Hey fairy tail fans, here's the last filler esque chapter of this arc and our Christmas special chapters, and this time it's something special I wanted to do something unique, and a few chapters ago in the magic dance ball episode, I mentioned how Natsu and Lisanna went to a dance, and that was how Natsu learned how to dance. I figured why not give that episode some context, and it would be an excellent way to close out before we get into the craziness that is the grand magic games arc so that the chapter for the day hope you enjoy

It was a quiet day on the Lobster estate as we found our hero's helping around the house "thank you for helping us, Lucy," Michelle said as Lucy walked back up the house. "I know it's a lot of work, but I want to restore this place," she said, "so it means a lot that you agreed to help."

"of course," Lucy said, "we are family," she said, "as she patted Katja on the head, "so we have to help each other" she smiled as she soon heads shouting, she looked over to see Erza in what she assumed was a farmers outfit walking with Natsu, Gray, Wendy, Happy, and Carla "what's going on."

"Gray doesn't understand role appreciation" Erza shouted

"We aren't farmers, and no way in hell I'm wearing that," Gray shouted back

"But I hand-picked these outfits for all of you," Erza said, "it was meant to get us ready for this job."

"I don't know why," Wendy muttered, "not like Gray wears clothes in the first place."

"Hey, yes I do," Gray shouted in his underwear.

"you're naked right now," Carla said, shocking the boy making him jump in shock as he ran off to find his clothes. Lucy shook her head as she removed her hands from the front of a confused Katja's eyes.

"Why does he strip all the time," she asked.

"We have no idea," everyone said, getting a laugh from Michelle

A fairy tail of the past

'So why don't you guys come inside and relax" Michelle asked as she led the group inside "and I think your outfits look lovely, Erza," she said

"Yes, thank you," Erza said "getting one for Natsu was hard cause I had to find one that went well with his scarf, but in the end, I feel it was worth it in helping us fully enjoy this experience," she said as Natsu sat down.

"Awe, that's so sweet," she said as she noticed Natsu had something "what that's"

"Oh, just that photo of Lisanna and me," Natsu laughed. "Mavis gave it to me."

"woah," Katja said, "you look lovely."

"Yeah," Natsu said

"You know," Gray said, "you never told us about that."

"Yeah," Lucy said, "the job that you and Lisanna went on that had you to learn how to dance."

"Can you please" Wendy and surprisingly Katja said, giving him their best puppy dog eyes, making him groan

"Put the waterworks away," Natsu said. "I guess I could tell it."

"yes"

"Now, this happened when we were both. I think fourteen or fifteen when it happened."

Flashback

"Natsu," the voice of Lisanna rang through the pub as the boy looked over to the girl who ran up to him, "are you ready for today."

"Ready for what," Natsu asked

"don't tell me you forgot," Lisanna said, anger evident on his face as Natsu tried to hide his grin "you jerk," she said as Natsu let out a laugh, "that wasn't funny, ya know."

"Yes, it was, " Natsu said, trying to hide his laughter

"Aye"

Lisanna sighed at her two best friends' antics "you should feel lucky; I like the both of you," she said, "and since you wanted to have a sense of humor, I get to pick today's; job," Lisanna said triumphantly.

"But Lisanna" Natsu said

"Too bad," Lisanna pulled out a small job, "there's this criminal that's said to be stealing jewelry from this high-priced dance ball," Lisanna said, "so not only will we get to dance the night away, but we also get paid for it," she said

"You had this planned, didn't you," Natsu asked

"Maybe," Lisanna retorted

"She likes you," Happy teased

"Shut it, cat," Natsu shouted

"Well, we have two days until we have to head out," Lisanna said "so I just wanted to make sure you know how to dance right," Lisanna asked "we don't want to embarrass ourselves in front of everybody," she reasoned as Natsu grew an offended look on his face.

"of course, I know how to dance," Natsu argued, "what kind of loser do you take me for."

"Oh," Lisanna said, "well okay," she smiled, "see you then, I need to pick out a dress" she smiled as she left him there as Natsu sat down, letting out a defeated sigh.

"You were lying through your teeth," a voice called shocking Natsu. He turned to see Cana had taken a seat next to him. giving him a devious grin

"How do you know," Natsu asked as she turned to face him, giving him a look "what reason would I have to lie to Lisanna."

