Hey, fairy tail fans, and welcome back to a fairy tail re-told, and here we are at the first fight of the grand magic games. I have a lot planned for this fight. The fate of Raven tail in this arc is already determined, so I'm going to try to shift the focus more on Sabertooth so I can give you all more of a reason to want to see our heroes beat them, but that's for later, so let's get on to the story.
Last time fairy tail re-told
Lucy: the first fight of the day is beginning
Natsu: you go this, Lucy
Wendy: yeah, do your best
Lucy: Yeah, I'm all fired up
Gray sat in the waiting room for his team, his mind going back to the games earlier where he was practically humiliated that Raven tail guy targeted him and only him, not to mention Rufus 'that pompous bastard" Gray growled 'how did he do that? he wondered
"You know," Rufus said, "They say that two heads aren't necessarily better than one." You could say that" Rufus responded. "I know that the two of you are comrades in a certain way," he told them, "And that could lead to a major disadvantage. It's pretty easy for that friend to be used against you." he looked away, "leaking information, being captured, telling the enemy your weakness, especially if you're close. or in the worse case if an enemy were to threaten their lives"
"He shouldn't have shown me that," Gray growled. "I'm going to get him back for it" he had tried with all his might to push that memory to the back of his mind Juvia was okay. She was still alive, and thanks to Wendy, she is making a full recovery.
"Gray," a voice called. He looked to see Wendy walking into the room "you okay big guy."
"Yeah," he told her, "Just need some time to myself, kid."
"Gray," Wendy whispered.
"I told you I'm fine," he told her, putting up a smile "just go support Lucy," he told her, "And tell her to get some hits in for me."
Lucy vs. Flare: Battle of pride
a knight walked through the halls of the Mercurius castle "did you watch the games, sir" a knight asked
"It seemed," he started, " a bit one-sided."
"The battle portion about to begin," he told him.
"I might have to watch this in person," he told them, a smile on his face as he walked away.
"Our first battle of the day is about to begin," Lola called "it will test the might of the zodiac wielder, of fairy tail Lucy Heartfilia." he shouted as Lucy walked to the arena, "versus the intensity of team Raven tails Flare Corona."
"Come on, Lucy, you go this," Natsu called.
"Win this so we can get in the running," Erza called.
"Raven tail," Lucy thought to herself, "they focused on Gray more than winning," she thought to herself "clearly, they wanted to get our attention" she shook her head 'what could they want from us."
"What could their goal be," Mavis said "has Raven tail truly reformed, or are they still after" she stopped realizing where she was "is there any word on Ivan," she asked suddenly.
"No," Makarov said, "I would have felt his presence by now," he told her "Clearly, this an elaborate plot to humiliate, you and your children," he said, "with all due respect."
"Then there doing a pretty good job at it," Cosmos said, "but you'd think their beef would be with a dragon tail, not with fairy tail."
"their beef has always been with us," Mavis said, "couple that with the fact that Wendy is on team fairy tail it's obvious why they've singled us out." there was a sudden agreement between the three though none of them said it they knew that Raven was up to something and whatever it was they would have to be ready to deal with
"Things are heating up in the arena," Lola said, "and tensions are high after hidden."
"You could say that," Yajima said, "you can feel the tension coming from the spectator seats as well."
"Oh," Jenny said happily, "so much drama," she said, "and it's only the first day" she let out a laugh as Mato walked up to them.
"All right, competitors," he stated, "the entire arena will be your battleground; you have thirty minutes if you knock out your opponent or get them to forfeit you win," Mato said, "and if you run out of time or both knock each other out its a draw."
"Plenty of time," Flare told him
"I'm not losing," Lucy said

"{open gate of the golden bull: Taurus}" Lucy screamed as Taurus appeared, taking a swipe at Flare, making her jump out of the way.
"And Lucy opens hard with an immediate summon of a celestial spirit," Lola shouted.
"All right then now {open gate of Scorpion: Scorpio}" she called as Scorpio appeared, letting out a sand buster attack which Flare blocked with her hair.
"Wow, she's using fire," Natsu said
"Is she attacking with her hair," Wendy asked
"Since when could Lucy summon two spirits at once," Bisca asked,
"she's gotten stronger." Alzack said, "that's for sure."
"Go, spirit guys," Asuka called.
"you can do it Lucy" Michelle called Kataj had run next to Asuka and was smiling as she watched her cousin fight of Flair with relative ease when she could use her magic she could summon two spirits at once sure but still such a combination were unknown to her that and well the loved seeing Lucy's zodiac spirits "Lucy is amazing"
"you boys ready," Lucy called "let's kick it up a notch."
"Aw yeah," Taurus shouted, "let's go, Scorpio."
"Wicked," Scorpio called. "Let go, man," Taurus shouted as he swung his ax around as he jumped around the sand, merging as he slammed it on the ground creating a large explosion covering the arena in sand.
"This is bad for my hair," Jenny called.
"Looks like Lucy is going all out against Rave tail," Lola said as he started to cough.
"She really has improved," Yajima said, "she was nowhere near this strong seven years ago."
