Hey, fairy tail fans, and welcome back to a fairy tail re-told. The battle of the dragons is taking a turn as the dragon slayers have been bested, but the dragons still roam. Thanks to the efforts of Ultear, the dragon slayers were given one last shot to defeat Ryos and the dragons. Will our heroes be able to stop the dragon in time to save what is left of Crocus, or is it beyond saving? Find out now on a fairy tail re-told.
"Damn you," Zirconis screamed as Wendy got back, unleashing another white sky dragon roar on him.
"Princess," Arcadios said, "please, we need to clear the battlefield," he said
"Yes, please let me escort you," Cosmos said
"I can't run," Hisui said. "I will share the fate of my people."
"Hey guys," Lucy screamed. "I found something," she said, "you need to look at this."
"What is it," Yukino said
"it's my future selves diary," Lucy said
"If we destroy the eclipse gate, it won't exist in the future," Yukino asked.
"Would that even work?" Hisui asked, "Rouge and his minions have already come here."
"If we're lucky with to eclipse gate, they'll be sent back to their own time," Happy said
"it's worth a shot," Arcadios said, "but how do we destroy the eclipse," he asked.
"I made a promise to myself," Lucy said, "and I will, with all the power that we can muster, I swear that I'm going to keep it."
Golden grasslands
"You ready" Lucy asked
"Right," Yukino said
"All the celestial keys of the zodiac"
"Lend us the strength to seal away the wicked."
"{open the twelve gates: zodiac}" they screamed as all twelve of their spirits appeared, forming a circle around them this time; however, they all began to attack the gate with as much power as they could bring out. as they backed up as the gate stood without a scratch."
"what" Lucy screamed
"Not a scratch," Yukino muttered
"That cause Zeref most likely made it from a highly magic resting alloy," Arcadios said "destroying it will be no easy task," he said
"Then we break out the big guns," Lucy said. "Yukino, I need your help with this," she said
"Okay," Yukino said, "what spell will we cast."
"we're going to try Urno Metra," she said, "it takes a lot of magic power, and you need to be a celestial wizard to do it."
"But I don't" Yukino stopped. "Lucy, you saw my fight," she said, "I'm not strong enough."
"Yes, you are," Lucy said, "you can summon and use two of the twelve zodiacs" she smiled "you can do it," she reached out "it's time to stop waiting for your future to come," she smiled.
"Time to just go out and take it."

"Do you believe that you can stop me" Ryos shouted? "I will not stop until I've done what I've come to do," he screamed.
"I won't let you take anyone else's future," Natsu called
"you've already failed, Natsu," he said as he went up to him "there's nothing you can do," he shouted as he punched him away
"This is our future," Natsu screamed. "You won't win," he yelled as he and Natsu clashed again, creating a giant explosion as Natsu jumped over him
"{lighting flame dragon mode}" Natsu screamed, "{lighting flame dragon: iron fist}" he shouted as he punched Ryos into mother glare creating a giant explosion as the dragon reacted as he fell, he was caught by Atlas flame bringing him up as he jumped again
"You are nothing but a bug," Ryos screamed "you will not best me," he called
"Your mistake," Natsu said, "was that you killed the wrong wizard," he screamed
"Your right," Ryos shouted. "I should have killed you when I had the chance," he said, "your nothing but a roadblock," Ryos said, "until I reach my true goal," he muttered, "killing Acnologia," he screamed, "you will not get in my way Natsu dragneel."
on the ground, Meredy jumped away as the rock dragon tried to hit her again. As she landed on a piece of rubble, "{snow dragon: wing strike}" she screamed as she slammed it into the ground
"What are you" he shouted. "Why are you so strong."
"Cause my rage has been invoked," Meredy screamed as she slid back, "and you won't stop me," she screamed as she and the rock dragon clashed again and punched it away as the dragon fell. "Ultear sacrificed herself so we could have a future," she cried.
"Ultear," Cobra asked
"What happened," Riana asked
"No idea," Cobra said, "and I'm no fan of going into her head," he said, "not a fun place," he said as Meredy jumped over him, punching him again.
"you're a stubborn little ant," the rock dragon screamed, "you won't get the best of me, child."
