Natsu: so now we got bad guys chasing us
Erza: who could they be
Natsu: I don't know, but we need to be on guard from now on if they're after Éclair
Erza: right
"come forth, my starving claws," Chase said, "and feed," he shouted as he rushed him as they clashed. Natsu jumped out of the way of his strikes as he jumped back, going up the side of a building.
"up we go," Gray shouted as he and Natsu jumped up the side of the building. As they reached the top, they saw Chase standing there, his cape blowing in the wind "you're going to wish you kept running," Gray shouted as Chase remained unfazed. He glared at them, a look of familiarity coming over him.
"Until we meet again," he said as he turned into a shadow, "fairy tail" as he completely vanished as Natsu and Gray ran to where he was
'who was that' both asked as they looked into the night sky
"did this trigger any memory for you," Lucy asked. She had since gotten down, looking at Éclair to see if she was okay "do you know why this person could be after you." she asked as Éclair shook her head, looking to the ground as Lucy sighed "it's okay," she said as Natsu and Gray ran back to them
"Is everything okay here," Natsu asked
"who was that," Gray asked?
"I don't know," Lucy said, standing up, "but they're after Éclair; we have to do something" she stopped when she noticed Natsu and Gray's red faces "what's wrong," she asked as they froze where they stood "is something wrong," Lucy asked.
"you feel a breeze," Happy asked, coming next to her "oh la la," he teased as Lucy looked down, noticing that she had never gotten dressed, and the towel had fallen off. Letting out a scream, she bent down, covering herself.
"your freaky stripping habit isn't contagious, right," Natsu asked
"if it is," Gray muttered, "I can think of worse things."
"look away, perverts," Lucy screamed
Phoenix Priestess arc: The Phoenix stones
The dream
it was a late night. The stars had aligned as a woman with a bird helmet over her head danced in front of a statue with a bird on it. The town came together as they watched her perform. Behind her stood the village chief holding his arms up, the sounds of their fence drowned up by the changing as the women came to a stop behind them, a man screamed as a sword came from behind him soldiers ran in, killing everyone in sight the women backed up in horror as the chief grabbed her hands running away.
"take this stone," the chief had said "take it to the boundary forest, see that it reaches the wizard Kalard," he groaned. "please, Éclair."
"with this blood, you will last forevermore."
End dream
"I think this is what my purser was after," Éclair said as she pulled out the phoenix stone.
"he wanted that stone," Lucy asked.
"I do sense a peculiar power coming from it," Carla said, "ancient almost."
"this Kalard, the name is unfamiliar to me," Erza said
"so, what the deal with the stones," Natsu asked
"she told me she has no memory of how she got it," Momon said "all she known is that it important to her" he frowned, remembering their encounter with the wolves so long ago and how Éclair was ready to throw her life away for the stone. It was a time he didn't like to remember. She seemed so cold and distant from everything.
"My past is blank like an untouched canvas," Éclair muttered, "nothing to remind me of who I was and where I came from" she looked to the ground, "but lately, the pictures are starting to fill in, and this stone is the key" she looked kat it one more time "the key to learning who I am."
"so, we gotta find him and ask," Natsu said
"you wouldn't happen to know where we could find this Kalard," Happy asked Éclair, looking over before shaking her head.
"then I guess we start with the boundary forest," Erza said, "if Éclair was heading there, then there might be a clue to who this Kalard is and what they can do."
"you're going to help me," Éclair asked.
"of course," Lucy said "we've come this far, haven't we," she said
"I," Éclair stopped looking away once again. That small part of her brain told her to tell them, no, to tell them to go away. That magic is the source of all this, but then there was that other part that was starting to appreciate these wizards that were beginning to wish that they would stay with her that wanted them to be with her. She looked at Momon before a smile broke out on her face "thank you," she whispered.
"come on," Lucy said, "let's try to get some sleep."
"you can stay with Wendy and me tonight," Erza said "if something happens, we can protect each other"
Chase landed on the ground as he walked up to Dyst. "I'm sorry," he said, "but I failed," he admitted, "the person we are after was with wizards."
"Really Dyst asked "might we know who"
"The rogue wizard group that is known as Fairy tail," he said
"I see," Dyst noted, "the winners of the grand magic games" he laughed "what a unique opportunity; I was hoping to face them one day" he smiled "if our goals are to be met, we must remove them," he said, "we need to track them down."
