The final day of the grand magic games continues as Sabertooth's Minerva reveals her sinister plot what could she hope to gain by taking Millianna hostage, and how will Erza and Kagura react to this development find out now on a fairy tail re-told

"Here we are on the final day on the grand magic games," Lola called, "and what a day it has been we're down to four remaining teams gunning for the top spot," Lola said "in fourth place we the Nymph five with forty-seven points," Lola said "there last two members are going to have to step it up to keep up," Lola said
"Losing four of their members will do that," Yajima said
"Thanks for pointing that out, gramps," Risley said
"How could we go down so easily," Beth said as Riana placed a hand on her shoulder
"And coming up in third place, we have team Ferrous Cinco with fifty-one points," Lola noted, "and not too far ahead we have the champions of the grand magic games, the Sabertooth tigers," Lola said, "and in the first place we have the unsung hero's team fairy tail" he screamed, "there strategy at the beginning threw me off I'll admit."
"I figured they had something planned," Yajima said, "but these kids are still as destructive as ever" he sighed.
" well I hear the organizers will repair the city with magic," Lola said, "now, let's get back into the battle."

"I'm impressed," Minerva said "no one has ever tanked an attack like that," she said, "looks like I underestimated you, so that means I'll have to change the game a bit" she smiled as she opened her hands, something came out, and everyone looked in shock. "I found a stray kitten," she smiled.
"Millianna"
"What is the meaning of this" Erza shouted
"Look at that face," Minerva said, "twisted with pain" she smiled "this sphere she's in constantly draining her magic power," Minerva said, "and surrounding won't save her," she said, "I told you I'm changing the game."
"I told ya'll she was in trouble," Beth shouted.
"How could she stoop so low," Araña shouted behind them. Riana was seething, but there was little she could do. 'What could she hope to gain by doing this?'
"Oh yes," Minerva gushed, "those scornful looks speak volumes."
Erza vs. Kagura: swordswomen showdown
"Release her this instant," Erza growled
"Free my comrade," Kagura shouted, "and I will allow you to live."
"In a bit," Minerva said, "but first I will show you how a Queen rages war," Minerva told her "But if you want her, come and get her," she said as Kagura rushed her in a blinding speed only for Erza to appear instead of Minerva she as blocked with her sword.
"What," Erza said, "she's so fast."
"How did she get here," Kagura asked aloud.
'So, this is territory magic,' Erza thought to herself. Mavis had explained it to her.
"You go ahead and duke it out all you want," Minerva said, "and I'll take on the victor" she smiled as she walked away.
"So, you're just leaving a fight, you interrupted," Erza screamed, "and you call yourself a queen."
"a queen places her pawns in the right place to ensure her victory," Minerva said. "I'll admit I underestimated you. Had Fairy tail and Mermaid heel united, you probably would have stood a chance against the Sabertooth guild," she smiled, "but I'm going to tear you apart," she said, "from the inside," she said as she gave a wicked grin.
"Let Millianna go" Erza screamed, only for her to be headbutted by Kagura
"don't pretend to be our ally," she screamed as Minerva laughed
"I see you two have some catching up to do," Minerva said as she started to leave "the winner will get your friend back," she said, "have fun."
"I agree to your terms," Kagura shouted "just let her go," Minerva said nothing as she vanished into her bubble.
"She has us in quite the bind," Erza muttered.
"Be quiet," Kagura told her. "I don't speak to my enemies," she said. "I only destroy them."
"This is quite the development," Lola said. "Mr. Yajima, what do make of this."
"Unfortunately, there is a penny rule for taking hostages," Yajima said, "so we can only look at this as a tactical strategy."
"Are you serious?" Risley said,
"she's going to hurt Milli," Beth said
"I feel so helpless," Elana said. "I'm sorry."
"It's fine," Risley said. "Kagura has this"
Gajeel sighed as he continued to walk to his location "this sucks," he muttered. "Mavis' plan has started to go right off the rails," he said "gotta get it back on track," he said as he looked at the screen, he could also feel that Natsu and Mira were still holding on to Jura, so at least that part of the plan was still in play.
