Will, our heroes, be able to get past the preliminary rounds to get in the grand magic games, what secrets are the games hiding, and who that mysterious pumpkin man appears to be running the grand magic games. find out all the answers to these questions and more right now

Lucy: let's get moving
"The sky labyrinth is ready to go," the voice screamed as stairs built themselves to the mysterious structure in the sky.
"We should get moving," Wendy said
"Right," Natsu said, "the first eight teams that get in will be able to get past the prelims, he screamed.
"let's go" they all ran off, going as fast as they could to get to the Labyrinth so they could get past the prelims "good luck," Kinana screamed "be safe," she called, "and try not to die," she said as they ran up the sky labyrinth Kinana smiled as she watched her friends disappear into the night sky, "you think they're going to be okay," she asked.
"Good luck," Happy called.
"Make us proud, guys," Carla screamed as she watched her friend's runoff
"of course, they will be," Elfman said "their real men," he shouted, getting a laugh from Miko and Michelle.
"shouldn't you be going," Miko said, "Mavis and Laki told you to meet them later."
"Oh shit," Elfman said," your right, and it's not manly to be late," he screamed, running off. "I'll catch up with you guys later," he shouted as he ran off.
"What was that about" Michelle asked
"Oh, nothing," Miko said. "Fairy tail, as a whole, is very active as it seems."
"aren't we ever" Kinana laughed "that's fairy tail for ya"
Labyrinth of the sky
there are one hundred and thirteen teams taking part in the grand magic games, the purpose of this round is to narrow them down the team to eight, those teams will be allowed to enter the games, the participants much reach Domus Floe the arena in which the games are held to qualify for the games. the participants are allowed to use magic as they see fit; the grand magic games do not take any responsibly for any deaths that may occur during this event, so be careful
"Man, this has to be the craziest maze I've ever seen," Gray muttered. Objects seem to be connected with open stairways, floating platforms with random platforms.
"I've never been good at this kinda thing," Natsu admitted
"well, don't give up yet," Lucy said
"Right," Natsu said, "we can handle this."
"that's the spirit," Erza said, "now we just need to get into the games for right now we that is our goal."
"understood" everyone screamed.
"From what I saw, the coliseum is to the east," Erza said, "so we should head in that direction."
"don't worry, I have this," Lucy screamed "{open Gate of the Compass Key: Pyxis}" from smoke one of Lucy's silver keys. He had a remarkable resemblance to that of a red bird. It has tiny wings and a beak. Also, he has beady eyes, a tubby body figure, and tiny yellow feet. It has triangle-shaped patches located primarily on its torso region. The most distinctive feature it has is the sizeable blackish-gray compass on its head. "Can you tell us which way east is in?" she asked the spirit pointed in one direction "awe yeah, let's go, guys?"
"Should we tell her," Natsu asked
"Let her have this" Erza told him she had a compass that she had on her person at all times, but who was she to step into Lucy's limelight. as they followed the celestial wizard, "we might not be able to go straight east."
"Hell, I'm having trouble thinking of which way is up," Gray said
"Hey," Erza said, "how come you two aren't sick," Erza asked while she was glad that they didn't have to carry the two dragon slayers. She found it weird how this thing made her think they both would have been on the ground, unable to move
"Not a thing," Natsu responded.
"Which is weird," Wendy muttered, "not that I'm complaining, but you think that we'd be on the ground puking our guts out."
"Let me explain," the pumpkin man said, "we used special magic to make sure any wizard with any weakness such as motion sickness can have an even playing field. It also helps with a fear of height" he then vanished again.
"Oh, so that explains it," Wendy said
"So, it's like Troia," Natsu said
"I doubt any wizards get motions sickness like those two," Lucy whispered to Gray."
they do turn into pretty big babies when it happens," he responded.
"We can hear you," Natsu and Wendy shouted, "what part of dragon slayers hear everything, don't you lugnuts understand."
"Not now," Erza said "we need to continue east," she said, "if we can figure out where east is" she then opened a door which led to a long spilling hallway enough to make nay wizard dizzy.
"I think I feel my motion sickness coming," Wendy said
"Come, let's get moving" Natsu grabbed her as they ran down the hallways "how long does this go," he asked as he came to the door only to almost fall over the side
"Natsu," Wendy screamed as she grabbed him by his scarf, "be careful," she said
"When they said deaths may occur, they weren't kidding," Lucy said as she looked over the edge. Natsu almost fell off "we could have lost you."
