Laki sighed as she walked through the streets of Crocus, If she were lucky, this would be her last day of walking around in such a way soon. She would be able to move back to Magnolia. If she were lucky, she would be able to move back into her old apartment though she knew well that Twilight Ogre raided her stuff, she could always get more, and besides, at this point, she just wanted to go home "is everything alright my dear" a voice called catching her attention.
"Oh, master Makarov" Laki asked
"I take it that Mavis had begun negations," he asked
"Yeah," Laki said
"And Natsu and Mira," he asked
"Mavis said she had them doing something," Laki said nervously. She was unsure if Makarov was in their plan "though everyone says they should be resting."
"Hmm yes," Makarov said, "I should warn you that the capital may not be as forgiving as the magic council," he said, giving her a knowing glance, "I ask you to be careful," he said, "and good luck," he said leaving behind a confused Laki.

"Alright," Natsu said, "this way should be clear."
"let's move," Mira said as Wendy and Kinana followed them behind them. Happy, Carla, Lily, and Rossello followed close behind.
"Sneaking in while everyone's distracted by the festivities," Lily said "while I like the plan, Mavis' strategy barely covers all the basics," he said
"It was the best she could come up with on short notice," Carla said
"We are racing against the clock," Rossello said " we need to hurry
"How we plan on sneaking into the castle without being seen," Wendy asked
"Old Happy got a plan," Happy said as he placed everyone was placed in odd outfits Mira and Kinana in two-piece dancer suits, Wendy was in a Mato costume, and Natsu was in a bear costume "is this foolproof or what."
"Considering a fool came up with it," Carla muttered
"This plan could work," Mira said, "we just need to tweak it a bit."
"I doubt you can sneak into the castle with outfits like that" Lily said
"I hate to admit it, but Lily's right," Wendy said
"Hey," Lily called
"We need a better plan," Wendy said, "and I think I have one just fine."
Mavis looked around. She hoped that Natsu and Mira could find a way into Mercurius, and we're able to rescue Lucy and Meredy as well as get them out safely. She sighed as he looked around the room; she noticed the tension in the air. She figured that it was due to Sabertooth. She could feel everyone's glances while she had never met this Jiemma, but according to Natsu, he was a prime example of what was wrong with Phantom Lord. She figured that the conversation would end in violence. She had already accepted it, but she'd be damned if she led her children to another war. She would end this conflict before it even began 'just like I should have on Tenrou Island, ' she thought to herself.
"Your fatal flaw is that your too kind-hearted, and to forgiving the second I appeared, you should have wiped me from the face of the earth."
Mavis shook the memory from her head. All the pain that happened on that Island was over now, and everyone that she took to that Island came back safe and sound, even Juvia, despite her current condition "is everything alright, Mavis" a voice called. She looked up to see Riana looking at her with a smile on her face "you seem distracted."
"it's nothing," Mavis said "just a lot on my mind right now," she said, "the games are starting to become an afterthought."
"If you don't mind me asking," Riana said, "what could be troubling you."
"Nothing much," Mavis said, lying through her teeth, "just some past problems that my children and I will have to clean up," she said
"Raven tail," Riana asked, "their master was taken in. the guild will fall in time."
Mavis laughed "you would be surprised at the number of enemies my children and I have gathered in our time," Mavis said. "Raven tail may have been the biggest threat, but they'll hardly be the last"
"Well," Riana said, "I hope you remember that you have allies," she said, "if you need anything, please don't hesitate to ask us for help."
"I will keep that in mind," Mavis said as the door opened "look like they have arrived."
"Be prepared," Riana said as the light cleared as Sign walked forward. Much to Mavis and Riana's shock, all the guild masters looked like Sting walked forward.
"There is about to be a change in the guild world," Sting said as he stepped forward, "and Sabertooth will be the ones the lead it."
Two guards stood in front of the entrance to Mercurius "man; this year had to be the best year of the games yet."
"Yeah, man," another said, "I really enjoyed that fairy tail team" they stopped talking when another guard approached with Natsu, Wendy, and Kinana in hand as he pushed them forward "is everything okay," the guard asked.
"I caught these three trying to sneak into the palace," he said,
"Where they are trying to rescue the prisoner," he asked "take them to cells," he said as the guard started to walk away "hey, where are you going? The cells are that way."
"Oh, sorry," the guard laughed "all these walls are starting to look the same," he said as he walked away, letting out a nervous laugh as they walked away. Wendy smiled
"Nice going, Mira," Wendy said as the guard's face changed, revealing that it was Mira who giggled as she gave a wink.