"I understand," Chase said "also, the women who are after," he asked, "you seem to know her."
"it not important," Dyst said as he remembered that day, the day he learned of his own mortality "we must complete the mission" he smiled as he turned "figure out where fairy tail is heading," he said, "and we can intercept them Chase nodded before vanishing into a shadow leaving Dyst to his own thoughts as he looked into the distance that day coming back to his mind once again.
Flashback
"my ferret, garnet," Dyst cried "my ferret died," he said "please can you help him," he asked, "please can you bring him back from the dead."
"Sorry, but" Éclair cringed. Her mind started to hurt as she shook her head, "but I'm not a wizard," she told him as he backed up "even so, there is not a magic alive that could bring your friend back to life," she said "I'm sorry" she smiled "I'm sure Garnet was glad to be loved by you."
"I'm going to die one day too," Dyst asked, "just like Garnet." tears appeared on his face as Éclair nodded her head.
"that is why we must live our lives to the fullest," Éclair admitted, "so we have no regrets when we meet our end.
"No," the boy shouted. "I want to live forever and ever," he screamed as he ran away, going through the streets as he came to a stop. tears on hi SF ace as he looked at his dead friend 'I'm sorry garnet' he whispered "I'm so sorry Garnet"
"Please, I have to find a way to bring my ferret back to life," Dyst screamed as his parents took his ferret.
"Sorry," his mother said
"I'm sure Garnet was glad to be loved by you," his father told him
"No" Dyst screamed as his father grabbed him "we were supposed to be together forever," he screamed
"son, that is a part of life," his father said, "which is why we have to live life to the fullest," he smiled

"no, I will live forever," he screamed as the area moved around him, his eyes turning red as his parents back up in shock. As the gates began to bend around him as he screamed. "I don't want to die," he shouted. "I want to live forever, so I can be here forever, wants the point of living if you have to die," he called.
"What is that"
"it's magic."
"what type of magic is this"
"this power"
"no," Dyst muttered. "I will live forever," he screamed as he forced them both into a wall. He let out huffs of air before he let out another scram destroying the entire house in the process as his parents died "mom, dad," he said with tears in his eyes as he fell to the ground 'I promise you' he looked around 'I promise that I will find a way to live forever' Dyst then let out a blood curdling screamed as the area was reduced to a flat surface.
End Flashback
Dyst smiled as he looked into the distance 'soon, I will have the opportunity to have my goals realized," he thought to himself. "I will live."
"Forevermore"
"Have you gained anything?" Makarov asked as he approached Mavis. They were still at the council chambers. As the council debated what they should do, he wondered if Mavis had anything to report
"our spy has gained a few leads," Mavis said "they're going to report in once they get back," Mavis said. She let out a sigh "what could this mean, a power that could rival Zeref."
"nothing we should worry about," Makarov said as he let out a sigh "it's for the best that we just wait and see," he told her as they looked into the distance, "also I wanted to ask how have things been since you told Natsu and Mira the truth."
"things have been," Mavis looked away "things have been tense, but slowly we're getting back to normal" she let out a sigh "after everything that happened on Tenrou Island, I felt it was time," she said
"you worry too much," Makarov said, "while I'm glad you told them. You of all people should know that they love you as if you are their own mother" Makarov smiled "this was the truth that they would have to learn in time," he sighed "while it may be hard, they will learn. To accept it."
"I hope you are right," Mavis said
"Master Makarov," Cosmo said, coming around the corner, "there you are," she smiled "the wizard saints have been gathered," she said, "even the Ishgar four is present. Though they are thought projects, things are getting tense right now."
"yes," Makarov said as he turned to his old master, "I take it once he arrives."
"yes," Mavis said, "heading back to magnolia, and I will gather my fairy tail just in case" she stopped when a messenger pigeon arrived, landing on her shoulder as he placed a letter in her hand "what this," she said as she touched the letter."
"Hello, master," Mira said as she appeared on the card. "I just wanted to send you an update from back home," Mira said. "Natsu and Erza just sent us a message about a thing called the phoenix stone," she said, "and they wanted to know if you had any info about it," she explained, "right now they're with the client in question, but they should be back before you return."
"the phoenix stone," Cosmos asked.
"I have no idea," Mavis said, "but does it have to do with this odd power the magic council has been sensing," she said 'my children, please be careful; I will be home soon."