"Because you love her," Happy teased

"Shut it," Natsu said

"Hey, don't hate the cat," Cana said, "for he speaks the truth" this was enough to get a slight blush from Natsu as he turned his head away in defiance "don't give me that look," Cana said "you knew we're telling the truth," Cana said leaning in close "you like her"

"Shut it," Natsu said, looking away, "and I know how to dance."

"Really," Cana asked

"Okay, fine, you caught me," Natsu said

"Ya see," Cana said, "isn't telling the truth invigorating," trying to hide her laugh as she looked him over "trust me, this going to go well for the two of you." she said, "the cards have spoken."

"But I still can't dance," Natsu admitted, "maybe they have a learning kit."

"there's one in the storage room," the voice of Mavis rang through the room." Mavis looked over, smiling at Natsu, "take the keys from the back."

"Why is everyone getting in on this" Natsu grumbled out

"Cause you two are adorable," Mavis said as Natsu grumbled again, standing up

"Well, I better get started," Natsu whispered as he started to leave "come on, Happy," Natsu said

"Aye"

"What was that about," Mira asked

"Oh nothing," Mavis said, "just Natsu and Lisanna going on a job," she told her.

"I see, "Mira said as she watched the fire wizard leave the pub. A smile came over her face "well. It's about time, you two," she muttered as she laid her head down

hours later. Natsu had fallen over, landing on the ground as he kept tripping over his feet as he stood up, shaking his head as Happy laughed at him, "I want to see you come down here and try this furball."

"Hey, I don't have to dance," Happy argued back, "but you're totally going to make a fool of yourself," he said between laughs.

"Shut it, cat," Natsu screamed again. Little did he know that Mira had come into the house seeing Natsu. She smiled as she leaned against the door frame as she watched Natsu stubble over himself, trying to dance as she stifled a laugh.

"You look like you've got fire ants in your bum," Mira teased

"Ah Mira, "Natsu screamed, falling over "very funny," Natsu said as he stood up " buzz of Happy's teasing is enough," he said as he turned away

"Come on. You trust me, don't you," Mira said a

"Trust you to make me look like an idiot."

"Not like you need my help with that dragon breath," Mira grumbled "now get over yourself," Mira said, "and give me your hands" Natsu looked at her before letting out a defeated sigh as he took her hands. "Now," Mira said as she placed his hand on her waist, "the most important thing is, don't step on her toes" she smiled "other than that, you should be fine" as they started to dance "forward-back," Mira instructed

"Since, when do you know how to dance," Natsu asked

"Aye," Happy said, "you're better at this than I thought, Mira."

"I picked it up because I was bored one day," Mira admitted. Getting curious looks from the pair, she shook her head "not important," she said as they danced around.

"Hey, I think I'm getting the hang of it," Natsu said to which Mira smiled. The sound of a camera going off made both stop where they stood.

"Aw, that's so sweet," Mavis said, a sly grin on her face as she smiled at the pair. "you two are so cute," Mavis teased as Mira shoved Natsu away, turning away a pink tint going on her face.

"We weren't doing anything," Mira argued.

"Sure," Mavis said as she pulled out the photo, "nothing at all."

"Destroy that this instant," Mira screamed,

"Not on your life." Mavis teased, "I'm definitely putting this somewhere."

"Mavis," the pair screamed as Mavis let out a laugh

"Wow, sis," Elfman said, "never took you for a dancer."

"I will kill you," Mira cried as Elfman laughed at her

"Ouch," Natsu said, standing up, "why did you have to push me like that."

"Shut it, dragon breath," Mira screamed "besides, we're not done; you are not going to make my baby sister look like a fool tomorrow, do I make myself clear" she screamed at him holding him up by his shirt.

"Yes, ma'am," Natsu said in fear.

"Now come on," Mira said, "we need to buy you a nice suit for tomorrow."

"Wait Mira, no," Natsu screamed "come on, big sis," Natsu screamed as Mira dragged him out of the house. "Elfman, don't sit there laughing ya big jerk. Help me," he shouted as Elfman shook his head. He knew better than to get in the way of his sister when she had her mind on something. He gave Natsu an apologetic look as the poor dragon slayer was dragged out of the tiny house. Mavis and Elfman could still hear his shouting from outside until Mira let out a loud scream and then a clap as Natsu's voice went silent.

"Mavis," Elfman said, "are you sure you shouldn't do something about that."

"Oh, she wouldn't hurt him," Mavis responded. Another slap soon rang through the air as Elfman raised an eyebrow "possibly."

A few days later, Natsu, Lisanna, and Happy all appeared in front of the building. It was a large dome that seemed to be made of marble "woah," Lisanna said, "this place is beautiful." she said as someone came to the front door.

