Hey fairy tail fans, and welcome back to a fairy tail re-told; today, we have another episode dedicated to the past; of course, this one is actually based on an episode one called Moulin Rouge, but there will be a difference in any case I have already planned the next story arc. Hence, we just have two more stories before we get into it, and I'll explain everything then.

Last time on a fairy tail

Lucy: During the grand magic games, we learned a lot about how everyone came to Magnolia.

Gray: yeah, I had no idea it mattered to so many people

Erza: though I do wonder how Bisca came here

Lucy: now that you mention it, I don't think she told us

Today we find Magnolia in a relative state of peace as wizards are slowly repouring into the city, bringing down the amount of work that was going through the town. As our heroes return to somewhat everyday life in the game room, we find Natsu, Happy, standing over a brand-new pool table "this is new," Natsu muttered

"Aye," Happy said, "when did this get here."

"it was a reward from our last job," Juvia said

"yeah," Gray explained, "we took a job for this old guy who loves pool," Gray said "when we went to get paid, he taught us how to play, so we ended up playing a few rounds," Gray said "and we enjoyed it so much I figured the people here would too," he said as he took off his jacket "now watch and learn."

"do you have to strip," Lucy asked

"if you wanna be a pro," Gray told her

"so, what do you strip professionally now," Natsu asked

"shut up," Gray shouted "let me focus," he said, "if you want to be good, you have to be one with your magic."

"what will it take for you to become one with me" Juvia shouted

"I have to admit; Lucy said, "he does look pretty cool."

"back off, wench, he's mine," Juvia shouted as Gray started

"you know what I love," Gray said, "the sound of a ball going into the hole."

"so do I, my love," Juvia shouted again.

"wow, Gray," Wendy said, walking up to the group "you really talented at this," she said as gray knocked some more balls into the hole.

"I must admit," Carla said, "for once, he's managed to impress me." as gray knocked a few more.

"Time for the last one," he said as he knocked the final ball everyone cheered as Gray smiled.

"do it again," Juvia shouted.

"I have to admit, Gray," Lucy said, "that was impressive."

"well, I could show you sometime," Gray told her

"I warned you," Juvia whispered behind Lucy

"Alright," Natsu said, "I'll take a turn."

"try not to put too much power into it," Gray said "no offense, pyro but holding back really ain't your strong suit."

"oh, shut up, ice princess," Natsu said. "I know what I'm doing," he said

"Aye," Happy said

"We should get down," Carla said as Natsu hit the ball, sending it into the air flying around the room as it nearly missed Lucy's head; she let out a scream.

"See, told you," Gray said

"I got it," Natsu said again as he did again, only for the ball to go flying around as everyone jumped down as it flew across the room as Mira came downstairs.

"Is everything okay down here?" she asked as the ball flew to her. She caught it with one arm looking down " a cue ball," she asked "been a while since I've seen one of these," Mira muttered, "since when did we have a pool table."

"Sorry about that, sis," Natsu said, "trying to learn how to play pool" Natsu laughed.

"Yeah," Lucy said, "we're breaking in the new pool tables."

"you wanna join," Gray asked, coming up to the group "we could always use more hands."

"Been a while since I've played pool," Mira muttered

"you used to play," Natsu asked

"yes," Mira admitted, "I played it well years ago."

Moulin Rouge

twelve years ago, long before the fated betrayal of Laxus and the death of her sister Lisanna we find Mirajane out of town, just coming back from another successful job. She decided to stop to get a rest; however, she was at some point dragged into playing a local pool game "so you are just the white ball to hit the numbered ball into the holes," someone explained, "and you win by getting all the balls in the hole."

"I think I get it," Mira said as she fixed her hair "it seems like an interesting game."

"that's good," someone else said "you can stop by here anytime," he said as Mira bent over before hitting the ball a little too hard, sending it right through the numbered balls, destroying them in the process as everyone in the room jumped in shock.

"damn it," Mira said, "sorry I busted your balls."

"Please don't say it like the" someone asked, "but it's alright why don't you kickback? You'll get the hang of it."

"naw, I need to get back to Magnolia anyway," Mira admitted

"wait," someone asked, "you're a wizard from Magnolia" everyone in the room let out a scream in terror as they jumped behind something "please don't hurt us," they all screamed as Mira looked around; confused "It's my daughter's birthday."

