Hey, fairy tail fans, and welcome back to a fairy tail re-told; the second day of the grand magic games continues as the battle portion of the day has begun. What challenges will our heroes face to win at today's events? Feeling more inspired than ever after Natsu's speech during the opening game, our heroes will fight with everything they have to get their home back.
Last time on a fairy tail re-told
Erza: the grand magic is an exciting spectacle, to say the least
Wendy: Yeah, honestly, I expected a straight tournament over the course of several days
Gray: but to be fair, that would be boring
Erza: I guess you have a point
Lucy: Why are you guys so battle crazy
Wendy: what can I say? We like fighting, don't you
Lucy: no, I like my bones, none broken. Thank you very much
Wendy: whatever you say, Lu, whatever you say
Carla sighed as she watched the fight; the vision she had still haunted her mind. 'What could it mean" she asked herself, 'does it involve the darkness that Jellal sensed here" she wondered.
"Carla, you okay," Happy asked.
"Yes," she lied, "I'm fine," she told the blue exceed next to her. Lily looked over as well. She could see the concern on their faces. She wanted to tell them to warn them about what she saw. Still, she knew there was no way they'd believe her not about a future like that one where they all 'stop that thinking', Carla shook her head. 'It was nothing more than a bad dream is all' she smiled as she looked back at the fight going on. 'I should just let myself relax. Everything will be okay.'
"We have nothing wo worry about."
Elfman vs. Bacchus: a man's pride
"{poison claw: jellyfish}" Tobey shouted as he started attacking Kurohebi, who jumped out of the way before his body turned to sand "wait, this disappeared"
"You fool," Jura called "he's behind you," he shouted as Kurohebi kicked Toby in the head, sending him to the ground.
"{Sand: rebellion}"
"Hey, that's my magic," Max called
"It must be mimic magic," Laki said
"I haven't seen that in a long time," Mavis said
"Man, you're strong," Tobey said, standing, "kinda wish I had a name like that."
"Well, it's not my real name," he said, "just my wizard's name"
"Really," Tobey said as he attacked again, "well if I win, you have to tell me your real name."
"And what do I get if I win," Kurohebi asked
"Then you get to know my super-secret," he shouted
"I like that." Kurohebi said, "fine then," he said as they got ready to attack again.
"Come on, Tobey," someone called as the two continued their fight their final collision creating a large explosion as Toby landed on the ground defeated.
"The dust has settled, and the victor is clear," Lola called "it looks like Blacksnake has taken another win from Raven tail," he screamed. "Raven tail is clawing its way to the top folks."
"They got some real power on their side," Gray said
"Yeah," Wendy said, "makes me wonder why he wasn't in on the infinity clock plan."
"Maybe he's a recent recruit," Elfman told her.
"so," Kurohebi said "you owe me a secret"
"it's my sock," Toby said, tears filling his eyes. "I can't seem to find it; I've looked everywhere for it," he said, "but it's nowhere to be found," he cried as everyone in the audience, even Kurohebi deadpanned because well, it was obviously around his neck. They all thought it was a fashion statement thing that he had an odd one to be sure, but it made him stand out "it's so weird like it right under my nose.
"Umm," Kurohebi, "have you checked here," he asked as he pointed to his chest as Tobey sat, placing his hand on his chest as he started crying tears of joy.
"So uh, have you ever seen anything like this" Lola asked
"Thankfully no," Yajima replied
"So cool" Jason shouted
Kurohebi walked up to him as he held his hand out. As Tobey reached up, he snatched the sock from him before ripping much to Tobey horror as gray had to hold Erza back as everyone glared at Kurohebi as, he walked away "you should have never told me how much that sock meant to you," he said as everyone glared at him.
"Looks like he's adding insult to injury," Lola said
"Now that was uncalled for," Evergreen muttered
"I don't think they've changed at all," Laki muttered, "once a dark guild, always a dark guild."
"Now let's move on," Lola said "in our second match, we have Quatro hounds god of wine, Bacchus," he shouted, "who will be taking on a member of team fairy tail."
"Avenge me," Cana screamed, jumping in front of the crowd "take that son of a gun out," she called.
"Cana calm down," Mavis said
"So, it's one of us," Gray muttered
"What if it's Natsu," Wendy asked
"Then we wake him up," Gray muttered
"You did exactly as I asked," the king said he personally came to see this match. "I finally get to see the wild, untamed fury that is Bacchus vs. the graceful warrior that is Erza Scarlet."
"Excuse me," he said, "I'm sorry, sir, but I had a different fight arranged."
"fairy tail reserve member, Elfman Strauss," Lola called
"what" Elfman screamed, "we're so dead."
