Hey, fairy tail fans, and welcome back to a fairy tail re-told; the final day of the grand magic games continues as our heroes face off against the might of the remaining teams. what plans did Mavis give our heroes so they could overcome these powerful foes, how will the other teams deal with fairy tail clear advantage find out the answers to these questions and more, on a fairy tail re-told

Natsu: well, not like they're wrong

"Too bad for you," Gray shouted. "I've felt flames much hotter than that," he shouted as Rufus looked in fear as Gray closed the distance between them "now feel my {Ice Blade: Seven Slice Dance}" he called as he passed Rufus ice exploding from him as his hat was knocked off as gray turned around "and now to finish this" Gray called "{ice make: geyser}" he screamed as he was knocked to the ground as Gray gripped his hat placing it on his head.

"Looks like Gray is taking a symbol of victory," Lola called, "with an amazing come from behind victory." Lola said, "Rufus snagged the top spot from Gray on the first day; it looks like revenge is truly a dish best served cold."

"I'm too shocked for words," Mato said

"Those kids always did know who to find a way out of tough spots," Yakima said

"And thanks to that adaptability, Gray has earned his team another point," Lola said

"Way to stick it to 'em, Gray," Macao called out.

"Mavis let out a sigh of relief "good job, Gray," Mavis said, "I'm sorry I ever doubted you."

"he's such an icy hunk," Juvia screamed.

"Would have gone a lot faster if he went all out from the start," Wakaba muttered.

"I hope he doesn't plan on keeping the hat," Wendy muttered

"Juvia thinks it makes him look great," Juvia shouted

"of course, you do," Wendy muttered

The brewing wars

"Alright," Mato said, "let's take a look at the current scores," Mato noted "fairy tail has a big lead with fifty-seven points, and all four normal members still standing, and the leader and backup leader is still out there," Mato said, "in second place we have the Sabertooth tigers with fifty-one points," Mato noted, "Gray only got one point with Rufus, so one of their remaining members must be the leaders, also tied for second place is team Ferrous Cinco with both leaders and three of their members still standing, and coming up in fourth with forty-five points is the Nymph five, can they turn this around."

"I can't wait to find out," Lola said "now let's get back to the action," Lola said

"Fine by me," Orga muttered as he started to walk away "means I get these fairies all to myself"

"fairy tail is truly a force to be reckoned with," Rogue muttered. "I don't care," he said, "until I beat you in combat, Gajeel; I refuse to be beaten by anyone else," he said, "I will not falter."

elsewhere Sting walked alone, his mind a flatter 'to think not even a week ago I had four best friends' he sighed 'maybe master's right, my attachment to this world to people is holding me back' Sting said as he walked forward 'is that true Natsu' he asked 'you hold the ones you love close to your heart, and yet' he stopped as he let himself sit down

"Yet you're so strong."

Flashback

"What no, I don't want you to go, Yukino," Lector cried "why don't you just come with us."

"I'm sorry," Yukino said, "but I have to go" she looked away "we'll see each other again," she said as Lector cried into her arms as she looked at Sting, giving him a weak smile" sorry" she whispered.

"No, it's okay," Sting said; I understand," he admitted. "I just wished" he looked away. A guild had just taken Magnolia. And a lot of wizards were fleeing from the sight, and the one caring for Yukino was as well, which meant the two of them had started to make a home there. It seemed like a good place though they would often go their separate ways. It was nice to have a place to go to "we'll see each other again," Sting said as he placed a hand on Lector's head, "Fiore ain't that big after all."

"Yeah," Yukino said as she handed him something, "but just to be sure, I'll need that back," she said as she started to leave. Sting looked down, smiling as he held a small pendant in his hands "is that a promise," she asked.

"You know it," Sting said as Yukino started to leave. He watched as she went into the horizon, his heart heard, but still, he was probably going to see her again. When he did, he would be as strong as Natsu was; he would become as strong as he was. He promised he would beat him for Lector and her. He smiled as he turned with Lector patting him on the head "come on, bud," he said, "We got training to do."

'It was years later that we would see each other again at the time it had been six years since the fall of magnolia, and at the time a part of me had forgotten of my old life, master Jiemma instruction had granted me strength I didn't know I had so like he said I put the old me behind me but that all changed when I found her again.'

