Hey, fairy tail fans, and welcome back to a fairy tail re-told; here we are with another fanfic exclusive chapter cause I know how much you all love those, so we have one standard and a, well, a special one for the next chapter, but I'll get to that one later right now let's get into today's special chapter which is more for character chapter than anything no major plot points or anything just character interacting.
Last time on a fairy tail re-told
Lucy: when was the last time we had a harvest festival
Happy: Aye, it's been seven years
Natsu: that seven years of entire city partying we need to make up for
Lucy: I don't think I like the sound of that
Natsu: well, you should
Happy: Aye sir
Today we find ourselves in the magnolia train station as several familiar faces have started to get off. It was several members of the Sabertooth guild "we finally made it to Magnolia," Lector cried. He looked over to see Sting and Rogue having fallen over because of their motion sickness "come. Sting, let's go."
"never," Sting groaned, "never riding this stupid train again," he cried
"you always say that," Yukino said as she helped him off the train "come on, we're going to be late," she said
"you still haven't told us what we're doing," Orga asked
"yes," Rufus asked, "why would we be stopping in Magnolia."
"hold on" Yukino said
"umm Yukino" Frosh said
"yes," Yukino asked
"we left Rogue on the train," Frosh said as everyone turned to see Rogue trying to jump out the window as the train started moving.
"Help me" he screamed as the train rode away
"aww shit"
Magnolia pride
Today is a special day for Magnolia as for the first time since the disappearance of fairy tail, and the three children are celebrating the harvest festival alongside the famed cherry blossom festival, a special time of year as our heroes wanted to make up for all the years that the town has missed. it's a special time as everyone comes together in order not only to celebrate their return and their victory at the grand magic games but there friendships as well.
"Alright, so how are we looking at for the fantasia parade," Mira asked as the doors opened as the members of Sabertooth walked through.
"Hey everyone," Sting, Lector, and Yukino cried
"oh, welcome home," Mira said "how have you been"
"we've been doing great," Yukino said
"I ended up riding that damn train twice," Rogue shouted
"Hey, Mira," Cana's voice called, as he walked up to her with Gray in toe "we need two more wizards for the fantasia parade," she called "oh hey Yukino," she said, "wait, a sec, you here for the fantasia parade," she asked. Yukino nodded "great," she smiled "what do you say you join us for the parade."
"yeah, that would be good too" Gray smiled "she did grow up in Magnolia, so I bet she's thought about it a least once"
"wait, I can participate," Yukino asked.
"well, I don't see why not," Mira said, "we do need the extra hands." Mira said, "many wizards have either joined up with a guild or are just too far to make the trip home in time" Mira sighed "though we're still one person short."
"maybe we could use another spirit," Gray said
"Umm," Sting rose his hand
"yeah," Cana said, "we can make it work, though"
"Hey, I'm right here," Sting shouted
"Yeah, don't worry, we'll find a way," Mira said, no longer able to hide her laugh.
"an uneven number is still a good number," Gray said, laughing like Mira.
"you guys are the worse," Sting sighed.
"oh come, man," Cana said, "you know you missed this place." Sting turned away as a small smile formed on his face "good thing the two of you showed up," she smiled, "and don't worry about the motion sickness," she said, "we'll put you on. Natsu and Wendy's float."
"speaking of which," Sting asked, "where is Natsu." he asked, "figured he'd be here."
"oh, that's right," Mira said. "Natsu and Erza oversee the tournament preparations," Mira told him. "Lucy is helping them as well."
"tournament," Ogra asked, "now we're talking."
"yes, we're calling it the battle of Fairy tail," Mira said, "We came up with the idea after the last Harvest festival" Mira stopped, "we decided that it could be a fun thing" she didn't want to bring up the thunder legions return. The events that transpired that year, though, she had to admit it was a harvest festival to remember that much was true "so we diced to have an official one this time around," she added, "the idea came from Laxus."
"Yeah, I can't imagine why," Cana said sarcastically.
