Hey, fairy tail fans, and welcome back to a fairy tail re-told today. We have the chapter you have all hopefully been waiting for. If not, I'm sorry, but this was the best outcome that I felt appropriate for Laxus to at least get his arc started and stuff, so I hope you all enjoy the chapter, and I hope that you all get some enjoyment out of this chapter, not to mention the other fight that is going to happen so let's get ready, to continue a fairy tail re-told
Good news: I have officially finished both the Grand magic game and eclipse gate arcs so as of now I'm just rolling out the chapters the update schedule for the most part will remain the same until I have caught up with myself, so on the slim chance that I vanish from the face of the earth again at the very least I can promise that you receive at least a semi-completed story.
Good news part two: over the course of the remaining chapters there will be updates to the previous arc specifically the rise of fairy tail saga nothing that will change the course of the story but just letting you know if you want to go and check it out. It will all be worldbuilding stuff I should have admittedly placed in those chapters when I wrote but foresight is 2020
Side note: also there is a small chance nothing too major but there is a chance I will start up a new story while taking a break from writing this one I want to confirm that that story will not have an effect on how this story is written

"what's going on," Natsu asked. "Laxus is getting destroyed."
"It has to be that Alexei," Wendy told him, "I can hardly sense any magic power from him" Wendy looked like Alexie towered over Laxus "what is he," she asked.
"Laxus may be down, but he's not out," Lola called "his attacks have barely scratched Alexie."
"I'm not surprised he can be overwhelming," Yajima said
"But I barely sense any magic power from him," Lahar said, "what kind of magic could he be using," Lahar asked, "could he be holding back."
"Whatever the case may be," Lola said, "if this keeps going, Dragon tail may be down one of their strongest," Lola called, "will this be the end for Laxus."
"This is the great Laxus," Lily asked, " I was expecting more from him after how everyone talked to him up."
"Maybe he's feeling conflicted." Carla said "I mean his father does have a connection with Raven tail"
"Come on, Laxus," Happy screamed, "this isn't like you at all."
Inside the Illusion, Laxus glared at his father "so, you created Raven tail to destroy fairy tail," Laxus asked. He knew that they had enemies, but to have someone specifically go out their way to create a group that could destroy you, he had to hand it to those kids they certainly knew how to become a thorn in someone's side, the last time he heard the previous group that wanted them dead was the Seven kin of Purgatory "you know how many guys have tried that" Laxus asked "what makes your team so special" to this Ivan laughed.
"I handpicked each member with a special magic that fairy tail is ill-equipped to deal with," Ivan said. 'At first, I had Imitatia, but we lost her after the infinity clock, and making a doll of that level takes time.' He smiled "we will be the ones to destroy fairy tail" Ivan shouted
"Once and for all."
Sky dragon vs. Sky god
"Of our master's guild," Kurohebi said, "we are some of his elite."
"taking us all on would be akin to suicide boy," Ivan said "we have been going over every way to bring fairy tail to their knees, not even Makarov could handle all of us at once," he laughed, "but if our words aren't enough, then fine come at us then, we will show you the might of Raven tail."
"The old man has been doing his homework too," Laxus said, making Ivan stop in his tracks.
"What," Ivan said, "the little troll spies on us."
to this, Laxus laughed, "everything from your ranks, and location" he smiled "to your funds, and members" he said "he and Mavis know it all" the look of confusion on his face was all Laxus needed to see "you were a threat, and as such Mavis was looking for a way to keep the upper hand on you" he smiled "and you clearly have them worried cause she sent one of her sprengeri to watch after you" Laxus said, "and trust me when she lets one of them off the leash, no stone is left unturned."
"I've never heard of them," Ivan muttered.
"And you never will," Laxus said, "even I don't know their full ranks."
this got a chuckle from Ivan "oh so you think you're being cute boy" he shouted
"listen here pops" Laxus said a hint of disappointment in his voice "I'm adorable"
"Master, it could have been Gajeel," Flare said, "he's our only double agent in their ranks."
