Hey, fairy tail fans, and welcome back to a fairy tail re-told. After seven years, the members of fairy tail have returned after their fight against Acnologia. Our heroes have finally been reunited with their loved ones who they thought had died on Tenrou Island. How will the return of fairy tail affect the world going forward? fond out now, on a fairy tail re-told

Fun fact: this is possibly the shortest arc I've done in a while, with it being only two chapters long, so far the longest arc in the story is the Tenrou Isalnd arc currently sitting at twenty-eight, though that going to change very soon

"Gently now," Erza said as she and Gray laid Juvia on the bed as Wendy walked up to them after all the tears and celebrations. They needed to get to check out Juvia, making sure she was okay. Even on their trip home, she had remained unresponsive. It was anyone's guess as to how well she would be doing "this is my fault," Erza started, " I should have never left her to fight that girl alone."

"There wasn't anything you could have done, Erza," Gray said "remember, if you hadn't split up, Azuma would have destroyed the Tenrou tree," Gray said, "and you could be in the same state as Juvia right now."

"Still," Erza said, "what if you and Natsu weren't able to get to her in time." she said "what if"

"Let not think about that," Wendy said as she started using her healing magic "right now, let's focus on making sure she pulls through and lives to see another day," Wendy said. She sighed, looking at the concerned faces of Erza and Gray "don't worry," Wendy said. "I got this," she then made a move to push them out the room, "just give me time," getting a confirmed nod as she turned back.

"you're so confident now," Carla laughed. "I can see it in your eyes."

"Carla," Wendy said as she bent down smiling at her friend, "come on, don't give me that" she smiled at her, "no matter how old I get, you'll always be my best friend."

Carla let out a breath of fresh air "yes, I know," she looked away, "we're going to be together forever, right." to which Wendy nodded as she stood up, looking over Juvia "are you sure you can handle this."

"This might be the hardest thing I've done since the archbishop," Wendy admitted getting a confused look from her friend. She smiled "don't worry, I can handle it" she smiled as she stretched before she got to work 'hang on, Juvia, you'll be fine.'

the long seven years

Wendy walked downstairs, seeing everyone celebrating. Mira had worked her way behind the counter. How she managed that is anyone's guess, but she noted that Kinana was sitting down, which meant the girl made her take a break. She stopped when Gray and Erza ran up to her Natsu and Lucy, looking up. she could even see Gajeel turn to greet her pretending not to listen, but she could tell from how he looked that he was just as worried as everyone else "don't worry," Wendy said, giving a wink, "she's going to pull through all she needs is rest"

"Thank goodness," Erza said as Gray let out a sigh of relief, "so she's going to be okay."

"I'll have to wait until she wakes up to be sure to say," Wendy said, "so all we need to do is wait."

"Alright," Gray said

"Come on," Wendy said, pushing them towards the bar, "let's relax for a moment," she said

"Look at you," Lucy said. She looked over at Romeo. Next to them were Natsu, Gajeel, Happy, and Lily; she noticed that Wendy was walking up to them, "you went and grew upon us."

"he's rocking fire magic," Wendy said "according to Macao, he's almost as good as he was when he was his age," Wendy laughed, "but in my honest opinion, he surpassed that a while back.

"I got this cold flame," Romeo said, "and this purple one is sticky."

"Wow," Natsu said, "wait, I've seen this fire before."

"Yeah," Romeo said, "don't tell dad, but I've secretly been taking lessons from master Totomaru," Romeo told them. "He's amazing and has taught me who to use all sorts of fire."

"Hey," Gajeel smiled at hearing the name of one of his former guildmates"didn't know he got into teaching" a smile formed on his face "good to know he's doing alright."

"that's rare," Lily said, "it's good to see a smile on his face." it was nice to see his old partner after so long though their time together was brief it felt like he and Gajeel had been together their entire lives similarly to Natsu and Happy, or Wendy and Carla two halves of a whole they were incomplete without the other

"Cool," Natsu said, "he still needs to show me all the unique fire that he has."

"I don't think that's going to happen," Romeo explained, "he's not exactly your biggest fan."

"Last time I was there, he challenged me to a fight when I told him about you," Wendy laughed.

"And you won, right," Natsu asked.

