switched the belt holding up his old pants to a new one, whose buckle is adorned by an incision reminiscent of a small, stylized sun. "I hear you been busy, though," he told her.
"Busy," Bisca said in shock. Over the past few years, she has gained sharper facial features and has developed a curvier physique. The lower section of her hair is now tied into a thick braid. Her outfit was a little skimpy, consisting of a revealing bikini top covered in dark stripes below an open, dark buttoned vest. A similarly colored skirt adorned by a series of light strips hanging down from it in the middle covers her lower body, while a pair of high-heeled cowgirl boots decorated by matching stripes are on her feet. Also present are a set of armbands now circling Bisca's biceps, paired by darker, simple long bands around her wrists. She also switched to a dark cowgirl hat with a curved-up brim, adorned by a lighter-colored band covered in large studs. "I swear Wendy's bounty goes up by at least a thousand a day."
'After the fall of Magnolia,' Wendy thought to herself, "the magic council began to crack down on solo wizarding. Nowadays, wizards of a specific power have bounties on their heads. If anyone under the top guilds can catch them and convince them to join, they'll be given a reward. Shaking her head, she turned to her friends. "Just doing my best to help those in need," Wendy told them. She looked at Romeo "this guy was great too," she said, ruffling his head.
"Thanks, Wendy," Romeo said, blushing "just trying my best, ya know," he said as he played with his scarf. Wendy looked away a part of her always wondered if he started wearing that outfit out of grief for Natsu's death, shaking the thoughts from her head, she smiled as she continued forward.
"Well, you did, good kid," Wendy forced out "you're going to go far in this world."
"Yeah," Alzack said, "one day, you'll be able to stand in the big leagues with us."
"Who knows, Al," Bisca said, "you might be in there one day to" she teased as he looked away.
"Yeah yeah, laugh it up," Alzack said as he saw a newspaper fly by "huh," he said, "another church got burned down," he muttered.
"I heard about that," Wendy said "you know what's going," she asked
"Nah, but everyone favorite magic enforcement unit is on the case," Bisca told her
"Lahar," Wendy muttered, "then I might want to stay away from that," she said, "the last thing I need is the magic council enforcement unit breathing down my neck again."
"Again," Romeo asked
"Girl can you stay out of trouble," Bisca asked
"We didn't look for the trouble," Lily said, "it just finds us." he smiled as Wendy let out a chuckle.
"Yeah," she muttered before looking at Romeo. "You are coming with us to the pub."
"Yeah," Alzack said, "Laki said she'd watch Asuka for us and that'd she be at that one" he smiled "we didn't expect to see you there, though," he said
"Yeah," Wendy told him, "I frequent the place, their good place to get jobs these days."
"better off than searching," Bisca said. "I swear this was a recent break for us" a slum look came over her face "honestly, I don't think we can keep this up." she sighed, "ever since," Bisca stopped. She hated thinking about it "solo wizarding getting harder."
"All we can do is keep moving forward," Wendy said, not stopping as she marched forward "come on," Wendy said, "this is no way to have a conversation," she smiled, "we should be catching up."
At the edge of shirotsume Town lies a small tavern that acts as a small pub where travels can make a stop to have a break and grab some food. Two men had approached one who looked older than he was; he now sports much sharper facial features, including excess wrinkles, a receding hairline, and an excessively prominent mustache. It was Macao. He still dons a long, light-colored jacket with darker edges, sporting a large and high collar and dark cuffs reaching down to his wrists, which is now paired by a light vest under it, held closed by three round buttons, worn over a simple dark shirt. The pants are dark and plain. However, his shoes remain intricately designed, with this pair, in particular, is designed with clashing light and dark designs. "This is the place, right."
"Yeah, it is," the other man said it was Wakakba like Macao. Over the years since tenrou Island, he had changed drastically, losing his signature pompadour to what appears to be a receding hairline, gaining a straighter-looking hairstyle, this being slicked upwards in a spiked shape and has grown a thick, pointed beard on his chin these days. He wore the less flamboyant outfit: a light-colored jacket with dark fur trimmings on its edges and dark cuffs over a simple shirt, with another black undershirt visible from its open collar. He has light pants matching his jacket, combined with simple dark shoes. "Come on. We should get inside and start waiting."
"Man," Macao said, "wish I could've gone with him."
"You need to rest, old man," Wakaba told as they went inside "besides, Wendy is a good kid and can show him the ropes pretty well."
"Welcome to the dragon pub," a young woman said. She had long violet hair and green eyes. she was wearing a lime green-colored blouse with a green neckline and trim, complemented by a long, white skirt. She is also seen wearing green boots. she gave the pair a warm smile "how my help you today" Wakaba had stars in his eyes as Macao had a look the girl over until a look of realization came over his face
"Kinana," Macao said
"Macao," Kinana said, "Wakaba," her face immediately lit up "oh my goodness, long time no see," she said, "how have you been"
"Oh, we've been great," Macao said. "I must say I barely recognized you," he laughed "you've grown a lot, little lady."
Kinana giggled "thank you," she said
"aren't you two a sight for sore eyes" a voice called. They looked to see Laki. She had grown a bit taller. She had long wavey hair with the bangs framing her face and going down to her shoulders being undulated, which she has tied in a long ponytail, reaching down to the middle of her back. With a triangular tuft covering her forehead, she was wearing a red mantle, held closed on the front by a ring, over a strapless, dark dress, with a revealing neckline and a series of light-colored squares adorning its lower part, which has a light belt circling it around her waist with three bullet-like objects attached to it on the left side, and dark boots.