"Keep calm," Erza said. "I know you can do this."
"I don't think you realize how bad I lost time," Elfman told her "There is no way I can win this."
"Not with that attitude, you're not," Wendy said, "that was you seven years ago, and even then, you couldn't do a full-body take-over; you can do this, Elfman."
"Elfman is going in," Mavis muttered.
"You sound worried," Cosmos asked, "isn't he one of you students."
"don't get me wrong, Elfman is a skilled wizard," Mavis muttered, "but this is an opponent that may very well be out of his league" she let out a sigh
"I thought you of all people would have more faith in him," Makarov said
"The last time Eflman fought Bacchus he was in the medical ward for three months," Mavis told them "but your right, he isn't the same wizard he was all those years ago, he has mastered the full-body take over since then" she smiled "my boy can do this if he believes in himself"
"Yeah, that the spirit," Cana said. "I know he has this"
"They're so screwed," Happy, Macao, and Wakaba noted only to be hit by an angry Cana
"don't be mean to him," Cana shouted at the three
"You incompetent fool," the king shouted. "I wanted to see Erza; this won't be a battle. It'll be a massacre for that novice."
"I am deeply sorry. My lord," Arcadios said, "please forgive me."
"Come on Fairy tail, you can do it," someone called
"you're sure," another asked. "I mean, this is Bacchus we're talking about; even the guy fighting him doesn't seem so sure."
Bacchus smiled as Elfman walked into the ring "hey, I remember you," Bacchus said, "We met seven years ago on a similar job," he let out a laugh "if I remember correctly, our fight last time didn't end too well for you" he shook his head "so what do you say we make a bet" he smiled "your sisters and her friend are two fine-looking numbers" he said gesturing to Mira and Kinana.
"And, what's your point," Elfman asked.
"Come on, man," Bacchus said, "you can't be that dense. If I win, they have to keep me company tonight," he smiled, "at the same time."
"Scumbag," Cana growled out.
"Both of them," Happy muttered next to Kinana, who seemed to be shaking in fear.
"The nerve," Evergreen muttered.
"And," Bacchus said, "what do you get if you win," he said
"Listen here," Elfman said "a real man doesn't tolerate that kind of disrespect," he said, clenching his fist, "so get ready cause your about to get schooled."
"So, you accept then," Bacchus said as he stood up, "good."
Natsu woke up in the infirmary stretching as he looked around "hey, where did everybody go" he asked "did they all leave" he stopped when a scent struck his nose "wait," he said as he stood up, grabbing his scarf as he ran out "this way" he said as he ran outside, he saw four people two of them were holding Porlyusica and Lucy "hey get back here" Natsu screamed.

"What the guy from the infirmity is up" one of them shouted
"We need to move," another shouted as Natsu ran after then
"Damn it," he called, "I didn't think he could run this fast, especially after that race earlier."
"let's see if he can outrun a bullet" Natsu appeared in front of him, slamming him to the ground as he ran off.
"Get back here," Natsu screamed, "you're not taking Lucy."
"We need to get the lead out," one said, "We should drop the baggage."
"we're supposed to grab the girl in the infirmary."
"But the one your holding isn't a girl," he shouted
"Who hired you to do this" Natsu growled, appearing behind them as he knocked them all out, creating a large explosion from his attack.

"I've seen a lot of one-sided matches in my day, but this is embarrassing, did Elfman come here to lose," Lola said. The crowd agreed as Elfman landed on the ground. He had yet to land a single blow against his opponent.
"This guy is more on your level Erza" Gray muttered
"I would have to agree," Erza said, "though we shouldn't count Elfman out yet"
"Come on Elfman" Kinana muttered
"don't worry," Evergreen told her. "Elfman always can come through in a pinch."
"Yeah," Happy screamed, "get him, big guy."
Elfman rushed in. 'I need to keep up with his speed,' Elfman thought to himself, "{take over beast sole: Weretiger}" he screamed as he turned into a very massive, anthropomorphous creature, possessing distinctive traits characterizing a great variety of felines. In such form, he still stands on his rear legs, which, however, gain a structure similar to those of a feline, with his toes sprouting sharp, dark claws, not unlike those appearing on his fingers. He retains a toned and muscular physique,
"This form should increase his speed," Mira said
"But he still hasn't landed an attack," Juvia said
Bacchus danced around Elfman, landing a hit on his stomach and his chin, forcing him to the ground as he smiled, backing away "going to have a wild time tonight," he muttered as Elfman struggled to get to his feet "what are we, boys" he called
"WILD"
"He may be faster, but it still no good if he can't land a hit," Gray muttered.
"It all because of that weird fighting style of his," Wendy muttered, "don't think I've ever seen someone move like that."
