After an extremely rough start, will our heroes be able to turn the games around to get their home back, or is the end for our fairy tail friends, and will they be forced to join up with a guild? "That was hard to watch," Cana said as she watched her friend's party. "I mean, aren't you guys supposed to be the great and powerful fairy tail and all." her words started to slur, showing that, as usual, Cana had been out drinking.

"They might have done better if you were there to cheer them on," Elfman shot at her, "instead of hitting every pub in town."

"Hey," Cana shouted, "the pub I was at had lacrmia vision, so I was able to watch you guys," she told him.

"How is Lucy doing anyway," Levy asked, turning to Wendy "and Juvia, for that matter."

"Juvia is fine," Juvia said, coming into the room before sitting down. "I'm sorry that"

"Hey, it's okay," Mira told her "In hindsight, letting you go into a match with Eve wasn't the best idea," she laughed, "if you want to step down."

"No," Juvia said. "I can do this," she said. Hearing this, Mira smiled and nodded at the girl." but what happened to Lucy" she asked while she was her love rival, she had heard about her fight that she was taken off the ring "did something happen to her"

"She had her magic power drained," Wendy told her. "Porlyusica said she needed to rest so that we might have to dip into our reserves members," Wendy admitted

"I'm sorry," Asuka said

"It's alright, kid," Natsu said "you're safe. That's all that's matters," Natsu told her, patting her on the head. "Speaking of which, where's Michelle and Katja," he asked.

"Visiting Lucy," Erza said, "They wanted to see how she was doing," Erza told him.

"And Gray," Natsu asked.

"Licking his wounds," Erza said, "he lost pretty bad. I think he feels he let us down."

"Poor guy," Romeo said, "should we check on him"

"Naw, I think someone has us covered," Natsu chuckled a bit as he leaned back in his chair Juvia looked away.

Chariot

Gray sat alone in their apartment room, his mind still on the games' events. He was angry at himself for falling for a simple trick, mad at Rufus for bringing up that memory. He had it stung, and to make matters worse, he let his friends down. He sulked until someone walked up behind him "you still drowning in your sorrows," a voice called Gray shot up, turning to see Ultear standing behind him, a smile on her face. "I'm sorry, did I catch you at a bad time."

"Naw, you're fine," Gray said, "you sure you should be moving so liberally."

"it's fine," Ultear said as she took a seat next to him. "I haven't been caught yet have I" this got a laugh out, Gray. "I saw your match," Ultear said, "don't beat yourself up too much."

"Be honest with me. I was humiliated," Gray said

"I never said you weren't," Ultear said as Gray started to sulk in his chair; Ultear laughed at this as she looked into the night sky. "you know I found the memorial you made for her," Ultear said, shocking Gray "it took me a few months, and a lot of bribing in some cases" Ultear stopped playing with her orb in her hand "for so long I spent my life hating her thinking that she hated me" Ultear laughed thinking back to her time as the leader of Grimoire hearts Seven kin how she was, "how do you think she would see us."

"Disappointed," Gray said

"I don't think so," Ultear said "well maybe for my part," Ultear said, "but you," she looked at Gray, "she would be proud of you, Gray, sure you got knocked around today," Ultear said "but you have to get back up, don't let this one loss stop you," Ultear told him "you're better than that" this goes to laugh out of Gray "what."

"Nothing," Gray said, "just looking back, never thought I'd get a pep talk from Ur's daughter" he looked at him, " it's a weird feeling." this finally got Ultear laughing.

"What can I say," Ultear said "as I told you on Tenrou Island, you and I are practically siblings," she smiled, "and I can't let you fall down on your face, not without being there to catch you. it's what Ur" she stopped looking away "what my mother would have wanted" she then took a look out the window "I must admit it never ceases to amaze me how beautiful the city can be at night" to this Gray smiled "promise me you won't let this one defeat stop you"

"it won't," Gray said, standing up, "it'll take a lot more than one defeat to keep me down" he looked away "and thank you," he smiled, "going to head downstairs; you wanna come."