"Is that so," Meredy asked as she jumped out of the way, landing on the ground. 'I need to end this,' she said 'this battle has gone on for far too long,' she thought. 'Ultear, I promise I'll make sure the future is worth living in," she screamed as she rushed again, stopping the charging dragon using her snow to lower the temperature on the dragons "let's see how you're rocks like the cold," Meredy shouted.
"Damn you, child," he screamed, "you're going to die here," he shouted as Meredy jumped away, landing on the flying rubble, letting out breaths of air. She smiled "what's the matter? You are getting tired."
"Not on your life," the rock dragon screamed "now die," he shouted as he let out a roar enough to get Meredy on the ground. He then rose, slamming into the ground, creating a shockwave making Meredy jump back as she stopped "what the matter, human getting tired."
"{snow dragons: wing attack}" Meredy screamed, forcing the rock dragon to the ground; it tried to get up as Meredy jumped "{snow dragons: shuriken}" she called as she unleashed an attack on him.
"you brat" the rock dragon screamed.
"it's time I end this," Meredy shouted as she landed on a piece of flying rubbled the snow around her taking the shape of a dragon "{Hyōka style dragon slayer secret art: hidden frost form Hellebores: Hoarfrost javelin}" she screamed as she slammed into the dragon forcing it to cough up blood.
"Did she just make that dragon bleed" Cobra screamed as the dragon feel over
Wendy jumped out of the way as she flew to the ground kicking Zirconis in the face and sending him to the ground. As he struggled to his feet, a lightning bolt struck him.
"Need some help, kid," Laxus said
"I told you I had it," Wendy said
"Yeah," Sting said, "but we can't let you have all the fun" this was enough to get a laugh out of her.
"Fine, just don't slow me down," Wendy said as they started fighting Zirconis again. Wendy jumped to the side, landing a strike on his arm as he reacted.
"You have to die," Zirconis screamed. "I don't care how but I will kill you," he called.
"Try it, bub," Wendy shouted as she did a flip kicking him in the face sending him to the ground, "cause I'm no losing to a pervert like you."
"Right," he said as he fired his light, "take this," he screamed as Wendy appeared underneath him, landing a kick in his jaw-closing his mouth "that hurt," Zirconis called.
"Yeah, well, keep that cloth thing to yourself," Wendy shouted, "this is one girl's dignity you're not getting," she screamed as she ran up to him "now take this," Wendy cried, "{white sky dragon: wing attack"} she shouted as Zirconis let out a roar in pain.
"Man, the kid is going at it," Laxus said "come on, he said," as he ran up, "we can't let Wendy hog all the fun," he said as he got ready "{lighting drakon: breath}" he screamed.
"{White dragon: roar}" Sting screamed as their attacks merged, forcing Zirconis to slide even further back as Wendy jumped up.
"Thank boys," Wendy said "let me finish this up," she said, "I got a bone to pick with this dragon," she said
"You do, huh," Zirconis said, "well, then you will regret that human."
"I have a name," Wendy shouted," and here's one from humanity," she screamed as she landed a punch on his back, sending him to the ground.
"you brat," Zirconis called, "you'll pay for that," he screamed as he got up again.
"then come and make me," Wendy shouted as Zirconis slammed the ground; she turned quickly, taking him in; she smiled as she as he fell to the ground, complete defenseless "there's my shot," she said as she landed on the floor fixing her stance 'alright you saw Natsu do it' she said it should be just like using it typically. Still, more power is needed," she started taking in a deep breath.
"What are you," Zirconis asked, "no, that's not."
"Advanced dragon slayer secret art," Wendy shouted, "{shatter light: holy drill}," she screamed as the blast overtook Zirconis. He let out a roar in pain as he fell to the ground.
"you're going to have to do better than that," Gajeel screamed as the dragon tried to hit him, but he kept moving to grab it, slamming it to the ground with a club "you are not beating me," he screamed as the dragon shot up, firing off a breath attack as Gajeel countered
"Gajeel, are you okay," Rogue asked.
"Me," Gajeel said, "I've never felt better." he said, "stay focused, kid," Gajeel shouted, "We gotta take this dragon down," he screamed as he and the dragon clashed again.
"they're doing it," Ichiya said, "they're going to beat it."
the dragon slammed the ground as Gajeel jumped back "we should do our assault now, men."