"Man, that job was easy," Sting said, walking through the streets of a random town as he looked to his partner, the shadow dragon Rogue "come on, man, nothing."

"Not really," Rogue replied, "guess you could say I'm just tired." he stopped when Sting had come to a halt next to him "are you okay Sting," Rogue asked "as he reached out for his friend Sting smiled.

"I know that scent," he said out loud as he ran off

"Hey Sting, wait where you are going," Rogue called as his friend ran off as he stopped in front of a girl

"Yukino," he shouted as the girl turned, meeting his daze before a look of joy came across her face

"Sting," she said, "oh my Sting, it is you." she said as she ran up to him "how are you."

"I'm doing great," Sting said, "are you a wizard or something."

"You could say that," Yukino said, "going from place to place looking for work," she answered as Rogue came up to them "who's this."

"This my partner Rogue," Sting said

"Hey, Yukino," Lector called as he ran up to his childhood friend, "long time no see."

"Hey, Lector," Yukino said, bending down to pick the exceed up "you've gotten taller, I see." which made the exceed blush.

"Hey, I know you should come with us to Sabertooth," Sting said

"Are you sure?" Yukino noted, "while I do admit I want to join the guild, but" she was interrupted when Sting gripped her arm "come on," he said as he smiled at her, "I'll get you in no problem."

'seeing you brought out those old feelings I had, you made me question everything that I had learned from Master Jiemma cause with you and Lector around I Had to be strong, I wanted to be like Natsu to be able to protect you.

"And now," Sting muttered, "I pushed one away, and lost Lector," he said 'but I still have Rogue and Frosh, but I have to wonder are we even truly friends," he asked, "or is my relationship with them the same as the rest of my guildmates."

explosions rang across the sky as Kagura landed on her feet as Sherria danced around her. "I'm sorry," Sherria called. "Still, I can't lose to you," said "{sky gods: dance}" she shouted as Kagura was blown back, landing on her feet she let out of breaths of air as Sherria used to air to her advantage

"Looks like Kagura is in over her head," Lola called "little shelly welly will come out on top," Lola shouted,

"Please stop," Yajima said as the crowd started laughing

"I'm not going to let the old hag down," Sherria shouted, "that or I'll be spun."

Kagura said nothing as she dodged her attacks. 'I need to be patient, Kagura thought to herself. 'My opponent will be her own demise.' Kagura said as Sherria smiled

"I have you just where I want you," Sherria called as she started to gather her wind around her "{God Slayer's Secret Art: Heavenly Gathering of Clouds}," she shouted as she sent her attack as Kagura calmed her breathing, taking her stance ready to attack {archenemy: flying sword}" she called as she cut through the attack sending Sherria into the ground knocking her out.

"Look like the nymph five is striking back." Lola said, "she just scored her team one point."

Elena jumped out of the way in another part of the arena as Dobengal attempted to strike her jumping to the side. She gripped her sword, a smile coming to her face as she jumped away.

"You won't stop me," Dobengal shouted as he tried to strike her, only for her body to turn into mist "what."

"Yes," Elena said, "but you won't be taking me down," she said as she slammed Dobengal into the ground scoring her team another point as she stood up. wiping the sweat from her brow, she continued on

"What exactly is phase two," Wendy asked as teams continued to fight

"Nothing too special," Mavis said. "Natsu and Mira are just tying up loose ends," Mavis said "once they're out of the way the real fights will begin," Mavis said

"I see," Lucy muttered

"Man, you really have all this planned out," Elfman said

"You really know a lot, Miss Mavis," Asuka said, "you're so cool."

"Oh, thank you," Mavis said, smiling

"You sure do know a lot for a kid," Asuka said

"I'm not a kid," Mavis muttered

"But wait, then why do you look so young," Asuka asked "even old man gramps looks older than you," she said as the entire group went silent, it was a question they all asked themselves at one point. most of them here were kids, not too long ago. Mavis looked like she hadn't aged a day, but all of them were too polite to ask or afraid of the answer she would give, but it looks like Asuka missed out on that agreement.

"Honey," Bisca said, "what have we told you about manners."

"Come on, sweetie Mavis has a lot on her plate right now," Alzack said

"But I want to know," Asuka argued.

"Eat your greens, kid" was all Mavis said, and that seemed to be enough to satisfy the girl's curiosity. Everyone silently agreed to drop the subject, everyone looking around telling someone to change it by bringing up something else, but no one knew what to say.