"let it go, Cana," Mira told her "if you guys want to take part, you should go sign up," Mira said, "though don't get your hopes on fighting Natsu again, Sting," Mira told him. "Mavis isn't allowing us to partake," she told them, which caused Sign to deflate "also, he's the one running the tournament so it wouldn't be fair, but the winner will get a chance to fight Laxus, though" she laughed.
"you're not clever at all, Mira," Gray said
"oh, it's all in good fun," Mira said "there was no other reason than that," Mira laughed "besides, I have to give the winner some prize, and Laxus volunteered to do it," she admitted "something about needed in a workout."
"I've been looking for a rematch against him," Ogra said
"then I guess you're joining," Mira said, "you should stop by the center of town that where we're setting up for the tournament," she smiled, "and be sure just to check out what we have going on today" she smiled "and have a great harvest festival" she smiled
"yeah, while fairy tail handles, that dragon tail is helping out with the fantasia parade," Cana said
"wow, you reformed that team," Yukino asked
"yeah," Cana said, "me, Kinana, Elfman, and Laki," she laughed "quite the line up if you ask me," Cana said, "come on, I'll give you and Sting the rundown on what to expect tonight."
in the center of town, we find Natsu and Lucy moving around objects to make a clear space to hist the event that they have planned for today which is called the battle of fairy tail "hey Freed, how are the runes coming" Natsu asked
"they're coming along well," Freed said "setting up the rules for this is going to be easy," he smiled, "yes, I think this will all come along nicely."
"Alright," Natsu said as he turned to his partner, "Lucy, how are things over there."
"Yeah, everything is great over her Natsu," Lucy said. as she turned, she was greeted by a familiar face "princess," Lucy asked
"oh, Lucy, there you are," Hisui said "a pleasure to meet you," she said
"Hey Lucy, how ya been."
"oh, we've been great," Lucy said "were your pumpkin head," Lucy asked with a teasing grin.
"his majesty let her off early," Cosmos said, "though I told her she should have worn it."
"that's not the matter. We came here," Hisui said. "I came to confirm that you destroyed the eclipse gate," Hisui asked.
"Forgive my forwardness, princess," Lucy said, "but I dropped the equivalent of a star on it" Lucy laughed, "it's gone." she laughed, "I told you already what happened wasn't your fault," she told her "it happens what matters is that you learn from it" she smiled "come on I know that not the real reason you came all the way out here."
Hisui let out a defeated sigh "your right," she said, a blush appeared on her face "in that case might I ask what's going on," Hisui asked. "I have heard of your town's harvest. festival, but I' have personally never seen it."
"well, you could always stay and find out," Lucy said. "I'm surprised you traveled all the way here."
"Yeah, that was me," Cosmos said, "I said I was heading over and Arcadios and her majesty wanted to come with," she sighed, "so now I'm guarding detail."
"you say that like this bad thing," Arcadius said
"it not," Cosmo said, "just not what I expected" she smiled "of course, we're in the safest city on the planet, though," she laughed.
"that is true," Arcadios, "and I hear that you are hosting a tournament," Arcades said, "it looks like it will be an interesting spectacle."
"yes," Lucy said, "it was Natsu and Laxus' idea after" Lucy stopped, "well, let's just say we wanted to spice things up a bit." she laughed, "in any case, are you going to stay princess."
"I guess we can spare the time," Arcadios said, "though its best if we remain spectators" he then looked at Cosmos.
"I didn't want to participate," Cosmos said
"oh, you two," Hisui laughed, "get along," she laughed as Lucy stood next to her. "I do look forward to seeing all the festivities," Hisui said
"well, be sure to have fin Lucy said, "the town is open, and the harvest festival has begun, so have a ball," Lucy said. "I'll be around, working most likely, but I'll be around."
"you'd think you guys would have this time off" Cosmos asked
"We do," Lucy said, "but there are some extra things we needed to set up," Lucy told her "we have to make sure the streets are clean, and well, it is going to be a long day."
"need any help," Cosmos asked to which Lucy waved her hand
"naw," she gestured to where Loke and Virgo were helping around as well, "we got enough hands-on deck right now" she smiled at her friend "go enjoy the harvest festival; we'll make an announcement. When the party gets started."
