Hey fairy tail fans, and welcome back to a fairy tail re-told, to today we begin fairy tail: the grand magic games. And yes, I have an idea for what is the longest arc in the series. I have split it in two, the first half being the grand magic games stuff the second arc being the eclipse gate arc stuff, all of which will be explained when I hit that point in the story. But we are getting into one of the best arcs in fairy tail. While it may not be my personal favorite, it still is a fun ride, and I hope you all enjoy it.

In the center of Magnolia sits the guild known as Twilight Oger. The guildhall showed an impressive building that leads to a massive gate, richly ornamented. At the top, the building is decorated with a pair of giant horns and several spikes on the roof, waving a flag with the guild symbol. Today we find Mavis, Natsu, and Mira sitting with the current guild master, a middle-aged man, having a shaved face with a haircut resembling a military one. He has a broad jaw, wide lips, and a thick nose. His thin eyebrows reach up into his hair, and he wears tinted glasses. He was wearing a yellow-green pinstriped suit and pants with a purple cape over the outfit with a button with the Twilight Ogre emblem. He is seen smoking a cigar. "Look, doll," he started as he sat across the room from Mavis, "I don't know what you want with my higher-ups, but you and your pals aren't worth his time of day."
"I see," Mavis said. This meeting had been going on for hours at this point, and to be honest, it had gotten them nowhere. She doubted that twilight Oger could support itself, so she figured that she and the children could find the head and maybe talk this out "well then," Mavis made a move to leave.
"Now hold up," said Banaboster. behind him, Thibault and his goons stood "you and your friends have we met before."
"Nowhere important," Mavis said "we just want some information," she said as Banaboster smiled as Mavis started to stand up "come kids," Mavis said, "let's go."
"Now hold up," Thibault said, "your wizards aren't you" he smiled, "we can't let you leave there a tax that comes with the coming into" he stopped when a sudden growing power entered the air. Mavis turned around, and color started to drain from his face as Natsu and Mira began to unleash their magic power.
"What was that," they asked
"nothing"
Sabertooth
"Man," Natsu groaned as he and Mira followed behind Mavis "that meeting was pointless," he groaned out. The trio had returned to Magnolia to get a good look at the guild known as Twilight Oger, and well, it went about as well as one would expect. They got no information other than how wonderful guild life is and all the benefits they could have by joining the guild. if they wanted to know that they would have gone to Lyon, "that had to be the most pointless thing we've ever done," he said as he and Mira followed behind Mavis
"Well, there was the free writing thing we did a few years back," Mira said. "I would never have guessed how well the magnolia education system was" this got a laugh out of Mavis as they followed her. They are were in a long hallway leading to the basement of the old fairy pub "are you sure this is the okay master" Mavis asked, "the place has been condemned."
"Yes," Mavis said, "it's a failsafe if we were to go missing" Mavis admitted the place had started to fall apart due to having no one keep up the maintance for the past seven years. It hurt her heart to see this place in such a state. "This place will be ours again one day."
"I didn't even know we had a basement," Natsu said
"you're not the only one," Mira said. "I've cleaned this place from top to bottom, and I've never seen this place" she ran her finger along with some dust that had accumulated along the walls "lord knows how long it would take to clean down here," Mira said "not to mention the rest of the place"
"No need," Mavis said "no one is to come down here other than the three of us," Mavis continued forward "right now, I just need to check on something."
"You still haven't told us where we're going," Natsu said
"In time," Mavis said as they reached the end of the steps, "honestly, I should have told you this years ago," Mavis admitted. "I" Mavis stopped the words failing her before stopping as they came into the room it was smooth stone all around on the floor was the mark of Mavis, not a sound was made as the trip walked into the room "know that what you are about to see will be troubling" Mavis admitted as she turned to face them "a part of me hoped that I would never have to show you this but" Mavis let out a breath of air "you two of all people deserve to know the truth," she said as she waved her hand as the door opened.

"What is" Natsu and Mira stood in shock. The amount of magic power they felt from the room was astounding; it made Tenrou Island seem small by comparison.
"This," Mavis started as she turned to face them, "is our greatest secret" she smiled "the source of our strength, it is simply known as the Lumen Histoire" she shook her head "or as I like to call it, the fairies' heart," Mavis said
"I've never felt so much," Mira said
"There's not an end in sight either," Natsu muttered
"I have deceived you, my children," Mavis said. "I do hope you can forgive me, however, with Ivan still out there. We have little to no choice whatever it takes we must gain Magnolia back if we are forced to put a guild of our own here, then so be it," Mavis said, "but the fairy heat cannot fall into the wrong hands," Mavis said, "it's far too valuable."