"Hey, where did Kinana and the others run off to," Wendy asked

"She went with Miko to get some snacks," Cosmos said as everyone else gave them a collective thank you "and Katja had to go to the restroom," she added, " I think Max, Lucy, and Laki went with them," she said

"Oh, that's good," Wendy said. "I hope they're okay."

"Man, these games are super stressful," Lucy groaned. "I'm not sure how much more I can take"

"you're worried," Laki asked.

"I don't blame her," Kinana added "we have so much riding on this," she said. "I don't know what will happen if we fail," she said, "or what Sabertooth will do to us if they win," she said, "then there's the chance they might not be a graceful loser."

"Come on, now," Miko said, "I think Mavis gave our team some good plans to win."

"And let's not forget Natsu and Mira are out there," Max said, "they never let us down."

"I guess," Lucy said, "it's just" she stopped. "I'm usually out there with them ya know," she said "we're a team, and when we get in over our heads, its instinct for us to rush and back us up," she said she felt it during the whole Gray and Rufus fight she was feeling it now the need to go help her friends, but she couldn't do much.

"It seems Mavis has faith in her plan," Michelle said

"I know that," Lucy said, "and trust me no one believes in her more than me" she smiled. "I know that if we follow Mavis' instructions to the letter, we're going to come out on top."

"But what if another war happens," Michelle asked

"Then we fight," Lucy said

"I don't think I want any more fighting," Katja said

"don't worry, kid," Lucy said "if anything, once the game is, over everything will blow over," Lucy said. "I hope," she sighed.

"Now you know how we feel," Laki noted, "every time you guys run off to a daring-do or whatever" Laki smiled "all we could do was sit there, look at the doors of the pub and pray that soon you would all walk through it smiling and laughing and covered from head to toe in bandages" Laki laughed "only for Mira to get mad at you all for all the injuries." she sighed as she let her mind wander.

"Those were the days," Kinana said before stopping to look behind her. She could feel something. She felt like they were being watched. 'Could it be Sabertooth,' she asked herself.

"Something wrong, Hun," Miko asked, getting Kinana's attention

"No," Kinana said, not wanting to scare everybody "come on let's get back," she said, pushing them to leave. behind them, a knight frowned as he watched the group go shaking his head as he came out

'That girl has good senses,' he thought to himself, 'and the celestial wizard is not alone, I must report this,' he said 'getting our hands on her gate key will be more complicated than we thought

"Meow," Millianna muttered as she turned a corner "awesome, no one's here," she said, "but what's not awesome is that there are only three of us left," she said. She sighed as she turned the corner "maybe I should find Kagura and Elena so we can team up," she muttered as s saw something "whose there" Millianna shouted as a cat came out "what cute kitty," she said as she started petting it, behind her Minerva smiled as she watched Millianna.

Mira smiled as Sherry walked up to her, a grin on her face "you know," she said, "I promised Lucy that if we fought, I wouldn't hit you too hard," Mira said

"well, my love will surpass yours," Sherry said, "so come at me with all you got," she said, "{marionet attack: Mud Doll}." as the ground turned to mush around Mira as she jumped up "damn it" Mira sighed as she landed on the ground "now I will take down you fairy" Sherry screamed only for Mira to disappear "what."

"Too slow," Mira whispered in her ear, now in her Halphas form, as she slammed Sherry into the ground "like I said not too hard," she said as she changed back.

"And that's another down for team Ferrous Cinco," Lola said

"Now they only have two members left, but Jura is still standing," Yajima said

"You won't best me," Elena shouted as she danced around Ogra "this Mermaid wishes to fest on another tiger," she shouted

"Not so fast," Ogra said as a bolt of lightning struck her, sending her into a wall, he smiled as he started to walk away

"And looks like we're also down to two Nymphs as well," Lola said

"Just Kagura and Millianna now," Riana muttered. "I wonder what fairy tail's plan is, their movements seem so coordinated as if they know what's coming around each corner," she said as she watched her three guild members, Risley, Beth, and Araña, all watch the games "you girls alright."

"Yeah, we're fine master," Risley said

"Cept for our pride," Araña said. "I'm sorry we let you down."