"You must be the wizards we hired" she was a woman of average height. She smiled at the pair as she looked them over " please come in. We have much to discuss," she said as they followed her inside. as they followed her, "my name is Rio, by the way."

"Oh, I'm Natsu Dragneel," Natsu said

"And I'm Lisanna," Lisanna told her, smiling

"And I'm Happy," Happy said, flying between them

"As you know," Rio said, "my family plans on hosting our grand magic ball this year" she smiled. "However, there is a rumor that there is a plot to steal the grand jewel," she admitted "my father doesn't wish to cancel the ceremony," she said, "so he wanted some wizards to be nearby in case someone shows up to ruin the events."

"We understand," Lisanna said

"Good," Rio said as they came into a room where two men seemed to be arguing.

"I'm telling you the only way is to cancel the ball," he argued

"we've been planning this all year, "the other argued, "to cane so soon would reflect badly on us."

"Father," Rio said, "uncle, the wizards you hired have arrived."

"Awe yes," the man said, pushing past the man next to him "my name is Gabe Welsh," he said, "and I take it my daughter has caught you all up to speed."

"Yeah," Natsu said

"We understand," Lisanna said, giving a wink, "there is the matter of our payment."

"Yes, yes," Gabe said, "four hundred thousand jewels as promised on the flyer."

"What," the man asked, "why are you paying so much, "he asked. "I'm telling you we should go to a guild with this plight, not solo wizards."

"A guild will draw attention to this problem. We want this to stay as under the radar as possible. as the man threw his arms up in defense, leaving the room and a confused Natsu and Lisanna "don't mind him he thinks that we're just paranoid" he let out a laugh "I thank you both for helping me here."

"No problem," Lisanna said, "we are allowed to dance, right."

"of course," the man said,

"Perfect," Lisanna said

"Yay," Natsu muttered half-heartedly as the man handed them something. It was a small business card. it had unique sent Natsu noted

"Please hold onto this during your stay, will you." he smiled and said that our family employs you, so the servants don't give you trouble."

Hours later. Once night had finally set in, Lisanna came out in a tank top with crossed straps with a longer skirt. she did a light turn as she looked in the mirror, fixing her hair a bit. 'I hope I look okay,' she wondered.

"My," someone said. She turned to see what she would describe as a sleazy rich boy walk up to her "did you come from heaven, angel" he asked as she tried to touch her, only for Lisanna to block the hand, pushing it away "what the matter doll he made another attempt to touch her only for Natsu had to come out gripping it."

"Do you mind," Natsu said, "you're making my friend uncomfortable" they grumbled something but had enough sense to walk away as Natsu walked up to Lisanna

"Never took you for the jealous type," Lisanna teased

"I'm not, but I could tell you weren't comfortable," Natsu said

"I'm a big girl. I can take care of myself." Lisanna argued as the pair walked outside to the dance floor that was a blue and white color, multiple stands had floated above the ground Lisanna shook her head "wanna go up there."

"Naw," Natsu said, "that stomach thing I have going on is starting to get worse."

"Really," Lisanna asked.

"Yeah," Natsu looked away at the people dancing on the ground "come on," Natsu smiled, "let's enjoy ourselves. We need to blend in, right."

"Aye," Happy said

"I guess," Lisanna said as she took Natsu's hand, he pulled her close as they started dancing "woah," Lisanna muttered, "you weren't lying when you said you could dance," she admitted

"Actually," Natsu admitted, "Mira taught me," he said

"Knew it," Lisanna said "you are a terrible liar, you know that"

"Yeah," Natsu said as they continued to dance, "sorry."

"its" Lisanna stopped, a rugged look coming over her face "what's that," she asked as they turned. Natsu got a good look at the pair. They were wearing masks as they looked around nervously. It seemed strange to him "you see that," Lisann whispered.

"Aye," he looked at Happy. He nodded as the feline flew up, going to get a birds-eye view as they walked to the center where a large diamond was sitting. He smiled as they walked up. The pair seemed to be dancing over to it. He motioned for Natsu and Lisanna; however, before anyone could move, the couple jumped up, going for the diamond landing as everyone stopped glass crushing.

"You have been struck."

"By the dynamic dancing duo."

"The dancer's robbers," they screamed as everyone stopped "now everyone here hands over your valuables or else," one shouted as they pulled out knives "none of you can fight," he said as he looked at Natsu and Lisanna, who didn't look scared in the slightest "hey I said get down."

