Hey, fairy tail fans, and welcome back to a fairy tail re-told the conclusions of the key to the starry sky arc. The battle is over, and our hero's rest and catch up after all this fighting. After this chapter, we will be getting into the next one. now let's get into the story.
Fun fact: on this day about four years ago the very first chapter was released. back then I had no idea if this story would get this far. so once again, let me thank all of you for your support, and well reading this story this far, though all my grammatical errors, and other things that have plagued this story since the beginning, here's to hoping that I am able to go even further in the next four years hopefully we get to the tartaros arc but I'm not making any promises.
and in the spirit of my nostalgia, I want to hear from you, which character do you think I've changed the most, which character you think I've changed the least, and which character do think I should add to the story more often. I'm curious to hear from you

Wendy let out a breath of fresh air as she finished the last of the Archbishop's treatment. She smiled as the man sat up behind them. Byro's look of concern faded as the Archbishop stood up. "I must thank you again, child," he said "it's finally good to be able to have a full night's rest" he smiled, "you have my eternal gratitude for the deed you have done."
"Please don't mention it," Wendy said as she finished writing something on a small notepad before handing it to Byro "also, cut back on all the medicine that he's taking since he's in good health; this is all he should be taking for the time being"
"I see," Byro muttered. He had to admit he was impressed at this girl's skill level in healing magic. She had healed the Archbishop from a condition that had the entire Zentopia medical staff baffled, and yet not only was she able to cure his nightmares all the other ailments that have been plaguing him as well "thank you," he said
"Yes," the Archbishop said, "please, if there is anything we can do for you, let us know."
"Actually," Wendy said, sitting up, "there is something I wanted to ask," she started, "can this stay between us," she asked. to this, the Archbishop and Byro nodded "about six years ago, I survived an attack by a dragon on Tenrou Island," Wendy told them, "Better to say Lily and I are the only survivors."
"You aren't trying to track this dragon down, are you," Byro asked
"no," Wendy shook her head, "the combined might of my entire team didn't put a scratch on that thing," she said, remembering how her Natsu and Gajeel's combined attack only succeeded in making Acnologia attack them "as I am now I would be running to my death if I went face that monster" she sighed "but when it was attacking us, it said something to me" Wendy's voice had gone quiet as she shifted where she was sitting, "it said Dragonborn" the words hung in the air as Byro and the Archbishop looked at each "I was wondering if you might know what that is" she had asked master Makarov, Jura who both didn't know what that word was
"I'm sorry, my friend," the Archbishop said, "but I don't think that term has any meaning here in Zentopia."
"I see," Wendy said, looking down before standing up, "thank you."
What I want to tell my daughter
A bell sounded in the middle of Zentopia as the Archbishop stood on the top of a tower. Everyone stood in the center of town as he gave a speech, "may all our recent transgressions be forgiven" he started it was clear that they were repenting for all the trouble that the infinity clock had caused "we the people of Zentopia must repent for all the trouble we have caused, and start on a new path" he said, "a path of righteousness that may cleanse of these sins."
Wendy and Lily stood in one of the columns, her back against the wall next to them were Coco and Kinana as they listened to the speech that the Archbishop gave "everything okay" Lily asked the girl as she came from her spot, standing next to Kinana, who gave her a quick smile.
"Yeah," Wendy told him, "Just taking everything in," she said, looking in the crowd and could pick out Laki and Lyon.
"Somebody, please shoot me," Lyon muttered.
"Oh, get over it," Laki said, trying to hide her laugh, "we're stuck cause the big man himself invited us."
"He invited Dragon tail," Lyon shot back.
"And you are a member, aren't you," Laki asked as Lyon grumbled something, looking away "besides, once all this is said and done, Dragon tail is going to disband, so we might as well take in all the thanks now," she said
"Are you worried about the council," Lyon asked.
"Nah," Laki told him she caught Wendy smiling at them, "we're going to be just fine."