"of course, I did," Wendy said, trying not to sound offended "that chump was down in three seconds flat."

"Good to see you still kicking, old man," Laxus said, as he finally approached his grandfather after so long months for him and years for him he felt a wave of different emotions were swelling through him "look I."

"don't," Makarov interrupted, "Wendy told me all about your heroic fight with Hades" he smiled at his grandson, "so that you know I'm proud of you" he smiled at him, "you did me, proud boy."

"Thanks, grandpa"

"WHAT!" Mira's voice rang across the crowd "what do you mean you're married" she cried as Alzack and Bisca smiled at her. "I can't believe I missed it," she cried, going into a corner.

"Wow," Natsu said, walking over to them, "congrats."

"We wish you guys could have been there." Bisca said, "you should have seen his face when I proposed"

"You just had to bring that up," Alzack blushed at his wife's teasing

"And who's this little thing," Natsu asked as Asuka hid behind her dad's leg he could tell she was nervous "don't tell me this is your kid."

"Yep," Alzack said, picking her up, "this is my little girl" he smiled "we named her Asuka," he said "come on sweetie don't be shy," he said trying to calm her down "this is Natsu, and Mira, the ones we always tell you about" looking at them she smiled as she waved to Natsu and the disgruntled Mira.

"You have kids too," Mira shouted, tears running down her face, "and she's adorable."

"Mira, calm down," Kinana said, pulling something out, "while it true guys weren't there" Kinana pulled out a large book, a giant smile on her face, "we have a bunch of photos."

"Kinana" Mira screamed as she hugged the girl as they started showing them pictures, one of which caught Carla's attention.

"Well," Carla muttered, "this is horrifying."

"Sorry," Reedus said, "I tried to imagine what you guys would look like older."

"Speaking of which," Happy asked, "we were gone for a long time where the exceeds worried about us," Happy asked.

"We exceed experience time differently," Lily told them, "So I doubt they noticed your absence," Lily told them, "Though we should stop by to let them know you're okay." Lily looked away "it wasn't easy telling them that you had gone missing."

"Awe, so you missed us," Carla teased as Lily turned away, a slight blush forming on his cheeks.

"love you too big guy" Happy added as Lily turned a deep shade of red

"Speaking of time," Mavis said, looking at Kinana, "have you recovered any memories while we've been gone, child."

"Umm," Kinana said, "you could say that" her voice cracked a bit. as she thought of her meeting and how she fought with Cobra, "can we talk about it later" she asked

"Yes," Mavis said, smiling at her, "please know that we are here for you."

"I know," Kinana said, "thank you" the doors behind them opened as people walked through. "Umm, hello," Kinana said, "may we help you" she stopped when she noticed that Lyon had arrived next to him were the other members of the Lamia scale guild.

"Wonderful," Jura said, walking forward. He had changed, gaining a long, thin dark beard growing from his chin, which reaches below his upper chest in a wavy motif. Said beard is paired by a little, similarly colored mustache split into two parts, a dark kimono, with the collar and sleeves adorned by a dark motif consisting of many squares placed in succession, linked together by a dark line, and similarly flanked by two more lines, striped, traditional hakama and geta sandals paired with light tabi. "it's good to see that you are all in good health."

"Hello, my lovelies," Sherry said, completely excited at seeing them again. She was wearing a black vest top and matching skirt. The vest sports a collar and ties reaching only to her mid-chest, and aside from a light cloth band clasped above her navel, her belly and the under-inside portion of her breasts are exposed. She also wears a dark hairband with points resembling cat ears and long black gloves reaching to her upper arms" it's good to know that your deaths were completely exaggerated."

"Though saying they're in good health might be an overstatement," Yuka said his eyebrows has now a perennial, much more prominent and defined spike pointing downwards at its outer edge, he has styled his hair in a different cut, gathering it on the back of his head and tying it in a braid. an open, sleeveless green tunic with purple edges, held closed around his waist by both a light band and a light rope, over a soft green shirt his extremely loose light pants, while first paired with dark ankle boots, "seeing as they haven't aged in Seven years."