"Stay right where you are," Gajeel shouted as he stood up. "I can handle this," he screamed as he jumped up "{iron dragon: club}" he called as he landed a hit on the dragon as it slid back.
"Damn it, this thing is tough," Gajeel said as it rose, acting like a bat; he swooped down again as Gajeel used his iron to keep its mouth open" take this," he screamed. "{Iron dragons roar,}" he called, pushing it back. It let out a roar of pain as it fell to the ground.
"Now my turn," Rogue shouted. 'I don't care what they say. My future is my own,' he said, 'I will not be tainted by darkness' Rogue smiled. "I will not stop," he screamed "my fate and future are my own; my magic will not define who I am," he shouted as the shadow vanished from behind him {shadow dragon roar} he screamed as the dragon blocked the attack it let out a roar as Rogue landed on the ground Gajeel" he shouted.
"Hold on," Gajeel shouted as he jumped away. "you're going to be bested by us," Gajeel screamed, "and you're not destroying anything," he said "the age of dragons is over," he cried.
"{dragon slayer secret art: Karama demon: Iron shadow dragon's breath}" he screamed as he let a loud breath attack hit back the dark dragon, forcing it to fall over as Gajeel continued his roar before falling back; he looked overseeing the dragon fall over.
"Alright," Lucy said, "join hands with me, okay."
"Right," Yukino said
"But you never told me" Yukino was stopped when Lucy smiled at her "don't worry," she said, "the spell will come to you," as she activated power overcame Yukino as she and Lucy got ready to cast Urno metria.
"What is" she stopped. "I can feel it," she whispered.
"Survey the Heavens, Open the Heavens... All the stars, far and wide... Show me thy appearance... With such shine." they chanted the magic in the area growing around them. "Oh, Tetrabiblos... I am the ruler of the stars... Aspect becomes complete... Open thy malevolent gate. Oh, 88 Stars of the heaven... Shine! Urano Metria!" they screamed as a bright light shined around them, creating a large explosion as the gate stood firm as Yukino topped over.
"Damn it," Lucy groaned "what can we do," she asked "wait," she said, "there is that spell," she said she looked at the eclipse gate "it's the only way," she has said.
"To destroy the gate."
Levy stopped before joining Miko and the others in watching in the city the smoke from the fires. They shook their heads as they continued moving.
"We gotta keep going," she shouted
"Right," Miko said, "come on."
Atlas flame and motherglare flew through the streets as Natsu and Ryos continued fighting. "I'll knock you out of here," Natsu shouted, punching him in the stomach as he slid back as they went through a building. "Back to your own time," he screamed.
"I won't leave until I'm finished here," Ryos shouted
"Oh yeah, and what'll happen to the Rogue of our time" he shouted
"He and I will become one," Ryos said, "like two shadows overlapping," he said
"I won't let you take away his future," Natsu screamed
"If Acnologia lives, then there is no future," Ryos shouted, "why do you fail to see that this is the only way to save us from that dragon."
"we'll find our own way," Natsu screamed.
"That's why I'm here," Ryos shouted "to take back our world," he screamed as he landed an attack on Natsu he fell over, nearly falling off of motherglare he grabbed onto a loose scale as he pulled himself up as Ryos laughed as Natsu caught his breath "why do you fight it Natsu," he asked "you've seen Acnologia's power first hand," he said, "we needn't be enemies."
"What about Frosh," Natsu asked
"Frosh is dead," Ryos muttered
"So, what," Natsu said "he's still alive today," Natsu said, "and I bet he's terrified," Natsu said
"One year from now," Ryos muttered. "Frosh dies," he said,
"And there was nothing you could do about it," Natsu asked
"No," Ryos noted, "he was taken away from me," he said, "and this shadow took over" he smiled, "but I like it," he laughed. "I love this feeling; I don't need love," he said "all I need is power," he screamed "our only hope is destruction," he screamed,
"Not on your life," Natsu called, " that doesn't sound like hope to me" Natsu should as he and Rogue clashed again, Natsu activated his dragon force as light and shadow started to surround them "all you're going to do is cause more pain" he shouted, "you can stop Frosh's death right now."
