Hey fairy tail fans, and welcome back to a fairy tail re-told, and we have finally arrived at the battle of dragon slayers fairy tail vs. Sabertooth; the battle for Magnolia has begun. Will Natsu and Gajeel be able to overcome the power of Sting and Rogue, both of which are second-generation dragon slayers said to be the most potent form of dragon slayers so strong that they were able to kill their dragon mentors? The time has come for them to show the world how strong they are. Find out now on a fairy tail re-told

deep in a volcanic area, Igneel stood up, dropping a rock into Lava. "I see," he muttered, "so the white dragon Weisslogia and shadow dragon Skiadrum survived for all these years" a smile worked his way to his face. "I wonder how the children will handle themselves"

"You believe that they will be a challenge," a voice called "you're getting soft old friend."

"Metalicanna," Igneel muttered. "A simple test," Igneel said "as you know, the dragon king festival draws near," he told him. "Hopefully, our old friend was able to deliver our message," he said

The hooded person above the arena smiled. She was glad she could finally see those two in action, she could tell that Natsu and Gajeel have indeed grown strong 'and look at them' she thought to herself as Obra came to her shoulder 'standing side by side' she had to hold back tears as much as she wanted to go and be with them, for now, she must be an observer the only way for them to grow was for them face this challenge "prove to me your strength my young fledglings" she said, "show me your power."

"Two powerful teams are about to clash today in Domus flou the champions of the grand magic games, the Sabertooth tigers, and the unsung heroes fairy tail,"

"Tell me something," Natsu asked, "you beat dragons with that lousy power of yours."

"We killed them with our bare hands," Sting shouted

"I see," Natsu said as he and Gajeel stood back-to-back

"{white drive}" Sting muttered

"{shadow drive}" Rogue said as they faced off. The battle of the dragon slayer was about to begin.

Compassion and a firm hand

"The twin knights of Sabertooth," Mavis muttered, "they may have a similar magic to Natsu and Gajeel, but still we know nothing about how it works," she said, "predicting the outcome of this fight is all but impossible."

"Then we should cheer extra hard," Cosmos reasoned, to which Mavis nodded as she looked back into the arena where Natsu and Gajeel had a staredown with Sting and Rogue. across the arena, master Jiemma smiled

'Show me your power' he thought to himself 'show me that you are worthy of soring the heavens."

"the intense staring match continues; you could cut the tension here with a butter knife," Lola said "who will be the first to make a move," he asked as Sting shot from the ground, attacking Natsu with a flurry of punches "Sting lands a punch and fairy tails Natsu barely manages to block it" Lola shouted as Sting contained his attack.

"Feel my {white judgment}" Sting shouted as he punched him away

"Salamander," Gajeel called, but Rogue appeared behind him. He tried to attack him only for Rogue to disappear none of his attacks would land 'so this is his shadow magic' Gajeel asked as he punched to the ground

"Try as he might, Gajeel can't seem to get the upper hand on Rogues shadow drive."

"Try as you might," Rogue said as he continued to dodge Gajeel "you can't catch a shadow," he said as Gajeel hit him again as he kicked Gajeel into Natsu.

"Get out my way," the pair screamed.

"Your fights with us losers," Sting called as he and Rogue started their attacks.

"They drastically increased their power," Lily said. "I wasn't aware dragon slayers could do that."

"Come on, Natsu," Happy shouted.

"Come on," Sting shouted "aren't you supposed to be powerful, Salamander" he called as he got the upper hand on Natsu "what's that pitiful defense" next to them, Rogue continued his attack on Gajeel slicing his headband in half as he kicked him back.

"Not looking too good," Makarov said

"They used magic amplifiers to increase their power," Mavis explained, "combine that with their teamwork, and they're practically flawless."

"Am I the only one feeling let down here," Ogra asked

"They're lacking coordination in any way," Rufus said

"that's the way," Lector called, "you got them on the ropes."

"I'm cheering for you too" Frosh called.

In the infirmary, Porlyusica looked to the ceiling "the crowd's excitement took a huge turn," she muttered.