"If you're sure," Lyon said as they went back to listing to the Archbishop's speech, "though I will admit," Lyon said, "it is pretty nice to see this in person."
"Never took you for the religious type," Laki said
"Call it a mild interest," Lyon told her "Nothing major, but I've always wanted to see what these could look like."
"Yeah, it is interesting" Laki looked around. She smiled, trying to hide her laugh as she looked at Makarov. Next to him were Freed, and Bickslow was standing next to him, and behind them was Cosmos. She had heard that the Archbishop had invited the two wizard saints along with her friends. It looked like Cosmos was about to die of boredom. Makarov seemed to be taking this in though she had to admit she always admired how he could take any experience and enjoy it. Those were words he would always give wizards back in magnolia, and those are words that he would live by "though let's hope they don't make a habit of this"
"I hope not," Lyon muttered.
"Today is the start of a new path," the Archbishop finished "let us rejoice, and use these experiences to guide us into a better future," he said, the last part ending in a scream as everyone cheered the wizards of dragon tail smiled at the sight. it was nice to see
'here's to a new start.'
"As the leader of the legion platoon," Byro said it was after the ceremony had ended the wizards had all returned to the dragon pub to rest when the legion platoon had walk-in bowing their heads out of respect. "I offer my deepest and sincerest apologies to you, wizards."
"there's no room for remorse," Makarov said, coming forward "let's all move beyond this crisis," he smiled "we have been enemies, but that doesn't mean we can start a new" Makarov walked forward, extending his hand out "let this be friendship from here on out."
"You are as gracious as you are wise," Byro said as the pair shook hands as everyone stood up started to make small talk.

"Let's go, kid," Dan screamed as he and Romeo sat over a plate of food. Warren, next to them, holding a small flag, "let's see if you can keep up with the dan man."
Romeo smiled. "Yeah, I'm all fired up," he screamed as the duo started eating.
"Man," Warren said, "he has an appetite."
"that's my boy," Macao shouted.
"Well, I should get going," Lyon said as everyone started to settle down
"you're heading back to Lamia scale," Laki asked
"Yeah," Lyon told her, "I've been gone for too long," he admitted "the old hag is going to have my head," he said as Wendy let out a small laugh.
"Thank you for your help, Lyon," she said
"Wait, Ice boy," Sugerboy said, "can't you stay for a while," he asked as he started singing, "we could cuddle for a while and ignite our flames of" he was stopped when he was frozen soled by an irritated Lyon.
"he'll defrost when I'm out of range," Lyon muttered as Laki laughed. He then looked at her "and Laki" he said
"Yeah," Laki asked
"Get some clearer spells, would ya," he said, a teasing grin on his face " no one has any idea what you're talking about."
"Oh, screw you," Laki screamed.
"Umm, Lily," Coco said, getting the feline's attention, "I owe you an apology. I know I said some pretty mean things."
"it's fine," Lily said, "water under the bridge."
"Thank you, Lily," Coco said
"I must say, my dear," Jude said, sitting down, "it is nice to see you safe and sound."
"Yep," Coco said, "it feels good to be back where I belong."
"Yeah," Wendy said as Kinana handed her drink, "shouldn't you be operating the bar."
"Gotta lot to do and many customers, Wendy," she said, "so Miko wants me to run tables," she said.
Behind them, Byro had joined Makarov, who was sitting at the bar. Asuka was sitting in his lap napping while her parents went to find food "Master Makarov," he asked, "might I ask where your friend went."
"Who Cosmos," he asked, "she had to get back, much like Lyon she came from a distance away to help us" he looked away," is there something wrong."
"No, just" Byro looked into the distance. "I guess it's just the remorse finally kicking in."
"I'm sure you'll forgive yourself eventually," Makarov said "that's the first step, but know that we don't blame you for all that happened. I understand that you were doing what you thought was best for your people."
"Thank you," Byro said, "And what of the magic council."