Mavis grumbled as she opened her eyes "it just isn't right," she said "no matter how many times I calculate it in my head that three-way clash just doesn't happen," she said
"it's okay. We all make mistakes" Romeo said
"I understand that," Mavis said, "but I'm trying to figure out what it was," she told him "What did I overlook," she said, scratching her chin "it's giving me a headache."
"I mean, Millianna and Erza are childhood friends, right," Lucy asked, "maybe that was the reason."
"I looked at that," Mavis said, "And even then, it just doesn't add up." Mavis said, "Kagura looked hostile, and when Erza showed concern for Millianna, she seemed to get angry."
"So, what does she know that we don't," Laki asked, "could she be from the tower of heaven."
"I doubt it," Lucy said "if that were the case, she wouldn't have been as angry towards Erza," Lucy said
"Wait, I just thought of something," Wendy said "what if it's about Jellal," she said, getting confused looks from everyone.
"What do you mean," Mavis asked
"Well, Erza mentioned something about telling Millianna the truth about Jellal after the games, and something about Kagura," she explained, "what if Kagura has some beef with Jellal."
"It adds up," Mavis said, "that explained why she tracked her down," Mavis said, "and with Minerva being in that position," she said, "it leads to the three-way clash," she said, "what have I got, Erza into," Mavis said "I should have sent Natsu and Mira with her"
"Erza can handle this," Wendy said
"Aye" Happy said
"Right, we just have to have faith she'll see this through," Carla said as she looked back at the screen.
"Something wrong, Levy" Cana asked.
"No, it's just," Levy looked at the screen, "with everything going on, I guess you can say I'm worried," she said
"don't worry, Gajeel will be fine," Cana said as she turned away, embarrassed "don't forget the wizard you're talking about."
"Yeah," Lucy said, "the guy can go toe to toe with Natsu."
"Yeah, I guess you're right," Levy said "be careful Gajeel, we're rooting for you"

Gajeel stopped, a feeling coming over him as he turned to see Rogue had been following him. A smile came across his face as he faced the shadow dragon again "you're a pesky little bugger, aren't ya" Gajeel said. "I'm nowhere near as nice as Salamander, so say your prayers."
"Looks like Rogues out for a rematch," Lola said
"Be careful, Rogue," Frosh said above them Jiemma frowned
'If you fail again, Rogue, the punishment will be severe."
Ogra smiled as he came up to see Laxus waiting for him "so you and I finally get to square off," he asked.
"So, what's with black lighting," Laxus asked.
"You should know already," Ogra said. "I'm a lighting god slayer."
"Then let's see if you can slay a fairy," Laxus asked
"Now this is a matchup I'm excited about," Yajima said
"So many great matchups," Mato said, "but I wonder where Sting is; the lacrmia hasn't seen him in a while."
From his hiding spot, Sting smiled "you play dirty, Milady," Sting said, "but with the plan I have in place, there's no way I'm losing this," he said "don't worry, Lector," he said, "I'm going to make you proud."
"So, are you nervous," Ultear asked "you're supposed to head to this meeting spot once the end of the game arrives," she said they all had left town in order to not get in the way of the games; however, they were still thinking of their mysterious contact.
"We should be ready," Jellal said "we have no idea what this person has planned" he looked up to see Meredy eyeing Domus flou "is everything alright," he asked.
"Yeah," Meredy said, "just the giant hole in Domus flou, there's something about it."
"Could it be the dark energy we sense," Ultear said
"I don't know," Meredy said "btu once the games end for the day," she said, looking back at her friends, "I'm going to investigate it," she said, "if you don't mind."
"No," Jellal said, "we need every angle we can find," he said, "any advantage we can find will be helpful."
"Thanks," Meredy said "good thing they haven't fixed the hole" she looked at Rossello "we are going to head in that way," she said
"But Meredy, I don't think I'm ready for that yet," Rossello said
"you'll do fine," she said, patting her on the head.