"Right, let's get moving," Natsu said
"it's so snuggly in here," Rossello muttered,
"Yeah, that's how we roll." Happy said,
"Let us out," Carla shouted.
"Before we die," Lily cried
above them, a guard walked up to a woman. She smiled as she turned around. She was Princess Hisui E. Fiore, the sole daughter of the king of Fiore himself. She smiled as the guard approached her "now is a good of a time as any princess," he said
"Good," Hisui said, "make ready soldier."
"Let us begin the eclipse two project."
deep in the cells of Mercurius, Lucy sighed as she finished. "I got it," she said as she removed the steel beam, much to Yukino's shock "now to get us out of here," she said as she started to reach out, "just gotta reach."
"What are you doing."
"Trying to get out, Yukino, come on, keep up," Lucy said
"Umm Lucy," Yukino said
"what" she looked forward to seeing Natsu, Mira, Wendy, and Kinana standing in front of her smiling "guys, you came" she was stopped when Natsu placed a hand on her mouth.
"Ninja, remember," he said as Lucy nodded.
"You slept in this thing" Happy asked as he went around her
"How did you get past the guards," Yukino asked
"Our natural charisma," Natsu joked as he melted the bars
"I don't see Meredy," Rossello asked
"They took her and that Arcadios guy somewhere else," Lucy said "that Darton guy said they were traitors to the kingdom" she shook her head, "you think the magic council."
"No," Rossello said, "we were monitoring them," she said, "and a wizard with Meredy's' rep there would have been a big commotion about her capture," she said, "I hope she's okay."
"Alright," Natsu said. "Mira, you and Kinana take Lucy and Yukino and get them out of here," he said. "Wendy and I will go with Rossello to look for Meredy," he said "Lily Carla, go with them as a backup," Natsu said
"You got it," Lily said
"Are you sure splitting up the good idea?" Mira asked
"I'm not leaving Meredy behind," Natsu said, "and I don't want to risk her being turned in to the magic council" before he could face her again, the floor underneath them gave out, making everyone fall down "what gives" Natsu screamed
"The floor dummy" Happy screamed
"Not this again," Wendy shouted as they all landed on the ground as Kinana sat up
"ouch," she muttered, rubbing her head. As she took a look around, she noticed that a rock surrounded them. A green hue emanated from them, giving them, some form of sight as she looked around "where are we," she asked as everyone sat up, looking around, "are we back in the caverns."
"Maybe," Natsu said
"I hope you enjoyed our little trap," a voice called, getting everyone's attention, "welcome to Capital of Death, Abyss Palace, the last taste of freedom any criminals will ever see," the voice said "to this day, not a single inmate has escaped our holding cells here" there was a slight laugh as everyone turned to see Princess Hisui appeared on lacrmia vision screen "I doubt you'll do any better thieves."
"Is that who I think it is," Natsu asked
"Yep, the princess of Fiore herself," Mira said
"Damn it," Wendy shouted as the screen ended Hisui looked away as the guards cheered. A sorrowful look came to her face as she walked away.
"What is the meaning of this" Riana asked
"Yes," Ooba said, "this is a big turnaround."
"That is odd; I swear that Jiemma was at the games this year," Bob said, "what could have caused this turn of events, I wonder."
"Interesting," Mavis wondered, "even I didn't see this coming," she said 'I wonder if what Natsu told Sting had something to do with this turn of events. "
"There was a change of leadership," Sting said "sorry about that," he said, "but master Jiemma was forced to stop down."
"I think I would like to think what you mean," Riana asked "why exactly did you master step down" she shouted her voice filling the room there was a weight in her words as she stepped forward, "I hope that you didn't take any drastic measures."
"If you think I killed him, your mistaken," Sting said. "I merely overthrew him," he said as he took a look at Rogue. "I did it for my friends and my guild."
"I see," Riana said "your guild never ceases to surprise me," Riana muttered.
"Sorry," Rogue said, stepping forward. "But that's how we do things in the Sabertooth guild."
"that's disgusting," Elana shouted "how could you carelessly throw your own members around" she called "you people are seriously deluded if you think that how you should run a guild."
"Elana," Riana shouted, "stand down," she said as she looked back at Sting, "and I take it you have taken the reigns of guild master" to this, Sting nodded.
"This is an interesting turn," Laxus muttered.
"Yes," Mavis said, "let's hope the situation takes a turn for the better."
"I hope Natsu and Mira are okay," Evergreen said, "you think they ran into trouble."
