Today we begin fairy tail eclipse; At the same time, yes, this arc is technically a part of the grand magic games and happens during the final day; I never really liked how the two events clashed, so I decided to split them up and stuff like I've already explained. Anyway, we have one more arc in the X791 saga as our hero's adventure in Crocus continues the fate of the future is about to begin.

Fun fact: did you know that Wendy was originally going to be older, makes you wonder how she and Natsu were originally meant to get along cause in chapter 101(manga) Gradneeny states that she hope they become good friends this time just food for thought

Wendy: that is if Sabertooth isn't sore losers

Natsu: I hope not, but if we have to pound them in, we pound them

Wendy: you got that right

Yukino stood at a window in Mercurius. The results of the grand magic gamers had been reported fairy tail had won "so Natsu and Mira did it," Yukino said smiling "they managed to beat Sabertooth" she smiled at the thought. However, she also felt conflicted she wondered what would happen to Sting and Rogue two of her friends, or at least she thought they were she sighed

"You must feel conflicted, Sergeant," a guard asked.

"No," Yukino said, "I have severed all attachment to the guild system," she said, trying to hide her anger "what's difficult is getting used to being called Sergeant."

"Yes, but your participation in Eclipse requires a rank," the guard told her "This is a military project after all," he said, "you'll get used to it."

This is a significant undertaking," Yukino said. "I am prepared to top do whatever it takes," she said as she looked out the window.

"Then perhaps you can help men with the rest of our plan," a voice said. The pair turned to see Arcadios, "the other celestial wizard here," he said "we will need her as well" he smiled "though fairy tail is on guard but seeing as you have a relationship with them, they might hear you out," he said

"Yes, I understand, sir." Yukino said,' I can't seem to understand why he's so nervous' Yukino thought to herself, 'he's trying to save the world, but no one knows it.'

The Dragon King

"We won the grand magic games," everyone in the pub cheered as drinks flew through the air.

"Guys, calm down," Mira said, "please, let's not party too hard."

"Look how happy they are," Happy said. "I don't think I've seen them this happy in a while."

"that's true, but let's remember that we don't own this place," Mira said as she looked on to see even Natsu and Gray had started to get out of hand she sighed before Lucy approached, slapping both on the head with a magazine.

"Calm down, you two," Lucy shouted

"Oh, come on, Lucy," Natsu said

"Yeah," Gray said, "we're just having a little fun."

"we've destroyed this place enough for one week if you ask me," Lucy said scolding them

"Killjoy," the pair said, looking away the stopped when Wendy had come down the stairs wiping sweat from her forehead as she sat down

"How is Erza doing," Natsu asked

"I was able to fix up her broken leg, but," Wendy told him, "She still needs lots of rest. She had two big battles back-to-back," Wendy said, "and I think Kagura did more damage than she's willing to admit."

"I'm more surprised that you and Mira are still walking around," Cana said, "with the way Jura was slamming you into the dirt."

"Getting hit by Gildarts gives you that skill," Natsu said, laughing

"He was never good at holding back, was he," Mira said "that, and I think Jura was trying to take us down, not injure us," she said,

"figures" Cana muttered

"That and Minerva is a sadist who takes pleasure in torture," Lucy said, remembering her fight with her in the water bubble. She shook her head. "I doubt even Erza can walk away from that at full strength," Lucy said, "that said you two are monsters," she said to Natsu and Mira, who laughed

"you kids did well," Mavis said, "tomorrow will be more of a festival," Mavis said, "if anything leaves discussing terms with the guild masters to us."

"If that's all we have to do," Natsu said "then I'm ready for it," he said

"But take it easy," Wendy said as the door slammed open, catching everyone's attention as Meredy removed her hood, letting out breaths of air as she scanned the room her eyes landing on Natsu and Wendy as she pushed past everyone to them "oh hey, Meredy, you good," Wendy asked

"How did the meeting go," Mira asked

"I don't know," Meredy said, "but that's not important," she said as she looked at Natsu Wendy and Gajeel. "you guys need to come with me," she said, "you need to see this."