Everyone let out loud screams as they ran through the boundary forest, several monsters chasing them. Natsu let out an attack, sending one back. Another monster appeared as Gray landed on the ground, freezing it as they let out a sigh, only for another monster to appear again. Wendy roared at it, sending it into the sky as Erza sliced down another monster as it ran away from the group. Lucy and Éclair fell down "you didn't do much protecting," Éclair muttered.
"well," Lucy started.
"I need a fish," Happy said as a giant fish monster jumped from the water next to them. "yummy," Happy screamed.
"you're not serious," Carla screamed at him.
"{open gate of the water bearer: Aquarius}" Lucy screamed
"hey ugly, chew on this," Aquarius shouted as she turned to Lucy with an angry look in her eye "listen here, girly," Aquarius called, "you've pulled me out of a lot of dank holes before, but this one takes the cake" she screamed
"Lucy, you okay," Natsu asked as he ran to his partner.
"peachy," Lucy muttered.
"do that again," Aquarius growled, "and you'll regret it," she said as she vanished as Lucy sighed.
"every time," Lucy muttered as she and her friends walked through the forest, the number of monsters started to disappear. It finally allowed her to take in the place of the boundary forest it was a beautiful place with large trees, trunks trees as far as the eye could see if this place wasn't filled to the brim with monsters, she could see this being a very popular tourist spot then again maybe all the monsters here kept it that way less human interaction or whatever the hell Porlyusica goes on about when they visit her in the woods she smiled as Natsu and Éclair went to the top of a mountain trying to get a good look as they came down "you see anything."
"I think I saw something in the distance," Natsu said, "can't really smell anything."
"why not," Erza asked.
"all the monster droppings," Wendy said, "messes with the nose," she said as they walked forward, coming across a red barrier.
"someone set a monster deterrent," Erza muttered, "although not recently, it would seem."
"then we must be getting close," Gray said as they came to what looked like ruins; only half of the structure and a fireplace remain intact. Greenery is also present on the walls and on the floor. as the door started to move
"he lives here," Natsu asked.
"there's a great wizard in this place," Lucy asked as Éclair ran into the ruins looking around as everyone followed.
"This place is super old," Happy muttered as Éclair found a set of stairs going down them. She looked around as everyone followed her coming to what they assumed was a basement which they all agreed was Kalard's workshop. It had several arches in the ceiling. The right wall had windows that allowed light to seep through. Beside the staircase is a shelf that contains many books and a desk with a pile of books. In the middle of the room is a table with books, a pot, a jar, and a mortar and pestle. A giant machine similar to an Alembic rests in a corner and is surrounded by large roots.
"This looks more like the home of a wizard," Erza muttered
"did you something' Lucy asked as Éclair looked at a ruined photo, she could see what appeared to be the body of a man and a woman; however, in the center was a girl that looked like a younger version of her she reached out placing her hand on it

"it's me," Éclair whispered, "a picture of me when I was a small child" underneath her, a small lacrmia started to glow.
"get back," Natsu said as it began to take shape.
"Éclair," a voice called an elderly man, his face wrinkled and thin with age. He has gray hair and is bald on top of his head. He wears oval-rimmed glasses. he smiled as he looked at Éclair. "Éclair, if these words are reaching your ears, child, then what I was told was true," he smiled, "many people came here searching for you, survivors of fire village" he looked away. "I was told of the terrible event that transpired there; I was overjoyed when I heard you had survived, btu when I think of your fate" he then let out a small cough "oh, my sweet Éclair" he then reached out a hand almost as if he was trying to touch her "the people of fire village needed you to be their maiden, and I was given the task of dispelling the phoenix stones."
"dispel magic," Éclair muttered, "nullification."
"There is no doubt in my mind that you are a spectacular maiden," Kalard said. "I have finally completed my dispel magic," he said, "but I fear that I will not have the chance to use it" he then let out another slight cough. "I have fallen ill; I will hold on to my life for as long as possible," he sighed, "but if you see this, my sweet Éclair."
"he's already gone," Wendy whispered as a sad look grew on Carla's face "we're too late."
"my darling Éclair, my sweet and beloved daughter," he said as a look of shock grew on her face.
"father," Éclair whispered. "I'm here," she said as she reached out. only for the Lacrima to break as Éclair fell to her knees
"I finally came home."