"No," Ultear said, "it was a risk coming to talk to you here" she looked away "this might" she stopped "you should know that we should treat every conversation as our last," she told him, making Gray stop "that if we do discover what's going on here, there's a chance that I could"

"don't say that," Gray said, "we'll see each other again" he smiled at her, "and one day," he looked back at her, "what you say you and Lyon go spend some time together."

a light blush found its way to her cheeks as she smiled at him. "I'd like that," she said, "so I'm going to hold you to it, Gray" before he could say anything she hugged him feeling the shock in his breath as he hugged her back before separating she smiled as she watched him leave, the smile started to fade 'even though a sinner like me will never get that privilege, it is nice to dream.' as a member of Crime Sorcière her life has since become forfeit as she told them on the beach they had no choice but to ride this life until the day they die.

"Oh hey, look, the man of the hour," Natsu said as Gray walked into the room "how ya doing man," he asked.

"I'm doing better," Gray said, "had a bit of pep talk."

"Well, that's good," Natsu said, "we might have gotten knocked down, but all we have to do is get right back up."

"Yeah," Wendy said

"I'll be going in tomorrow," Natsu said smiling, "so just you wait, Fiore, you're going to see what we got"

overhearing this brought a smile to Gajeel's face; 'if Salamander's going in, then I should get ready to.'

"So, you want to go in," Laxus said, clearly reading Gajeel's mind "sure, why not" he smiled, "just try not to destroy the arena."

"What the deal, lightning bolt, you trying to put on the good guy act for your granddad," Gajeel teased as he was held back by levy

"Are you trying to get fried" Levy screamed?

"Hey, leave Laxus alone," Freed shouted, his face red from all the drinking "you mess with Laxus, you mess with the thunder legion as well," he screamed. "Evergreen, Bickslow, come, our leader needs us," he shouted as he turned to see his teammates on the ground passed out after foolishly challenging Cana of all people to a drinking contest. It didn't help that neither could hold their liquor, so they were both out like lights. he then noticed that both Makarov and Cosmos were also passed out next to Cana 'figures that she could even drink wizard saints under the table

"Now this looks like a party worth joining" it was a tall, muscular, fair-skinned man with straight black hair, which is slicked back and gathered on the back of his head, where it is kept in a bun, hidden away by a white cloth with ruffled edges secured by a similarly colored strip; his outfit leaves most of his muscular torso exposed, instead of covering his arms and shoulders with dark blue armor plates, which join on the upper part of his back and are topped by a wide, arched armored collar in correspondence to his nape. Covering his legs is a very baggy pair of dark pants, which ends below his knees and sports giant, light motifs reminiscent of flames on the legs' outer edges, and circling his waist is a golden sash tied on his left hip, with its long edges left hanging. For footwear, he dons dark, plain Chinese-looking shoes with soft soles. "So how about a couple of drinks to pass the time."

"Oh, so you got something to prove," Cana asked, "Then let's skip right to the fun part."

"Hey buddy take some advice and walk away," Macao told him

"Yeah, her alcohol tolerance is as strong as her daddy," Wakakba added

a few seconds later, Cana passed out on the ground as the man let out a laugh as he started to leave-taking Cana's top leaving her bare-chested "thanks for the trophy hot stuff," he called as he began to leave

"Hey, are you nuts," Macao said

"If Gildarts found about this, he'd turn you to chunks," Wakaba shouted as they tried to attack him, only for him to fall to the ground, he jumped back up, slamming both into the ground.

"What just happened," Laki asked.

"He just drunk Cana under the table," Max told her "Then he took out both Macao and Wakaba with one hit."

"Get up, Dad," Romeo shouted.

"Bacchus," Erza asked as the man stood up, looking around. He smiled as he looked at Erza.

"Thought I smelt a burial," Elfman said, "long time no see."