"I'll have to check-in," Makarov said. "I'll need to give a full report when I'm given a chance."
Byro sighed as he held the seal of the Archbishop in his hands that was gifted to him "might I ask what that is."
"a burden," Byro admitted, "one I'm not sure that I'm ready to carry."
"It gets lighter," Makarov told him, "Once you learn to trust yourself."
"So, Wendy," Dan started, "how about we go somewhere private and" he was unable to finish as Wendy slammed him into the ground as Coco shook her head. Hughes, next to her, pulled out a drawing that showed the moment that Dan was hit, making the girl chuckle as Wendy scoffed at his forwardness.
"Make sure he tells that one right," Wendy muttered
"Totally," Hughes said "oh, and another thing," Hughes asked, "how are Katja and that Michelle lobster girl."
"Young Katja is fine," Jude said, "right now she's still resting upstairs, and as for Michelle, Wendy was able to get to her yesterday, were waiting on doctors to tell us of her condition and for her to wake up."
"I see," Hughes muttered. "I'm sorry."
"No," Jude said smiling, "what happened wasn't your fault; we were all tricked and used."
"I guess," Hughes admitted. She smiled at the thought. she noticed something Wendy had a photo in her pocket "like, what's that."
"Oh this," Wendy said, pulling out the photo, "it's a picture of my old team, fairy tail."
"Wow," Coco said, "where are you."
"I'm the little girl in the middle," she pointed to her younger self "the guy with pink hair on their head is Natsu, and the girl to my side is Erza."
"Why is he not wearing a shirt," Hughes asked as she pointed towards Gray
"He had a stripping Habit," Wendy laughed "don't ask."
"And that must be Lucy," Coco said "wow, she's beautiful," she said
"Yeah," Wendy said
"Do you miss them," Coco asked
"It gets easier with each passing day," Wendy admitted, "ya know."
"Well, I can alleviate those worries," Dan said, having recovered only for Wendy to knock him out.
hours later; once the sun had begun to set, the members of the legion platoon stood outside, preparing to bid a final farewell to the wizards. "I must once again thank you for your hospitality."
"Oh, it's nothing," Wendy said
"you guys are welcome here anytime Kinana said
"Thank you," Byro said, "with the infinity cock behind us, I'm hoping that you know that if you are ever in need of anything, know that Zentopia is willing to come to your aid." Byro smiled "but now I and the legion platoon must work on finding any clues about the scattered clock pieces; we need to be sure that it was truly destroyed." Byro said, "however, seeing as they have lost their magic power, it may be some time before we can indeed find them."
"Yes, thank you," Wendy said "same to you," she said, "if you guys are ever in a jam or just want to stop by, don't be afraid to reach out." she smiled at them "we'll like tots hang out."
"Please stop talking," Kinana muttered as Lily laughed
"that's a promise," Hughes said, "we'll like totally hang out when we see you."
"It was fun, bro," Samul said
"Stay safe out there, Sam," Lily said
"Remember," Makarov said, "though we have to go separate ways know that we will always be connected through our hearts and the bonds we have forged" he smiled "so don't fret, no that no matter where you are going, even if we can't see you."
"We are always looking your way," Wendy finished as they bid the group farewell. While master Makarov and Wendy gave the group the fairy tail, Farwell brought the group to laughter as they watched their friends go off.
In Era, Dornbolt and Lahar walked down the hallway "so Katja was recovered safely," Dornbolt asked. he was now back in his magic enforcement unit uniform
"Yes," Lahar told him, "She even sent you a thank you card."
Dornbolt smiled "I'm glad she's alright," he said, "and it was good to see Wendy again."
"I'm just glad you finally ready to move on," Lahar said as they walked up to master Org, who smiled at the two "master Org," Lahar said, "how was the meeting," he asked him as the man walked up to them. "Has a decision been reached on the inter guild treaty conversion revision?"