"I doubt it," Freed said "if anything, there being extra careful considering the situation we find ourselves in" he looked around, "let's hope that by the end of the day, we can all report our success."
"let's stay focused, you two," Laxus said. "Natsu's team can handle whatever the kingdom decides to throw at them," Laxus said, "so we just gotta focus on our mission."
"Right," the thunder legion said in unison.
"It feels like we've been walking forever," Lucy groaned "are you sure we're going the right way."
"I think we passed that rock already," Lily said
Natsu sniffed the air as Mira looked around "you smell anything."
"Naw," Natsu said, "it's probably because no one has been down here in a long time," Natsu said
"Yeah, the air is dry," Wendy said
"Right, you dragon slayers have a keen sense of smell," Yukino said
"Hey, where's Happy," Lucy asked as she turned around to see Happy holding a skull over his head, scaring her as she jumped back "why would you scare me like that."
"Man, these bones are everywhere," Natsu muttered.
"I guess that's why they call it the city of death," Lily said
"Princess Hisui did say that this will be the last taste of freedom criminals get," Carla said
"You don't think they sent Meredy down here," Rossello asked
"Could be," Natsu said "she bragged about there being on the way out and that no one survives but we're going to prove her wrong" he looked at Rossello "we both know how strong she is," Natsu said, "so I do not doubt in my mind that she survived in this place."
"Yeah," Lucy said, "if Meredy is down here, we'll find her and get out," Lucy said
"Yeah," Wendy and Kinana said
"you guys are so positive," Yukino muttered
"Well, we've come out worse situation than this," Mira said
"Yeah," Lucy said, "this is just another day in the office for us" she smiled "when we work as a team, nothing can stop us."
"yeah"
"Umm," Yukino said "what happened," she asked as everyone lay on the ground defeated around her.
"I busted up every rock I could find, but I only found more rocks," Natsu muttered.
"Maybe there are some things we can't do," Lucy groaned
"I wanna go home" Wendy shouted
"We even split up, and that didn't solve anything," Kinana groaned
"I can see why they call this place perdition," Lily groaned
"I wouldn't be surprised if Hisui were watching us right now for her own twisted sense of amusement," Carla said, getting Happy attention
"I hope no one would be getting off on this" Mira asked
"That's it" Happy screamed
"What's your deal," Natsu asked
"I just had a stroke of pure genius," Happy said, "as usual."
"I wouldn't call it that," Carla muttered
"Now wait, he might surprise us," Lily said
"as you guys said, those knight guys could be watching us for entertainment, right" Happy asked Natsu and Lucy, to which the pair nodded "then that means that bunch of guards is watching us right now," he said, "if that's the case all we gotta do is give them a reason to come down here and blam."
"We knock 'em out," Natsu screamed.
"I figured you'd say that," Happy said, "but I have a better idea, we simply go out the way they came in, and to do that" he looked to Lucy and Mira, "we show them some skin."
"I'm listening," Mira said
"No way in hell, cat," Lucy screamed
"All those soldiers from earlier were men, right," Happy said as he and Natsu showed several body shots of Lucy and Mira that they pulled from nowhere.
"Oh, my," Yukino muttered as her face turned deep red. as she started to back away from Lucy
"What we needed the cash, okay" Lucy shouted, "and why are you backing away."
"This takes me back," Mira said as she took the magazine "did you just have this on you," Mira asked.
"Naw, they were scattered all over here," Natsu said as he turned to see a bunch of Magazine slung around.
"These must be super old," Natsu said
"Yeah, it's from seven years ago," Happy said
"Seven years," Yukino asked
"It makes more sense than you think," Wendy told her
"There's a note," Lily said, "it reads 'I've been trapped down here for years and the only thing that's kept me joy is the gorgeous pictures, Mirajane is so freaking pretty, and when she stares at me with those big, beautiful eyes I can feel it the special bond between us' Lily read as he shook his head
"That made my skin crawl," Carla muttered
"Yeah, no," Mira said
"Aw, but it would be fun," Happy said
"No," Mira said
"Aye ma'am," Happy said, sulking away
"Are you always like this" Yukino asked
"Not all of the time," Wendy muttered she said as they started to walk away, not noticing the small flower with an eye that was watching them as they left.
"Awe man," Natsu groaned, "if I don't get any food, I'll think I'm going to keel over," he muttered.
"I doubt that's going to happen," Mira muttered
"How big is this place anyway," Lucy asked
"If I recall," Yukino said, "the guards said it was twice the size of Crocus," Yukino said
"I had to ask," Lucy said, "so speaking of which, how did negations go," Lucy asked.