"Alright, so we have a plan," Ultear said, "and if all goes right, it won't be too much of a struggle," she said smiling, "and then we can close this job," she said "here's to hoping"
"Aye," Rossello said
"You're spending too much time with happy," Meredy muttered
"She goes everywhere with you," Ultear told her, "So that's mainly your fault for spending so much time with Natsu."
"Oh, shut up," Meredy said, "we were passing along messages after this lugnut," she shouted, gesturing at Jellal "went got himself caught," she screamed, "so we had to pick up the slack."
"Whatever you say," Ultear teased.
"Natsu and Happy can be very inspirational," Jellal said. "I can see why she's picking up on their habits," Jellal said. "I would too," he told her, with an evil grin on his face.
"you're both despicable," Meredy said as they started laughing at her
Flashback

Riana stood in the ruins of a destroyed village. She let out another sigh "another village lost," she muttered they had overheard of an attack. As such, she had decided to go and investigate; however, it would seem that they were too late once again these attacks were getting more frequent but what could they mean. 'Could it be a cult, a guild or a monster?' she said,' looking around. one of her men came up to her "let's wrap up here we need to" see stopped when a box fell over a small girl came out a look of fear on her face as she looked up
"No, stay away from me," she screamed as Riana placed her sword down, slowly walking up to her "no, don't hurt me, please," she cried.
"it's okay," Riana said. "I won't hurt you," she whispered as she slowly approached her, reaching her hand out offering the girl her hands "come here" the little girl looked at her tears streaming down her face "my name Riana what's, yours"
"Ka...Kagura," she managed through sniffs.
"What a pretty name," Riana said "come please," Riana said as she picked her up, "do you know what happened here."
"These men came," Kagura started, "started killing people."
"I see," Riana said as Kagura started crying. as she hugged her close, "come, you must be hungry," she said as she walked away. "I'm going to take you home," she said "is that okay" she whispered. Kagura nodded
"I lost," she started, only for Riana to silence her
"Calm down," she said "it's okay, she said "rest now," Riana said, "we have a long journey ahead," she said, "get all the rest you need." the journey home wasn't too long as Riana thought of what to do with the child who she assumed was the lone survivor
End Flashback
The memories left Riana's mind. She watched Kagura, and Erza get ready to face off "will this fight bring you the peace that you seek, my student" Kagura wondered, 'have I let you go too far?' She thought to herself she longed for the day Kagura would wear that smile she had when she was younger the bright smile that was filled with hope and optimism
'I'm going to find him, master, I can't wait to see him again'
"Something wrong, master," Araña asked
"No," Riana told her, "Just a lot on my mind."
"Looks like we have no choice," Erza muttered
"I do not plan on holding back," Kagura said

"I'd be insulted if you did," Erza shouted as Kagura rushed to her, bocking her strike as she jumped back "{requip: heavens wheel}" Erza screamed, "scattered petal" she shouted as Kagura jumped out of the way.
"{grudge sword: archenemy}" Kagura shouted as she slammed Erza through the ground "{slashing form}" Kagura called as Erza brought out her adamantine armor only for it to fall to pieces.
"That's crazy" Romeo shouted
"Not even the Jupiter cannon could stop that armor," Lucy whispered. "Erza."
"How did she," Erza asked
"Strange you survived," Kagura muttered
"{flight armor}" Erza shouted as she rushed Kagura again, only to be blown back.
"what's going on," Wendy said "she hasn't drawn her sword," she said as Erza crashed into the ground.
"Erza is being bested in a sword fight," Lucy whispered, "this can't be happening."
"Kagura has taken down Erza," Lola shouted, "the person who lead her team to victory in pandemonium."
"So many variables to consider here," Mavis wondered "her magic is the most complicated, but I didn't expect her to be this powerful." Mavis said aloud "no surprise given the fact that her master is Riana"
"such strength," Erza said as she struggled to stand up. "I assume your power comes from your hatred of Jellal," Erza said as a look of anger flashed on Kagura's face as she kicked her into a wall. "I can understand why Millianna harbors such hatred towards Jellal," Erza said, standing up again "she has every right to," Erza said, "but what has he done to you," Erza asked, "why are you so determined to kill him."