"You think Natsu and Gajeel are in trouble," Wendy asked

"Sting and Rogue might be too much for them," Carla said

"I'm not too worried," Wendy said "they got this" she looked back to see Lucy sitting up, "shouldn't you be resting."

"Like that's going to happen," Lucy told her. "I wanna be awake when he wins."

"Beating the crap out of my idol is pretty freaking sweet," Sting shouted as he continued to punch Natsu "all my life, I've wanted to show the world I'm better than you," he said as he landed a big punch on Natsu, "and now I finally get my chance" he shouted as he punched Natu away.

"That last hit was different," Erza said

"What," Gray said, "oh yeah, "Gray said, "he put a magic circle on him," Gray said as Natsu froze where he stood

"What the hell," Natsu asked, "what did you do to me."

"My white magic is branded with holy magic," Sting said, "any branded with its stigmata are paralyzed" an evil grin grew on his face, "now the real fun begins, now you're my new punching bag," Sting called out.

Gajeel still tried to land a hit on Rogue. However, he kept missing "a shadow dragon will always catch its prey," he said as he continued to appear around Gajeel, "and you will never see it coming," he said as he attacked again, only for Gajeel to catch him shocking Rogue.

"I would be so sure about that, pal," Gajeel said "now where were we"

"Like a boss," Jet called

"Give em hell, Gajeel' Droy called

"great," Levy said "for a moment there I thought he wouldn't be able to hit him"

"Rogue is skilled," Lily said as Levy was holding him, "but he can't compare to Gajeel when it comes to adaptability in a fight."

"Well, Natsu is good at stuff too," Happy said as Mira held him just as tightly "come on, Natsu, take him down," he shouted as Sting ran to punch Natsu, only for him to punch him the face, forcing him back.

"What," Sting said as he looked to Natsu with a devious smile on his face, "he burned off the stigmata."

"Your good," Natsu said as he cracked his knuckles, "but you'll have to do better."

"That's Natsu for you," Gray said, "brilliant and insane at the same time."

"He truly is one of a kind," Erza added.

"What happened? You were so cocky a moment ago," Gajeel said. "Don't underestimate fairy tail," Gajeel shouted as he punched him away, sending both into the wall.

"Ah yeah," Levy and Mira screamed

"Mira too tight," Happy said

"Curb your enthusiasm before it kills me," Lily begged.

"And just like that, the tide of battle has turned again," Lola called.

"you guys are awesome. No shock there," Sting said as he released a large amount of his magic power, "and when we decide to go all out, there's no way fire and steel can stop us," he said as his light completely blinded the arena so much that no one could see what was going on "{dragon slayer secret art: holy nova}" he screamed as large attack in a very massive, horizontal column of light.

"I can barely see the arena," Lola called "what is going on down there, Mr. Yajima."

"That kid-focused every ounce of his magic power into one spot," Yajima said as the light started to fade.

Sting smiled only until he looked up to see that Natsu and managed to block his attack "am I yes, Natsu managed to block that attack with just one hand" he called as Sting looked in horror as Natsu was practically unfazed by the attack that Sting sent his way. "Any comment Mr. Yajima I'm not sure what to make of this," he asked Yajima.

"No way," Ogra said

"I don't recall anyone ever blocking that attack," Rufus said

"Who knows," Minerva said, "if I didn't step in that night, we might have had quite the show."

"don't give up, Sting," Lector said as Gajeel knocked Rogue around

"Rogue no," Frosh muttered

"I knew the training they did in the celestial world had improved their strength," Mavis said as Natsu and Gajeel maintained the upper hand, "but I had no idea they'd be this powerful," she said, 'and this is without their second origins' above them. The hooded figure smiled. It looks like Natsu and Gajeel were alright, but the battle was far from over. A dragon slayer pushed into a corner was a most dangerous threat, and the white and shadow dragon slayer had one advantage over them that could prove to be the deciding factor in this match.

"They're on a whole other level now," Yajima said

"If I weren't watching it with my own eyes, I wouldn't believe it," Lola said, "will this match end with Sabertooth lying face down in the dirt."