"That's going on right now," Natsu said
"Then shouldn't you be with Mavis," Lucy asked
"We had to come to rescue you, dummy," Natsu said
"Awe Natsu didn't know you cared so much," Lucy teased
"Anyway," Natsu said, walking forward
"Even though we are in a hopeless situation, I do feel a little more at ease," Yukino said
"that's what's supposed to happen among friends," Mira said
"Yeah, friends," Yukino said
"Hey guys," Rossello said, coming down, "the ceiling is completely cut off," she said, landing.
"So there goes that plan," Natsu muttered, "come on, we should keep moving."
"And Natsu," Yukino said. "Mira," she said, "I've been meaning to thank you."
"For what" Natsu and Mira asked
"Standing up for me," she said, " both of you."
"Oh that," Mira said "don't worry about it," she said
"Yeah, it's what we do," Natsu said, smiling
"Still knowing that you two fought for me," she smiled. "I felt a happiness that I can't even describe."
"Well, you lived in Magnolia, didn't you," Natsu said, "even if you don't stay there now, we're still going to look after you."
[## Sorrow returns ##]
"I," Yukino stopped before a smile worked its way to her face, "even though I'm with the army now, this is only a temporary thing," she sighed.
"She has nowhere else to go," Lucy said "her parents are gone, and her sister went missing," Lucy said
"I see," Natsu said
"But from the bottom of my heart," Yukino said, "I sincerely thank you," she said
"No need to get all formal on me," Natsu said,
"Yeah, Natsu is not the formal type," Lucy said
"Yukino's, a decent girl," Lily said, "loyal and friendly."
"Keep that going, and Lily will be popping the question," Happy teased
"Do we need to have another private talk? Happy," Lily shouted,
"No sir," Happy said, "please stop the angry face."
"That's it," Wendy said, suddenly getting everyone's attention, she ran to Yukino grabbing her by the shoulders "it's pretty crazy, but she looks a lot like Lisanna," Wendy said
"Now that you mention it," Lucy said as she shot a glance at Natsu and Mira, who had stopped to overlook the girl.
"I guess she does," Mira muttered
"Yeah," Natsu said
"Umm, whose Lisanna," Yukino said, "if you don't mind me asking."
"She was," Mira stopped looking away, "she was my little sister," Mira said, a sorrowful look coming across her face.
"Did I do something wrong," Yukino asked
"No," Wendy said, "Lisanna died on a job gone wrong," Wendy said "it was about nine years ago," Wendy told her.
"I guess that's why Natsu had so much trouble talking to you," Mira said
"Yeah, sure, throw me under the bus, sis," Natsu groaned "hilarious." he said, looking away, "but yeah, I guess there is a resemblance."
"You only say that cause you liked her," Happy said, teasing him
"Oh, shut up," Natsu shouted at his feline friend
"I'm sorry for your loss," Yukino said
"it's alright," Natsu told her, smiling, "though I'm sure she would have been glad to meet you," Natsu said before long; a loud rumbling overtook the area, making them fall over.
"What was that" Lucy shouted
"I can feel the air," Wendy said, "like something opened a new pathway."
"Well, go check it out," Happy said as he and Carla few off
"You think that shaking was the cause," Lucy asked
"We found a pathway," Carla shouted, "we can get threw."
"Then come on," Natsu said as they ran to a narrow rockslide as they started to squeeze threw the walls
"This is going to be a tight fit," Mira muttered, "you okay, Yukino," Mira asked.
"Yes, I can make it," Yukino said
"you guys can do it," Happy called as Natsu and Wendy forced themselves out, landing on each other.
"Ouchy," Wendy muttered behind them. Lucy managed to squeeze herself out Land on top of the duo "Lucy," Wendy screamed.
"Sorry," Lucy said
"Too many late-night snacks," Natsu asked
"Oh, shut up," Lucy shouted
"Man, that was not fun," Kinana groaned
"You okay," Mira asked
"Yeah, I'll be fine," she said
"Natsu, you smell that," Wendy asked as Natsu looked around. Someone fell to the ground, making them jump as Meredy stood up, looking at them.
"When did you guys get here," she asked.
"Meredy," Rossello shouted as she ran to hug her friend, "you okay" she then looked behind her "is that," she asked.
"Arcadios," Yukino said
"Was he tossed in with the rest of us," Lucy asked
"doesn't explain these injuries," Carla said "what happened"
"I'll explain later we need to move now," Meredy shouted as a large figure appeared behind them. trying to slam them as everyone jumped out of the way. "I thought I lost these losers."