"Believe it or not, that is all part of a rigorous technique he's done," Erza told them, "One that focuses magic into his palm. It's extremely unique. He uses this in conjunction with a martial art form that he mastered, called chop hanging palm; it specializes in devasting palm strikes," Erza explained as Bacchus continued to dance around Elfman, landing blow after blow. Still, the man continued to get up, "but Bacchus took a step further and created a style all his own; he calls it drunken chop hanging palm. It increases his destructiveness in his strike and also decreases his pain sensitivity."
"Wait, so he's drunk," Wendy asked
"He gets hammered when he fights," Gray shouted
"That's not the issue Elfman is facing now," Erza said "the problem is that he hasn't had a drop to drink yet.
"The chop hanging palm" Yajima also finished explaining Bacchus technique "it rare one, that's for sure."
"And now the entire audience can say they've seen it with their own eyes," Jason screamed. "COOL."
"So that explains the craziness that happened last night," Wakaba said
"You think Elfman can pull this off," Kinana asked
"of course, he can," Evergreen said, "he's just getting started" Elfman landed on the ground, his take-over wearing off."
"Come on, Elfman, get up," Cana screamed.
"Looks like his take-over wore off," Lola said, "now he's just a beast of a man."
"That with all the damage he's taken cannot be good for him," Yajima said
"Bacchus relies on his drunken punches to get more damage," Mira muttered, "makes him unpredictable."
"Yea, but" Juvia started, "he hasn't even taken a drink yet."
"He's sober right now," Gray shouted, "then that means he's hardly even trying."
"Is this it?" Lola said, "is Elfman down for the count."
Elfman sat on the ground out of breath but he had to get up he had to keep going to many people were counting on him to win this fight even though he was out of his league he had to get up again 'I won't let you down Lucy' his friends picked him cause they believed in him of all the people they went to him for help 'I can't let my friends down, I won't let my master down' "Hey, you," Elfman said, "I never told you what I wanted," he muttered out, "if I win."
"Oh yeah," Bacchus said, "well, this is the only time it's going to come up" he smiled, "so go ahead."
"If I win, you and your team have to change your name to Quatro puppy," he said, getting a laugh out of Bacchus, as his teammates back in shock
"That a way better name for them than Quatro's hound," Cana laughed.
"It is kinda silly," Kinana muttered, " do you think they'll agree."
Bacchus finished laughing as he glared at Elfman "you think ya cute of something"
"I'm a real man," Elfman told him "so I think what I'm supposed to say is I'm adorable" this got another laugh out of Bacchus
"You got yourself a deal," Bacchus said as he picked up the gourd, he had with him taking off the cap "last call," he said as he started to jug the entire thing.
"Oh no," Gray said
"he's getting serious," Wendy said, "this is bad."
"It should be easy to take down a wobbling drunk like me right," Bacchus asked.
'you can't try to copy Natsu, and Mira' Mavis told him, 'you need to find your own way of making your magic shine, the beast soul is not nearly as flexible as the other takeovers in the world, nor does it have the same amount of raw power that the other does as well, but there is some advantage you have Elfman, one that neither Natsu nor Mira will have' {take over: beast soul}" Bacchus landed several strikes on Elfman.
"Seven strikes," Erza whispered
"It was like he turned himself into a blur" Happy muttered
"So COOL"
"What is Elfman going to do against that" Juvia shouted as she looked over to Mira, who had a smile on her face
"trust me," she said, "I think my baby brother found his way."
"So, you finally took my advice, huh" Mavis muttered "atta boy Elfman."
Bacchus stood back as blood appeared on his hands as his armor broke, landing on the ground.
"what" he screamed," He got me."
"Bacchus may have double vision, but I bet he didn't see that coming," Lola said "none of us did, for that matter.

Elfman rose from the smoke, not a scratch on him now he was a large, anthropomorphous reptilian creature. His muscular figure is almost completely covered in scales, some of which, lined up, are shown to be particularly large, protruding, and sharp. The only parts seemingly left bare are the front section of his torso and the palm of his hands. His fingers grow sharp, dark claws, similar to the ones sprouting from his toes, which become much more massive and stockier, also changing in placement, and thus making Elfman's feet similar to a reptile's rear legs. His hair is replaced by a long, messy, and spiky light mane topping the top part of his head and extending to his middle back; Elfman's head itself gains reptilian features, becoming stubbier, losing a visible nose, and gaining a large, protruding plate in correspondence to his forehead, topping his eyes. "Lizardman," he smiled, "I can't hit you, but go ahead and hit me all you want."
"Quick quiz for you kids," Mavis said "there are times when you face an opponent that's faster than you," she explained, "when you can't keep up, what's the best thing to do next."