Jiemma said nothing as he stared at the five wizards in front of him, minus Minerva whose current location was unknown, but that didn't matter to him. She was as much a failure as these pathic fools the air was silent "you are nothing but disgraces," he said finally "to think you would have the nerve to appear in my presence after your pathic display today" he said, "I would applaud you if I weren't so disgusted with your very existence" he screamed the room started to shake as everyone tried to balance themselves "your nothing but"

"Would you shut up" Sting shouted. as everyone looked at him in shock,

"you dare," Jiemma said as Sting stepped forward, "you have no room to talk today, Sting," he said "not only did you disgrace yourself," he said, "you didn't even put up a fight," he said as he gathered his magic power." what do you have to say for yourself boy" he screamed

"I was afraid," Sting said. "I looked at them there battered and bruised," he said, "and I felt fear," he admitted "no matter what I tried, I was going to lose that fight," he growled, "I maybe would have beat one or two," Sting said " but I would have never beat them" Sting admitted "I could never beat them not as I am now" he growled out "and you know what? I accept that"

"You dare show weakness," Jiemma growled "you will know true fear soon enough," he screamed before a blow struck his stomach, coughing up blood as he looked down, seeing that Sting had attacked him "what."

"And because I've accepted that fear," Sting said as Jiemma fell to the ground, "I no longer fear you," he said

"You will pay for this," Jiemma said as he tried to stand up

"Why are we afraid" Sting shouted "Is this what we want from our guild," he said, gesturing to Jeimma, "to fear punishment because we couldn't win a stupid game," he shouted, "I don't want that anymore, do you" he called as the rest of his guildmates looked at him confused looks on their faces

"Stop right there," Jellal screamed to the hooded figure. He stopped 'a woman,' he said as he took off his mask. "I have revealed my identity," he said, "so now you need to reveal yours" eh sad as the woman turned as Jell backed up in shock.

"What," Ultear asked, "is this a joke," he said "if it is, then it is deplorable taste," she said.

"If there is a joke in this it's that our fates are already sealed," he said, "the gate that will change the world eclipse, the dragon king festival" he sighed "there is little we can do," he told her "if what this person told me is true then we need to figure out what were going to do to prevent it"

deep beneath the coliseum, Meredy led the dragon slayers through the caverns "so," Wendy asked, trying to break the silence that had fallen over them since they left the pub "what did you find down here" she asked

"Just keep this way," Meredy said "you need to see it to believe it," she said

"You seem nervous you sure you okay," Natsu asked to which she nodded

"I wonder what she found" Happy asked "does it have something to do with dragon slayer magic," he asked Rossello

"You could say that," Rossello said. "I've never seen Meredy so on edge before," she whispered

"If that's the case," Carla said, "then why did the gawkers tag along," she asked

"Excuse us for being gawkers," Gray muttered

"We can't help being curious," Lucy said

"Right," Meredy muttered she also knew that it had a lot to do with trust, but that didn't matter to her right now. What mattered was showing everyone what she found "here we are," she said as they returned to the cavern she had discovered as everyone stopped.

"What are those" Gray asked

"They look like giant bones," Lucy said

"Not just any bones," Natsu said, "these are dragon remains."

"All these used to be dragons," Happy asked

"There are so many," Carla said

"If we ever needed proof of their existence," Lily said, "here it is."

"What are they doing down here," Gajeel asked

"Who knows," Meredy said

"I would like to," Natsu said "there are piles of them everywhere," he said

"To me, it looks like they had a fight," Wendy said, "like they were trying to escape from something down here." she bent down running her fingers along won "from the looks of it it was a pretty big battle"

"I don't want to meet whatever could scare a dragon," Lucy muttered.

"Who knows," Happy said, "we might find Igneel, Hyōka, Metalicanna, and Grandeeny down here," he muttered.

"Happy" Carla screamed.

"My bad" Happy shouted

"No," Natsu said, "we won't find them down here," Natsu said

"Yeah," Gajeel said, "it only been fourteen years since our dragons left," he said "looking at these bones, it been a lot longer than that," he said

"That might work," Wendy muttered

"What was that Wendy," Lucy asked

"As you know, over the past seven years, I've been studying with Porlyusica about my magic," she said. "she helped me perfect two of the secrets arts that I couldn't when I was studying with Grandeeney" Wendy, explained "such as the sky drill," Wendy said "and the one spell I still haven't figured out the Milky way spell"

"you've mentioned it," Natsu said

"Hear the voice of the dragon spirits that lead to the river of heaven," Wendy said "at first I thought it was an attack," Wendy said, "but it might allow me to speak with the dead," she said

"You can do that" Meredy asked.

"Maybe," Wendy told her "if we can talk with one of these dragons," Wendy said, "then we might finally learn what happened here," she said, "and we can finally learn where our dragons went" as she picked up a bone that was lying around, "I kept getting these characters wrong cause I thought it was an attack," she said "but now that I'm looking at it like this," she said "it's all the more clear now" she smiled as she finished drawing the circle "if this works we can finally get all the answers we want." she smiled "alright all of you stand back," she said as he got down "oh dragons voice of long past reveal and share your wisdom with me," she said "{dragon slayer secret art: milky way}" she screamed as a green light overtook the room.