"Yes, it has," Org said "fortunately, guild wars seem to be dying down again," he said as he walked past them motioning for them to follow him, "and we received a report from Makarov though he said he had more to report upon his return," Org said "Zentopia has said it takes full responsibility for everything. However, the chairmen seem to want to place the blame on the wizards involved."
"So will we," Dornbolt asked.
"No," Org said, "Zentopia's Archbishop himself praised the wizards publicly" he shook his head "punishing them would cause an uproar that we don't want" he smiled "to think this is the first incident since Zeref and Acnologia appeared on Tenrou Island "he looked into the distance.
"There has been no word on either since," Lahar reported. "I'm sorry, sir blame for that falls on me." Org shook his head.
"We should bolster the observation unit," Org muttered, "while the guild treaty is in place, tensions between Sabertooth and Mermaid heel is at an all-time high" he shook his head "war could break out at any moment," he sighed "while Grimoire heart and Tartaros have been inactive. we don't want to risk causing more division among the guild under the kingdom."
"Actually," Dornbolt said, "We received reports that Zeref killed master Hades dafter the battle on Tenrou Island," Dornbolt noted, "we also know that Fairy tail was able to drive them off."
"The chairmen refuses to believe that," Org said, "but it would answer to why the guild has been inactive; they could have disbanded," he stroked his beard, "but what of Tartaros."
"it's anyone's guess when they could strike." Lahar said, "so we should be on our guard" Lahar looked into the distance "they could land ablow at any moment, so we need everyone to be on the same page, that includes whatever left of the solo wizards
"Yes," Org said as he started to walk away, letting out a small laugh, "it been a while, but it is nice to know that they still come running if there is an issue that we can count on them assisting us," Org said
"But I think the council would prefer them all to be in a guild," Lahar asked.
"Yes," Org said, "however we can't force them. We only hope that the guilds can convince them eventually that being in a guild at this time is the best possible choice."
"Yes," Dornbolt said, "in this day and age, we need to be prepared for anything."
"you're heading out," Wendy asked as Makarov stood in front of the door. next to him was Freed and Bickslow
"Yes," Makarov said, "I need to give my full report." he smiled. "I must say you have grown so much, my dear."
"It was nice catching up with you, Wendy," Bickslow said, "you too, Kinana."
"Yes," Freed said, "should you or Kinana need anything, do not hesitate to call us."
"of course," Wendy said
"The same to you," Lily said as they turned to leave
"I guess we should be heading out to," Macao said "managed to get us a job in Clover" he stood up
"Ah yeah," Romeo said, "a job with dad" he smiled
"Now try not to stress your old man out too much, kiddo," Wakaba said, "he's gotten slow in his old age."
"Oh, shut up," Macao said as the trio started to leave the pub
"Hey," Laki asked, "have you seen Alzack and Bisca," she asked as she watched the group leave
"They headed out this morning," Wendy told her as they went to the bar where Miko was cleaning some dishes "something about taking Asuka on a picnic," she said, "she was thrilled it was adorable."
"Oh, good for her," she said as the pair sat down "look like things are calming down."
"Yeah," she said, "Katja with Jude right now, they went to go check on Michelle."
"Right," Laki said, "and."
"I'm not sure," Wendy admitted, "she was attached to the Lacrima for so long there's no telling what the effects will be"
"So, it's a waiting game," Laki said
"So, what's next for you, miss Laki" Wendy asked. "Everyone else is heading back to hunting for jobs."
"Yeah," Laki said, "but for me, I might take a break," Laki said, "get some rest, ya know."
"that's a first" Warren's voice came in behind him was Max "always great to take a break."
"Hey, after everything, I want to enjoy the peace for a while," Laki said.
"And there ain't nothing wrong with that," Max said, taking a sip from his drink.
"Speaking of which, how's the shoulder," Wendy asked
"You are a miracle worker, Wendy," Max screamed
"that's good to hear," Kinana said as she handed Laki and Wendy a drink. "I'm glad you're okay."