"I knew we couldn't trust that iron chomping freak," Nullpudding said in the stands Gajeel let out a sneeze.
"Are you getting sick" Mira asked
"I hope not," Gajeel said, "man, this sucks."
"So, wait," Cosmos asked. "Ivan made Raven tail with the intended purpose of destroying you," she asked.
"We have ears there," Mavis said, "and a good readout on all their locations and activities."
"But try as we might, a few of their members did get by us," Makarov said "that Alexie fellow," Makarov said, "I had no idea he existed before now."
"He could be another doll," Cosmos said, "it would explain why Laxus attacks did nothing to him," Cosmos said "didn't Wendy say that Imitatia was unable to feel pain," she asked.
"That could be it," Makarov said, "We should keep our eyes peeled," Makarov said, "did sprengeri five bring you all the information" to this, Mavis nodded as Cosmo watched the pair confused. They clearly had all this laid out in front of them. She was honestly impressed "good, we should review it. Maybe there is something we missed."
"I'll go over it later tonight," Mavis said
"Does this seem strange to anyone else?" Flare asked,
"If you knew our secret, why didn't you act on it," Nullpudding asked
"Cause the stubborn fools like to hold back when they shouldn't." Laxus told them "for better or worse, Mavis' teachings linger in my grandpa whether he likes it or not," Laxus said
Flashback
it was a quiet day at the dragon pub as Laxus sat with his grandfather "so where is he now" Laxus asked, "my father."
"Knowing Ivan, he went back into hiding," Makarov said, "and Raven tail has been inactive for the past few months," he explained, "it's nothing we should worry about."
"So, what," Laxus asked "you're just going to ignore the guy," Laxus said, "he holds onto grudges longer than I do."
"True," Makarov said, "but seeing you again," Makarov stated, "it made me realize how pointless it all is" Makarov let out a tired sigh. "Ivan will get his due, and whether it's me who does it is all in the winds now," he smiled "we have more important things to worry about," Makarov said, "whatever Ivan does is not important to us anymore." he turned to walk away "it's better for us if we don't worry about everything he does," Makarov said
"But doesn't he have dirt on you," Laxus asked

"Everyone has skeletons they'd rather leave in the closet," Makarov said, "things have been quiet," Makarov said, "the country is experiencing an extraordinary time of peace," Makarov said, "and as long as he is not trying to make trouble, I don't plan on making trouble for him either."

"He believed in you," Laxus said, "despite everything you've done, cause your his son."
"You think I give a damn" Ivan shouted, "he thinks I was being passive out of the goodness of my heart," he screamed. "Your pathetic leftovers barely knew anything about the lumen histoire," he shouted, "even fairy tails sole survivor didn't know about it" he shouted "I looked everywhere and yet I haven't found it" he shouted "now boy tell me where it is" he called again "your my son aren't you; we're supposed to be family."
those words struck a chord with Laxus as he thought back, back to a time when he was fairy tails enemy
"My friends are the reason I need to get stronger, I need to be strong enough so I can protect them.'
'We may not share blood ties, but that doesn't mean we can't be family, because in the end, we all need a reason to achieve strength, and sometimes the best reason, is the need to protect those you love.'
"I see," Ivan said, "so you were testing the limits of my power," he smiled "or is something else," he asked, "can't bring yourself to attack your father, what a good boy I've raised, my sweet little Laxus."

Laxus said nothing glaring at his father he didn't know what to do at this moment this was his father "Laxus," a voice called. He turned to Makarov, his grandfather, giving him the sign that told him he was looking his way.
"Come on," two more voices called Laxus looked around to see that Mira and Natsu where standing on the podiums "what the hell are you doing, get up Laxus" they screamed "you're supposed to be the best there is," they shouted, "show them why."
"Come on, Laxus," Freed's voice came in, "you can do this."
"we're right here for you, buddy," Bickslow shouted, "so come on."