"Laki," Macao said, "man, what a day for reunions" he looked to see a little girl standing behind her with fair skin and dark green hair where the lower section is tied in a braid. Her eyes are dark purple, and she notably has a constant blush. An orange cowgirl hat with a light-yellow band, a tan vest over a pink shirt, a brown skirt held by a belt, and brown boots with tassels. "don't tell me," Macao said, "is this little thing Asuka" Laki nodded before he could move again the door busted open
several men came through has everyone stopped moving.
One of them stepped forward, clearly the ringleader, a young man of average height with puffy dark hair. He has a prominent nose pointing downwards, his nostrils going upwards in a curved motif, and pointed mildly rectangular ears. He seems to be quite muscular, with his forearms being large. He wears a light shirt with short, mildly puffy sleeves, which has some dark padding over the shoulder's areas, seemingly held up by a pair of bands passing below each of his shoulders. It is outlined by lighter edges extending to the shirt's thin, rectangular, and elongated collar, which has a dark part. Around his waist is a light haramaki-like cloth covered in long dark spots, from which a buckled belt is seen emerging, passing over his right shoulder and seemingly holding up the large kanabō whose handle appears from behind his right shoulder. on his right forearm was the location of a guild mark
"Who is that," Kinana asked
"Twilight Oger," Macao said "they're the guys who took Magnolia," he whispered as the man came up to the counter.
"Hello sir," Kinana said, "how my help you today."
"I heard a rumor," he said, looking her up and down, "that this is a place where solo wizards are getting jobs" he smiled.
"Well Mr." Kinana stopped
"Thibault"
"Well, Mr. Thibault," Kinana said, trying to hide her snark, "I can't tell you if they are" she smiled at him. "I'm just the friendly bartender. I serve drinks and engage in small talk with the occasional customer. dealing out jobs is well above my paygrade."
"I see," he looked at what could be assumed was their cash register, a dark smile coming over his face before picking up "payment for continued Guild protection," he said, walking away "have a nice day, miss," he said as his goons started to follow behind him the door close as Kinana let out a sigh of relief.
"Man," Kinana said
"Let me guess," another voice called. She was a young adult with brown hair in a ponytail tied in a green hairband that hung down from her left shoulder. She wears a periwinkle dress with a white apron tied around the front, completing her outfit with an orange and yellow scarf covering her hair. "Those goons took our money," Kinana nodded as the women let out a sigh. "not again"
"Sorry," Kinana said
"it's fine, Kinana," she said, "as long as they don't figure out about, you're under table jobs."
"You got it, boss," Kinana said before turning to her friends "oh, this is the owner, Miko."
" A pleasure," she said, waving at them, "I need to get back to work," she said, "you try to stay out of trouble, hon." Kinana made a funny salute as she walked away. As the doors opened again, everyone turned to see Wendy, Romeo, Alzack, and Bisca standing in the doorway as Asuka ran up to them.
"Mommy," she screamed, "Daddy."
"What," Wendy said, "since when did you two have a kid" before stopping, she had known they had gotten married. She had attended the wedding, but the kid was new. then she just heard the fact that Laki was babysitting. Man she needs to start paying more attention
"Yeah," Alzack said, "this is my baby girl." he smiled "glad that you finally got to meet her."
"Hey, dad," Romeo said, walking to his father, "the job was awesome."
"Was it now," Macao asked "well, I'm glad you had your fun, kiddo," he said as he looked at Wendy "thank you for the help, Wendy."
"No problem," Wendy said as she sat down at the bar, "anything for a couple of old friends," Wendy told him as Panther Lily hopped to the top of the counter. "Romeo held his own pretty well."
"Yes," Lily said, "he's going to make a pretty fine wizard when he grows up" he smiled.
"Yeah," Wendy said, "as long as he learns to keep his head down and be patient," Wendy started.
"I know," Romeo said, "but I want to get strong enough to win back Magnolia" as the words left his mouth, the entire place went silent. There weren't that many people, but all knew how many solo wizards felt about Magnolia after the children never came home, nor did Mavis. It wasn't long before a guild had busted in and tried to take over, and with how they felt, it wasn't long before the town was under a guild's thumb.
"Romeo," Wendy said suddenly, "you got big dreams, don't ya, kid" she smiled, looking past Kinana, seeing the photo she had of her and Mira, the crack still present when the girl never really talked about why she never replaced the frame.
"Keep going," Wendy said, "and who knows" she smiled, "we might just be able to take back our home." hearing both Kinana and Lily smiled as everyone slowly started to get back into conversations, Kinana turned to Wendy "what," she asked.
"Nothing," she said, "just seeing Romeo reminds me a lot of" she stopped looking away "just he reminds me a lot of how Mira would describe Natsu when he was younger," she said as Wendy looked away letting out a small chuckle
"yeah" Wendy muttered "there are times when" Wendy stopped "he would have denied that," Wendy said quickly hoping to drop the subject entirely "he would have said that he wasn't as Juvenile as Mira and Mavis would say he is" Kinana couldn't;t help but notice the solum look in her eyes
"Wendy," Kinana said, "we can't change what happened. What's done is done."
"Yeah, I guess," Wendy said "any jobs," she asks.
"naw," Kinana, "besides guilds are in the area," she said, "gotta lay low for a while."
"Damn it," Wendy muttered.
"Gives us a chance to relax," Lily said. "I don't mind."
"I guess," Wendy muttered as she slumped on the counter, "maybe I could get some training in," she muttered, looking out the Window "not much has gone on in the past seven years since Tenrou Island," she muttered. "But I have this feeling that the door is about to open" miles away, a man and a young woman is seen sitting in a train with a large suitcase next to them, the sound of the train moving being the only sound ringing through the air "do you think that we will find her."
"Yes," the man answered.
"Right now," he said, "she is the only person I trust to help us with this"
