Lucy's vision cleared as she came to again, she looked to see the smiling faces of both Wendy and Carla "oh thank goodness you finally awake" Wendy said "I was starting to get worried" Wendy smiled as she sat down across from them she saw Elfman and Evergreen resting as well she was so using that later.
"What fight are they on," Lucy asked.
"Therein between fights right now," Wendy told her, "From the sounds of it, Blue Pegasus won," Wendy said, "little surprise there if you ask me."
"Good," Lucy muttered, "for a second, I thought I missed Natsu's fight."
"It's alright," Wendy told her, "He said he's going to check in on you before he goes in," Wendy told her.
"Yes," Carla said, "so just rest for now," she said as she tucked her in "we'll wake you when he gets here."

Battle of dragon slayers
"And let's get on to the second match," Lola called "from team Ferrous Cinco, we have Lyon and Yuka," he shouted as the crowd cheered, "and from the nymph five, we have Kagura and Millianna," he called as the two teams entered the arena.
"Awe yeah, we are feeling pumped," she called as the crowd started to cheer "come on, you can do better than that," she called as she followed Kagura into the arena.
"Mr. Yajima, who do you think is going to come out on top in this match," Lola asked.
"I couldn't tell you," Yajima said" this match could go either way for both teams.
"Lyon and Yuka are formidable opponents," Erza called "you need to stay focused to beat them."
"Oh, so you're rooting for the Nymphs," Gajeel asked.
"Yes," Erza told him. "Millianna and I are old friends," she told him, "So it makes sense for me to support her."
"What about you." Laxus asked, "your old pal Lyon is going out to battle," he asked, "you're not going to cheer him on."
"Why should I" Gray muttered "he's from a rival team," he said
"Nothing wrong with cheering on friendly rivals," Natsu told him. "Besides, he'd probably do the same for you," Natsu said "besides, I know I'm excited to watch this match," he said. "I have to tell everyone in the infirmary about it anyway," he said. He knew that he didn't have to but Still, he knew that they all wanted to watch, so he'd have some good stories to tell "this fight is going to be awesome."
"Who are you going to cheer for Levy," Happy asked. "I'm going to cheer on Millianna only cause I've known her since the tower of heaven stuff."
"Yeah," Levy asked, "we'll I'm going to be cheering on Lyon only cause he and his guild are always helping us," she told him, "It's the least we could do."
"What a noble cause," Macao told her like the other guys next to him started to blush "we're going to cheer on the mermaids because they're hot."

"So," Mira asked, scooting up to Juvia, "are you going to cheer for Lyon," she asked with a teasing grin.
"Has he declared his undying love for you," Cana asked, "inquiring minds want to know?"
"Umm kinda," Juvia said, a little embarrassed though she didn't say it. She wished she could be on a team with Gray ever since her recovery; it seemed like forces were preventing her from being with her beloved to hell with Lyon. She just wanted to be alone with Gray for more than ten minutes. They would be the perfect pair. Why can't anyone see that her time would come? It would "what about you, Laki," Juvia said after her rambling was over "are you going to cheer for Lyon," she said, hoping to get Mira and Cana on someone else 'sorry, Laki.'
"As if," Laki screamed, "in fact, I hope it's a total blowout," she shouted
"What's the story there," Mira asked Kinana
"During the infinity clock stuff, she and Lyon got paired up a lot," Kinana whispered "they argued like an old married couple," she said
"Yeah," Bisca said, "They were almost as bad as Natsu and Lisanna were when it came to arguing"
"Wait, so that means," Mira asked
"they're in love," Happy teased
"No, we are not," Laki screamed, "as if I would like such a novice at maker magic," Laki huffed, "kick his face in Kagura," Laki called.
"I swear," Makarov muttered, "you kids are destructive with flirting these days" Makarov shook his head.
"You have no room to talk, Maki," Mavis said
"This is not flirting," Laki screamed as her friend laughed at her expanse "why am I friends with you jerks again."
"Because you love us," Happy told her, coming to her side, "and your life would be incomplete without us by your side teasing and making you laugh all the time," he told her with a smug look on his face "am I wrong."
Laki's face turned a light pink. "I missed you guys," she said
In the arena, Millianna thought, went back to Jellal. She knew that fairy tail and dragon tail combined teams to make the battel portions even but still did they know the identity of Mystogen? What was his purpose? Was he watching them right now? "Millianna," Kagura's voice called, pulling her from her thoughts, "you need to focus on the here and now."
"I am focused," Millianna said
"Tell you what," Kagura said "why don't you take them on yourself at first," Kagira told her. "I'll be on standby if you need me," she said as she backed up "these are tough opponents, so you need to b on your guard."
"We need to stay focused," Yuka told Lyon.
"Especially against Kagura," Lyon said '. That's it' Lyon thought to himself "if I can win this, it will surely win Juvia's heart," he cried as Yuka deadpanned behind him.