"We need to be more careful," Gray said
"We should start taking notes." Erza said, "to keep track of where we're going"
"I guess," Natsu said. "Lucy"
"Why do I have to do it" Lucy screamed
"you're the only one here with an attention span of more than five minutes," Wendy said. Lucy wanted to argue; she really did. Still, unfortunately for her, she was right when it came to keeping information her teammates were sorely lacking in that regard, or at the very least, she was the best here. What that said about her was anyone's guess.
"Hey, can't you guys use your noses to sniff out the goal," Lucy asked
"You don't think we've been trying that," Natsu asked, "something in here is dulling our senses."
"Man, they thought of everything," Lucy said, "whoever came up with this must-have made it as a precaution against dragon slayers."
"But how would they know we have dragon slayers," Gray said
"Your guess is as good as mine," Lucy said
Mavis Laki and Elfman walked through the streets of Crocus, approaching a small building "how do you think they're doing in there" Laki asked "you think they're going to do okay" she asked. She was worried this was probably their only chance to get Magnolia back. They were putting everything on the line. She had never been in the line of sight of so many guilds.
"I'm not too worried," Mavis said, "but we should be on our guard," Mavis said, "the only guild where we should trust our Lamia scale and Blue Pegasus," she admitted, "even then Both are here to win, so I'm not sure how friendly they'll be"
"Speaking of which," Elfman asked, "why did the master of Mermaid heel want to meet you, master."
"Your guess is as good as mine, Elfman," Mavis said, "Laki."
"No idea," Laki said, "when I was undercover at Mermaid heel, she saw right through me," she said, "and then today I got a message from her saying that she wanted to meet," she said, "sorry typically I'm better at this kinda stuff."
"it's alright," Mavis said "you did your best, and you managed to get out" she smiled at her. "I'll deal with this from here."
"Yes, ma'am," she said as they approached a building. Someone came out a voluptuous young woman with a slender figure. She has Navy blue hair that is tied into a spiky ponytail with a large strand hanging on the right side of her face, curving away from the face on either side. Her green eyes droop at the edges. She dons a navy-blue scarf with a striped design and a golden crescent moon-shaped hair ornament on the back of her head. She also wears a black zebra-patterned cloak with a Mermaid heel design on the back. It exposes the black and gold skin-tight full bodysuit she wears, noted to have net-shaped designs on the sides and the forearms. Various line borders separate the two, coming in straight and curved patterns; her name was Elana Alteria
"the master will see you now," she said, moving to the side as Mavis walked past going inside they saw someone standing by the window it was a woman of average height; she has black hair in a bowl cut and fully armored with a full breastplate, picnic table yellow and blue designed cloth that has an open slot at the bottom, and elbow guards that expose part of her arm from the part that disconnects from her armor. She turned to the group with a sword in her hands, a smile coming to her face. She was Mermaid heel's master and one of the ten wizard saints Riana Kakuma.
"You must be master Mavis," she said, "it is an honor to meet you." she gave her a bow one which Mavis returned
"You wished to speak," Mavis said as Riana moved to the sofa seated across from her. Mavis looked around, noting that Elana and another guild member stood behind the couch, similar to how Elfman and Laki were positioned. She remembered this from her interaction with Twilight Oger
"Please sit," Riana said, "would you like some tea," she said as she brought out a small kettle making a show that she was making it in front of them going as slow as she could "conversations like this are better if we stay hydrated."
"I'll take some," Mavis said. "Laki, Elfman"
"I'm fine, ma'am."
"Yeah, I had some water before I came," Elfman said. "I'm all good."
"Such a way with words," Riana said, "and you miss Laki," Riana said, "it's nice to see you doing well."
"Thank you," Laki said
As Riana finished the tea, she handed it to Mavis. As she took a sip from her cup Mavis followed suit the air was so thick one could cut it with a sword "first, I would like to break the ice," Riana said, "and welcome you back from your slumber," she said "Master Makarov has praised your skill before" Riana said, "he and Jura talked about you constantly."
"I see," Mavis said
"Now, for the purpose, I wanted to meet," Riana said. "I heard a rumor that you and your team, fairy tail, was it was attempting to take back your home" Mavis nodded to this. A look of satisfaction came across the women's face as she sat her cup down "you realize that requires you to make terms with Sabertooth."