"We believe in you," Evergreen shouted. "I know you can do it."
despite everything, despite how he treated them, the things he made them do, he made them betray each other, fight their friends forsake people they cared about, yet here they were cheering him on because in the end though they might not be blood they were the closet thing he had to a real family, memories of their time together started to flow through Laxus mind his training with the thunder legion with Makarov to the time he spent with Natsu, and Mira he remembered being happy that he had a place to belong and every time he tried to imagine what it would be like to have a family they were the only people he saw
'What do you think master is going to teach us today" Freed asked
"Hey Laxus, look" Bickslow then made a shadow puppet which was enough to get a laugh out of Laxus, a rare sight in his eyes
'Behold, I am the fairy queen, Evergreen bragged
"More like dairy queen Ever," Laxus joked as he noted the milk mustache she had, making the girl blush.
"hey" she shouted
"Hey Laxus," Natsu called, "you should have seen yourself on that job."
"Yeah," Mira said, "you're the coolest."
"Nothing can take you down."
"Now Obra," Ivan screamed, "drain his magic, show him our true power," he cried, but before Obra could, Laxus was on top of him, punching him away as landing against the wall "what," Ivan said as Laxus turned to face him.

"{Red hair scorn}" Flare shouted as Laxus jumped out of the way
"{needle blast"} Nullpudding as Laxus effortlessly dodged his attacks
"As for you," he said, "Gray sends his regards," he shouted, punching him as he felt Flare grip his arm, pulling him back
"I got you now, blondie," she screamed
"Next time you decide to pick on little girls," Laxus screamed "better make sure I don't hear about it," he shouted as he shot his lighting drakon breath attack at her. She let out a scream as she was knocked down as well. Ivan stood back in shock as Kurohebi appeared behind him "man, you are a creep," Laxus said, "get lost, loser."
"No, impossible," Ivan said "these were all my best wizards that I had left," he screamed.
"Now, listen here, deadbeat," Laxus said as he walked up to him. "I don't know what your goal is here, and frankly, I don't care," Laxus screamed, "but there's only one thing you're getting for you trouble, pain," he shouted.
"Wait, Laxus," Ivan said, "you would harm me," he tried to reason, "I'm your father, your own flesh and blood."
"I don't care;" Laxus screamed his gaze shifting to his friends his grandfather "cause they're my only family now," he screamed
"Then you will share in their doom, you pathetic ingrate" Ivan shouted "{Shikigami tomb"} he called only for Laxus to bust through the attack with his lighting
"And any who threaten them," he screamed, "gets no mercy from me," he shouted as he punched his father, shattering the Illusion as everyone looked in shock as Laxus towered above all of Raven tail
"What is this" Lola called
"Wait, an illusion," Natsu asked
"Then that means," Mira muttered
"So, it was him," Mavis muttered
"Ivan" Makarov muttered
"All of their members are down there," Happy said
"If that's the case, then whose" Lily looked to the side to see that the Raven tail members that we're in the stands had also disappeared. "what"
"It would appear the fight we were watching was just an Illusion," Lola said, "but it seems that Laxus persevered and took down the whole team."
"Hey, I know that face," Mato said, "holy moly Alexie was master Ivan the whole time."
"a single member," someone said, "he took down the whole team."
"You surprised," someone else said, "that is Makarov's, grandson, and he's one of the ten wizard saints." in the stands, Ogra smiled at this look like he would get a challenge in these games after all.
"Look like we have our winner dragon tail," Lola shouted
"Five of their members participated in a one-on-one match," Yajima said," this is a clear violation of the tournament rules."
"The winner of the third match is Laxus Dreyer," Mato shouted as the crowd started to cheer.
"I was all set to take revenge on those jerks," Gray said, "guess we don't have to worry about it now."
"The guy is such a glory hog," Natsu laughed.
"I hope Laxus didn't go too hard on Flare," Lucy muttered, "she was being abused."
"You truly are a kind soul, Lucy," Erza said
"This is what your tricks brought you," Makarov glared "disgrace."
"Laki," Mavis said into the communication lacrmia, "I want your hand all over the information we have on Raven tail," she said, "this might be our only chance to get them to put the guild away for good."