"This is his will," Kagura said, "and now it is my burden to carry," she shouted.
"What happened," Erza asked "what drove you to these extremes," she asked.
"you knew him," Kagura muttered "my brother," she said, choking on her words "that bastard took him away from me, he killed Simone," she shouted, much to Erza's shock, "we were poor but happy until they took all that happiness away," she said fighting back the tears she was feeling "one night these strange men showed up in our village, it was a child hunt," she said, "I was the only one to escape."
"You were his sister," Erza muttered, "and I take you ended up with Riana."
"Yes," Kagura answered, "she took me in, trained me, gave me a home" she looked away, "and together we looked for my brother until I met Millianna. That was the day I learned he had died," she said, remembering how she cried that day how tightly Riana had held her.
"But don't worry," Millianna had told her, 'My friend killed him' she said 'Jellal is gone and never coming back.
"But that was a lie; then I took a vow," she said. "I vowed to kill Jellal," she said, "until then, I promised never to let archenemy leave its sheath."
"Simone," Erza muttered, "there's something you should know," Erza said, getting her attention. "Millianna didn't see your brother die," she revealed "she wasn't there; it was just me, him, Natsu, and Jellal," she admitted as the memory played in her mind.
Flashback

"Be careful, Natsu," Erza said, "you barely have the strength to stand."
"You'll pay," Jellal called out as he gathered a large amount of magic energy, causing the dust in the tower to move toward him.
Erza looked up "huh," Erza saw as her shadow was heading towards the light "why is my shadow going towards the light" she looked up, "oh no, that spell."
"This is the end for you, Salamander."
"No," Erza called, jumping between Natsu and Jellal, who stopped his spell, "you wouldn't want to lose your sacrifice."
"That would be a problem," Jellal told her "However, the ceremony requires someone comparable in strength to the ten wizard saints" Jellal smiled "your, not the only person who fits that description; I'll worry about that after I kill the both of you" Jellal shouted as he started his spell again.
"Erza," Natsu called, "get out of the way."
Erza shook her head; "I'm the reason you're in this mess in the first place," Erza told him, "The least I can do is make sure you're safe."
Jellal smiled "{heavenly body magic: Altaris}" Jellal launched the attack at Erza, who tried to guard herself only for someone else to jump in the way of the blast, which sent an explosion around the pair
Erza and Natsu starred in Horror as Simon stood in front of them; his mast was half broken, and blood covered his clothes as he fell over.
"Simon," Erza called out.
"I thought you were still lurking in my tower. You despicable pest," Jellal called out.
"You were supposed to leave the tower," Erza told him as she rushed to her friend, who let out a cough in pain.
"I couldn't," he admitted as he tried to move, only for Erza to stop him.
"don't move," she said as she held him. "Simone, everything's going to be okay."
Simone smiled before letting out another cough. Before he looked at Erza, he wiped a tear from her face as he smiled "you were the only person who could make me smile," he told her.
"No, don't die, Simon," Erza said as Simon looked at her, an image of a younger Erza appearing in front of him as tears formed in his eyes.
"I just," he let out another violent cough, "that... I always loved you," he said before his hand went fell to the ground before he closed his eyes.
Erza had a look of shock in her eyes as Simone's body stopped moving. Natsu had to step back as Erza let out a scream, "Simon!" she screamed, a tear falling from her eye. "Noooo!" she shouted as Jellal started to laugh.
End flashback
"So, you see," Erza said, "it wasn't Jellal who killed Simone," she admitted,
"you'd resort to lies to be that killer's scapegoat."
"It would be easy to let you go on believing that," Erza said, "but it's true," Erza said, "if I weren't so weak, Simone would still be here today," she said, "so his blood lies solely on my hands." Kagura's hand shakily went to her sword as her vision started to go red
"Kagura no," Riana shouted "calm down," she screamed as her guild members looked in horror. Kagura unsheathed her sword, and Mavis's eyes widened in horror as Lucy and Wendy closed their eyes
"Erza"