"what the hell" Mira shouted. She was used to people being scared of her, but she hadn't done anything yet" she looked around "what's wrong" she asked, "Hey, tell me now."

"no, don't hurt me. I got five kids," someone shouted, "and a cat," he called "whatever it is, we won't do it no more."

"I will hurt you if you don't tell me what the hell is going on," Mira shouted. "what the hell is wrong with the wizards of magnolia" if she was honest, she didn't care for most of them anyway, not with the way they treated her family, but most of them were good people, and they said wizards that included the tiny group of people she considered friends, and if something was going on she needed to fix no one would tarnish her or anyone she cared about name not unless she had anything to say about it that it is

"we're talking about Moulin Rouge," someone said

"who," Mira asked

"don't pretend to not know your own ally," he shouted, "they say she's an immigrant that came across the sea," he said, "and quick as lighting."

"yeah," another person said, "she and her partner sunny, five days ago they rode out and robbed a train, but that wasn't enough to satisfy their greed, because they rode off and robbed a bank after that."

"she'd kill you quick as lighting," someone shouted

"I only feel safe in your arms," another man called

"robberies of that caliber," Mira muttered. "Mavis would have heard about it by now," she wondered.

"well, she said she did it," the bartender said, "and I'm not one to question bandits."

"So why haven't you put a hit on her," Mira asked "hell, Magnolia is literally down the way from here," she shouted.

"cause she's from a guild in that town," the bartender said, "apparently there so strong that the magic council is scared them."

"not that we're afraid to stand up to her, lots of people have tried," someone said, "but she beat the tar out of every one of them."

"Just mentioning her name is enough to make me wet my pants."

"I doubt that" Mira muttered, "and besides, there are no guilds in Magnolia," Mira let out a sigh, "but seeing as you all are hopefully pathetic," Mira added, "I'll take care of your little bandit problem," Mira said

"you will," everyone in the room called.

"yeah, but it will cost you," Mira said

"that is saying you can beat her," someone shouted. Mira then pointed to the pool table where the now destroyed pool balls had burnt through the table. Everyone deadpanned as Mira started to walk away.

"so where could I find this Moulin rouge," Mira asked

"Last I heard, she went to the sweet shops next door," someone told her

"Thanks," Mira said as she left the place and looked at the sweets shop looking it over; she entered the sweet smell of sweets entering her nose ' must resist the urge to buy sweets," Mira thought to herself. 'you are on the job' Mira looked around 'as a solo wizard, you need to hold yourself, and by them, once you beat up this wannabe bandit.'

"Hello," a server girl said as she walked up to Mira "welcome may I help you today," she asked.

"Actually, I'm looking for someone," Mira asked. "I was hoping you could give me some information," she asked.

"oh," the server said, "well, I'll do my best."

before Mira could open her mouth again, a loud voice rang across the restaurant "what the hell is this" someone screamed. The duo turned to see who Mira assumed was Moulin Rouge. "this is so sweet it makes me sick," she cried "did I ask for butterfly crap dipped in sugar."

"well, ma'am," the server started.

"what" Rouge shouted "don't you dare tell me what's in this crap," she screamed "it's butterfly crap dipped in sugar," she shouted again "now, where the hell is your manager" she screamed as Mira excused herself approaching the pair.

"I'm sorry, ma'am," the server said, "but she's not in today."

"oh yeah," Rouge said as he raised her fist only to be stopped by Mira

"I'm looking for a girl they call Moulin Rouge," she asked as she and Rouge traded glares. The entire place went silent as they watched the pair "you wouldn't happen to know her, would you" she asked

"depends on who's asking," Rouge said as Mira took a spoon dipping into the ice cream. As she took a bite

"This is a little sweet," she looked at the server "you might want to step back," she said "sour girls like you," she said, turning back to Moulin Rouge, "won't be able to enjoy all that much."

"is that so," Rouge asked, "what are you, my new server."

"just a girl looking for a little cash," Mira muttered "hear there this super-strong bandit that supposed to live her" a dark grin grew across Mira's face, "but all I see is a pansy," she said

"what" Rouge asked

"you think you're so tough" Mira laughed "preying on servers and a bunch of morons," Mira said, letting her laughter come out "man, talk about a new low," she said again.

"you wanna say that again," Rouge asked, veins popping from her forehead as she and Mira continued their staring match. The entire place went silent as everyone started to duck under the tables as the two had a staring match once again. Part of their town would be destroyed by moulin rouge was what everyone thought as they all watched as she and Mira boreholes into each other heads.