"You got it, boss," Laki said over the lacrmia.
"Laxus," Ivan called as he watched his son leave the arena. "I'll admit you beat me this time," he said, "but know this, the lumen histoire is your family's darkest secret," he said "soon, you will know the people you're fighting for," he laughed as the guards started to drag him away.
"We are going to ask you guys some questions." one of them said
one of them went to pick up Obra only for the body to start falling apart "what" someone said, "Is this that doll magic I keep hearing about" he asked. He didn't notice a small creature fall from it, a brown wood-like body with white eyes in a black cloak with a leaf crown. It laughed as it ran off "stand up dead weight," someone said as the body fully turned to dust.
"After some deliberation," Lola said, "Raven tail is now officially disqualified from the tournament," he explained. "and such will not be allowed to participate in the grand magic games for the next five years"
"Good riddance," Yajima said
Obra ran up the side of the wall until he came to a person she was covered by a blue travelers hood smiling as Obra ran up their shoulder she handed him a small fruit "did you do as I asked my friend" Obra nodded before going up to her ear whispering something as it backed up a smile formed on her face "I see, I guess we can stay and watch" the hooded person said "I do want to see how strong they've gotten"
"So, let's see how much the little fledgling has grown."

"Sorry about that, folks," Mato said, "so what do you say we put all that behind us and move on to match four," he said as the crowd cheered, "and sure to be a treat."
"For our fourth match, we have team fairy tail's, Wendy Marvell," Lola said
"Ah yeah," Wendy said, slamming her fist together "finally, a good excuse to brawl."
"Are you sure she can handle this" Lucy said "we're all still recovering from pandemonium"
"hey her and Natsu our best bet cause they can restore magic energy by consuming their element," he told her "not to mention they can go hours fighting opponents with any rest or sleep"
"Yeah I guess your right" Lucy said "but I think the term your looking for is hard-headed" Lucy said
"Versus, team Ferrous Cinco's Sherria Blendy," Lola shouted
"Can you feel the love" Sherria shouted
"Oh yeah," the crowd cheered
"They have no idea how powerful Sherria is," Lyon said. "I can't wait to see Gray's face when she shows off her magic," he said through his mind was on Juvia.
"You were thinking about Juvia," Yuka said
"don't blame a man who is in love," Lyon said
"My sock can rest in peace now," Tobey cried "thank you, dragon tail."
"You can do this," Jura said, "give it your all and make us proud."
"don't worry, I will," Sherria said
"This should be easy," Ooba said "they're all still weak from the event from earlier" she laughed "show them the might of Lamia scale child"
"Now contestants come on down to the arena," Mato said "let's get this party started," he said as Sherria and Wendy both entered the arena. Only Sherria tripped, falling over flat on her face.
"Oh, my goodness, are you okay," Wendy said. 'Reminds me when I used to fall down all the time,' Wendy thought to herself.
"Oh yeah, I'm fine," Sherria said, "nice to meet you."
"Yeah, you too," Wendy said
"Even from here," Dornbolt muttered, "I can see how happier she is now" he smiled. "I'm glad she got her family back."
"That girl confuses me," Carla said
"Aye," Happy said," she looks like an airhead," Happy said, "but we should know better than to judge a book by its cover."
"Happy's right," Lily said, "but don't worry, Wendy is pretty strong," Lily said, "she's going to make her see stars."
"Oh yeah," Laki shouted, "come on, Wendy, you got this"
"Once again, we're ended the day with two lovely ladies going head-to-head," Lola called "be sure to do your best out there," he said with hearts in his eyes
"Please sit down," Lahar muttered
"And stop waving your tail at me," Yajima shouted
"Her magic power," Mavis muttered, "there's something about it."
"You feel that," Jellal said
"I think we've hit gold," Meredy said. "I don't know why, but I can sense the magic power of Zeref in the air," Meredy said as Rosello hid behind her leg.
"Where is it," Ultear asked.