"Yes," Mavis confirmed, "we are working out the details," Mavis said, "but from what I hear, the winner of this year games will get their selection of territory" Mavis confirmed
"You should know, however," Riana said. "Sabertooth's master is not an honorable man," she said "my many attempts of peace talk have all ended the same way," Riana admitted
"As a former member of phantom, I'm not surprised," Mavis said, "that guild wasn't known for their politeness."
"And how did you come across this information" she knew that fairy tail had defeated the rogue guild seven years ago. Still, this amount of information was news to her, "but that explains why he is so adamant about our surrender." she then looked at Laki. "I see," she let out a laugh, "I see you are a useful one; miss Laki a shame you refuse to join a guild."
"with all due respect," Laki said "I feel fine where I am"
"I take it there's more you wanted," Mavis said. "I doubt you called me all the way here to discuss Sabertooth."
"you are an observant one," Riana said as she stirred her tea with a spoon, "while Sabertooth has managed to win the games over the past seven years," she stopped "this will be the first year in which that prospect of earning territory is on the table" she looked out the window again "the chance of war between our guilds feels inevitable."
"That bad," Mavis asked.
"as you know, Mermaid heel has allied with half of what used to be Phantom lord," she said "the only guild that has managed to retain its independence is I believe Quatro Cerberus" Riana shook her head "though, after this year, I feel that Sabertooth will use this as an opportunity to extend its will," she said, "and he won't stop with us."
"He wouldn't go after Lamia scale and Blue Pegasus," Laki said, "that's just crazy."
"The council would have to step in at the point," Elfman said "the main reason Phantom Lord, Blue Pegasus, and Lamia Scale lasted so long was because of the guild charter"
"I don't know," Riana said, "but Jiemma is an ambitious man," Riana noted "a few guilds even joined up with Lamis scale and Blue Pegasus. He might want those back as well."
"What are you getting at," Mavis said
"if the worst does happen," Riana said. "I wanted to propose an alliance," she said
"You want us to join you."
"No," Riana said, shaking her head, "I know that you all prefer to remain independent, so I will respect that" Riana smiled "as it stands, I know you have good relations with Lamia scale and Blue Pegasus."
"You could say that" Mavis admitted those two guilds, in particular, had been big helps to her and her children.
"So, I want to propose the same thing," Riana said, "a deal of sorts, we assist you in the case Sabertooth declares war and vice versa" Riana smiled, "and in the case, we win the grand magic games as a show of faith I will give you back Magnolia and remove the guild that is currently situated there."
Mavis took a glance at Laki and Elfman. She knew everything that was riding on them being here at the grand magic games. As she let out a sigh, she had no idea what she would do, and Riana was right. The chance of war was high. These games were becoming more than a fun tournament. It was becoming a staging ground for war. One wrong move could be the thing that set that bomb off, making her children once again forced into a war that they didn't need.
"Man, this place is confusing," Gray muttered, "how the hell are we supposed to keep track of this place."
"you guys should know," the pumpkin man's voice called, "there are five spots left, so you better hurry."
"we're running out of time," Wendy said, "are you sure we're going the right way."
"I think so," Lucy said
"Hey Erza," Natsu said stopping
"Yes, I hear it too," she said
"Are you sure we aren't lost" a voice shouted
"It was your idea to go this way."
"we're going in circles," another shouted. They all stopped when they saw Natsu and the others "well, look what the cat dragged in" it was the members of Twilight Oger, the group that currently resides in Magnolia and have since turned the town from its former title of the city of magic "I knew you guys were wizards.
"I guess they just let anyone come a partake in the grand magic games," Wendy taunted, "though I'm surprised you babies figured out how to go up the stairs."
"Looks like we're going have to take you wizards down a peg," Thibault shouted as he got ready.
"Then come over here and try it," Wendy shouted
"You tell em, Wendy," Natsu said
"Are you guys seriously going to fight?" Lucy asked
"Like hell, we are," Wendy said
"Fine, you punks want to see how strong we are," Thibault shouted as they jumped the group.
"As fun as that sounds," Wendy started.
"We don't have time to play with you," Natsu screamed as they let out a combined attack blasting the group in the wall as the Labyrinth started to glow before the wall began to move "what's going on," Natsu asked.
"The place is moving," Wendy said
"Hold on," Gray shouted, "the entire Labyrinth is moving"
"Hold on to something," Erza called

the entire Labyrinth turned on its head as they could hear the screams of wizards. Any that fell out of the Labyrinth would be disqualified and would not be able to move on to the grand magic games "it is moving on its z-axis."