"Come on, man," Yuka shouted as the gong rung.

"You need to pay attention," Millianna shouted as she rushed at them "{kitty restraint tube}" she screamed as Lyon and Yuka jumped out of the way.
"Millianna's taking them on by herself," Risley asked, "Is she ready for something like that."
"I don't know," Beth said, "these guys are some of the strongest guys from Lamia scale."
"Kagura thinks she can handle it," Araña said "let's hope that her faith is not misplaced," she muttered as Millianna continued to attack using her tube as a whip as Lyon and Yuka jumped around.
"This will be embarrassing if she beat them by herself," Sherry said "we'll be the laughing stock of the entire game," she muttered.
"I don't know what those Mermaids are up to, " Ooba said, "but Lyon and Yuka got this"
"What is Kagura doing," Yuka asked, "she's just standing there."
"Hold on," Lyon said, "{ice make: eagle}" he shot his attack only for Millianna to jump in the way using her tube to block the attack shattering the ice.
"Your fight is with me," Millianna shouted as she jumped up "{Kitten blast}" she called as s bright light shined around Yuka, confusing him as nothing happened only for Millianna to jump shoulders and wrap her legs around his neck in a seated position and unleashed a flurry of swift punches on his face making the man back up in shock.
"Man, Millianna is going all in," Erza said, impressed "she must feel more confident sense her teammate will back her up if needed."
"come on, boys," Millianna said, "you aren't scared, are you," she said as she took off her gloves "don't I won't blame you, I've been training with Kagura every day ever since I joined up with her," she said as she showed off her sharp nails "{Secret Weapon: Scratch Attack}" she shouted as she rushed passed scratching their face "did I leave a booboo," she said
"I was not expecting that," Lola said. "Millianna is holding her own against Lyon and Yuka," he said
"It has to be her nimble cat-like features," Yajima said, "that would give any skilled wizard a hard time."
"Stupid cat," Yuka muttered. "I'm going to remove those claws."
"We need to stop up our game," Lyon said
"{kitty restraint tube}" she shouted as Yuka blocked it
"My waves can block any magic attack you through at me," he shouted
"Then take this," Millianna called, "{bad kitty restraint tube}" double triple" Millianna stopped forgetting what came after three "a bunch of them" she called as they all struck Yuka wave only one managed to get around grabbing him by the arm pulling him back
"{ice make: eagle}" Lyon shouted, cutting the tube freeing his friend "get ready. She's throwing more."
"I can show you how many if you want," Millianna shouted as she moe tubes at Lyon and Yuka trapping them "you ready to give up, boys" Millianna called.
"Damn it," Yuka muttered.
"What do we do now" Lyon whined "at this rate, I'll never be able to impress Juvia," he cried as Yuka shook his head. "I have an idea," he said, "cause I have more than skill; I have intelligence," he said "{ice make: mouse}" he said as a tiny mouse appeared under Millianna catching her attention as she started chasing it.
"that's a dirty trick jerk face," Millianna shouted
"There," he said, "you should cool off," Lyon called "{blizzard}" he screamed as a significant snowstorm appeared over the sky as Millianna started to shiver
"Cats hate the cold," she screamed as she noticed a lamp next to her "oh yes, we kitties love to snuggle up with warmth and fire," she said before realizing what had happened "stop that, you ice freak, or I'll scratch out your eyeballs" she screamed
"How dare he," Risley shouted, "torturing Millianna like that."
"That Lyon does have a reputation." Araña said, "he's deceitfully cunning"
"don't you too think you're giving him too much credit," Beth asked
"did you see Juvia, my clever strategy" he called only to see Juvia shaking in fear "that's not the look I wanted" at that moment, he forgot that on the first day after Eve's snow attack led to Juvia having a panic attack, and it was no different after his blizzard attack the poor thing didn't like being trapped in the snow anymore
"Lyon has quite the rap sheet," Kagura muttered, "yet he has yet to land a single blow against Millianna."
"This fight is amazing" Mato screamed.
"Hurry it up," Ooba shouted, "or I'll spin you so bad you'll be walking funny for weeks."
"what's it like to be spun by the old hag," Sherria asked
"Horrible," Sherry replied, "she spins you so bad you can't tell up from down or right from left."
"We need to hurry up," Yuka said, "It feels like we've been fighting for a while."
"I wanted to save this for Kagura," Lyon muttered "{Ice make: snow tiger}" he shouted as Millianna screamed in fear.
"I like kitties but tigers not so much." Millianna screamed before running into a wall as she slid down "sorry, Kagura."
"Look like I have to fight after all," Kagura said
"So glad you could join us," Lyon said
"{wave}" Yuka shouted as Kagura stepped to the side
"you can nullify your opponent's magic," Kagura said, "but against me, that's nothing," she screamed
"Kagura hasn't even used magic yet, but she doesn't need it to take on Yuka," Lola screamed.