"it's in the arena," Jellal said. "Wendy's fighting the source," he said
"she's what" Meredy screamed
"and let the battle begin" Mato shouted
"I can't wait to see how Gray reacts to Sherria," Lyon said, "the look on his face is going to be priceless."
"I wish I could see Lyons's face when Wendy wins this match," Gray said
"These two ladies certainly have their work cut out for them," Lola said. "Mr. Yajima as our resident fairy tail expert. What do you have to say on current fairy tail member on the field"?
"I haven't had too many interactions with this one," Yajima said
"I have met her on occasion." Lahar said, "and while it may have been brief, I can say that she is indeed a brave wizard," he said
"I need to relax," Wendy said "here I come," Wendy shouted "{Sky dragons: wing attack}" she shouted as Sherria jumped out of the way "she's so fast," Wendy muttered as Sherria danced around her
"Wind, oh wind, rouse the sky and rip the land asunder," Sherria said "{sky gods dance}" she screamed as Wendy gave a shocked look before being blown back
"Wait, black wind," Natsu shouted as he ran up

"This isn't good," Wendy said as she was shot into the sky "it can't be."
"Our little Sherria is full of surprises," Lyon said
"Damn it," Wendy shouted, "oh swift wind grants me the stalwart might to cleanse the heavens{Arms}" Wendy's magic power shot from her, making Sherria smile "sky dragons."
"o northern winds become the breath of a god and rage across the land," Sherria said, "sky gods."
"Wait, what did she say," Gajeel asked in shock.
"Oh no," Happy and Carla said as Lily looked in shock
"there's no way," Ogra shouted
"Are they using the same type of magic?" Dornbolt said as the girls finished charging up their attack
"{wave wind}"
"{Boreas}"
the two attacks collied, creating a strong gust of wind blowing everyone back. Even Lola's wig flew off from the force of the attack as Wendy and Serria tried to overpower the other as the attack ended, Sherria ran around before puffing her cheeks "now take this" she screamed "{sky gods: bellow}" she called as she let out her breath attack catching Wendy as she let out a scream sending her to the ground.
"That the same magic that Zancrow guy used," Happy shouted
"Yes," Carla said, "and if I recall, Natsu was at a disadvantage."
"To think that punk wouldn't be the only one," Natsu muttered
"you've seen this magic before," Erza asked
"Yeah," Natsu said, "on Tenrou Island, one of the seven kin could use it, called himself a flame god slayer," he explained, "they're called god slayers," Natsu said, "the oldest type of lost magic."
"But he was a cakewalk for you right," Lucy said. "I mean, eating fire is your thing," Natsu said nothing as he watched the match. She could see the fear in his eyes.
"If Wendy wasn't there," Natsu said, "I don't think I would have won that fight" Natsu admitted "god slayers are more than just strong, against a dragon slayer there one advantage is that we can't eat their magic, if they're the matching element," Natsu said, "I'm not sure if Wendy can come out of this fight on top."
Wendy struggled to stand up 'damn it,' Wendy muttered. She could feel her body begin to shake 'it took Natsu and me everything we had to beat Zancrow, and still, we barely managed that' she got to her feet her injuries from pandemonium started to scream as well but she shook them off "I know what you are."
"Then you know you're outmatched," Sherria said "dragon hunter"
"there's barely a scratch on her," Romeo shouted
"Makes sense," Mavis said "this kind of magic is superior to the one Wendy uses," Mavis explained "there is only one way that Wendy can win this," she said, "but it's too dangerous."
"I'll be honest," Wendy said. "I didn't expect to meet one of your kind here," Wendy said
"Yeah," Sherria said smiling, "but Lyon told me all about you," she smiled, "espically that we use the same kind of magic, it's kinda fun, don't you think."
"You can say that," Wendy said 'I need to find a way around' Wendy said to herself, "come at me then" the two began to fight, and it was clear that Wendy was at a disadvantage despite her power nothing she really did seem to affect the girl.
"These two may be young, but their power is something else," Lola said "will Shellywelly blow Wendy away.