"as you say," Cosmo said as she followed the princess off to enjoy the festivities of the harvest festival. Seeing this, Lucy smiled as she turned back. She was glad that princess Hisui was letting her mistake with the eclipse gate not bring her down. She sighed as he turned to see Natsu and Erza talking about something shaking her head. She went to get back to work. It was going to be a long one.
"you think that this will go well," Natsu asked.
"of course, it will," Erza told him, "with Freed enchantment, the contestant will be able to go out without fear of hurting anyone" she smiled "this is a great idea, don't get me wrong, I just hate how it came about"
"eh, all in the past," Natsu said, "that was about what seven years ago," Natsu laughed, "let's just leave it there." he laughed "if anything, it gave a great idea. For this."
"your right," Erza said "though how did you convince Mavis to do this" Erza asked, "she seems to be just going along with it."
"oh, we placed a bet," Natsu said, "and Mira and I won"
"you mean you placed a bet with Mavis," Erza asked, "and you were able to outsmart her," she said in complete disbelief "might I ask what it was"
"yeah," Natsu said, "we had an eat-off."
"How did you get her to agree with that" Erza asked, "you and I both know that she can't eat."
"yeah, but she said anything we want," Natsu said "her arrogance and overconfidence was her undoing," Natsu laughed. "I asked her three times," Natsu said, "she was feeling sure of herself" Natsu laughed.
"well, she does seem like the graceful loser," Erza said
"naw, she somehow turned it into a learning experience," Natsu muttered
"that sounds like her," Erza laughed "she can turn any experience into a chance to learn something," Erza smiled, "it's almost admirable."
"Almost," Natsu laughed. "then she gets this smug grin like she's the one playing you," Natsu muttered. This got a laugh out of Erza, "but don't worry me, and Mira got something planned for later that will throw even the famed fairy tactician off her horse" he then let out an evil laugh.
"Natsu is really getting into this," Erza muttered
"Aye," Happy said, "he and Mira always get like this when they get competitive with Mavis," Happy explained, "though this time I can tell they went in prepared, which is probably why she's letting them do it."
"that might have been her mistake," Erza joked
"Aye," Happy said
[## the truth of the grand magic games##]
"Welcome to the battle of fairy tail," Happy called as Lily and Carla sat in an announcer booth. "I'm your host, Happy, and here with me is my great pals Panther Lily," he said as he gestured to his friend.
"nice to be here," Lily said, "today is a great day," Lily said, "a great day for some friendly competition and some fun in the sun."
"Aye, sir," Happy said
"aren't you forgetting someone," Carla asked
"I was getting there, Carla." Happy said, "and of course, we have Carla, who already introduced herself."
"what does that mean" Carla shouted as the crowd laughed as Erza went the field "it looks like the second daughter is getting ready to introduce herself to the audience."
"Hello," Erza called "welcome to the battle of fairy tail, everyone," she said as the crowd went silent "unlike the grand magic games, this is a simple battle tournament," she said, "fighters have ten minutes to battel it out the victor will move on to the next round." she said "this entire area is blocked with an enchantment," Erza said, "no magic spells will be allowed to go outside nor will they be allowed to go inside."
"Hi Erzy," a voice called Erza turned to give a quick smile
"But first we have a special guest," Erza said, "the princess of Fiore herself, Hisui E. Fiore," she said, gesturing to the girl who tried to hide her face in embarrassment as Cosmos and Arcadios smiled at her
"This was your idea, wasn't it, Arcadios," Hisui asked
"it was Cosmos," he said as the girl let out a whistle
"with that let us get to our first match," Erza called. "Happy, will you take it away."
"oh, this seems so fun," Michelle said. "I just want to keep eating, and eating's he said
"don't go, dragon slayer, on me."
"Aye ma'am," Happy called, "up first we have the unstoppable wall of iron, the blacksteel of Magnolia himself, Gajeel." Happy cried, "He may be new in town, but you probably saw him at the grand magic games, the raging bolt himself Ogra."
"Sorry little man," Ogra said, "but I gotta get to Laxus for my rematch."