"Right," Toby said. He was wearing a pair of more petite loose pants, paired with a light belt that bears a dark cloth with delicate edges hanging from it on the front. Dark leggings with golden upper edges are two semicircular, horizontal bands to the fabric, attached to both sides by buttons and covering Toby's legs from the ankles to the upper part of his thighs. He seems to retain his old collar but now added a long chain hanging on his chest, to which a dark sock with more delicate parts is attached. "It is good to see you again."

"You haven't even been back two days, and you've already trashed the place," Lyon teased.

"Wow," Lucy said, "it's Lamia scale."

"Yeah," Wendy said, "after all the craziness with Tenrou Island, they and Blue Pegasus helped us out when it came to looking for you guys the most."

"Really," Lucy asked

"Well, I guess we owe you, one man," Gray said

Lyon scoffed "as much as I would like to take you up on that," Lyon smiled. "I have seven years on you now, and I don't take advantage of children."

"Oh, don't listen to him," Sherry said, standing next to Gray "he was just as worried about you as everyone else in here was," she laughed "he was on every search party." she said, winking "first in line every time, you should have seen it."

"Yeah," Laki said, coming to the other side of Gray, "he missed his buddy."

"Both of you shut up," Lyon shouted

"Good to know you care," Gray laughed as Lyon turned away though Gray didn't fail to notice the smile on his face

"In any case," Jura said, "it's good to see you all again, and we're all glad to have you back with us."

"that's right," Toby shouted.

"Come on, dad," Cana shouted, "don't tell me about the strongest guy in here has a weak stomach."

"Goodness," Gildarts muttered as she downed another. "Where do you get this alcohol tolerance from" he muttered "it's not me," he groaned as "but don't get ahead of yourself, your old man can keep up with you."

"that's the spirit," she said as the pair chugged another pint of beer, much to the shock of Miko.

"Oh my," Miko muttered

"Sorry about that," Mavis told her

"No," she said, "no trouble at all, Ms. Mavis," she told her, a smile forming on her face as she looked at Wendy and Kinana and the ever-present smile that whereon their faces. "I haven't seen them smile so much since we all ended up together."

"Yes," Mavis said, "I think everyone here is trying to cram seven years of partying into one night."

"don't worry about it," she told her, "Just try not to reck the place too much."

"No promises," Mavis laughed. "I'll be sure to make them clean up after."

Wendy smiled as she took everything that was going on in. As everyone started to settle in for them, only a week had passed, sure, but for the people that knew them, years of pain and fear had finally come to an end. They were back. She looked around. Jet and Droy haven't left Levy's side, and she could understand the sentiment she and Carla have been next to each other since the moment outside it made her smile. She noticed the Elfman seemed not to be able to take his eyes off Sherry and that it was making Evergreen look Jealous though she would let the other handle that.

"You must be master Mavis," Jura said, taking place next to her and Makarov "it is an honor to meet you."

"I share the sentiment," Mavis said. "Makarov has told me a lot about you."

"If you don't mind me asking," Jura said, "Wendy reported that you and your friends faced off against Grimoire heart," Jura asked. "I hope you don't mind me asking you. if you can confirm some events, for example, the fate of the guild after your battle."

"Yes," Makarov added, "for instance, the identity of Grimoire heart's master" he looked away, "Wendy told me that he knew you."

"Yes," Mavis said, "it was master Precht," Mavis told them. "However, his fate after the battle is unknown to me. While I best him in combat, I didn't take his life; as for the seven kin, you'd have to ask the children about their fates as they did battle with them," Mavis said, "has anything happened."

"No," Jura confirmed, "Grimoire heart has fallen off the radar" he then looked at her, "and Zeref is still on the run as well."

"I see," Mavis said, "if you need anything, know that my children and I will do our best to help."

"I expect nothing less," Makarov said, "but be sure to get some rest. You all just returned."

"Hey, Jura," Natsu said, walking up to him, "can I ask you something," he asked as the man nodded. "I need information about someone, a wizard who uses snow magic from Grimoire heart" he looked away "she was known as the white terror," he asked, "Meredy."

"Sorry," Jura told him, "As I was telling your master, Grimoire heart hasn't been heard from in seven years," Jura told him, "And there been no arrest that included a wizard of that description." Natsu nodded "are you looking for her"

"Yeah," Natsu said, "you could say that"

"If I hear anything, I'll let you know," Jura said, "if anything from what I heard, I would want someone of your skill with me if we had to track her down."