"Take this," Yuka shouted, only for Kagura to appear behind him "it's over," she said as Yuka fell to the ground.
"didn't even give him time to blink," Natsu said. "I could barely see her" next to him; Gajeel nodded. It was like the girl became a blur. Both prided themselves on their senses, but even they would have a hard time against someone like that.
"The Ferrous Cinco is in trouble now," Lola called "looks like it Kagura versus Lyon in a one-on-one battle," he screamed as the two glared at each other.
"She took down Yuka without even drawing her sword," Laxus said
"Kagura Mikazuchi," Erza said, "personally trained by Riana Kakuma, so it's no surprise that she's skilled with a sword," Erza said, "and her magic to boot, you can tell she's holding back."
"True," Gajeel said, "but I doubt she'd last against my Iron dragon sword," Gajeel bragged.
"You think Lyon can take her," Sherria asked.
"He was barely able to take on Millianna," Sherry muttered
"don't worry," Ooba shouted "our Lyon knows what he's doing," she cried "he has tons of power hidden under that cool facade."
"I know a lot about you," Kagura started as she and Lyon faced off "you once called yourself the cold emperor and performed a dangerous ritual in the hops of facing the demon Deliroa."
"That was a long time ago," Lyon told her "These days, I'm just Lyon Vastia, a proud member of the Lamia Scale guild." he then turned to face Kagura "you know, you remind? me of myself back then, bitter and angry."
"Can I ask you something," Kagura said, "I noticed you didn't land a single attack on Millianna, was cause she's a girl, or were you holding back?"
"Why don't you come and find out" Lyon shouted as he got ready "{Ice makes: dragonfly"} he screamed as Kagura dodged around his attacks "{now Ice makes: eagle}" he tried, but Kagura slashed him back, sending him to the ground
"Is that all," Kagura shouted, "I thought we came here to fight; I'm starting to get bored."
"Is this the end for Lyon," Lola called.
"What the hell do you think you're doing" a voice called Lyon looked up to see Gray, "and you have the nerve to call yourself master Ur's student. If she could see you right now, she'd be embarrassed." she shouted "you and I both know you could do better" he shouted.
"Gray," Lyon muttered

"Sorry, but it's time I get serious," Lyon shouted 'he's right, I can't let my master down' he turned to see Juvia 'I was so focused on my love for her that I forgot the reason I started down this path in the first place' now {ice make: snow tiger, ape, and Ice dragon}" he said as his three strongest creations appeared next to him "I doubt even you can dodge all three of these," he said as they attacked Kagura forcing her to move.
"You think this will be enough to stop me" Kagura shouted
"No, just slow you down enough so I can do this," Lyon called "{Ice-Make: Ice Geyser}" he called as Kagura was caught by the attack making her jump back as she landed on the ground a smile on his face as he and Kagura continued there staring match "master Ur would be disappointed in me if I gave this fight any less than one hundred percent"
"impressive" Riana said
"who's Ur," Beth asked
"she was a powerful ice wizard that was said to live up north," Riana said "she died sealing off the demon Deliora, had she lived there is no doubt she would be counted among the ten wizard saints"
"and Lyon was her student," Beth asked "I can see where his skill comes from"
"don't worry," Risley said "our girl Kagura has this"
"it won't be an easy victory," Riana said "it will surely put Kagura's skills to the test"
"Take this," she should as a giant magic circle opened above them as Lyon was dragged up "you're going down," she screamed as she slashed through all the ice. Before she could land a blow on Lyon, a bell went off, forcing her to stop near his face as the two glared at each other
"You know what that means," Mato said. "I declare this match a draw."
"You heard that right, folks," Lola called "looks like we have another draw on our hands."
"Man," Beth moaned, "we were so close."
"a draw is better than a loss," Risley said, "if Kagura's okay with it, then we should be too."
"That Kagura is dangerous" Yuka said
"I get the feeling she was holding back, "Lyon said
"Yeah," Yuka said, "every story is the same with her, she never goes all out," Yuka said, "she's mermaid heel's top girl for a reason."
"I'm sorry, Kagura," Millianna said. "I let you down."
"it's fine," Kagura said, "but had this not be a match, you'd be dead," she told her "We need to train even harder from now on," she said
"right"
"The crowd is still excited from that last match," Lola said, "but the next match is going to be just as exciting," Lola said
"That means it's our turn," Mavis called
"About damn time," Macao said
"Oh yeah, come on, you two kick some ass and take some names," Cana screamed.
"Promise me you'll be safe out there," Juvia cried " no more Permanente injures," Juvia said
"I wouldn't count on that," Mira told her, much to Juvia's horror

Lucy woke up to see Natsu sitting over her. He smiled at her as she sat up "hey, are you feeling any better" he asked as she sat up.