"This our true purpose."
"So, we're going after Bandits," Gajeel asked, "and you brought your cousin along," he said
"Hey, she wanted to see how wizards work, and this was Erza's idea." Lucy shot back
"I promise not to get in the way," Michelle said
"it's fine," Erza said
"They say these bandits are so bad that their victims suffer from night terrors," Gray said, "no one is taking this job because of that."
"Well, it's an effective way to get some cash." Lucy said "and these days we need all the money we can get"
"Alright, here's the plan," Erza said as she walked to a wagon that was behind them. "Lucy and I will try and tempt the bandits into robbing us," Erza explained, "while Gray Gajeel and Michelle hide in the back, while Lucy and I try to distract them with our feminine wiles, you and Gajeel take out as many as you can."
"Are you crazy" Gajeel shouted, "no way in hell I'm getting in that thing."
"Oh, so you object to my plan, do you," Erza said, a dark smile coming over her face as she faced the dragon slayer "that's a gutsy move."
"Beat me up all you want, I ain't going," Gajeel said standing his ground
"what's his problem," Michelle asked.
"Like Natsu and Wendy, Gajeel here is not too good with anything on wheels," Lucy told her.
"If you want," Michelle said, "I can take the part of bait, so you have two on the back."
"Yeah," Gajeel said, "and Lily and I will be air support."
"Are you sure, Michelle?" Lucy asked
"of course," Michelle said, "also this way, I won't get in the way too much" she smiled, "I think I can pass as a damsel in distress" she gave her a grin, "and if things go wrong, you'll be there."
"I guess," Lucy said she was worried about her cousin. She wasn't much of a fighter. but she had convinced everyone else here, so a few moments later, the two sat in front of the car with Gajeel flying behind them in the bushes. Soon figures stood smiling as they saw the cart going by, which came to a stop "right," Lucy whispered, "don't; leave my side," she whispered as the bandits surrounded her.
"Oh, thank goodness," Lucy moaned, "we were lost, and I figure you big strong men could show us the way," she said, showing some of her cleavages.
"Please," one of the bandits said, "let's get the cargo before I get sick."
"Yeah, my skin is way clearer than that."
"You tell em, girl."
"I think my self-esteem just died, again" Lucy groaned as the bandits went into the back, only to be blown away as Erza kicked away the curtains.
"you fiends," she screamed. "I was up all night planning that," she shouted as she put on her purgatory armor," a dark grin coming on her face "know you will feel my wrath."
"you bandits aren't getting anyone," Gray shouted, only for the bandits all to jump at him "wait, what" he screamed as they were kicked again by Erza
"You made me break a nail."
"Fear not," another bandit said
"Big sis"
"I will" he was stopped when an iron club hit him, knocking him out.
"of course," Lucy said, "the one time I want to use my girlish charms," Lucy said, still crying into Michelles' arm.
"You will all feel my wrath," Erza screamed as she continued to attack the rest of the bandits.
"Do you think we should calm her down," Gray asked.
"Naw," Gajeel said, "I want to live to see my forties at least
"Same," Lily added
"I won't take this," Lucy screamed, getting everyone's attention as she pulled out one of her keys "you will all feel my wrath," she called "{open gate of the sea-goat: Capricorn}" Lucy shouted as Capricorn appeared "pound these guys until they see stars.
"As you wish," Capricorn shouted as he joined Erza in beating up the bandits as Lucy let out an evil laugh.
"Lucy, you're scaring me," Michelle muttered as she watched her cousin give out an evil laugh which made both Gray and Gajeel deadpanned as the two women went to town on the bandits.
after the job had calmed down, their group had found themselves heading back to Shirotsume "so Michelle," Erza asked "did you enjoy the job" she asked
"Well, it was an experience," Michelle said, "you all are amazing." she smiled as she followed them, looking back as she watched the knights gather the bandits so they could be transported smiling. "I'm not one to get into being a wizard, but I've always wanted to see it up close.
"Yeah," Gray said, "it never a dull life," Gray admitted as they watched the rune knights take away the bandits.
"Yeah," Lucy said, "this was fun," while at first, she was worried about letting her cousin tag along with her on the job, she had to admit that it was nice to spend time doing what she loved with her cousin though she "I wouldn't mind doing it again."