"That bad," Natsu asked.

"The white terror," Jura muttered, "she's singly handily wiped guilds of the map" Jura shook his head his mind going to seeing the aftermath of a few of her attacks the bloodstained snow that he would have to walk through "if anything, we have reason to believe Grimoire heat disbanded after your victory over them on Tenrou Island, so right now we have no idea what they're up to"

"I see," Natsu said, looking away "thank you" was all he said, walking away.

"Is he alright," Makarov asked.

"I'll handle it," Mira called, leaving them behind

"Thank you," Mavis said as Mira followed after her "from what I hear, Natsu was the one who fought her on the island; she's also the one who put Juvia in her current state."

"I see," Jura said

Mira walked around the outside of the pub seeing Natsu sitting against the wall a scowl on his face as he looked into the distance watching the setting sun on his face "so what's wrong" Mira asked as she forced him to scoot over, taking a seat next to him "come on everyone's inside celebrating this is no time to brood" she tried to make a joke to make him laugh only he put his head on her shoulder as she wrapped him in a tight one-armed hug "come on tell me what's the matter" she asked.

"It could have easily been me," Natsu admitted

"What," Mira asked

"Meredy, she's the snow dragon slayer," Natsu told her

"I see," Mira said she knew that Natsu felt a kinship with other dragon slayers, and seeing her might have had an effect she remembered how he was after the battle had ended

"During the battle," Natsu said as he remembered his fight with the snow dragon slayer. It was still fresh on his mind "it was like looking in a mirror, couldn't help but thinking of what if," he explained.

"You're nothing like her, Natsu," Mira told him.

"But I could have been," Natsu said "it could have been me, Gajeel, even Wendy," he said "when our parents left us, we had no one," he said "anyone could have found us and turned us on the wrong path," he said "I could have been the one found by Grimoire heart or hell what if when Laxus" he stopped "the only difference between us is that I had you," he admitted as Mira place her head on top of his "she's everything I could be"

"Do you want that," Mira asked as Natsu shook his head "look, I can see why she has you messed up," Mira said, "but don't let that stop you," she said? "your nothing like that" Mira said there was anger in her voice but it was masked by her concern for him

"But unlike me, she didn't have someone like you, Mira," he admitted "someone like Elfman, someone like Lisanna, or hell people like Erza, Lucy, or Gray," he said, "people to keep her in check, people to save her from her own sorrow." Natsu started, "all she had was a false promise, and the need to find the one person who loved her," Natsu said, anger filling his voice, "and we don't even know why they left us" the only person who could have prevented that, we were all so young so impressionable."

"Then be that person," came the voice of Mavis. "Sometimes all it takes is a single word," she smiled at them as she approached the pair "that's all it can take to make a heart open."

"I guess," Natsu said, "but I'll have to face her again," Natsu said "if she's still with Grimoire heart, or still a dark wizard, I'll have to do it" Natsu looked away. "I'll have to fight her again."

"I know," Mira said, laying her head on top of his, "but you're not alone," Mira said " Me, Elfman, Lucy, Erza, Wendy" she smiled "hell even Gray" she smiled at him as she took a peek inside "we're all here for you, and when you need us, we will be there for you"

"Thanks, sis"

"So, you wanted to talk," Lyon asked as he and Gray were on the roof, both missing their shirts as he leaned back on the roof "you look pretty serious."

"You remember master Ur's daughter right," he asked as he took a swig from his drink."

"Yeah," Lyon said

"she's alive," Gray admitted, shocking Lyon

"What do you mean," he asked, "how could that be."

"The guys who said she had died kidnapped her," Gray explained, "wanted to use her magic power for something she escaped" he looked away, "and when she saw us with her mother."

"She thought she was abandoned," Lyon sighed, "and I take it she was with Grimoire heart" Gray nodded. "To think she was out there all this time," Lyon whispered, "and Ur never knew."

"Which is why I'm going to ask you this," Gray said, "if I ever managed to track her down," Gray said, "can I rely on you to help me with her"

"Sure thing," Lyon said, looking in the distance " she is our master's daughter after all," Lyon said, "but I don't know what we can do."

"we'll have to cross that bridge when we get there," Gray said

"If you say so," Lyon said, looking into the distance 'Ur' he wondered, 'don't worry master, I won't let you down again.'