"So pretty," Lucy said

"Look at all the stars," Happy said as light shined around them.

"I'm trying to find remaining thought energy," Wendy said, "but it is old and is getting weaker by the second," she said. "I'm going to have to concentrate in order for it to work," she said, "found it," she said as she slammed her hands together as a bright light shined around them

"Are we sure that's a dragon spirit?" Lily asked as a hand came from the light

"The hell" Gray shouted

a giant Dragon with jagged scales. He has a flat skull with a flat nose and a big jaw. His ears taper off to one side and feature darkened ends. He also has two long strands of hair on his chin. Four-fingered claws are complete with dark, shiny talons. On his back, he sports a large pair of wings, and in between said wings lay a row of spikes that travel down his spine. Contrary to the rest of his body, the stomach is smooth, with no visible scales, and is quite muscular. It landed on the ground before giving a loud roar scaring both Gray and Lucy. As Natsu Meredy and Gajeel laughed, they forgot how massive dragons were soi their reactions weren't all that surprising to them as the dragon gave a hearty laugh "even in death scaring the pants of humans is hilarious," he said, "my name is Zirconis, they called me the jade dragon back in my day" he said "I'm surprised you were able to summon me seems like the work of the sky dragon Grandeeny" he laughed "so which on you was it" he said as he looked at Wendy "I see it was this little dragon slayer."

"don't get any funny ideas, pal," Natsu screamed.

"I'm going to eat her up," Zirconis laughed, "if I could touch you, that is," as everyone deadpanned

"All these bones and you dorks get the crazy dragon," Lucy shouted,

"of course, they do," Gray muttered

"Gotta lot of words I want to use right now," Gajeel said

"let's save them for later," Meredy said "you mind telling us what happened here," she asked, "that was the main reason we summoned you in the first place."

"I have no interest in talking with you humans," Zirconis said

"What about cats," Happy asked

"Hmm, well, it was over four hundred years ago."

"Guess he has no problem talking with cats," Gray muttered.

"dragon kind once ruled the land," Zirconis said "we sored the sky combed the land and swam its oceans," he said, a nostalgic feeling coming over him "everything belonged to dragon kind even humans," he smiled "your kind was plentiful and an excellent source of protein I might add" he frowned "but there were some that believed our reign was unjust," he said "they spread the idea that we should coexist with humans, and as such their ideas spread like viruses," he said" fools, and such the great dragon war began, I myself was against coexistence."

"You were against humans," Lucy asked with fear.

"True, I was not fond of your kind unless you're not properly cooked medium-rare," Zircones said

"Did your parents tell you not to talk with your food," Natsu asked

"Naw, I'm pretty sure they told him not to play with it," Meredy joked

"Hey, show some respect to the dead," Zirconis shouted

"Focus," Happy said

"You were telling us about the great dragon war," Carla said

"Yes," Zirconis noted, " both sides were pretty evenly matched. However, the side supporting coexistence came up with the idea that doomed us all." he sighed "they granted humans with what would be known as dragon slaying magic and with that human entered the war, and were able to turn the tide" he sighed

"So, the first dragon slayers were ancient warriors" Happy asked

"yes," Zirconis answered, "victory seemed almost inevitable for the dragon on the other side, but no one could have foreseen what happened next, the dragon slayers grew so powerful that they eventually turned on the very dragons that granted them their gifts" he sighed "one, in particular, was able to bathe the countryside in my the blood of my kin just thinking about him gives me shivers" Zirconis looked away "he used his power so often that his skin turned to scales his teeth sharpened to fangs."

"Wait, so he turned into a dragon," Lucy asked.

"that is the fate of all dragon slayers," Zirconides said "once they unlock their second origin, their fates are sealed," he sighed "that dragon slayer, despite his human origins, was deemed the king of dragons," he said, "and the war he gave rise to was named the dragon king festival" he called "he was known as Acnologia Black Dragon Of The Apocalypse" he sighed "every single dragon you see here was killed by that very dragon once a human."

"Wait," Lucy said, "Acnologia that's the dragon we fought on Tenrou," Lucy said "we threw everything we had at it, and it just kept coming at us," she said, "not even the combined might of three dragon slayers were not able to faze it."

"you're telling me that thing used to be human," Gray said, "why didn't you guys ever tell us."