"we're not done yet," Rogue said

"not like we expected this to be easy, ya know," Sting said "so give us some credit," he said as he looked back, his mind going back to Lector and the promise he made to himself as white scales started to grow on his body next to him black scales began to grow on Rogue as Natsu and Gajeel backed up in shock at the power they were feeling "I made a promise to Lector" he shouted, "and I'm going to keep it."

"Now the fools understand the power they face" Minerva smiled, This fight was over.

"No, they can activate it at will," Jellal asked

"I don't believe it," Meredy muttered

"The dragon force," Mavis whispered

"Wait, so Natsu was able to do that in the tower of heaven," Gray asked

"In a way," Erza said

"Natsu was only able to obtain that form by consuming etherion," Jellal said, "and by consuming all of my magic, but these two can activate it at will."

"Due to the magic seal placed on them," the hooded figure muttered, "Natsu and Gajeel are unable to enter their dragon force at will; however, the second generation doesn't have that problem as the seal no longer serves that purpose," she muttered "how will you deal with this I wonder my Fire and Iron fledglings" she smiled.

"Is this bad" Levy asked

"Probably," Mira said, "from what Natsu has told me, that form is the strongest point that he can reach," Mira said, "Natsu and Gajeel have their work cut out for them."

"They can take em" Laki shouted "come on, Natsu and Gajeel you got this"

"We are the second generation" Sting called "the world's first true dragon slayers" he called as he and Rogue got ready to continue

"We need to be on our guard," Natsu said

"Yeah," Gajeel told him as he activated his iron dragon scales, "no more messing around."

"Oh yeah, this match is ours now, thanks to the dragon force," Lector said. "I can't believe we were worried."

"I'm here cause I'm cute," Frosh said

"I've never seen this ability firsthand," Gray said, "is it as powerful as they say."

"yes," Erza said, remembering how Natsu completely destroyed Jellal when they fought in the tower of heaven "according to Natsu, the dragon force is the final, most powerful state a Dragon Slayer can attain; granting them power comparable to that which a real Dragon possess to destroy everything utterly everything." she explained, "they basically become half-dragon, Natsu and Gajeel are at a huge disadvantage."

"I don't like how quiet it is," Lucy muttered, "you think it's over."

"No," Porlyusica told her, "I think it's just begun."

"You wanna go watch," Carla asked.

"No," Lucy said, "I have faith that Natsu and Gajeel can see this through."

"You know, maybe keeping those seals on us was a bad idea," Gajeel said

"don't get cocky," Natsu said, "they're strong." the wind blew as Sting and Rogue smiled. They could see the nervous look on Natsu, and Gajeel faces both could tell that they didn't account for them going into dragon force

Sting leaped forward, knocking both Natsu and Gajeel back as Natsu jumped from the wall attempting to hit him only for him to block all his attacks with relative ease as he landed a devastating punch to Natsu's stomach behind them, Rogue landed a kick on Gajeel side before going over and kicking him away "woah, there so much faster" Levy called out.

"Natsu," Romeo called, "come on Gajeel, I know you can do this," he called as Sting and Rogue continued to pummel the helpless dragon slayers, they threw them into each as they flew into the sky

"{white dragon: roar}"

"{shadow dragon: roar}"

their attack combed creating a large explosion that destroyed part of the arena, creating a large crater as Natsui and Gajeel fell down catching themselves as Sting and Rogue followed after them in the infirmary, they could feel the shaking that the attack had caused "their power reaching all the way down here" Evergreen asked

"What did you expect," Porlyusica said "it's a battle between dragon slayers," she said, "I'm surprised it took so long."

everyone looked in shock at the hole that was left in the arena "the floor gave way from Sting and Rogues powerful attack."

"I can't see them," Makarov said

"What a powerful attack," Cosmos said

"Gajeel" Levy and Lily screamed

"Natsu," Mira and Happy screamed

"Come on, you guys," Romeo shouted

"Stay strong," Cana called, "don't let this stop you."

"What power" Erza muttered.

"These second-generation dragon slayers are no joke," Laxus muttered.

"You can say that again," Gray said

"We may have lost the battlefield, but we still have lacrmia vision," Lola called "so let's see how Natsu and Gajeel come back from this, Lola said, "or is this the end for fairy tail."