"Who are you," Gajeel asked
"oh, come on," Ogra shouted
"now," Erza screamed, slamming her sword into the ground, "begin."
"Sorry, Iron dragon," Ogra said, "but I gotta get "he was interrupted when he was slammed into the ground creating a large shockwave as everyone looked in shock as Ogra passed out; a smug look grew on Rogue's face as Gajeel towered over Ogra now in his Iron shadow dragon mode.
"I remember you now," Gajeel muttered "didn't you fight on the first day of the games" he smiled "if I remember right, that fight ended with one blow as well."
"and look like Gajeel is not playing around," Happy said
"I'm not surprised," Lily said, "in a fight, you should never take your eyes off your opponent, not even for a moment."
"well, that was something," Erza said as Gajeel returned to normal, walking away "well, anyway, let's continue the day," she said as the next fighters went to the stand. Wendy appeared in a nurse costume and loaded Ogra on the cart.
"not even one match in and already a knockout," she shook her head. "Have a great festival, everyone," she called.
"I am so holding this over his head," Rogue said
"same," Sting muttered
"We have so many good fighters here today," Happy said
"bout time I got some payback," Macao said
"I just let you win, old man," Wakaba said
"Sorry about that, Laki, but there is a chance freed getting in this," she said as she jumped over the girl "and I need a rematch," she shouted "{Reversed lighting}" she screamed, bringing Laki down as she landed on the ground the next match was over pretty quickly between Cana and Macao with Cana using bikini babe cards Gajeel did well for himself as well typically taking out all his opponents in one or two blows.
"a real man can take damage," Elfman shouted as he caught Gajeel's leg "you know, if I recall, you and I meet this way."
"Yeah, I remember that," Gajeel said, "this time, Salamander ain't going to bud in." he smiled as they clashed as Elfman did a full body takeover, trying to hit Gajeel as he jumped dup
"Elfman can take a hit," Carla muttered "his fight with Bacchus proved that"
"that's cause he's a real man," Happy screamed.
"fine then," Gajeel said, "take this {Iron dragon: Hard fist}" he screamed, sending Elfman to the ground, claiming his victory.
"man, which was a manly attack," he said
"you weren't too bad that time" Gajeel laughed
"man, I thought I had you that time" would be Cana's response when she lost to Freed again though Freed had to admit the girl gave him quite the challenge as she stood up, hitting him in the shoulder. The fights would go on for the rest of the day, each ended in one or two hits, but each fighter could get an even match until it all came down to one final fight.
"Alright, here we are," Happy said, "the final showdown between two titans" Happy said
"Gajeel and Laxus," Lily said, "didn't see this one coming"
"Alright, time for the rematch I've been looking for," he said as Laxus entered the stage."
"food luck, boy," Makarov said, "try not to do too much damage" he laughed
"This is so cool," Jason screamed "it been too long, Magnolia," he shouted as the crowd all started to gather around
"I figured you get this far, metalhead," Laxus said "well, you or Kagura," he laughed,
"just watch. I'm going all the way." he laughed

"Laxus is cool and collected as usual," Happy said, "will he be able to stand up to Gajeel's new strength."
"This is two warriors going head-to-head," Lily said
"Alright, we need a good clean fight," Erza said "remember that this is not a battle of skill to whoever the victor,
"so, you ready to do this," Laux said. "I plan on going all out," he said
"good," Gajeel said as the pair released their magic power. The air went silent as they faced off as Gajeel rushed, ready to get this fight started, only to be slammed into the ground with a large explosion creating a shockwave
"look like Laxus is the undefeated champ of the battel of fairy tail" Happy shouted "TKO."
"what" Lily screamed. "I call for a rematch."
"Please calm down," Carla said
"man, that was anti-climactic," Natsu muttered
"you're telling me," Mira said as she stood up "well, that fight ended quicker than we thought it would, folks" Mira laughed "sorry about that," she said, "but be sure to stop by the pub later tonight for the finale of festivities and be sure to check on the fantasia parade," she said as the crowd cheered.
"wait," Mavis asked, walking up to them, "what are you two planning."
"of don't worry, master," Mira said
"you'll see soon enough," Natsu said