"then let me speak up," Mira said as she slammed the table, creating a large explosion and making everyone run out of the restaurant. As Rouge backed up in shock, one could even see Lucy make her way from the chaos. Mira gave her a devious grin as she looked up to the girl, terror on her face as she backed up. "I said, you're a pansy, coward," Mira said "cause when someone with real strength shows up," she said to her, "you'll be dead in the water."

"they're crazy"

"We didn't even get to eat the Carmel moose."

"that so," Rouge asked as she shot up, "listen here girly, they call me the lighting bandit around these parts," she laughed, "and I have a theory as to why," she laughed "you see, you may get struck by lightning but it nowhere near as easy to catch" she screamed as rushed past Mira grabbed in cloths and ripping them off as Mira covered herself quickly as people outside looked in "pay my tab will ya" Rouge laughed.

"at first, this was just a job," Mira growled out as Bisca turned to see a dark energy coming from her, "but now," she laughed. "you just made it personal," she screamed as she activated her take over as Bisca backed up in terror "now die."

"I think you have anger issues," Rouge shouted "wait, no," she shouted as she tried to run away as Mira grabbed her by the head, slamming her into the wall sending her right through as she landed in the room.

"what was that" someone shouted

"that wall exploded"

"Why did you bring her here" the bartender screamed, "take it outside."

"any last words," Mira asked.

"a takeover spell," Rouge laughed, "you think that will be enough to take me down" she laughed. "Well, guess what, girly, you're going to have to up your game" Rouge felt her finger twitch 'soon, she'll be down like all the rest" she laughed as she and Mira faced off.

"be careful," the bartender shouted, "she's the master of the quick draw."

"That so," Mira laughed "then fine," she said, "draw, I need the exercise anyway."

"wow, there," Rouge laughed. "I'm not one to give tips to my enemies, but you're going hand to hand versus a gun," she laughed "not the brightest idea, even if I wasn't the quickest draw on the continent."

"if your done bragging," Mira asked, "let's get started."

[## the beautiful demon: Mirajane##]

"fine then, your funeral," she shouted as she fired her gun three times. Mira dodged the first two before using her finger to send one of the balls into the pool table "what" Rouge shouted, "what the hell" she screamed as she fired again as. Mira git the bullet sending it into the white ball as it hit the numbered balls.

"I knew this chick was trouble," someone shouted, "but I didn't know how much."

"Did she just hit the ball with the bullet?" someone else asked

"I saw, but I still don't believe it."

"I thought you were fast," Mira asked, "compared to what, a turtle," she laughed.

"damn you," Rouge shouted as she fired her gun multiple times as. Mira simply blocked each bullet, sending more balls into the holes. She closed the distance between the two, and everyone in the room looked in shock as Mira smiled "give in," she screamed as the final ball went in before she could blink; Mira had her pinned down. "what."

"admit defeat," Mira said as she grew out her claws, "and I promise that it will be quick," she growled as Rouge raised her gun at her "go ahead, try it," Mira told her, "but seeing as I finished my game, the only place that bullet will go," she said as she looked in in the eyes "is through your skull," she said as tears found their way to Rouges face.

"you wench," she said, fear laced in her voice, "you're a monster," she said as her voice cracked. Everyone in the pool area was shocked to see the infamous Moulin Rouge on the verge of tears "please, I don't wanna die," she said, "I'm sorry, okay," she cried. "I won't ever do it again."

"you should have thought about that," Mira said, "before you stripped me" she raised her fist, ready to land the final blow as Rouge felt tears come down her face.

"wait, please," Rouge shouted "please don't kill me," she cried "if you kill me, no one will be able to watch after sunny," she called, closing her eyes as Mira's fist stopped inches from her face, she let out a breath of terror as a shadow covered Mira's face, she looked at her. "please" her voice was now so quiet as she sat there begging for her life.

"what," Mira asked

"Sunny," she said, "he's all I have," she admitted. "I'm an immigrant, so it not like I can get work easy around here," she said, "and no guild will take me in," she cried, "so I resort to the only thing left, I need to steal money so I can pay for Sunny's medicine" she cried "without it, he dies" she called "then I'll have no one." she looked at Mira "please I'm begging you." she said "if I die then so will Sunny," she said, "none of this is his fault."