"No matter," Riana said, "you all did your best I'm sure now all we need do is have faith in our remaining members to see us to victory " she smiled as she noticed the worried look on Beth's face. "Something wrong Beth"

"with me," Beth said, a hint of fear in her voice "well I've been watching the screens, and they haven't shown Millianna in a while," she said

"I'm sure she just has a sweet hiding spot and is waiting for her chance to pounce," Risley said trying to reassure her

"That does sound like her" Araña laughed.

"If you say so," Beth said, "but I'm still worried."

"It's alright," Riana said, placing a hand on her shoulder, "wherever she is, I'm sure she's safe and sound."

"If you say so, master," Beth said

"Man, our guys are going crazy out there," Bickslow said

"Well, fairy tail does have a reputation to uphold," Evergreen said, "and losing when they have a member of the thunder legion in their ranks would be in bad character."

"That my Laxus," Freed said, "savoring the victory until the last moment," he said as he and his team started cheering.

"Looks like things are starting to calm down," Cosmos said, ignoring the thunder legion.

"Nothing left now but a few of the stronger ones," Makarov said, "is this phase three."

"No phase two has yet to be completed," Mavis said

"That was awesome, sis," Natsu said as he walked up to Mira "look like Mavis was right. Our paths converged on each other," he smiled, "though I think I had an easier time than you did."

"Yeah, well, I had a higher chance of finding opponents than you did bro" Mira laughed "come on let's finish this phase up so the others can get started," Mira said as she and Natsu went into their designated area. 'this is where things start to get hard for us'

"Alright," Mira said as she and Natsu started to mediate again "you know," Mira said, "this reminds me of when we first started training with Mavis."

"Yeah," Natsu said, "I remember that"

Flashback

Mavis sat in the forest Natsu and Mira on both sides of her. She was giving them a lesson in increasing magic power to help them grow stronger, but they were taking the task as well as one would expect. She opened an eye, noticing them squirming as she sighed, knowing what was about to happen.

"This is stupid," Mira screamed.

"I can't get it," Natsu shouted "what does this have to do with increasing magic power" Natsu shouted.

"It allows you to feel the magic energy in the air," Mavis explained "grow connected with everything, the land, sea, and air," Mavis explained, "you must focus."

"Lisanna and Elfman don't have to do it," Mira shouted

"They do," Mavis answered, "it easier for me to do this in pairs. Mavis sighed, "so" she waved her hands as the two sat down again,

"But master," Mira said

"We don't know what to do," Natsu finished

"Relax," Mavis said, "listen and wait, the answers will come," she said before smiling "hear the sounds of the forest and let them guide you," she explained, "and as always just breath."

"Just breath"

"I still don't get what fairy tails strategy is," Lola said "two of their stronger members Natsu and, Mira has gone motionless once again," he said as Natsu, and Mira had begun to mediate in the spot they had gone to

"Oh, come on."

"I wanted to watch him fight."

"What," Makarov said "why are they"

"Just wait," Mavis said

"Oh no, it looks Like Jura isn't giving them a chance," Lola said as he approached the two wizards. "What will our wizards do."

"a strong wizard must be mentally prepared for any tough challenge they face," Jura said as he approached the two "if you don't mind, I would like to join you," he said. Much to Ooba's shock, Mira said nothing as Natsu waved to the area around him. He smiled as he gave a bow before joining them in their mediation.

"Umm what," Cosmos said

"Master," Makarov asked

"Right now, this is a diversion," Mavis said "it gives Natsu and Mira a chance to regain any lost magic power they may have, and it gives our other members more freedom to move around" she smiled "phase three is a go, first up Erza will be facing Minerva," she said

"You seem confident," Evergreen asked.

"she's the one that brutally attacked Lucy," Freed said, "are you sure she can take her."

"of course, she can," Wendy said, "she's going to take her down."

"Aye, sir," Happy shouted. "Erza is on par with Natsu and Mira so if anyone can do it; she can."

Erza sighed as she came to a stop atop a large tower '. According to Mavis, I should encounter Minerva here," she said. She then felt something like bloodlust as she turned, seeing Kagura rushing to her much to her and Mavis shocked as she blocked the attack "no, was Mavis wrong" she asked she jumped back as Kagura rushed her again.

"It's Kagura," Lola shouted Erza jumped to the side as she attacked Kagura, who was able to block all of her attacks, each strike sending shock waves in the air as Erza was forced back.