"I'll kill you" Flare screamed "{Hair Shower: Wolf Fang}" she shouted as he hair started to turn into a large, furry, fierce-looking, and highly realistic wolf, complete with clawed forelegs, blank eyes, a canine nose, a pair of ears, a mouth full of massive sharp teeth and a long tongue sticking out, "I'm going to kill you blondie" she shouted.
"Wow, her hair can do all sorts of things," Sherria called
"Wow, she is super-hot," Toby shouted
"Her hair is unique," Jura said
"Not so fast," Lucy shouted "{open gate of the giant crab: Cancer}" she called as Cancer appeared, slicing through Flare's hair, destroying the wolf, making her let out a comedic scream as Flare glared at her.
"You cut my hair," she screamed as Cancer waved at Lucy
"you're the best when it comes to hair cancer," Lucy called as Cancer disappeared

"You will pay for that" Flare shouted as she grabbed Lucy by the leg, swinging her around the arena "die," she cried "your spirits have nothing on my free-flowing locks," Flare screamed
"Let see what my Fleuve d'étoiles has to say to that," she called as she gripped Flare's arm, forcing them both into the air sending them around in circles as Flare's hair ignited, sending both into the ground as Lucy jumped up
"What a match" Lola called, "are two contestants are giving the audience room to breathe, and it looks like neither are ready to back down," Lola said "keeps your eyes on this battle, folks"
a wicked grin grew on Flares face as Lucy winched in pain "what wrong" Levy asked, worried about her friend
"Look's like smoke," Jet told her
"Did she burn her feet," Droy asked
"Come on Lu," Levy said, "you got this girl. I know you can do this."
"don't let her get the best of you" Michelle called
"what's the matter" Flare teased. "can't stand anymore cause my glorious hair burnt your little footsie." she stopped when she saw Lucy toss her boots in front of her "what," she said as Lucy stood up
"Man," Lucy said as she took off her boots, "and I liked these boots two," she groaned "what a waste."
"Man, Lucy is going hard out there," Eve said
"Yes," Hibiki said, "I watched her fight Angel during the Nirvana incident, and let me tell you, she's way stronger than she was then," Hibiki said, "you can't even tell she spent seven years in stasis."
"Yeah," Eve said, "and there no telling what she went through on Tenrou Island," Eve said, "so she's probably even stronger."
"what are you" Flare shouted "how the hell are you so strong"
"I trained like every day for the past five months," Lucy said a teasing grin on her face "really works out the kinks ya know, oh and you should spend seven years trapped on a magical Island"
"oh so you think you're cute," Flare said through gritted teeth
"honey please," Lucy said waving her hand "I'm adorable"
Flare let out a scream as she slammed her hair into the ground, making Lucy back up "what are you doing" Lucy asked "trying to go for my feet again" she stopped when Flare glared at her before silently pointing her finger to the stands where her friends where looking over she could see s small string of Flare's hair was behind Asuka and Katja "lookout" Lucy called only to grabbed by Flare throwing her into the ground as she kicked her away.
"Ah-ah," she said, "try to warn you, little friends, in the stand, and I'll break both of their necks" she gave a sinister grin "now be a good little bimbo, and take your punishment," she said
"Damn you," Lucy growled out.
In the stands, a knight smiled as he watched the match. He was a tall, muscular, and well-built man, seen to be wearing the armor of the Cherry Blossom Holy Knight Squadron. He has deep-set eyes and high cheekbones, with a small scar running from his left temple to the edge of his thick eyebrows. He also has a snub, square-shaped nose. His hair is dark and wavy, sticking up around his head, with prominent sideburns that join into a curved and pointed beard. "Everything is coming together," he said "are you watching Zeref" he whispered.
"It won't be long now."
Mavis looked around "do you guys' sense that," she asked
"There is a presence I never felt before," Makarov told her "Could this be what we're looking for," he asked
"Possibly," Mavis responded
"It so close," Cosmos muttered. Everyone there was so focused on the battle with Lucy and Flare that they failed to notice the piece of red hair sticking from the ground inches away from Asuka's foot as she gave her shouts for Lucy to win.
"No one will notice," Flare grinned "no one is going notice," she said, "and if they do, I'll just kill them."
"man, what a match," Lola said as he turned to Yajima. "I bet this brings you back to your magic council days. I hear fairy tail caused you a bit of trouble."
"Oh, nothing too serious," Yajima told him, "Though they were a little reckless, but at the end of the day, there a bunch of skilled wizards with hearts of gold."
"You heard it here first, folks," Lola said "don't let sources fool you. We should not underestimate fairy tail."
"This girl is insane." Lucy whispered as Flare continued laughing at her "how could you," she said, "so you're admitting you can't beat me." she said as she shrugged to stand up
"Oh, I can beat you," Flare said, giving her an evil grin, "but I want to humiliate you," she said. "I want to hear you scream and beg for mercy that will never come." she laughed "just sit there and let me beat you to a bloody pulp any relations and" Flair gave another grin "well, you know what happens" to prove her point she moves her hair Lucy could see though. and since everyone was focused on there fighting, they didn't know the hair next to Asuka's leg.