"You can't leave," Sting shouted, "we're not done yet."

Natsu landed on some rocks "{fire dragons: sword horn}" he shouted as he punched Sting into Rogue as Gajeel appeared behind them.

"{Iron dragon: roar}" he screamed, sending Rogue and Sting to the ground as the two shots from the ground smiled.

"The pureness of a white dragon," Sting said, "cleanses all" he screamed {holy ray}" he screamed as Natsu and Gajeel were bombarded by a barrage of beams which inflict heavy damage, striking them in rapid succession.

"If you won't be cleansed, then you will be consumed by the darkness," Rogue called. the large blast sent Natsu and Gajeel to the ground Sting rushed forward, slamming into Natsu, who was able to stop him

"{Fire dragons: Iron fist"} Nasu called only for Sting to jump out of the way, landing a good kick on Natsu's back.

"Man, Natsu is really struggling here," Jet said, "this back-and-forth crap is stressing me out."

"you're telling me," Droy said as Natsu and Gajeel continued to be attacked by Sting and Rogues' power; neither was able to get the upper hand on the dragon slayers due to the increase in the power granted by dragon force. Above the arena, the hoodie figure frowned her instinct to step in came back, but she ignored it. She had to have faith that they would see this through for them to grow. They would have to face such power and win.

"Lector, we've waited a long time for this moment," Sting thought to himself. "I won't fail my promise."

Flashback

Lector ran up to Sting, tears in his eyes "what's the matter Lector,"

"Why doesn't anyone believe you," Lector asked, "when I tell people that you beat a dragon with your bare hands, they just laugh."

"Let them talk," Sting told him, "Shouldn't matter to us."

"But your amazing Sting," Lector said "the whole world should know how great you are," he said. "I don't like it when people talk bad about my best friend."

"it's fine," Sting said "come on, let's enjoy this harvest festival a little more" he smiled as they started to walk around Magnolia as Sting tried to cheer his friend up "hey, have you seen Yukino," he asked as Lector shook his head, then a large explosion happened at the Cardia Cathedral as he ran with everyone to see what was going on he stopped in shock as Natsu, and Laxus busted from the place everyone stopped in shock as he and Natsu started fighting Laxus "what's going on."

"It's Natsu," someone said

"Is that Laxus," another person said

"How dare you challenge me" Laxus shouted

"I'm going to stop you, Laxus," Natsu said as he kicked Laxus. "I won't let you get your hands on Magnolia," Natsu shouted, "it's our home, and I won't let you destroy it."

Laxus punched Natsu into a part of the tower then slammed him "why won't you just die" he shouted as he kicked Natsu away, who fell on the roof."

"What's going on," Sting asked. He was stopped when the crowd started to cheer for Natsu as he watched him stand up, wholly broken and beaten, but he was still going. He was amazing Sting smiled as he began to cheer as this Natsu unleashed a flurry of attacks on Laxus, but the last words caught his attention

{Dragonslayer secret art: crimson lotus: exploding flame blade}."

"he's like me," Sting muttered in awe as the crowd started to chant Natsu's name "who's that? he asked"

"that's Natsu," he said, "the strongest guy in town."

"Oh yeah, he's awesome," another person said as they continued cheering. He looked to where he saw Natsu in the arms of another person. She had a look of relief on her face as she laid him down. He gave a toothy grin as people continued to cheer him on.

"That Natsu was awesome," Sting said it was a few hours after everything had calmed down Natsu had been taking away to get his wounds looked after still, Sting was burning with excitement He noticed that Lector still had sad look on his face "that's it," Sting said. knowing how to cheer his friend up. "I promise," he looked away, "that Natsu guy," he said "he's amazing, and one day," he smiled, "one day I'm going to beat him."

"You are," Lector said

"Yeah," Sting said, "he's so powerful," Sting said, "and what makes it better is he's a dragon slayer like me," Sting said, "I wonder if he's beaten any dragons," Sting asked, "but I know that will prove how strong I am," Sting said

"Yeah," Lector shouted, "I know you can do it, Sting."

"I believe in you."