"Good," Lucy said as she leaned back, everything starting to calm down" she smiled.

"I'm glad," Kinana said. "I think this is the most alive this place has been since I started working here," she admitted "we even had our first pass out," she gestured to Gildarts and Cana, who both had passed out from their beer intake.

"Ya know, seeing them like that," Lucy muttered. "It makes me think about my dad," she said. "I should go see him."

"Lucy," Wendy whispered. "I," she looked away, holding her cup as she let out a breath of fresh air, "a lot of has happened while you've been gone," she said,

"What do you mean," Lucy asked, "you've spoken to him."

"Yeah," Wendy said, "for about two months now" she let out a sigh "we can head out in the morning," she told her there was a solum look in her eyes

the next day, Wendy along with Lucy, Natsu, Happy, Carla, and Erza walked up to the Lobster estate "hey I know this place" Lucy whispered as they walked through the fields "this is the lobster estate," she asked "did my dad move in with them," she asked

"Yeah," Wendy said, "happened about a month ago."

"So, Michelle," Lucy said, "was she really in a coma for eight years" Wendy had explained to the group about the infinity clock incident Ivan and Raven tail and everything else that had passed two months prior, which had them all saddened. "I can't believe it."

"it's no problem," Wendy admitted. "I'm sure she'll just be glad to see you again."

"And I have another cousin," Lucy asked.

"Yeah," Wendy confirmed, "little Katja, she might be here."

"But my dad," Lucy asked, "Is he alright."

"that's up in the air," Wendy admitted "he's been unwell for a while now from what I've heard," she said as she walked forward. "I've been over to heal him, but."

"Cousin Lucy," a voice screamed. A blur tackled the girl to the ground "you're alive," she said, tears coming from

"it's good to see you, Michelle," Lucy said as the girl stood up

"you're looking healthy," Wendy said. She noted the girl had gained some meat on her bones. She was no longer as skinny as she was two months ago "you been doing okay" Wendy asked

"You betcha," Michelle said as she stood up before looking back to Lucy "it's so good to see you again, Lucy."

"You too, Michelle," Lucy said "oh, and these are some of my friends," Lucy said, gesturing to everyone behind her.

"oh wait, let me guess," Michelle said, "pink hair checkered scarf that looks scaly" she rubbed her chin "you must be Natsu," she said as he waved to her, giving her a toothy grin "red hair and extremely pretty, you must be Erza," Michelle said to which the girl nodded "you're a blue cat, so I'm guessing you're Happy" she smiled "and that makes you Carla," she asked "wait a minute someone's missing" Michelle, "the guy without a shirt."

"Oh, Gray," Wendy said, "well, he is watching over Juvia," Wendy told her. "He wants to make sure she's okay."

"What happened with her" Michelle asked.

"She got messed up in a fight," Wendy admitted "she'll be fine," she said "how's Jude" Michelle's frowned at the question before looking at Lucy.

"His condition is only getting worse," she admitted, "though I'm sure seeing you will make him feel better, Lucy," she said as she turned away "come on, I'll take you to him," she said

"Okay," Lucy said as they walked to the house. As a little girl ran out, it was Katja.

"Hey," Natsu said, "she looks like Wendy did Seven years ago."

"No, she doesn't," Wendy grumbled

"She does," Erza came in "A mirror image if you ask me"

"Told you," Michelle said sticking out her tongue as Wendy grumbled puffing her cheeks as a pink tint

"Umm," Katja said, "nice to meet all of you" she smiled giving a quick bow "you must be friends with Wendy."

"Yep," Michelle smiled as she led them into the house. The house didn't stand out, just a tiny table with a couch in the middle of the living room with a stairway leading to the upstairs "Uncle Jude is upstairs, Lucy, the floor on the left be sure to knock, okay" Michelle said, "I'll let you have some privacy."

"Were here if you need us, Lucy," Erza said

"Aye," Happy called

"Yeah," Lucy said as she looked at the stairs, "thank you" she walked to the stairs fear was laced all over her body. Wendy had told her that he had been unwell for a while now that her healing magic couldn't seem to help him with whatever he had and seemed to be only making his condition worse, so she had to stop. Lucy came to the door. Her mind was going a mile a minute as she got ready to face her father, and hopefully for him to tell her that he was going to be okay, he would shake whatever this is, he would be up and about, and she wouldn't have to lose another parent and they would be able to fix their relationship she knocked on the door.