"Speaking of okay," Max said, "how about you."
"I," Kinana stopped. "I'm at peace," she smiled. "I know who I am now," she smiled at Wendy, "and that's not going to change. Who I was doesn't matter anymore? I have to keep looking forward."
"Did you at least get the answers you wanted," Lily asked?
"yeah" Kinana confirmed
"Well, in that case, I'm happy," Wendy said as she eyed the door leading out of the pub "maybe I should go check on Jude," Wendy said suddenly getting looks from everyone "he went to check on Michelle earlier"
"if you want," Lily said
"yeah" Wendy muttered "besides I want to meet Lucy's real cousin," she said "did you handle that thing I asked you about" to this Lily nodded "thank bud, I'll be back later kay" she smiled "then you and I can go back to finding work" she smiled as she left the pub
as she came up to the hospital she noticed that Katja was outside she smiled as she ran up to Wendy smiling "hey Wendy," Katja said as she gave her a hug
"How are you doing," Wendy asked patting her head
"Better," Katja said, "though my magic power" she looked away after she woke up. Katja lost access to her magic power, and right now, it was unknown if she would ever get back. "Uncle Jude says I need to keep faith that I will be able to access my magic one day," she said as they walked through the halls.
"he's right," Wendy said as she saw Jude he smiled giving her a nod "how she's doing," she asked
"she just woke up," Jude said as he lead her down the hallway "I was just about to go visit her," he said as they entered the small room where Michelle was sitting up; she looked at them.
"Uncle Jude," she muttered. Her voice was raspy, obviously from lack of use over the past eight years. Wendy started to take in the girl's appearance. She did look a lot like Imitatia did when she was disguised as her. However, there were a few differences. For one, she had maroon shoulder-length hair, and her eyes were a deeper shade of blue, but other than that, she was a one-to-one copy of the clone that Imitatia used. However, she was a bit on the skinny side, but that was most likely due to a lack of eating as well "where am I" she asked.
"The hospital, my dear," Jude explained, "you've been asleep for some time, eight years to be in fact" letting out a sigh "do you remember anything."

"I remember," she looked away, "this wizard he was tall had a beard," Michelle said "he attacked our farm," she said tears forming in her eyes "he killed mom and dad then this thing came up to me scanned me and turned into me then I don't remember anything after that," she said "I don't," she said as Jude brought her in for a hug "I can't believe I was out for eight years."
"Yes," Jude said. "I'm sorry," he muttered as they separated. Michelle looked around.
"where's Lucy," she asked.
"Michelle," Jude said, "I'm sorry to add to your heartbreak, but Lucy disappeared some time ago" a look of sorrow came over her face.
"I see," Michelle said, "well, it is good to see you again, Uncle Jude."
"Yes," Jude said, "however, fear not, I know in my heart that she will return one day" he smiled. "Yes, I know that she will be able to grace the land with her smile," he stood up, "and once you have fully recovered, know that if you wish, you can stay with me until you can land on your feet."
"Really," Michelle asked.
"of course," Jude said, "you are family after all" he then turned to Katja, "and yes, let me formally introduce you to your other cousin" he smiled "this is young Katja."
"My cousin," Michelle asked
"it's nice to meet you," Michelle said
"Umm hi," Katja said as the doors opened, revealing Porlyusica
"Hello," she said, "are you the girl that was in the lacrmia coma for the past eight years."
"don't worry, we can trust her," Wendy said, "she taught me everything I know when it comes to medical advice."
"Yes," Porlyusica said, "this is a little out of Wendy's dept, so if you don't mind, I need to search the girl over, make sure she; okay."
"Thank you," Jude said, walking out. "I'll be outside if you need me" as they walked outside, Wendy stopped picking up something.
"I also found this after we escaped the infinity castle," she told him, "A small doll that I assume was the base of Imitatia."