"Yeah," Lucy said, "your match is about to start," Lucy asked
"Yeah," Natsu said, "and I'm going to win it for sure," he told her, smiling
"Natsu," Lucy said, "I believe in you," she said, "you know that right" she smiled at him, "and thank you," she said, "ever since Hargeon and beyond, you've been there for me," she smiled at him "so thank you, partner," she said
"Anytime," Natsu told her, "And thank you too," Natsu said, "for putting up with me" this was enough to get a laugh out of the pair as Wendy came into the room
"Oh, hey Natsu," Carla said as he started to leave
"Thanks for taking care of her," Natsu said, walking by. "I know she's in good hands." he told the pair as he left "I'm going to head in now"
"Alright" Wendy said "good luck in your fight big bro" Wendy called as Carla turned to Lucy
"Oh, look at the grin," Carla asked. "What were you two talking about," she asked.
"Hey Gajeel," Levy said
"Yeah," Gajeel said, "I gotta get going, so make it quick."
"I just wanna say thank you," Levy said, "you didn't have to do all this."
"Course I did," Gajeel said, looking away. "I owe you all that much," he whispered.
"But still," Levy said, walking up to him. "I know how you feel," she said, "and I just wanted to let you know that we're cheering for you just as much as we're cheering for Natsu " Levy smiled at him "so go out there and do your best," she said as Gajeel stopped a smile coming to his face as he turned to face her.
"Alright, I will," Gajeel said "thanks, Levy," he said as he started to leave.
"You ready," Natsu asked
"Yeah, let's rock," Gajeel said
"Natsu," a voice called
"Gajeel," another one said as they turned to see their exceed pals waiting for them.
"and now the battle that we've all been waiting for," Lola said, "two powerful teams are about to clash today in Domus flou the champions of the grand magic games, the Sabertooth tigers, and the unsung heroes fairy tail," he said as the crowd went silent as they two teams entered the "and they sent two of their most powerful wizards down to the field it's going to be Natsu and Gajeel, versus the knights themselves Sting and Rogue."
"Go get 'em, Sting," Lector called.
"I've been looking forward to this all my life," Sting said
deep in a volcanic area, Igneel stood up, dropping a rock into Lava. "I see," he muttered, "so the white dragon Weisslogia and shadow dragon Skiadrum survived for all these years" a smile worked his way to his face. "I wonder how the children will handle themselves"
"You believe that they will be a challenge," a voice called "you're getting soft old friend."
"Metalicanna," Igneel muttered. "A simple test," Igneel said "as you know, the dragon king festival draws near," he told him "Hopefully, our old friend was able to deliver our message," he said
above the arena, a hooded figure watched 'so the white and shadow dragons reveal themselves' she thought to herself 'there power is something else the second generation of dragon slayers" shaking her head she looked towards the castle "the gate will open in two days' time" she whispered, "I hope you're ready."
"The crowd is getting excited," Lola called
"Give them a thrashing, you guys," Gray called
"Get some hits in for us too," Laxus called
"Sounds like they're about to start," Wendy said
"I'm sure Natsu and Gajeel are going to win," Lucy said. "I have faith in them."
"This is it, Ladies and gentlemen," Lola called, "a battle of epic proportions is about to begin.

"You face formidable opponents, my children," Mavis whispered "give this battle everything you got"
"Prove your strength," Jiemma said, "show them who the true dragon slayers are"
"All these years," Sting thought to himself, "I've dreamed of fighting Natsu, and now I finally get the chance" he smiled as Mato jumped into the arena
"Everyone's dying to see this fight," he called "you have thirty minutes; battle begin."
"You ready" Sting called.
"Right," Rogue called only for Natsu and Gajeel to already be on top of them, a trail of dust behind them as they punched them away. as everyone looked in chock as Natsu and Gajeel grabbed the upper hand on Sting and Rogue
"{white dragon: roar}" Sting shouted as Natsu jumped out of the way
"a laser" Natsu shouted
"{shadow dragon: slash}" Rogue shouted as she tried to attack Gajeel, who blocked it with his sword sending him away as Natsu grabbed him, slamming him into Rogue.
"{fire dragons: wing attack}" Natsu screamed as Sting and Rogue flew to the ground.
"I don't believe it," Lola called. "Sting and Rogue have been overrun by fairy tail," he shouted as Sting and Rogue stood up.
"you guys are tough," Sting said, "makes it more fun."
"Tell me something," Natsu asked, "you beat dragons with that lousy power of yours."
"We killed them with our bare hands," Sting shouted
"I see," Natsu said as he and Gajeel stood back-to-back
"{white drive}" Sting muttered
"{shadow drive}" Rogue said as they faced off. The battle of the dragon slayers was about to begin.