"Oh, I know," Kinana said "it's to outlast them," she said, "and with those scales, Bacchus will wear himself out."
"I don't think that a good idea," Wakaba said, "he's taking beating already."
"Oh, he'll be fine," Happy said, "wanna know why."
"Cause he's a real man," Happy, Romeo, and Evergreen said in unison
"You are to never tell him I said that" she added quickly as Bickslow laughed
"don't worry, we won't tell your boyfriend that," he teased
"Shut it" she shouted hitting him as her cheeks turned a deep shade of red
"it's like his own protective armor," Erza said, "impressive."
"Then come on," Elfman said. "I wanna see you rip those puny little arms of you to shreds," he told him.
"This man is wild," Bacchus laughed 'you would fit right in with our guild' he smiled
"I hope Elfman knows what he's doing," Laxus muttered
"That does seem to be quite the gamble," Jellal said
"He has this," Mira said, "he is my brother after all."
"What the matter, you scared," he said as Bacchus smiled. He then rushed up to Elfman, who put up his guard as the man attacked so fast, he could barely keep up. He felt as if he was getting stuck on every single part of his body at once. Everyone watched in amazement as Elfman took the beating that Bacchus delt to him.
"Come on, Elfman," Evergreen muttered "you're a real man, right," Evergreen said, "prove it."
"This is no meager battle," Lola called "it's a battle of wills," he shouted "will Bacchus tire himself out, or will this barrage of blows be too much? I just can't call it," he screamed as Bacchus stood back and much to his surprise Elfman got back up.
"what" Bacchus shouted "I've hit" he stumbled forward "with my strongest moves, and you're still standing after all that" he slurred out "no that's not possible" he screamed "what are you"
"My brother and sister," Elfman started, "are two of the strongest solo wizards, in all of Fiore" he let out huffs of air. "so I can't go around letting myself get beat up, by any random joe" he could tell the pain was finally starting to catch up to him, "so I'll keep getting up" he smiled "wanna know why," he raised his fist as Bacchus tried to move. Still, his body froze the damage from Elfman scales finally catching up to him "cause I'm a real man" he punched Bacchus hard, creating a gust of wind as the man flew back, landing on the ground as his take-over wore off.
"You know what that means, Elfman," Bacchus said as he struggled to his feet. "I win," he said. "and you," he stopped as he fell over, landing on the ground, "you're a real man for sure," he said before passing out.

"and Bacchus is down," Lola called "the victory goes to Elfman," he screamed as people started to cheer for Elfman as he stood up "that brings team fairy into the double digits," he shouted as Elfman gave a victory cry "what a turnaround victory as Elfman snatches victory from the jaws of defeat, proving that fairy may be down but there not out.
above the stand, Natsu smiled as he finished watching the fight "man, go, Elfman, I knew he could do it" he smiled as brother raised his arms in victory
"Yeah, he was awesome," Lucy said
"Are you feeling better," Natsu asked
"You bet," Lucy said, "and it's all thanks to Porlyusica here."
"Please don't mention it," Porlyusica said as she turned to Natsu, "about those hoodlums."
"We were hired to do it."
"Some guy from Raven tail wanted us to take the girl that as in the infirmary."
"Sure," a knight said, "they can tell us all about it in headquarters."
"What could they want with Lucy," Natsu asked.
"Beats me," Lucy said, "didn't Wendy say they were after me during the infinity clock crisis."
"They were, but all that's over now," Natsu said "but Raven tail is clearly up to something," Natsu said
"Ivan was never caught right," Lucy asked, "so maybe he's pulling the strings.
"I doubt it," Porlyusica said. "Raven tail new leader appears to be that Alexei fellow.
"Then they could be looking for payback," Natsu said, "that or there trying to finish their old masters will" Natsu looked in the distance. What Magnolia was hiding ran through his head "whatever the case."
"This is starting to get personal."
Elfman managed a come from behind victory of Bacchus, but what other battles lie in store for our heroes, and what of Raven tail and the growing darkness surrounding the grand magic games. the mystery of the games is slowly starting to unravel as the journey continues
"The operation was a failure," a knight reported
"you idiot," Arcadius shouted, "we were this close to having a celestial wizard." he sighed as he turned away, "and what of the kidnappers."
"They still believe a member of Raven tail was who hired them," he reported, "they don't know if the truth, sir."
"Good," Arcadios said, "we can use the rivalry of fairy tail and Raven tail to our advantage" he smiled, "and thanks to their past actions, Fairy tail will be wearier of them."
"Yes, sir"
"We will have a celestial wizard" he smiled
"To use in the Eclipse project."