"Damn you," Lucy called as Flare's hair wrapped around her burning her stomach as she slammed her into the ground before striking her with her hair shocking everyone.
"Lucy," Happy called.
"Why isn't she summoning another spirit," Lily asked, "does summing more than one have other effects."
"I don't know," Carla said "come on, Lucy, you can do it," she called "we're all counting on you," she shouted.
"Is there something we're missing about her magic?" Mavis asked
"Lu, don't let her get the best of you," Levy called "you need to win this thing."
"come on Lucy" Michelle muttered as she watched her cousin get thrown around "you can do this I believe in you"
'what's wrong' Kataj wondered still unaware of the danger near her she reached up trying to get a closer look
"Did she run out of magic?" Sherria asked
"Perhaps the strain of summoning two spirits at once was more than she could handle," Jura said, "though I think they're something we're missing here."
"The fight seemed to have switched gears," Lola called. "I don't know what happened, but Lucy Heartfilia seems to be on the ropes," he called "will Raven tail come on top in this battle."
'I need to think,' Lucy said as she felt herself get thrown around by Flare 'I have to find a way to get Asuka to safety first,' she thought to herself 'that's what matters right now' she could hear Asuka screaming for her to win but what could she do then it hit a memory flashed before her eyes. She had to slap herself for not thinking about it.
'Duh, we heard you,' Wendy said 'we're dragon slayers'
"We hear everything' Natsu finished 'it's a blessing and a curse.'
at first, she didn't know what to make about then there was when in the maze when she whispered that joke to Gray 'alright guys' Lucy thought to herself, 'time to put your hearing to the test.' she then mustered her courage "Natsu, Wendy' she whispered as low as she could "help Asuka and Katja" she repeated the words over and over again as Flare there her around
"Now what should we do next," she asked, giving Lucy an evil grin as she tightened around her arms "oh I know," she said as her hair turned into the Raven tail emblem, "I'll brand your pretty little face with the Raven tail emblem
"what" Lucy cried in the stands. Natsu and Wendy ran as fast as they could leaving a confused Erza behind, she didn't know he heard her. He looked back, seeing that Flare had Lucy trapped, and she couldn't do anything. they had to be quick, running as fast they could go busting into the room where they were.
"Asuka, Katja get back" Natsu screamed Wendy ran to where the girl was grabbing her out the way as he grabbed the hair burning it as Bisca picked up Asuka, backing up near Alzack as Natsu stood in front of them the shocked looked over everyone there as he looked around "Lucy, you're in the clear"
hearing Natsu's voice, a smile formed on Lucy's face as she started to fight back. "Loke, Capricorn," she called as her two spirits appeared. Capricorn pulled her out of the attack as Loke kicked Flare away as Capricorn overlooked Lucy
[## Revival of fairy tail##]
"Are you alright, my lady," he asked as he sat her down
"I'll live," Lucy said, "but I feel drained," she said, "not sure how long I can hold you two here."
"don't worry, beautiful," Loke said. "I'll take care of this."
"Is that Leo" Jenny asked
"You know this spirit" Lola asked
"Yeah," Jenny said, "he was Karen's spirit one point in time" she smiled "nice to know he's doing alright."
As Flare backed up in fear, a bell went off as Mato appeared between the two fighters "and that's the match seeing as you both are still standing, it's going to be a draw."
"So, the match is over," Lola said. "Yajima, what are your" he stopped when he saw the dark scowl on the man's face "never mind," he like Natsu. He had noticed the hair that was going to attack Asuka as well did the other contestants.
"She had to cheat to get the upper hand," Lyon said. "Raven tail is as sketchy as ever."
"it's not cheating if you don't get caught," Jura told him" nothing we can do," he told the ice make wizard who only growled at the response he could understand his anger "we need to keep a close eye on Raven tail," Jura said "for Fairy tails sake"
"I agree," Lyon said as Yuka and Toby nodded
"Lucy," Wendy called, "are you okay," she asked as she placed a hand on her forehead "damn, you're starting to burn up," she whispered as she looked at Capricorn and Loke "you two head back" she smiled "we can take care of this"
"Thank you," Capricorn said
"Take care," Loke said as they both vanished
"Sorry," Lucy said
"Hey," Wendy said, "you got us five points" she smiled at her, "that's better than none, right" Lucy smiled as Wendy helped her off the arena. She shot a glare at Raven tail all who had evil grins on their faces. It was only the first day, but it is evident that the former dark guild was up to something, and she would find out what the cheers the crowd started to drown out as Natsu Mira, and Laxus had a starring match with Alexie the trio could only wonder who was starring back at them and what was he planning.
"Just who is that guy," they all thought as the man watched them

and that's it; I hope that at least this ending was more satisfying than in the original Raven tail is still a threat, so I want them to be there. Still, as I said, I will focus on Saber taking a little more than them, so this might be it for them. In any case, let me know what you think and leave a like if you feel generous.