"Finally," Natsu said, cracking his knuckles, "an excuse to punch something."

"Oh yeah," the man said, "take this" he shot out his fire magic, to which Natsu smiled as he opened his mouth, consuming the fire, making sure not if harmed anyone.

"Man, that was a good meal," he said, "now I got a fire in a belly."

"{animal soul: nine-tailed fox}." Lisanna screamed as she slowly changed her appearance turned into a humanoid form of a mythical creature, the nine-tailed fox. she is primarily humanoid, sporting fox ears, fur on her forearms, foxlike claws on her hands, and grown nine tails with each of them resemble that of a foxtail she smiled "looks like we have our guys Natsu" she then rushed forward landing a punch one of them as they jumped back

"Wait, these guys are wizards," one asked.

"You bet," Natsu said he jumped over one "{Fire dragons: iron fist}" Natsu screamed as he punched him into the ground sending him back.

"{fox: punch}" Lisanna screamed as she took the other one down, landing next to Natsu. As they landed on the floor, the diamond flying up, Happy grabbed it before landing on the ground smiling.

"that's what happens when you mess with the fire animal due," Happy bragged as everyone around them started clapping. Rio ran up to them. Natsu smiled as he took the diamond from Happy, handing it to her with a smile.

"Man, that was easy," Natsu said, but a smell went to his nose, picking something up. He looked it over "what's this"

"Nothing," the man screamed as Natsu slammed him into the ground "it's the business card we received to take the job."

"That smell," Natsu said "it smells just like"

"I told you this would happen," a voice called the group turned to see Gabe and his brother walking up to them "now look, these low lives have," he stopped when Natsu tossed something at him "what is this"

"Look familiar," he asked

"Wait, that's," Rio said

"How could you," Gabe asked

"Mother and father always favored you," he said. "I deserved that heirloom."

Gabe said nothing walking up to Natsu "thank you."

a few hours later, the rune knights had arrived, arresting the pair who apparently had a pretty high bounty on their head. As Gabe and Rio watched them leave, they turned back, looking at Natsu and Lisanna. They were standing watch, making sure that they were taken away.

"That must hurt," Lisanna muttered, "and now the dance is ruined" Lisanna let out a sigh.

"I think people are still dancing," Natsu said. "And if you want," he looked away, embarrassment coming over his face, "I won't mind," a blush appearing on his face.

"Natsu," Lisanna said

"Wait, you promised to give me fish," Happy screamed

"Later," the pair told the blue feline as he deflated. The pair walked inside, where people were starting to get back to the festivities of the dance up smiling at each other; they started to dance along with the others "thank you, Natsu," Lisanna said, "you have no idea how much this means to me."

"Yeah," Natsu said, "maybe we could try more jobs like this," Natsu said as Lisanna touched their foreheads together. a smile forming on her lip as they continued to dance

"Yeah, I'd like that."

End Flashback

"Awe, what a sweet story," Michelle said

"Yeah," Natsu smiled. It had been a while since he thought about that job. While it may have been simple, but he still enjoyed it "we did a lot more jobs and then ended up in that magic dance competition," he smiled "how we won is a mystery to me, but it was fun."

"Can you tell us more stories?" Katja asked, giving Natsu her best puppy dogs eyes.

"I guess," Natsu said it was nice to have this moment with each other he had heard from Mavis that they would be moving in a few days. He might as well enjoy the quiet before the storm started. He knew that when it did happen that they would probably, and it would be a while before they were able to have a moment like this where they were all together and could tell stories, he smiled "yeah, I could tell a few more before we have to go back."

"All right," Wendy said

"I must admit that story was a bit interesting," Carla said

"Okay, I'll get us some snacks," Michelle said as they all got ready for the night. Simply enjoying each other company would be enough for them.

I have a plan for it, and I think it's shaping up, but there are a few things I'm sorting out; but for now, let's get into the arc cause I've BS these chapter-long enough.

On a grassy plain, two men stood in complete silence, the air blowing in the wind one sat on a rock, a smile on his face. He looked up, thinking that what he heard through had few grapevines, and honestly, a part of him was excited at the prospect of these rumors being true. It would be fun for him and his partner. He looked at his friend, who still had yet to say anything "you hear" he asked, getting the man's attention, "they say fairy tail is back.

"I don't care," the man said

"Right," he replied. "I used to think he was so cool," he smiled "man, seven years."

"It was long ago."