"she's good' Erza muttered as she backed up. 'and she hasn't even unsheathed her sword yet'

'let's see if she's deserving of her title of a warrior.' Kagura thought to herself

"What the hell" Wendy shouted. "I thought Minerva was next," she asked

"Did I make a miscalculation," Mavis thought "how did we miss that loose end," she asked as Erza continued to dodge Kagura strikes

"Now this is a battle," Lola shouted, "the ultimate swordswomen showdown."

"This will be one of the better fights," Yajima said

"These beauties are literally locked in combat," Lola noted as a small orb appeared in between them as Minerva appeared from it pushing them away as she landed on the ground, "and Minerva just appears out of nowhere," he screamed,

"Oh no, I didn't see this coming," Mavis muttered

"If you two don't mind," Minerva said, "I would like to join you."

"The game's trio of feminine power is about to throw down," Lola shouted

"All three are immensely powerful," Freed said

"I hate to say it," Evergreen said, "but I'm not too sure Erza can win this."

"She can," Lucy said "don't forget who you're talking about," Lucy told her, "Erza has never let us down."

"Come on, Kagura" Araña said

"She can do this right," Beth said

"of course," Risley said

"But I'm scared," Beth said

"As long as I've known her, she's never let me down," Risley said. "I know she has this" behind her Riana let a smile form on her face as she looked back at the screen. She knew why Kagura had tracked down Erza.

'I hope you get the answers you are looking for, my student,' she whispered 'maybe then you can find peace with your soul.'

"No matter who I face," Erza said, "I will win"

"I can't understand how she thinks' Kagura thought to herself 'from what Millianna told me, she's suffered unimaginable suffering at the hands of Jellal. so why does she protect him.'

"these last few matches have been problematic' Minerva said, getting their attention "you both have the nerve to stand up to the region of Sabertooth," Minerva said, "so I will have to show you both why Sabertooth is the strongest guild in Fiore," Minerva said "and why were deemed the champions of the grand magic games" she screamed, "and once I'm done you will find your right full place underneath my foot."

"Enough talking," Kagura said "fight," she said as three started to leak out their magic power.

"You feel that," Lola asked.

"Their magic power is starting to leak out," Yajima said, "and this is only the beginning."

"They may be powerful, but they lack your spirit," Lucy shouted as the three rushed in, landing a single hit as Erza kicked Kagura away, focusing on Minerva blasted her back as Kagura rushed in, slamming Minerva in the side, sending her to the ground as Erza kicked her in the stomach sending her down as she jumped after her as Kagura sliced the air knocking her down.

"enough" Minerva shouted as she blasted Kagura again as Erza jumped to her, slamming to the ground as she waved her hand "Niel Wielg," she said, shocking Mavis as Minerva continued her spell "Mion Terse Elcantaeus Yagdo Rigora!" she screamed as large beam of light shot from her spot destroying the area as everyone looked to the source as Rufus opened his eye.

"That power," he muttered, "is unmistakable," he whispered, "and unforgettable.'

"That power," Mavis whispered, "that's the Eighteen Battle Gods of Yakuma," she said in fear, "powerful lost magic." as the smoke cleared, revealing that Erza and Kagura were still standing after she smiled "oh thank goodness," she said

"That made my heart skip a beat," Carla said

"Aye," Happy said

"Such power," Lily said, " no wonder she's the strongest in the guild."

"let's not count out Erza yet," Evergreen said, "she's still standing after that attack."

"Yeah," Happy said, "this won't be an easily fought battle."

"I'm impressed," Minerva said "no one has ever tanked an attack like that," she said, "look's like I underestimated you, so that means I'll have to change the game a bit" she smiled as she opened her hands, something came out, and everyone looked in shock. "I found a stray kitten," she smiled.

"Millianna"

"What is the meaning of this" Erza shouted

"Look at that face," Minerva said, "twisted with pain" she smiled "this sphere she's in constantly draining her magic power," Minerva said, "and surrounding won't save her," she said, "I told you I'm changing the game."

"I told ya'll she was in trouble," Beth shouted.

"How could she stoop so low," Araña shouted behind them. Riana was seething, but there was little she could do. 'What could she hope to gain by doing this?'

"Oh yes," Minerva gushed, "those scornful looks speak volumes."