"Erza," Bacchus said, "and Elfman too, heard you guys went into hiding or something like that"

"Yeah," Erza said, "you can say that"

"What brings you here," Elfman asked, "taking part in the games."

"You could say that," Bacchus said. "Warcry went and ruined the name of our team," he laughed, "so now as the leader of Quatro hound, I have to step up." he let out a laugh as he walked out the pub "you know how we are"

"Wild," Erza said, exhausted already from the conversation with the man.

"You know that guy," Wendy asked.

"Yes," Erza said, "we've run across each other on several jobs," Erza told her "He's one Quatro Cerberus S-class wizards," she told her, "Drunken fist Bacchus."

"The guy offered me a place in their guild a while back," Elfman told her. "I turned him down, and well."

"He got his butt kicked," Natsu revealed

"Come on Natsu," Elfman shouted "all I'm saying is you should be careful around him," Elfman said, "he can be a dangerous opponent."

"Understood," Gray said, "but I think Erza can take him right."

"We have fought before," Erza said, "but there was never a clear winner."

"Tell me more about this vision you had," Mavs said. She and Carla had come to a private room, "it happened during the games."

"Yes," Carla said, "it was strange. My clairvoyance has been limited ever since we returned from Tenrou Island," Carla admitted "all I can remember was seeing Mercurius fall to the ground and singing," she looked away, "then I see Lucy."

"Thank you for coming to me with this," Mavis said, "let me know if anything else comes to your mind."

"Thank you," Carla said "but this had to be a bad dream right, it can't be real"

"We can't say until the games have passed," Mavis told her "until then we need to keep our eyes peeled"

"Sir, the first day went off without a hitch," Arcadios said as he kneeled. to the king smiled hearing this "the fights were entertaining to watch," he said "if you could captain," he asked, "I want Bacchus to participate tomorrow" he smiled "against the person on team fairy tail the one who transformers."

"It will be done, my lord," he said

"Sleep well," the king called as he left the throne room though he had other plans.

"Not when I'm so close."

"And welcome to the second day of the grand magic games," Lola called out today. He was wearing a brown wing very similar to the one he was wearing on the first day of the grand magic games "today; our contestants will have to face the chariots," he called "joining me today is my friend Yajima and today's special guest Jason of Sorcerer weekly."

"Cool," Jason screamed.

"the rules for this game are simple," Lola said, "our contestants have to run along the tops of interconnected chariots, which start at one end of Crocus and end at the Grand Magic Games Arena." he explained "sounds easy, right, wrong, Falling off the chariots will result in disqualification," he screamed "which team will survive this rough and tumble race through the capital.

"Why doesn't the Troia spell work" Wendy muttered, a dark cloud hanging over her. "I even used a stronger dose this time," she cried.

"We should have used someone else," Gray said, "damn it"

"We should have guessed this when the word chariots came up," Elfman said he was filling in today for Lucy as she rested up in the medical room.

"I'm not sure what's wrong with team fairy tails Natsu, but he seems to be struggling to put one foot in front of the other," Lola said

"that's it, the worlds against us," Jet muttered.

"Not just him," Lola said "it seems dragon tails Gajeel, and Sabertooth tigers Sting, are in the same boat," he said all three faces had turned blue and were stuck in a standstill. "I'm not sure what could be going on with those wizards to make them stop like that"

"I could be wrong," Yajima said, "but they all probably suffer from motion sickness."

"No," Gajeel said "not now," he muttered. "I don't get motion sickness," Gajeel called.

"Oh, give it a rest, man," Natsu managed out, "we all saw you on the boat."

"Shut up," Gajeel managed out before he gagged again.

"This has to be some sick joke, right," Lily asked, "the one-day Gajeel participates they do a game about this."

"of course, they do," Happy said

Cosmo massaged her temples. She was still feeling the alcohol from last night last time she went drinking with Makarov, that's for sure "so they got cool magic, but they can't ride vehicles doesn't seem like a good trade-off to me."