Mira was in shell shock. Her mind flashed to her life before she met Mavis, her eyes going to her right arm. Looking it over, she remembered what her Lisanna and Elfman had to do to survive, how they had to steal food to make it to the next day; even when they found Natsu, they often still had to resort to it.

"that's so sad."

"I forgive you, bandit," the bartender screamed.

'this world is an unkind place,' Mavis told her, 'but we can still find beauty in it if you are willing to look."

"I don't wanna die," Rouge cried "please, I promise I'll go straight," she said as Mira backed up her take over form wearing off as she returned to her regular clothes

"I understand," Mira whispered, "more than you will ever imagine" she sighed as she stood up. "I'll turn a blind eye to your banditry," Mira said. as she stood up, patting her on the head, "I too have people that I want to protect more than anything" she smiled at her "people who without, I don't know what I'd do" she sighed as she stood up

"wait," Rouge said, "you're just letting me go."

"don't push it," Mira said as she started to walk away, taking some cash from her pocket "for the repair bill," Mira said, "sorry about the hole," she said, "and you," she said to the still teary-eyed Rouge. "if you need work" she gave a smile "come to Magnolia that's a place wizards like us can go to find jobs," she said

"Magnolia," Rouge asked, "will they really take me."

"it's a town of misfits, assholes, and more drunks than you would think possible," Mira told her, "but that's where I found my family," she said as she left.

"what do you think, Sunny" Rouge asked as s tiny mouse appeared on her head

"you robbed us blind over a mouse," everyone screamed

End Flashback

Mira smiled as she looked at the ball in her hand as Alzack, Bisca, and Asuka came down the stairs "hey everyone," they shouted.

"hey, welcome home," Natsu said

"How did the job go," Lucy asked

"It went fine," Bisca said

"We got a pool table," Alzack asked, "where'd ya get them, man."

"Long story," Gray said.

"we went on a job, and a client gave them to us as a reward," Juvia explained.

"well, not that long," Gray admitted

"so, how do you play" Asuka asked

"you see those balls with the numbers," Happy said

"Yep, yep," Asuka said

"you see, you use that stick to hit them in the hole one by one," Happy said "you have to hit the nine ball in last," Happy said

"I'm surprised you remembered that" Caral muttered

"you wanna play a round, Carla," Wendy asked.

"until I know more about the game than Happy," Carla said, "no."

"what if we use it like a bat," Erza asked

"I don't think that will work," Natsu told her

"Aye"

"This takes me back," Bisca muttered

"me too," Mira said, "so you find what you were looking for," she asked her.

"yeah," Bisca said, "lost it for a bit," she looked at Mira, "but I think I got it back two" she smiled as they reminisced "found my family, you."

"yeah," Mira said, "I found my family too."

Flashback

"Man," Happy groaned, "it's been raining for days," he said "when do you guys think it will stop," he asked.

"I don't know." Lisanna said, "what do you say we play a game to pass the time" she suggested

"Aye," Happy said

"what game" Natsu asked

"a manly one," Elfman shouted

"play nice," Mira said, still looking out the window almost as if she was expecting someone when the door opened as. Rouge walked through the door with a smile on her face as she smiled at the girl "about time you showed up," Mira told her, smiling, "come on, I'll get you some food."

[##Nakama Tachi##]

"So, what do you think," Mira asked, "my name is Mira, by the way."

"Just call me Bisca," Bisca said smiling, "Thank you."

"Hey, you must be new," Natsu said. "I know we just met, but we should fight," he said

"no need, Natsu," Mira said, "We already fought."

"wow, she fought you and is still standing," Natsu said "she must be hardcore," he laughed. "Welcome to Magnolia," he said

"yep," Lisanna said, coming next to her, "it is the place to be"

End Flashback

"hey, what do you say to a rematch," Bisca asked "just promise to use the pool stick this time" Bisca laughed

"if you say so," Mira said as they got ready. "just promise me you won't wet your pants this time" Mira laughed as Bisca pouted

"I didn't know you knew how to play pool," Alzack asked as Sunny jumped into his arms

"just sit and watch, babe," Bisca said, "let me show Mira how it's done."

"they look like pros," Wendy said

"They do have excellent form," Carla said

"let's do this," Mira said

"Alright," Bisca shouted

this episode was so out of nowhere if you ask me, but still a good watch and read that I had to include it at some point anyway; we have like two filler episodes left before the start of the next arc, so I'll tell you when we get there