"What is wrong with him," Lahar asked.
"he's just showing the world what a clutz he is," Yajima sighed
Sherria knocked Wendy on the ground. 'I've gotten so strong,' Wendy thought to herself, 'what a way to blow my confidence' Wendy muttered. 'I made a promise to myself that day,' Wendy muttered, 'I can't break it now.'
Flashback
Wendy sat at a lake looking at he own reflection. It had been a month since she had lost everything. Just thinking about it was enough to bring her to tears. "I'm so sorry," she muttered. She was helpless; There was nothing she could do. She was a failure moving her head up. She removed one of the pigtails in her hair, looking it over.
'Why am I always left behind' she thot to herself. Her mind went back to Cait shelter, Jellal or Mystogen as everyone called him, and now while she wasn't abandoned again, it still hurt.
'Well, be together forever,' Carla told her.
'don't worry, kid,' Natsu had told her, 'We'll always be there for you.'
"I guess it's true," Wendy said, tears filling her eyes again before she wiped them, taking out the final ponytail. "there is a rule of the world that says I can't have a home or family," Wendy said as seh felt tears form on her face
"Wendy," Lily called. "Where could she be." Lily asked " I hope she's alright" he stopped when he saw her. "Wendy," he shouted as she stood up, her hair flowing in the wind. It was now shorter as she sighed, he could see remains of it floating in the wind she looked in the distance "Wendy" Lily called.
"I'm done crying" was all she said. "I have to get stronger," she said, fighting back the tears. "I will get stronger, and one day, I'll get my home back' she shouted "for Natsu, Erza, Gray, Lucy, for Mavis," she called again. "I won't let them down."
End flashback
Lily smiled as he watched Wendy stand up "don't worry." he said, "she has this"
"Come on, Wendy," Romeo shouted
"We know you can do this," Kinana shouted
"Time, I get serious," Wendy shouted as she started to eat the air around her.
"Oh, looks like you're getting serious," Sherria said 'I should get my fill to," she said
"I don't think Sherria has ever gorged on air in the middle of a battle," Jura said. "Wendy is clearly pushing her to her limits."
"Take this seriously, or you lose your favorite sock," Tobey shouted
"You're the only one with a sock fetish," Yuka said
"Just watch," Lyon told them "Sherria going to take home the gold for us for sure," Lyon said "there's a reason I asked her to be on the team"

"Take this," Wendy shouted as she gathered the air around her black wind also started to form as Wendy smiled 'just like I planned' she thought to herself, "{dragon slayer secret art shattering light: sky drill"} she screamed.
"Oh yeah," Sherria shouted, "{god slayer secret art: Heavenly Gathering of Clouds"} she screamed as the attacks created another large gust of wind as everyone grabbed on to something.
"don't look, boys," Ooba said
"Stop it, ya old hag," Yuka shouted
"You want me to have nightmares again," Tobey shouted
Sherria was blown back from the attack as the wind blew around Wendy as she fell to the ground letting out puffs of air as she looked at Sherria "oh no, Sherria," Lyon shouted
"that's the way, Wendy," Kinana shouted
"I don't care how strong you are," Romeo said, "no one is walking away from that at point-blank range."
"I'm not done yet," Sherria said standing up, her body glowing
"Wait," Wendy said, "she can heal herself."
"Not many wizards can heal themselves in the midst of battle," Lyon said, "not even Wendy, for all her skill, can do that; Sherria has this one in the bag."
"Well, she is my cousin after all," Sherry said
"She has a bite to back up her bark," Tobey said
"Damn it, Lyon" Gray muttered
"Damn it," Natsu said, "god, slayers are annoying."
"And to think," Wendy thought to herself "she's holding back"
"Come on," Sherria said, "let's play a little longer."

Fairy tail and Lamia scale face off as they send in their youngest member to do battle on their part, and Wendy has come face to face with a god slayer. Will she be able to overcome this powerful magic, or is she in over her head, find out next time on a fairy tail re-told