"Even the Sabertooth guy is sick," Levy added.

"Talk about rotten luck," Lector said, "this game is about Stings one, and only weakness," Lector said, "so the other guilds got off lucky."

"let's take a look at the group leading the pack," Lola said " in the lead, we have Raven tails Blacksnake, in second place we have the trimens Ichiya, and in fourth place, we have Ferrous Cinco's Yuka and fifth place we have the nymph's fives Risley" he called.

"Feel the burn," Ichiya muttered.

"I'm surprised someone with your figure could run this long," Yuka bragged

"don't underestimate chubby power short stack," Risley shouted

"And trailing behind them, we have team Quatro hound's reserve member Bacchus."

"Man, your loud," Bacchus said, "let a man work of his late-night drinking in peace, will ya."

Yuka smiled as he got ready "{wave boost}" he shouted as he shot ahead "good luck using magic while you in my shock wave," Yuka called.

"don't you listen" Risley called "{gravity change}" she shouted as she landed on the side of the chariot running?

"Pint blank speed perfume," Ichiya shouted as he shot his magic directly in his nose, running past Yuka.

"Man, they're going all our up there," Bacchus said, "then I should too," he shouted as he slammed his foot down, destroying the chariots in front of him, knocking all three off-balance

"I don't believe it," Lola said, "he destroyed the chariots."

"he's even stronger than he was seven years ago," Erza said

"Try not to fall off," Bacchus teased as he ran past them

"That was a dirty trick," Ichiya shouted

"You said it," Yuka said

"Nobody makes chubby fly," Risley shouted due to her magic; her body had gotten slimmer, much to the audience's shock.

Bacchus laughed as he raced past, Kurohebi shocking him as he rushed to the finish line scoring his team ten points. "I would never have guessed that they had someone like that in their ranks," Makarov muttered as Mavis nodded in agreement.

"Blacksnake scored second place, followed by Risley getting third place, Yuka coming in fourth with Ichiya in fifth," Lola explained, "which leaves a three-way battle for last place."

"This is embarrassing," Gajeel muttered, "didn't they say something about making this fair" he groaned.

"I guess they forgot," Sting muttered.

"Kill me," Natsu said, "I think it's getting worse."

"it's just the mark of a true dragon slayer," Sting said "it's not that bad," he said before falling over to his motion sickness, "not bad at all."

"Come on" Jet screamed

"This blows" Droy called

"So, puking in slow-mo. is entertaining," Ogra asked

"Umm, Rogue," Yukino asked the man next to her, "Is this common among your kind." this question got confused looks from Rufus and Ogre as neither really knew that Sting and Rogue were Dragonslayers

"At first," Roge started, "I thought only Sting and I suffered from motion sickness, but it seems I was wrong," he admitted. "I'm so glad it's not me out there."

"Does it affect you too, Laxus," Mira asked.

'Naw," he told her, "Though it did for a while, though."

"I see," Juvia said, "you're a drakon slayer not a dragon slayer so it makes sense I guess."

"Yeah," Laxus noted, "it has its benefits."

"Gotta keep moving," Natsu said. "I can't lose like this," Natsu shouted as he and Gajeel started walking. They were used to their motion sickness, having dealt with it for years, "one foot in front of the other," Natsu said as he stepped forward.

"you're just making fools of yourself," Sting said, "everyone can see you have no strength left." However, he noticed that Natsu and Gajeel had ignored him as they pressed forward; both were determined not to lose this race even though it was over. Still, they weren't getting last place. "Fine, I didn't need this win," Sting boasted "we're just going to keep racking up the points after this," he smiled, "one measly little point. Not going to make a difference."