"Really," Michelle asked with stars in her eyes.
"Now hold your horses," Lucy said. "Jobs can be dangerous so that it won't be anything too crazy," Lucy said, turning away.
"Awe come on," Michelle said
"I've made my point," Lucy said
"Come on. We should back get back," Erza said, trying to hide her smile at the two's antics. "Mavis and the others should be back by the time we get there."
"And thank you again for letting me tag along," Michelle said
"As I said, no problem," Erza said, "you were a significant help."
"She was alright," Gajeel admitted
"that's Gajeel, for he was impressed," Lily told her
"Shut it, cat," Gajeel said as everyone let out a laugh
"Alright," Wendy said as she was going over Juvia, who was still in recovery, "make a fist please," she instructed as the girl followed her instruction "okay," Wendy said as she overlooked Juvia, "good reflexes," she muttered
"Juvia is feeling a lot better today," Juvia mentioned, "her sense of taste has finally come back."
"That's good," Carla said as she held a notepad, "though I would say not to let her on any jobs yet," she said as Juvia deflated.
"But Juvia wants to go on a job with Gray," Juvia muttered
"There will be jobs," Wendy said, "but right now, I need to make sure that there are no long-lasting effects."
"Juvia understands," Wendy smiled as she patted the girl on the head
"Come on, let us get you some food," she said as she helped Juvia to her feet. She smiled as she led her downstairs "hey Miko, more soup" the woman nodded as the doors opened as Laki walked in holding an envelope in her hands
"you guys know what time it is," she said as Natsu, Erza, Lucy, Gray, Gajeel, and Lily walked in
"what's going on," Lucy asked.
"The bounty boards have been updated," Alzack asked
"Favorite time of the month," Bisca said
"Might I ask what all the fuss is about," Gildarts asked
"Something about a bounty board," Cana said
"Yeesh," Miko said "yes, it's this thing that guild masters started doing after Magnolia fell," Miko explained "wizards of a certain power of value to the guild system are ranked, and a bounty is placed on their heads, any wizards that can turn them in are given a reward" Miko sighed.
"That sounds cruel," Cana said
"Yeah," Miko said, "but from what I gather solo wizards to take it with pride," she said, "and clients who want solo wizards due to how cheap ya'll are, use it to determine which wizards to track down," she smiled "last time I looked it was Wendy who was at the top."
"Yep," Kinana added, "up till now, Wendy was the most sought-after wizard in Fiore," she smiled, "but now that Fairy tail is back in full force that might change."
"Well, what are you waiting for? Let's see," Wendy asked as Laki opened the packet, smiling as she looked over the paper as all the wizards present crowded around the girl with curious looks
"Look at that babe; we went up," Bisca said. "I think the infinity clock incident got guilds searching for all parties involved."
"Yeah," Alzack said he and Bisca were now both had a price of 700,000 jewels "man, we must be on their radar."
"I finally broke the 500,000," Laki screamed "yes."
"you guys are getting into this," Lucy said
"Yeah," Laki said, "the higher their bounty, the more likely clients are to track you down for a job."
"It sorta the way we get things done over the years," Alzack said
"And look like you are on it too," Wendy said as she showed them the paper, they crowded up to her "from bottom to top Juvia is ranked 10th right now at 320,000 jewels," Wendy said "for a former member of Phantom that's pretty low" as Juvia sunk into a black mist "next is Lucy at ninth for 325,000 jewels."
"Really," Lucy said as Juvia glared at her
"How is she worth more than me" Juvia screamed
"Calm down," Gajeel said, as he patted her on the head "you'll probably go up when you start going on jobs again."
"You are up next, Gray," Wendy said, getting the maker wizard's attention, "your third actually for 800,000."
"Wow," Gray said, "wait, who's the top two."
"Right now, it's" Wendy looked over. "Elfman is second place," she said as the man walked up to her, looking over her shoulder with a smile on his face "you're worth 850,000."
"Cause I'm a real man," Elfman shouted as Mira laughed behind him.
"And right now, number one is" Wendy paused for dramatic effect. "Cana Alberona ranked one for 900,000 jewels," Wendy said "damn girl, what have you been doing for the past few weeks," she asked as the girl smiled at her.
"Me and dad here have been on a work binge if you haven't noticed," she said, a smirk growing on her face.
"Hey, anything to spend time with my baby girl," Gildarts said, "and look at you already top of the competition. that's my girl," Gildarts screamed
"Come on, Dad, you're smothering me," Cana screamed.