"The ground is melting away," Lucy screamed
"it's acid," Carla screamed
"My catch of the day," another person called as he tried to attack wendy as she backed up as two more people appeared behind them.
"You need to get out of here," Arcadios said, "you're in danger."
"So, you keep telling me," Meredy said, "but now I got back up."
"Who are these people," Natsu asked
"They serve Fiore from the shadows," Arcadios said "ruthless blood thirty executioners," he said as they all stepped in the light.
"We are the hungry wolf knights," the person at the front said. He was an average-sized man with purple hair cut in a military hairstyle, forming a long Widow's Peak on his forehead. he was wearing a metal mask covering his entire lower face with a protruding horn at the chin area. He wears armor completed with metal gloves with pointed horns located at each elbow as a knight. Below, he wears dark pants and black stripes boots covered by four pieces of cloth decorated with Fiore's symbol, which is being held by a black sash. On top of that, he dons a black hooded cape. To be capable of handling his Double Scythes at all times, he wears on his back a bag designed with a skull face and four blades protruding from all four cardinal directions. His two scythes form two arms in a facing palm position. Each scythe has large swords and horns at the edges. "We will be your end fairy tale."
Next to him was a relatively tall and thin woman with a light complexion. Her long, dark brown hair is tied back into two distinct sections; the first being two thin strands that are plaited and looped around to form hoops that sit on either side of her neck, while the rest and tied back with bows into two pigtails that flow in thick locks around her body, where they stop just above the ground, the ends curling. her long bangs to fall over her face and into her eyes, save for a single strand that curls upwards away from her head. Her attire is a simple black dress that wraps around her body like a robe. The front is left open, allowing her legs to be in full sight, while the back is much longer, being tailored to fall into two points. The edge of the cloth is patterned with squares, and the entire outfit is kept around her body through the use of a thick cloth belt tied just below her breasts and into a giant bow that sits at her back.
On her side was a man of average height with a distinctive appearance. His massive, mildly squared head is almost entirely bald, bearing only a long, wild and spiky mane of dark hair on top of it, reaching down to his middle back; each of his large, perennially wide-open round dark eyes bears six prominent eyelashes, three above and three below it, and he possesses thick lips which are almost always kept in a smile. His outfit resembles a fisherman: he sports a short-sleeved shirt left open, having a high and wide collar and bearing decorative motifs representing waves that extend across the chest to the sleeves area, and dark, mildly loose capri pants, held around his waist by an incorporated elastic band and bearing massive, light markings reminiscent of horizontally placed fishbones on both the front and back part of each leg; circling his forehead is a light, twisted towel, secured by a knot above his left ear.
On the other side, there was a man with a large build and overly muscular arms wrapped with bandages at the wrist. Compared to the rest of his body, he has disproportionately smaller legs. His eyes are narrow with a triangle-shaped nose, and his eyebrows are constantly furrowed. His hair is stylized in a spiked pompadour that spreads out onto his face in wide, arrow-shaped sideburns. His attire consists of a light-colored shirt with light-colored fur at the collar, wearing under a dark vest. This is all covered with a sleeveless jacket designed with fur around the neck, with the words "ACID RULE" written on the back. Below this, he wears a regular pair of dark-colored trousers held up with a light-centered belt, and he wears a pair of black shoes, with each shoe featuring a buckle near the back.
"Is that Cosmos," Wendy asked, pointing to the wizard saint that they had befriended she had a look of anger on her face.
"Awkward," Mira muttered.
"They're the reason it's impossible to escape this place," Arcadios said, "alive anyway."
"Then we're going to have to fight our way out," Natsu said
"Thought you'd never ask," Meredy said as she and Natsu stood side by side
"If you're fishing from trouble," one of them said, "you landed a whopper."

"let's be sure to leave one conscious so they can give us directions," Mira said. "Lucy, Yukino gets Arcadios to safety. Let us handle this," Mira said
"Alright," Lucy said as she and Yukino grabbed Arcadios, "not too sure if I'm a fan of this sit on the sidelines thing."
"you two help Lucy and Yukino," Lily said. "I'll help here," he said as he shifted to battle mode "been a while since I've been in a brawl."
"Stay still, Arcadios," Yukino said, "try not to move too much."
"You need to stop them," Arcadios said "fighting the hungry wolf knights isn't just reckless. It's suicide."
"Please everyone," Yukino muttered, "be careful," she said as Fairy's tail got ready to face off against the hungry wolf knights.