"One-point ain't nothing to scoff at, kid," Gajeel shouted, "and don't you forget that"

"Let me ask you something," Sting asked getting their attention again "why did you ever bother entering the tournament," he asked "your nothing like the wizards I knew growing up, what happened to the heroes of my childhood" he screamed, "what happened to the wizards who would do whatever they wanted? Whenever they wanted," he asked, "I thought you didn't care what the world thought of you, now all it seems like your obsessed with it."

"The reason we're here" Natsu stated he remembered what Mavis told him how they had to get Magnolia back no matter the cost he understood that, but that wasn't the only reason "the reason we're here is for our friends" he shouted much to Stings shock "the ones who waited for us" he started "for all the years we were gone, who had to fight through the pain, the heartache, loss of sleep" he began as the wizards who weren't trapped on Tenrou Island faces started fill with tears as Natsu gave his speech. " the world kicked them down, humiliated them, took everything they cared about away from them, and yet they stayed strong" he stopped as he caught his breath "they didn't give up then, so there no way in hell I can give up now" he screamed "I'll make sure the whole world knows nothing can keep us down" he cried all over the world solo wizards who once lived in Magnolia saw Natsu speech tears filled their eyes as he crawled to the finish line

"He did it," Lola called "Natsu from Fairy tail nabs sixth place, and scores two points," he told them, "Gajeel from dragon tail nab seventh place and gets one point."

"Now those two boys have some Moxy," someone said as the crowd started to clap and cheer for the duo as they lay on the ground trying to recover from the motion's sickness.

"Damn it, Natsu," Wendy muttered as she wiped away her tears "why you always gotta be so inspiring," she muttered.

"Yeah," Elfman said, "he is pretty manly."

"crowd favorite Sting forfeited the race," Lola called, "so Sabertooth tigers gets zero points."

"You're here for your friends," Sting muttered. An image of a young girl came to mind shaking the memory he growled, "that's a load of crap, and you know it," he muttered, leaving he would beat Natsu if it were the last thing he did.

"Man, my stomach, it wants to jump out," Natsu groaned "why did I talk myself into this"

"You think you would know better by now," Porlyusica said. "I swear sometimes I wonder if you have a brain in there" this got a laugh out of Wendy as she looked at Lucy, who sat up in the bed.

"Let me guess," she said, "moving transportation" she laughed when Wendy nodded "come on, Natsu, you should know better," she laughed.

"How are you feeling," Wendy asked

"Better," Lucy said, "thanks to Porlyusica."

"It's no problem, child," the woman said, "though you should be careful," she told her.

"Yes, ma'am," Lucy said smiling, "I'll be back in action tomorrow, though, so no need to worry."

"And now for the moment, you all been waiting for the battle portion," Lola said, "today, we have the runner up of our chariot race Blacksnake versus Tobey." Lola shouted "and I should mention that our beloved mascot Mato can't attend today so I will be taking over for him"

"I expect a good clean fight," Yajima said

"So cool," Jason called

"Did I miss anything?" Wendy asked

"Naw, they're just about to start," Elfman said. "Raven tail going in again."

"We should keep an eye on them," Erza said

"right" Wendy looked over where she saw Raven tail standing. She looked at the Flare girl 'are those bruises' Wendy wondered as she started to look at the fight

"{poison claw: jellyfish}" Tobey shouted as he started attacking Kurohebi, who jumped out of the way before his body turned to sand "wait, this disappeared"

"You fool," Jura called "he's behind you," he shouted as Kurohebi kicked Toby in the head, sending him to the ground.

"{Sand: rebellion}"

"Hey, that's my magic," Max called

"It must be mimic magic," Laki said

"I haven't seen that in a long time," Mavis said

"Man, you're strong," Tobey said, standing, "kinda wish I had a name like that."

"Well, it's not my real name," he said, "just my wizard's name"

"Really," Tobey said as he attacked again, "well if I win, you have to tell me your real name."

"And what do I get if I win," Kurohebi asked

"Then you get to know my super-secret," he shouted

"I like that." Kurohebi said, "fine then," he said as they got ready to attack again. The battle portion is about to begin