"Wait a minute," Lucy said "what about Natsu, Erza, Mira, and Gajeel," she asked, "you aren't even on this."
"Yeah," Cana said, "I thought Wendy was top dog on this weird leader board wanted poster thing."
"oh well," Wendy said, "I never said we were done," Wendy said, "that was the normal ranking if a wizard could get you to join a guild, they would be given a reward" she smiled as she took out another paper "up next is the real party" Wendy smiled "before we couldn't do anything cause I was the only one listed, but now we have the S-ranked bounties."
"S-ranked," everyone asked.
"We're wizards who are S-class worthy," Wendy said. "They created this ranking once you truly hit the one million marks."
"So, then that means," Lucy asked.
"Yep, if they're not on there," Wendy said, "there on this one," she said as she looked over the paper.
"So how much are you worth now," Alzack asked as Wendy counted on the paper
"there's about six of us," Wendy said, "five because we have a tie in there as well," Wendy said "last place in fifth is" Wendy stopped the name here had he confused so she "Kinana," Wendy said as the girl looked up.
"Yeah," she answered
"No, you're on here," Wendy said
"I am," Kinana said
"Since when do you use magic," Mira asked "and why haven't you told me"
"Umm," Kinana looked away. A part of her forgets that she, too, did work with Wendy to deal to take down the infinity clock "it must have slipped my mind." she felt embarrassed as Mira towered over her
"Anyway, that is pretty high for someone who just hit the scene," Alzack said
"Ahh," Wendy said, "says here you're my accomplice, so your worth just as much as me a straight million," she said
"I feel honored," Kinana joked as Miko rolled her eyes. which made Mavis laugh.
"I'm going to start charging you two double rent for all thee shenanigans you cause" Miko said "in fact, I might use your current bounty price" she said using air quotes as the current fee
"oh come on Miko" the girls whined as Miko laughed
"Anyway Gajeel is next," Wendy said getting her fellow Dragon slayers attention as he walked up to her "right now guilds are willing to pay 1,200,000," Wendy said
"well I was phantoms, top man, "Gajeel said "so it figures those sissies would be willing to pay a high price for someone of my skill" he bragged "this is the high road kid," Gjaeel said as Juvia deflated
"Juvia was an S-class wizard to" she groaned
"Let see next up is me," Wendy said
"Gone are the days of your rain as the most wanted wizard in Fiore," Bisca said, being as dramatic as she could "how the mighty have fallen," she said giving Wendy a teasing grin
"Shut up," Wendy said "right now, I'm at 2,500,000" she smiled "man, not much of a leap as I thought it would be "
"Aye," Happy said, "your good Wendy."
"Yeah," Alzack said, "Wendy healing magic and strength have all the guild wizards in a frenzy," he explained "she's sorta the new Salamander around," he smiled, "speaking of which where is Natsu on that list."
"we're getting there," Wendy said "next is Erza," she said as Erza looked over her shoulder. "you're worth three million," she told her.
"Well, it is good to know my skills are worth something." Erza said "but that seems like a little much"
"Yeah yeah, rub it in, "Gray muttered
"you'll get there eventually, Gray."
"Next is Natsu and Mira," Wendy said "it a tie mostly due to association similar to Alzack and Bisca," she said, "I guess they have you pegged Mira; you both are worth four million," Wendy said
"Four million," Lucy screamed. "I know you guys are strong, but man."
"Yes," Erza said, "you two have caused trouble in the past, though" Erza smiled at the memory back when Natsu and Mira were both unnamed wizards who were capable of avoiding the magic council "they have a reputation but I'm surprised that there not at the top
"Yeah," Gray muttered, "who's at the top anyway."
"Gildarts," Wendy said with little effort as the man let out a laugh,
"Looks like we're two for two Cana," he screamed. "Drinks are on me."
"Oh boy," Miko said
"I'll get the barrel," Kinana said
"With as much money as you are worth," Laki said, "you should be careful Sabertooth might start hunting you."
"Sabertooth," Lucy asked, "who's that."
"There, one of the new top guilds," Laki said as she pulled out another paper and a small pin.
"Yeah," Romeo said, walking up to them. He and his dad just arrived in the pub "they are the guys who took over Magnolia."
"Well, that's half right," Wendy said, "twilight Oger took Magnolia soon after they struck an agreement with Sabertooth, and their master put them under the guild."