"Move to the side," Gray shouted.
"We would but were already falling," Lucy screamed
"Hold on," Natsu shouted "{Fire dragon: jet}" Natsu called as flames burst from his feet as he grabbed Lucy, landing them across Wendy used a similar spell to Natsu landing next to Natsu as he slid on the ground, catching him before he fell off again
"You guys okay" Erza called
"Yeah," Wendy said
"I'll live," Lucy said
"That was fun," Natsu laughed, only to be hit on the back of the head by Lucy "what," he asked as Erza picked something up.
"Hey, look at this," Erza said
"Did Twilight Oger make a map too," Lucy asked
"Hey, if we combine our map with there's," Gray stated, "we might have a better layout of the place."
"Hey," the voice of Thibault called, "you can't take that."
"Oh, does this belong to you," Erza said
"Yeah," he muttered, "give it back," he asked only for Erza to punt him off the ledge, effectively knocking out Twilight Oger as she gave an evil laugh.
"Another one bites the dust."
"If we get more maps, we can probably get through faster," Gray said "we can get fifth place in this event.
"Only four places left better hurry," the voice cam again
"Gray does not talk for the rest of this event," Lucy growled
"Sorry," he muttered
"Come on, let's move," Erza screamed
"So, what do you think," Riana asked
"I'll need time to think about this offer," Mavis said "for example, how does this benefit you," Mavis said
"Yes," Riana said. Looking out the window, she could see the wizards falling from the Labyrinth. she smiled "however, I think being allied with one of the most powerful groups of wizards in Fiore would be a great benefit for my guild."
"Why would you say that," Mavis said
"You and your team, Fairy tail as you call them, are well known across Fiore as the group that bested Phantom lord," Riana explained "you also have your victory over Grimore hearts Seven kin." she stopped. At the same time, which was just a rumor Jura recently confirmed that they did indeed do battle with the dark guild, "I think it would be better to have you as an ally than an enemy."
"That would be a smart move," Mavis said, "like you, I do enjoy the peaceful solution more than the violent one."
"Then we agree then," Riana said, hope in her voice
"We will look into it," Mavis said, "however you should know that our trust is earned," Mavis said, "Lamia Scale and Blue Pegasus have more than earned that, so don't be surprised. If you noticed, we side with one of them more often."
"I expected nothing less," Riana said "nearly every guild I've allied with has told me the same thing" she let out a sigh before standing up "then we are at an agreement"
"Yes," Mavis said, also standing up, "while we may be rivals in the games right now, I look forward to working with you if the situation calls for it" she extended her hand.
"Yes," Riana said, shaking her hand as she watched the group leave, the smile never leaving her face. She hoped more than anything that it didn't come to war with Sabertooth, but if anything, the way the guild was going war felt like an inevitability, so in any case, she wanted to have an ally who, much like her, would have reasons to fight against the guild.
"Master," Elena called.
"Yes, let us prepare for Kagura's triumphant return" she smiled 'we can only hope for the best; this year, grand magic games will be a different one for sure."

"We need to keep moving," Wendy screamed
"Right," everyone screamed right now. They had a somewhat complete map as they ran through the maze, "I think we're on the right track," she said as the maze started to turn again.
"Grab on to something," Gray shouted. They had since gotten used to the Labyrinth's twist and turns.
"Hold on" Natsu screamed.
"We got this," Lucy said as she overlooked a few more maps. "Let head this way," she screamed as they ran. They soon found themselves going down a straight hallway "be ready for anything," Lucy screamed as they came to a large goal post with the pumpkin man standing there. He smiled at them as they crossed the finish line.
"Congratulations," he screamed. "I'm the official host of the Grand magic games, but you can call me Mato."
"So, we made it," Wendy asked.
"Yep," Mato told them, you managed to nab the seventh place."
"seventh" they all screamed.
"Hey, you could have been last," Mato said "and unfortunately you didn't do any of the bonus points so you started at zero, however, personally, I'm glad you all made it," he said, jumping around "you are all so unique and mysterious, one of the most mysterious groups in Fiore, do it will be amazing to see you in action."
"Umm, thank you," Natsu said
"The grand magic games are supposed to be this fun tournament for wizards whether or not they're in a guild, so it is nice to know solo wizards feel safe enough to come and play," Mato said "so good luck in the games."
"Well, we made it," Wendy said
"let's do our best," Erza said
"we're all fired up."