"I see," Jude said, picking up the doll "Gonzales," he muttered, "this was Lucy's doll. She played with it all the time when she was younger" he smiled "no wonder I felt such a kinship with her" he smiled at Wendy "I can't thank the both of you enough for all you've done."
"don't mention it," Lily said
"Yeah," Wendy said, "as I said, Lucy would have done it, and she was family, so it's only fair that I do it in her place," she started to leave "if you guys need anything, don't hesitate to call me, okay."
"Yes," Jude said "oh wait," Jude said, getting her attention, "I almost forgot your payment."
"No, it's fine, really," Wendy said
"No, I insist," he smiled. "I found this some time ago, and I intended it to give back Lucy when she returned " he pulled something. It was a small circler necklace attached to a silver chain, "and I figured it would matter more to you than me" Wendy opened up to see a small symbol. It was Mavis mark. She smiled as she moved it to the side to see a picture of Natsu Happy, Erza, Gray, and Lucy. It brought a tear to her eyes as she looked at it "we both need to hope that we can see them again, my dear," Jude smiled, "and when that day comes, we both will have a lot to tell them."
"Thank you," Wendy said, tears in her eyes wiping them "thank you."
"I should be thanking you," Jude said "thanks to you, we solved the mystery of the clock piece, and Will Neville's spirit can family rest in peace, the burden that I've carried for years" he let out a chuckle "it's finally gone, and its all thanks to you and your friends" Wendy let out a small chuckle, "so from the bottom of my heart, allow me to thank you," he said
Wendy smiled as she put the necklace away "it was my pleasure," she said, "if ever need anything."
"I know," Jude said, "please promise me you'll take care of yourself."
"I will," Wendy said. "I got Lily to make sure of that."
"Yes," Lily added, "we can take care of ourselves just fine."
"you'll come to visit, right Wendy," Katja asked.
"of course, I will," she said, patting her on the head as she turned to leave, leaving them to worry about Michelle. Her job done, she smiled as she exited the hospital, a light breeze going past her. She wondered if Lucy, wherever she was, was happy that her father had people with him to keep him company. The thought truly brought another smile to her face.
Later Jude had returned to his small home, wheeling in Michelle. As she leaned back behind him was Katja; as the top entered the room, one of the many workers from the church that Katja has stayed at approached them.
"young Katja," she asked, "are you alright."
"yes," she replied, I'm fine."
"come now, Michelle. Let's get you to bed," Jude said
"Sorry," Michelle said. "I hope it's not too much trouble."
"none, my dear," Jude told her, smiling as they walked. They noticed something lying on the ground "what is this" Jude asked, looking back the worker shook her head. He noticed it was the ground; he saw that the old doll that he and Layla had gifted Lucy when she was younger. He reached for the small frame noticing a small note beside it.
'because we all need something to keep them with us' the note read
Jude looked over as he opened up the package seeing that it was the old photo from his old estate, thoroughly repaired and in better condition than he had last seen it. He noticed that in Lucy's hand, was holding her doll he felt Katja grabbing his arm shooting him a smile Michelle wheeled herself to his side smiling as she looked over the photo
"do think I will be able to meet her one day," she asked
"yes," Jude said looking at her smiling
"one day we will"

And thus, the key to the starry sky arc concludes; as always, tell me what you think of the first arc in the X791 saga. This arc was honestly fun to write. It was nice to use different characters and have them interact. Hopefully, all of you felt the same. I plan to use some of the characters introduced in this arc in the future chapter, such as Miko, Katja, and Michelle, but right now, I'm not sure if I can include the legion platoon anywhere, but we'll see with time. next time it's the start of a new adventure, but where will our hero's journey go
deep underneath the ocean floor, a bright light shined, scaring a few fish away as what appeared to be a large dome a single silhouette in the shape of a giant tree appeared as the ground around it started to move before vanishing the land around it moving as dust went up the shadow of the tree hanging in the air as the light took the shape of a sphere