"that's what your problem is," Ryos shouted "that's why you fail to best Acnologia," he called, "you're so worried about everyone else future that you don't worry about yourself," he screamed, "you'll never best him with that mentality."
"I'll never stop," Natsu shouted "so long as I can fight, I will protect my family's future," Natsu screamed. "I'll make sure they have a future worth living," he called. "As long as I'm here, they don't need to worry about tomorrow," he screamed.
"Natsu," Atlas Flame screamed as scales grew around Natsu's body.
"No matter what is going to happen tomorrow," Natsu screamed. "I'll keep living to fight today," he shouted {Igneel style dragon slayer secret art}" he yelled as mother glare looked in shock "{hidden fire form: flame lotus Phoenix sword}" he screamed, slamming into Rogue, sending them both crashing into the earth landing near the eclipse gate.
"I can't believe it," Lucy muttered "they're all gone" she looked around, seeing the body of Mira, bringing tears to her eyes as she forced herself up. Seeing the rubble around her as she saw the castle fall 'they were too much," Lucy cried as eh forced herself up "why after everything we've been through, why" she called as she saw Gajeel land on the ground "no," she muttered as a dragon came up to her blasting some fire as Natsu jumped din the way.
"Sorry about that," Natsu said, "you alright."
"Natsu," Lucy muttered "it's all gone," she cried.
"Just stay here," he said, "you picked a fight with the wrong guy," Natsu screamed as he rushed forward "fire dragons}" he screamed as he got ready "brilliant flame, sword horn, crushing fang," he shouted as he knocked the dragon from the sky.
"Natsu, it is no use," Lucy said between tears "there's no way you can beat that, maybe."
"Not by himself at least," Gajeel said. He was missing an arm, but he was still going behind him. Wendy and Meredy stood up as well, covered in blood, but they wouldn't stop wither "{iron dragon roar}" he screamed as he knocked a dragon down as jumped around.
"{sky dragons: wing attack}."
"{snow dragons: roar}" Meredy screamed as a giant dragon jumped out of the way before attacking again.
"Watch out" Wendy screamed, pushing him out of the way as a piece of wood came from the ground piercing her back, making her cough up blood as several more pieces of wood pierced her body.
"Wendy," Lucy muttered as Gajeel was blown away, fire taking away his body and disappearing, leaving dust as a dragon grabbed Meredy slamming her body into the ground.
"No," Natsu said. He landed next to Lucy, struggling to his feet. He smiled "don't worry," he said, "I'm not giving up," he said as he rushed in again as Lucy sat there, fear in her voice.
"Natsu!"
Shaking the thoughts from her head, Lucy growled, "Arcadios, get the princess away from here," she said, her voice taking a commanding tone, "get as far away as you can."
"Lucy, what are you about to do," Yukino said
"Just trust me," Lucy said, "this is our last shot," she said "if this doesn't work," she said. "I don't know what will," she said.
Lucy, you must promise me,' the king asked, 'only use this spell in a dire emergency; it consumes so much magic power that it could be fatal.'
"Alright," Arcadios said, "come, princess."
"No, I'm not," Hisui started.
"I'm not asking; I'm telling," Lucy said "you need to get far away from the gate as you can," she said, "I don't have any control over this spell, but it's our best shot."
"Come on," Cosmos said, "we need to go."
"Lucy," Yukino muttered, "what are you going to do."
"I might not have enough power," Lucy said, "but it's all I can do."
"Then I'll help you," Yukino said, "if we pull this spell off."
"No, you barely have the strength to stand after."
"No," Yukino screamed, "for once," she said, "for once I'm not going to sit back and watch as everything I love dies," she called "please," she grabbed Lucy's hand, "let me help you," she said, "cause I want to save my future to" she cried "we're going to do it together."
Lucy didn't know what to say, so she just smiled "okay," she said, "let me handle casting the spell," she said, "it takes a lot," she said as she turned back "get moving," she said, " get some cover " she screamed.
"Understood," Arcadios said, "come, princess."
"Be careful, Lucy," Kinana screamed.
