Stepping from the shower, no matter how much Ren scrubbed with Nora's bath soap, he couldn't get rid of the scent of grape soda. Wrapping a pink towel around his waist, Ren stepped from the bathroom.
"Ren," said Jaune popping in front of Ren, "we need to talk," forcing Ren to sit on a bed, "We're friends, right?"
"More like teammates," replied Ren staring at his dark green long-sleeved tailcoat hanging from the coat rack at the foot of his bed.
"Does Pyhrra like me?"
Inching towards his tailcoat, "Did you ask her?"
"No, just the twins mentioned she liked me. They could be messing with me. I mean why would a cute, fun, quirky girl like Pyhrra see in me. Girls like Yang or Weiss are more my style sure Yang punched me for messing with her not Pyhrra. She's more like the girl who my parents would like or my sisters would tell embarrassing stories to. My mother would her like daughter in law so she can get her grandkids because my sisters don't like guys," taking out his scroll, "I wonder want Weiss is doing tonight," leaving, "Thanks for the talk, Ren," exiting the room
Sighing, then caught, "Know what is better then that towel," bringing his attention onto a smiling Nora, "me."
Grabbing his tailcoat , Ren dashed into the bathroom to dress.
"Even lien on Adam Taurus."
"More like the odds on favorite. We're lucky if we break even."
"Gambling on duty is a punishable offense," brought their attention on the Warden, "which I'm willing to over look Adam is killed during the match."
"That solves our profit margin. Wouldn't that be counterproductive to kill Adam."
"His death will send a message."
"Or make him a martyr."
"Dead men can't defend themselves from slander."
"It's been awhile since we had a good prison revolt."
Entering part of the Maiden shrine dedicated to the Summer Maiden Artemis, Blake stopped at the statue of Artemis with her crossbow. Kneeling on a pillow, Blake dripped her index and middle finger of her right hand into the jar of water.
Pressing her fingers against her lips, "Oh Summer Maiden who readies the hunt," she prayed, "I know Tartarus won't hold Adam. My mind is uneasy. A storm is coming. I don't know how it prepare for it. Give me the strength to survive."
Kissing the two fingers of her left hand, she dripped it into jar of sand. Blowing the grains of sand towards the statue of Artemis, Blake stood up catching the sight of Pyhrra exiting the shrine.
Quickening her pace, she caught the sight of Pyhrra's back. Catching up with Pyhrra, Blake's hand on Pyhrra's shoulder caused Pyhrra to jump.
"Oh, Blake," replied Pyhrra trying to smile without revealing her embarrassment, "That was a good fight in the cafeteria we had."
"Pyhrra, do you worship Artemis?"
"Why not she's the huntress maiden?"
"To faunus, she is. Hastia, the Fall Maiden and Iris, the Spring Maiden attend to be worship by humans because of farming. Minerva, the Winter Maiden, just reminds us to prepare for survival."
"You know a lot about the maidens and faunus.."
"I grew up in Menagerie."
"Bet that was tough being a human among faunus."
"You're from Argus."
"I'm a military brat."
"Oh, didn't get off the base that much."
"No."
"What were you praying for from Artemis?"
"I was praying for a successful hunt."
"What are you hunting?"
"A two-legged blonde blue eyed buck."
"It's going to take more then a maiden to catch Jaune."
"Maybe if lowered my chest plate, my cleavage would rival Yang. Wear tighter shorts or eat more to enhance my waistline"
"No, flash lien in his face."
"Why?"
"He moved on to Weiss. She has more lien then cleavage and waistline."
"Then he's like everyone else. Status and lien, not love."
"No, love allows tolerance. Patience allows understanding. Status and lien comes and goes."
"Does it work?"
"It's still under review."
