A Fairy tail re-told Chapter 205: From now on, a fairy tail fanfic

Hey fairy tail fans, and welcome back to a fairy tail re-told as I said in the last chapter, this is a special one, as you know, way back in like chapter seventy-three, if I remember correctly, and I've gotten a few requests to something like that again, and well here we are this was an alternative ending song for the eclipse gate arc but coming home fit a little better anyway this takes place in the same time frame of the last chapter so anyway I hope you enjoy it.

"SO if we can beat you at anything," Natsu asked, "we can do anything we want during the harvest festival" the question came on the topic of going tournament type thing in a similar vein to what Laxus had pulled years prior, of course, Mavis had her opposition to it seeing as at that time almost tore Magnolia apart, but Natsu had been persistent, and Well, she couldn't say no to her kids. She should work on that.

"yes," Mavis said with an air of arrogance, "if the both of you can beat me at anything," she said, "I will allow you to do whatever you want at the harvest festival."

"anything" Natsu asked

"yes," Mavis said

"Anything we want," Mira said "no objections," Mira asked

"of course," Mavis said, "I am a woman of my word."

"eating contest," Natsu and Mira said with devious grins on their faces

"clever," Mavis said with a look of anger on her face, "very clever."

"We learned from the best" Natsu and Mira

The fantasia parade had been a hit. It felt like more of a returning party. Every wizard and member of fairy tail was seen participating parade doing all their best tricks and giving the crowd a good show. Once the parade ended, everyone started to gather at the fairy pub in order to see what special thing Mira had told them about after the tournament, so an as large crowd of wizards began to fill in the establishment.

"I wonder what this all about," Lucy said

"yeah," Wendy said, "it's a little odd."

"Have you seen Natsu and Mira?" Gray said, "We could just always just ask them" he looked to Erza "or do you know."

"Actually, no," Erza said, "when I asked, they just told me to wait in see" Erza was interrupted when the lights went out.

"Yeah, the girl of the hour," Macao called as Mira appeared on the stage.

"hey Magnolia," Mira called "are you ready to rock" she screamed as the crowd cheered "with me today is a special guest," Mira said as everyone looked around "you know him, love him," she said "he's your chosen son and my adorable little brother," she said "Natsu," she said as Natsu waved to the crowd as everyone doubled over in shock then again when Elfman appeared with a piano in tow.

"since when could Natsu sing," Lucy said as Wendy let out a whistle as she looked at the girl "you knew, didn't you."?

"maybe," Wendy said

"How could you," Gajeel said

"Natsu told me to keep it between us," Wendy cried "he used to sing me lullabies," she admitted the group wanted to be mad at her. They did, really, but they couldn't cause the image of Natsu singing to a younger Wendy was too cute not to gush over.

"Elfman can play the piano," Evergreen screamed

"yeah," Laxus said, "I thought you knew that"

"he even taught me," Wendy said

"Hey everyone," Natsu said, "so we have a special song for you all tonight, but before we get started, we need to welcome one more guest" he shot a look to Mavis, who looked up in shock. She was sitting with Cosmos, Makarov, and Yajima. "come on master, you know the deal"

"you brats," Mavis screamed, a slight blush forming on her face, "no way."

"yeah, Mavis," the crowd screamed.

"I am going to get you for this," Mavis said as they all gave her. their best innocent child look that they all knew she would gush over later because she loved them too much. "I thought you were joking when you handed me that"

"no, we weren't," Natsu said, "and big thanks to Gajeel, who helped us write this one."

"you're welcome, you asshole," Gajeel shouted.

"now, master," Natsu smiled. "Do you mind" Elfman started to play the piano as Mavis sighed? She couldn't lie; she created these monsters.

"fine, you win," she said, "but only the start," she said with a smile on her face.

I saw the sun begin to dim

And felt that winter wind blow cold

When the glitter fades, and the walls won't hold

the whole place had gone silent as Mavis started the first verse. While she was no singer, she was able to pass it along. Everyone leaned over as they listened to Mavis sing. They were more shocked at what they heard and, in curiosity, almost like this was punishment. As she finished, Natsu started to sing with her as the crowd gave a small cheer

Can only be what's true

If all was lost

Mavis stopped as Mira and started to sing as well. The whole place cheered as Natsu, and Mira began to sing with e total effort as they could as their friends started to get in on the song.

"never would have imagined," Lucy muttered.

"they're pretty good." Gray said, "yeah, this is nice."

"Yeah, you go, Mira and Natsu."

the entire place began to get into the mood as Natsu and Mira began to sing this song which for their friends showed their faith in them, showing them that this one their path and no matter what they would be here, this song was telling this song was their new vow not only to the wizards in this pub but to the people of Magnolia, their people the people they were sworn to protect the people who they would make sure no matter what time no matter who held the mantle of child do Magnolia from now till the end of time these people would have a place they could call home

I drank champagne with kings and queens

The politicians praised my name

But those are someone else's dreams

The pitfalls of the man I became

The crazy speed of always needing more

I remember who all this was for

everyone cheered as tears started to come to the faces of the wizards who weren't trapped on Tenrou Island as Natsu and Mira sang, and they felt as if they were speaking to them. Seven years of fear had finally come to an end. Seven years of pain had finally ended for them, and you know what? It was all okay now because, in the end, they got back home.

"yeah, Natsu and Mira," Laki screamed.

"We love you," Bisca shouted with Alzack as they cried

Natsu smiled, thinking of his past, the time he almost threw all of this away for a guild. That was where his heart in this song came from, his vow never to do that again, his vow to become a better person to become what a friend should be to protect them. He looked at his teammates and family smiling at them as he and his sister continued their song.

Mira smiled at them. Her vow was different. Her takeover was a sign of despair for her and her failure to protect her sister. She knew now that she would never fail again. She would defend everyone here until her final breath. She smiled as she looked at her family, motioning for them to come to the stage.

"Hey everyone," Nab called as he walked in smiling and started to hear the song "man, I almost missed it," he screamed as Laki tacked him with a hug.

"it's been too long, nab," she cried as she hugged him

"Feels good to be home" he smiled

"Okay, guy, let us get a picture in," Cana screamed as everyone gathered around her. She looked over to Sting, a smile coming to her face as he looked away. "Hey Sting," she called, "you getting in this or what" she called as everyone waved to him as she smiled.

"you bet," he shouted "come on, Lector," he cried

"oh yeah," Lector shouted

"you kids are something else," Riana said, coming up to Mavis "you must be very proud."

Mavis sighed as she slowly made her way to the back, embarrassment clear on her face as she sighed, looking back at Natsu and Mira, who were still singing with Wendy, Gray, Lucy, and Erza. As the crowd cheered for them, a smile found its way to her face.

"Yeah, I am."

'After seven years, I finally felt a peace I hadn't known that I was missing when I was standing. My brother was on one side, and my friends were in front of me. I realized just how much I missed this place and just how much time I had lost, but I also realized why it didn't matter that we would always be together; my family would always be with me. They would never truly leave, and I would never truly leave them. This job, this life was full of risk, so we should enjoy the small moments with each other as we continue our eternal adventure. This is my last entry, not because I'm about to die, but because there is no reason to continue it because from now on, we are going to keep looking forward cause that is the people we are, and at this point, what could stop us now.'