"don't worry about me," Lucy said. "I can handle this" "now," she looked to Yukino, "repeat after me, okay," she said
"Right," Yukino said
"oh, zodiac, of the twelve stars, oh 88 stars of heaven," Lucy started as Yukino followed close behind, "we ask you grant us the light to cleanse the lands, the sea, and heavens," she asked as a bright light shined around them large magic circle forming beneath them as they got ready to cast the spell, "we ask thee oh thy malevolent gate" Lucy screamed, "shine to bare your fangs grant us the light of the king."
"We need to move," Carla shouted
"Aye, sir," Happy screamed
"So bright," Rossello screamed
"Get behind me," Cosmos shouted as she pulled several roots out of the ground "come here, princess," he said as Arcadios grabbed her, protecting her with his body as the ground started to shake.
"shine, unleash your fury," Lucy and Yukino said in unison "{Regulas metria}" they screamed as a bright light shined over the kingdoms, causing the ground to shake a large beam in the shape of a sword crashed into the ground as everyone saw the bright light shining from Mercurius as Lucy and Yukino fell to the ground the gate lying in ruins.
"That worked," Lucy joked as Yukino chuckled as she sat her down "you okay."
"Yeah," Yukino said, "I'll be fine" as Mira came up to them
"Nice job, ladies," Mira said as she helped Yukino to her feet "you did us, proud Hun," she said, giving her a hug
"Thank you, Mira," Yukino said
"You destroyed the gate Lucy" Happy cheered
"Nice work," Carla said
"Aye," Rossello said
"you made that look easy," Kinana said
"I don't believe it," Arcadios muttered "the gate was meant to be indestructible," he muttered.
"So, what should happen now," Hisui asked.
"If we're right, then the gate should cease to exist in the future," Yukino said," and everything should go back to normal."
Above them, Atlas flame had appeared. Seeing Natsu near the rubble of the eclipse gate, he smiled as he started to glow.
"what's going on," Lucy asked.
"we're returning to our own time," Atlas flame said
"That's a shame," Natsu said. "I wanted to talk some more," he called out to his uncle

"Son of Igneel," came a voice as Natsu turned to see Motherglare turning to him "please, before I return, grant me this request
elsewhere in the ruins of the city, the rock dragon stood up "warrior," he said, "you have earned my respect," he said, "daughter of Hyōka," he said
"you know my mother," Meredy asked
"Son of Metalicanna," the dark dragon said as it shifted its body so it may look at Gajeel, "come and face me."
"You knew," Gajeel asked, "and are you looking for a fight."
"A dragon knows when they're beaten," Zirconis said as he looked at Wendy "please grant me the honor."
"Grant me the honor of your name."
Natsu smiled as he turned away as the dragon slowly started to vanish. He laughed
"Natsu dragneel"
"Gajeel Redfox"
"Wendy Marvell"
"Meredy"
the four said nothing as the dragons behind them started to disappear. Wendy looked up to see Hisui walking up to her, "princess, please be careful."
"It's alright," she said. "I am the one to blame for this," she said, "so please," she said, "do not take your anger out on them," she said
"And who are you," Zirconis asked
"I am Hisui E. Fiore," she said "in the language of my people, it means Jade," she smiled, "just like your color," she said, smiling, "so I will call you the jade dragon."
"Jade dragon, huh" Zirconis smiled. "I like that," was he was able to get out before he vanished again as Wendy sighed. If she never saw that dragon again, it would be too soon. She turned, seeing that Kisya started to glow. Tears appeared on her face.
"We failed," she muttered. "Lord Ryos, please," she muttered, "forgive me."
All across the city, the mini dragons released started to vanish as well. The wizards fighting all stopped letting out relived sighs
"I will never forget you," Atlas flame said. "Natsu dragneel"
"Thanks, uncle," Natsu whispered, "couldn't have done it without ya."
"We did it," Cana said
"Hell ya, we did," Laki shouted
"Good," Makarov muttered, "the dragon slayer," Makarov asked, "you think they did it."
"Yes," Mavis said, "I believe they were able to beat the dragons they came across."
"That was awesome, Gajeel," Hibiki said
"Yeah, I can see why you were phantoms, top man," Ren said, "though I could have done better."
"You're such a hunk," Jenny said
"Yeah, thanks," Gajeel said
"Rogue," Frosh called out as he ran to his friend
"You okay, Frosh" Rogue asked
"Yep," Frosh said, " you were amazing."
