The group returned he from the zoo. Luz carried a bag with gifts for her family. A butterfly hairpin for Skara, two stuffed giraffes for the twins, and even a little gift her parents. A magnet with animals, each one having one of her parents' names.
"Oh Kittens! Thank you!" Odalia said to her daughter with a smile.
"I made sure that each animal represents one of you." Luz said, "For Mama, it's an owl, obviously. For Nini, it's a songbird because they're a great Bard. For you, it's an elephant because of how much you care about your children. For Mami, it's a wolf because, let's face it, she's the leader of the family."
"No argument there." Odalia said, giving Luz a kiss to the cheek.
"Now hold on, I think I hold the placement of head of this family." Eda suggested.
Camila walked up and put a hand on Eda's shoulder, making her freeze in place.
"What was that honey?" Camila asked.
"N-n-nothing, dear."
"Good." Camilia said before giving her a kiss on the cheek.
"So, I think that proves my point." Luz said, "Now, I have to go give the other's their gifts."
Pulling the key from around her neck, Luz returned it to Eda before rushing off with a hug or kiss from each of her parents. Luz still had to give the rest of their siblings their souvenirs.
She knocked on Skara's door.
"Oh, Skara, I have something for you."
A hustle was heard inside the room as someone scrabble to the door and it opened to reveal Skara.
"Oh! Hey, Luz. What's up?" She asked, nervous for some reason?
"Uh, I got you a hairpin at the Zoo. It's a butterfly, your favorite." Luz said, holding it up, "Are you okay in there?"
"Fine! Completely fine!" Skara said as she took the butterfly pin, blocking Luz from entering her room. "Thanks for the pin, Luz! It's really neat!"
Luz didn't look convinced.
"Skara, I'm the smartest person on the Isles, you know you can't lie to me. What are you hiding?"
"Nothing! Luz, you're being paranoid." Skara said until something fell in her room, making Skara freeze.
"Right…." Luz said before she pushed Skara in and forced herself in the room, shutting the door behind her.
Skara began to sweat a bit as she looked pasted Luz every now and then. Whatever it was behind her, Skara was really nervous about it.
"Skara, I'm waiting." Luz said to her.
Skara let out a sigh.
"Not the way I wanted to come out." Skara said, "I'm Pansexual."
Luz turned around and saw a girl on Skara's bed, under an open window.
"Hello, Catrina." Luz said.
Kat gave a shy wave.
"Hey, Luz. Hehehe." Kat said nervously.
"So, you're pansexual and Kat is your girlfriend. Cool. Cool." Luz said as she turned back to Skara. "So how long have two been dating?"
"N-n-not long, only a couple of months." Skara said, "You're not going to tell our parents are you?"
"About you being Pan or about you dating Catrina?" Luz asked.
"Both."
"No, these aren't my secrets to tell." Luz said, "If you don't want me to tell, then your secret is safe with me."
Skara and Kat let out sighs of relief, thankful that Luz was going to keep their secret. Especially since she was in a secret relationship with Boscha.
"Thank you, Luz." Skara said as she went towards Kat and cuddled with her in her bad.
"No problem, sis." Luz said with a smile, "But, both Amity and I came out to our parents, we all know they will be supportive of you."
"I know, but it's hard to gain the courage to do so."
Luz thought about this for a moment, thinking of something to help Skara.
"How about I confess with you? I'll tell them I have a girlfriend the same time you tell them about Kat." Luz said to her.
"Uh, are you sure that's a good idea?"
"Do you have a better idea then your little sister being there to take half the surprise?" Luz asked with a raised brow.
"No."
"That's what I thought." Luz said as she turned to leave the room. "Enjoy your time with your GF, Skara. And try not to make too much noise."
"Oh sure, joke about noise to a Bard witch." Skara said with an eye roll. "Ha ha ha."
Luz walked out of her room and over to the twin's little hangout, also known as an old room that doesn't get used for much. They use it for Illusion practice.
"Emira, Edric, I got you two something."
Walking into the room without knocking, Luz looked around for her oldest siblings to give them their surprise gifts.
'I can't wait to see their freak outs at the giraffes.' Luz thought with a smirk, holding the bag in her left hand.
The twins were using their illusions to hide from Luz so they can scare her. Luz looked around room for them as she crossed her arms, expecting and waiting for them.
"I know you're here; you can come out."
Two groans were heard as the twins appeared behind Luz and she turned to them.
"You can't really let us have our fun, can you?" Edric asked her with his arms crossed.
"Get some new material and you just might." Luz said as she held out the gift bags to them.
They take them and pull out the stuffed giraffes.
"Ed, look at this!" Emira said, holding her stuffed giraffe.
"This is cool!" Edric said, "Thanks baby sis."
"Wait, you're not afraid of giraffes?" Luz asked them in surprise.
"Why would we? We've thought these things were cool ever since we read about them!" Emira said to Luz, hugging her giraffe plushie.
"You're the best sister ever!" They said as they hugged her.