"We didn't know," Meredy said

"All our parents told us was to hide," Natsu said, "and pray he doesn't find you."

"Most of my kind now rots in the ground thanks to him," Zircons sighed, "but you and I are all that remains."

"Wait," Meredy said, "other dragons survived."

"Yes," Zirconis said, "the only dragons who had a chance of beating Acnologia, the four dragons of Ishgar, they went into hiding not too long after Acnolgia appeared, " he said as his body started to vanish "they remained neutral during the war and were some of" he completely disappeared leaving the rest of his sentence unanswered.

"Hey, we weren't done with you yet," Gajeel shouted as Wendy fell from her trance.

"Wendy," Happy and Carla shouted. as Wendy fell to the ground they could tell that she was trying as hard as she could to keep the spell going but ti took a toll on her body as she looked back at them

"Sorry," Wendy said, "but there is no more thought energy. " She said, "wherever he is, I hope he finds peace."

"So, what mess did we find ourselves in this time" Gray muttered

"How about we forget what we heard that," Lucy asked

"I just have one question," Natsu said "does this mean we're going to turn into dragons too," Natsu asked

"How the hell should I know" Gajeel shouted

"But I don't wanna," Wendy shouted. "I'm too cute to be a dragon."

"but having wings would mean no more motion sickness," Meredy said as everyone looked at her "what," she said, "I'm looking at the bright side of this whole situation besides," she said, "didn't you hear him? he said once the second origin is unlocked our fate is sealed" she smiled "remember we have those seals that are preventing us from doing that"

"I see," Natsu said, "now I'm glad we didn't remove it."

"Yeah, but remember, there's no telling what happens if we loosen them," Gajeel said, "so we should be careful."

"But how long will that last" Lucy asked

"There has to be something else we can do," Gray said

"We wait and see," Natsu said "nothing more we can do but be careful with how we use our magic" he smiled "but we know that there are dragons still out there "

"You mean the four dragons of Ishgar," Meredy asked, "how do you think we should go about finding them."

"Aye," Happy said, "maybe we should try the milky way spell."

"No, that was all the thought energy here," Wendy said "a dragon would need to leave a strong magic presence to leave behind enough thought energy for me to be able to summon them," Wendy admitted

"So, we should try to find another graveyard," Meredy said "great."

"That may not be necessary," a voice called

"Who's there," Wendy asked

"I took the liberty of eavesdropping," the voice said it was Arcadios. He smiled as he walked over them "it would appear our research is in line with historical fact; after all, tell me have you heard of the demons of the book of Zeref."

"Deloria," Gray muttered.

"The black dragon that you seek," he said, "he is something similar, for it was Zeref that turned him into the monster that he is today" he smiled "that means if you wish to conquer the black dragons, you must first conquer the black wizard."

"Really," Happy said

"Who the hell are you," Natsu asked

"Wait," Carla muttered, 'in my visions, I saw a white knight' she looked at Arcadios 'could it be him' she asked herself, 'my vision.'

"Could it be coming true'

Lucy sat in the middle of a destroyed Crocus, tears running down her face as the bodies of her friend lay around her fire all around as she saw Gajeel land on the ground "no," she muttered as a dragon came up to her blasting some fire as Natsu jumped din the way.

"Sorry about that," Natsu said, "you alright."

"Natsu," Lucy muttered "it's all gone," she cried.

"Just stay here," he said, "you picked a fight with the wrong guy," Natsu screamed as he rushed forward "fire dragons}" he screamed as he got ready "brilliant flame, sword horn, crushing fang," he shouted as he knocked the dragon from the sky.

"Natsu, it is no use," Lucy said between tears "there's no way you can beat that maybe."

"Not by himself at least," Gajeel said he was missing an arm, but he was still going behind him Wendy, and Meredy stood up as well covered in blood, but they wouldn't stop wither "{iron dragon roar}" he screamed as he knocked a dragon down as he jumped around.

"{sky dragons: wing attack}."

"{snow dragons: roar}" Meredy screamed as a giant dragon jumped out of the way before attacking again.

"Watch out" Wendy screamed, pushing him out of the way as a piece of wood came from the ground piercing her back making her cough up blood as several more pieces of wood pierced her body.

"Wendy," Lucy muttered as Gajeel was blown away, fire taking away his body disappearing, leaving dust as a dragon grabbed Meredy slamming her body into the ground.

"No," Natsu said. He landed next to Lucy, struggling to his feet. He smiled "don't worry," he said, "I'm not giving up," he said as he rushed in again as Lucy sat there, fear in her voice.

"Natsu!"