"This isn't over," Kayara muttered, trying to get up only to fall down, her body glowing "you won't best me," she said
"it's over," he said "you're going back to your own time," she said as Gajeel smiled "better luck next time," he looked away, "sis."
"Watch your back, blacksteel," Kayara said "my family line will hunt you down," she screamed as she vanished. "you will rue the day you messed with the diamond dragon," she screamed.
"To think," Cobra muttered, "we could barely scratch the thing," he said
"And she came and made it look easy," Riana said as Meredy let herself sit next to a piece of rubble, "a truly wonderful display."
"Fitting the name," Jura said, "dragon slayers" he smiled as he walked up to the girl, "and excellent display," he said as she looked up, wiping away a stray tear."
"Thanks," Meredy said
"You know if you two were to make a run for it," Riana said, turning around. "I'm far too injured to stop you."
"As tempting as that sounds," Cobra said, "naw, I gotta get back behind bars," he said, "an old friend of mine would just make me go back."
"You don't want to sneak off and see them," Jura asked
"Naw, hearing their voice is enough," Cobra said "come on, let's get back to my jailers," he laughed "nice seeing ya, white terror." Meredy scoffed, rolling her eye, far too injured to care about that name right now
"I told you they would be here," Lyon said as Gray, Sherry, and Juvia ran up the wizards.
"Meredy," Juvia called, as she ran to where the girl was sitting, "you look awful."
"You should see the other guy," Meredy joked, trying to laugh "ouch," she said, her hand going to her side. laughing right now was a bad idea, noted
"Man, you know how to brawl," Gray said
"You should get her out of here," Jura said "we'll turn a blind eye," Jura said, "this time."
"Thanks, old man," Gray said, "We owe you."
"let's call it even," Jura said. "I still owe you for Nirvana."
"Come on, Meredy," Juvia said as he helped the girl to her feet, "we'll find Jellal, and hopefully, we can get Wendy to get you patched up."
"Thanks, guys," Meredy said
"Wait," a voice called it was Akuma said as he fell to the ground, his body starting to fade "this battle is not over yet."
"It is," Meredy said. "I beat you fair and square, then I beat a dragon," she turned around, "so get the hell out of my timeline," she said as Akuma vanished.
"Who was that" Juvia said
"no one important," Meredy answered as they left the area
"Juvia is just glad you're okay," Juvia said, "you still owe her, remember."
"Yeah," Meredy muttered, looking at Juvia, "I guess I do," she said as she let herself relax on her friend. "I can't go dying yet." she whispered, "not till I make up for all the wrong I've done."
"Juvia would be disappointed if you didn't." she smiled, "and between you and me," Juvia smiled, "she thinks your on the right track."
Natsu said nothing as he watched Ryos start to glow. "I may not know Rogue very well," Natsu said, "but he will never become you."
"that shadow," Ryos muttered "it is relentless," he muttered, "it will not stop until it swallows him whole," he laughed "then on that fateful day, I lost Frosh. It consumes me," he looked over to Natsu "you must warn the Rogue of your time to protect Frosh," he said "from him," he told him. Lucy had come through the ruins of the eclipse gate. She could see Natsu still talking with Ryos. She smiled as she walked up to him.
"Or they will kill Frosh."

Inside the palace future, Lucy's body had started to glow as she slowly opened her eyes looking around, she was in a field she had no idea where she was, but it felt warm and pleasant. She could see the clear blue sky above her "there you are," a voice called.
"Took you long enough."
"Yeah, why you always gotta be the last one."
"Come on already."
"Yeah, everybody's waiting on you."
"You were waiting for me," Lucy said "why" a person ran down to her. It was Natsu. He smiled as he held his hand out.
"Duh, we still have adventures to go on" he smiled as she took his hand
"Yeah," Lucy said, wiping her tears, "let's go," she said as Natsu brought her to her friend. As they all hugged before running off to find their next adventure
Lucy felt a tear come to her face as her future self's journal vanished from her arm. She smiled and ran to Natsu, hugging him from behind as he looked back. He smiled as he turned away
"You alright," Natsu asked
"Yeah," Lucy said, "I'm fine," she said
"Thank you"