"Who exactly is Sabertooth" Mavis asked
"Well," Laki said, she finished writing the current guild map, "as you know after your victory over phantom lord. The guilds were scattered and broken, especially after Mystogen," Laki informed them, "but two guilds rose from the ashes of that battle. Those two guilds were Mermaid heel and Sabertooth."
"It started a while after you disappeared," Kinana said "they got a new master, then five powerful wizards joined, and that was all she wrote"
"So, wait, they were under phantom," Lucy asked.
"Yeah," Laki said as she pulled out two pictures, "this is their master, Jiemma Orland" he was
"Hey, I know that creepy glare anywhere," Gajeel said
"So do I," Juvia said as she finished eating her food, "he was master Jose's assistant and phantoms sixth S-class wizard," Juvia said. "Juvia also heard that before we were forced to disband that he was next in line to become guild master."
"Yeah," Gajeel said
"Wait, I thought Gajeel was phantom, top man," Lucy said
"I was," Gajeel said, "but why would you let your attack dog off his leash," he said
"Gajeel," Natsu said
"Naw," Gajeel said, "it's all right, I've come to terms with what I was in phantom," he admitted, "but this man," he looked at the photo, "he was a different don't know why but there was this air about him" shaking his head "he was master Jose favorite from what I gather," Gajeel admitted
"So, this Sabertooth is what we have to go through to get Magnolia back," Mavis asked
"Magnolia is a hot spot right now," Wendy admitted "it's history as the city of magic, and the fact the wizards there bested Phantom" shaking her head "might be why Twilight Orger is able to get away with all the shady stuff they do in town"
"Alright," Natsu said "five wizards," he whispered
"I wonder who they are."
In a grassy plain, two men sat. One whore wore a dark blue, gold-trimmed jacket, as well as a black, high-collared piece of armor underneath, exposing, yet again, his abdominals. With this, Sting wore light-gray colored pants with fang-like designs on the side; he accessorized his outfit with two different belts: one around his waist and one below that that holds a feather boa. His pants are tucked inside boots smiled as he continued to reminisce. "It takes you back, doesn't it" he muttered "last time you saw him, you came up to hear" he held his arm up before letting out a small laugh. "I never really cared much for him; he was scary."
"I don't care," another man said. He was wearing a long, black cape reaching down to his feet, with golden edges, a much lighter collar circling his neck, and a prominent, white ribbon hanging down on his chest. Such a cape bears a light Sabertooth's symbol on it. Below it, he wears a plain gray shirt with prominent brown cuffs and what looks like a metal band circling each of his biceps. From a light sash circling his waist hangs a distinctive, pale blue cloth waist guard, consisting of four long pieces of cloth reaching down below his knees. Each of these pieces is adorned by a large, dark cross with fan-shaped arms. Below such waist guard, he wears a pair of armored boots, which, on the front, bear plates bearing the very same motif which appears on the wrist guard. "I could care less about my former mentor."
Before either could elaborate, a man ran up to them "there you bastards are," he screamed as he pulled out an arrow "take this," he shouted as he fired an arrow, only for it to be grabbed by the man. He smiled as he started to munch on it "he's eating the arrow," he muttered as he fired a shot at him, scaring him as the blast narrowly missed his head "it can't be," he whispered, "you're the white knight" he said "Sting" he looked at the other man who turned to face him, "and you're the shadow knight Rogue" he backed up in fear.
"I must be out of practice," Sting muttered "his head is still there," he growled before the man ran off "hey," Sting gestured. "you're just going to leave your pals here," he asked.
"What do you expect," Rogue said, "he's part of a dark guild."
"ribbit"
"Man Sting," a voice called, "you never hold back."
"Oh, Lector and Frosh," Sting said. "I was wondering where you two ran off to."
"We were making sure these guys can't sneak up on you," Lector said, "but look like that wasn't needed" he smiled "you're the dragon slayer to be," Lector said
"Damn straight," Sting said as he gave Lector a high five. "I beat I could be Natsu if I ever got the chance."
'Yeah, that first-gen dragon slayer doesn't stand a chance," Lector said, "you are the best dragon slayer around."
"We should find out," Sting said, "you in Rogue."
"I'll pass," Rogue said
"Me too," Frosh said as the group went off

Fairy tail is genuinely back in action as they get ready to tackle the task of getting their home back from the clutches of the guild known as Sabertooth has risen in power. Will, our heroes, be able to convince the guild to get their home back, or is something else in the waters find out next time on a fairy tail re-told