"Father, it's Lucy, may I come in."

"Lucy," the voice on the other side of the door said, "yes please" the door opened as Lucy told her father, he looked pale and sickly he was wrapped in blankets as he turned to her smiling "it really is you" he smiled at her." how have you been my dear," he asked.

"I," Lucy stopped, "you're okay."

"As okay as I can be," Jude said, sitting up as Lucy walked up to him before gripping him in a hug, shocking him though a smile came over his face as he hugged her back. "I'm so glad that you've finally come back," he told her "when I heard that you and your friends disappeared, I dropped everything to help find you, but" Jude looked away "by the time I had gotten back, the magic council had called off the search" Lucy could understand the magic council had said that the Lamia scale and Blue Pegasus need to be ready for the dark guide threat. Still, anyone who lived in magnolia knew what was really going on. The magic council wanted Fairy tail to stay missing.

"Sorry about that," she said, "didn't mean to make you."

"I wasn't too worried," Jude said. "I always had faith that you would return one day," he laughed, "that I would be able to see you one more time."

"You talk like I'm going to run off again," Lucy said "you're sick, so I gotta stay here and" Lucy stopped when he placed a hand on her face tears started to form in her eyes, he wiped them "you're going to be okay, right father" as Jude started to lay back down "you're going to pull through right."

"I haven't told Michelle this," Jude admitted, "or Katja, the poor thing, lost her parents when she was really young" he laughed. "I figured I'd use the time I have left." he stopped trying to catch his breath "to give her a happy home" he looked at Lucy "their good people Lucy, I know that you girls can at least take care of each other" Jude laughed "know that I'm proud of you" he smiled that "you are the pride of the Heartfilia name."

"Dad," Lucy muttered, tears forming in her eyes.

"You know," Jude said, "when your mother and I first started dating," he laughed, "she always made fun of me because I am habit of being late," he laughed. "I wonder if I'll be early this time."

"Come on, Dad," Lucy said "you need to pull through," Lucy cried as she fell to the bed "please, we need more time."

Jude looked at her smiling. "Lucy, I know that you can never forgive me for all I did" he looked up. "I know I pushed you away, but know that no matter what," he smiled at her. "I will always be watching over you," he said. "I love you, Lucy, never forget that"

"I love you too, daddy."

Three days later, Lucy, Michelle, and Katja stood before a grave that read Jude Heartfilia X746-X791. Next to it was the resting place of Layla's Heartfilia. Lucy wanted them to be next to each other her parents loved each other she would never deny that, so she wouldn't deny her father's last wish. She turned to see her friends all standing behind her, smiling at her.

"you guys didn't have to come," Lucy muttered.

"Of course, we did," Natsu said, "don't talk like that."

"Yes," Erza said, "we're family," she smiled, "and your pain is our pain."

"Thank you," Lucy muttered as she wiped her tears.

"Uncle Jude," Katja muttered, "he' with my mother and father now," she asked.

"Yeah," Michelle said

"He would want us to live right," she smiled, "so that when it comes time to see him again," she smiled, "we have so much to tell that it would make him happy, right" this got a laugh from Lucy.

"you're a smart kid, aren't ya," Lucy asked to which she nodded as she looked at the grave of both her parents placing the flowers down. She smiled as they started to leave. A thought came over her head "so, how did we pay for all this," Lucy asked.

"Zentopia," Wendy admitted

"Okay," Natsu asked, "how are you on good terms with Zentopia of all places," Natus asked.

"Oh, my," Wendy groaned, "I told ya'll about the infinity clock and all that."

"Yes," Lucy said

"You see, what happened was" Wendy started "after me, and the others took care of Raven tail," Wendy started to explain. "We found out that one of their members had cause him to have a mental breakdown, worse case I've ever seen," Wendy smiled "healed that too, anyway since that day, I've been a pretty good term with them," Wendy said "they agreed to help us with this so I can get that favor" Wendy used air quotes "off my chest."

"that's nice," Lucy laughed as they walked away.