End Flashback

"And now," Sting shouted, "the chosen son falls," he cried as he let out a large attack as Rogue jumped out of the way the entire area was destroyed "there's no way they're walking away from that," he then looked to Rogue "sorry I know Gajeel wasn't mine to take out."

"Atta boy Sting," Lector said

"It would seem our prey is all talk after all," Minerva said

"Was there ever any doubt?" Ogra said laughing

"No," Laki and Cana muttered, tears in their eyes

"Come on, Natsu," Happy said

in the infirmary, Evergreen looked around, feeling the rumbling going around. She shook her head "there a tension in the air," Evergreen said "

"This is Natsu and Gajeel we're talking about," Wendy said, "they're going to be okay."

"Yeah," she said "there going to be fine

"After an attack like that, it looks like Natsu and Gajeel won't be getting up," Lola said, "it was an intense fight, folks, but it looks like fairy tail has met their match."

"Just when I thought we had a fighting chance," Macao said

"They really took Natsu down," Wakaba said in shock

"Come on, get up" Romeo, and Happy called

"What are you doing? The fight isn't over yet," Lily called "get off your ass and get back in there," he screamed.

"Come on, Natsu," Laki shouted, "don't let them take you down."

"You hear them right, Natsu," Mira asked. "I know you hear them you need to get up," Mira said trying to hold back her tears.

"Looks like I was able to fulfill my promise," Sting said

"Their power is something else," Rogue said, "but their time is done now it is the time for the true dragon slayers."

"I wouldn't be so sure about that, pal," Natsu's voice called as he got back up "sorry about that," he muttered, but the words were directed at his friends as Sting and Rogue looked in shock as the crowd gave a loud cheer. above them, the hooded figure smiled look like she was worried for nothing

"Oh, thank goodness," Mira said

"Had me worried for a second there," Cana said. "I'm going to kill him once this is over.

"Not if I get to em first," Levy muttered as Jet and Droy nodded their heads.

"That's the way, Natsu," Happy screamed

"I knew Gajeel wasn't out of this yet," Lily said

"I wasn't too worried," Mavis said, "with as much as we have on the line, Natsu wouldn't go down that easy."

"My head," Natsu groaned as he stood up.

"Going to be feeling that one for a week," Gajeel told him

"it's as if their attack barely even fazed them," Lola called

"Not bad," Natsu said "but now we know all your little quirks," Natsu said

"Is this a bad dream?" Lector said, "how are they still standing."

"I don't know," Frosh replied

"We know the pattern of your attacks, how you defend, even the rhythm of your breathing," he laughed.

"that's impossible," Sting shouted, "we used dragon force; you shouldn't even be standing right now."

"Oh yeah, your definitely strong," Natsu told him "Feel like a train ran over me," he laughed, "but trust me when I say I've been hit way harder, freaking snow princess" above them, Meredy let out a sneeze, shocking Ultear, before looking back she hoped the girl wasn't catching a cold.

"Keep your composure," Rogue said, "he's clearly bluffing."

this was enough to get a laugh out of Gajeel "trust me, Salamander is not the bluffing type," he said

"I can bluff," Natsu shot back, "only when the situation calls for it."

"Whatever you say," Gajeel said, "you're the goody two shoes of the group, remember, the role model for the kids."

"Whatever, man," Natsu said

"Hey," Sting shouted, "we're your opponents," he cried, "you've seen our power," Sting said; "you don't hold a prayer."

"And here I wanted to save this trick for when I fought Jura," Natsu said" if I fought him anyway," Natsu said, completely ignoring Stings' outburst, "you know who going to be pissed at me regardless, though."

"What is she your mom" Gajeel teased

"One of the few women in our lives that can kick our ass," Natsu told him

"that's fair," he said

"Hey, where right here" Sting shouted

"Eh, whatever, I have more tricks up my sleeve in the case I have to fight him," Natsu said as turning to his partner "so shall we show the kids our party trick," Natsu asked.

"Thought you'd never ask," Gajeel said as scales started to grow on their bodies. A large amount of magic power entered the air above them Meredy let out a laugh as Natsu and Gajeel entered their dragon force. "I was getting sick of playing with them anyway." he smiled as everyone looked in shock.

"Yeah, we're getting all fired up."
