Makarov sighed as he walked through the halls of the chamber. It was a dark time, as the council argued. He and Mavis were on a mission as they headed to the council stored weapon chamber. where they held many dark relics here, all of which had been lost to time, such as the weapon he and Mavis were looking for. 'I hope those kids are alright,' he thought to himself as he and Mavis started to move forward as they came to a room where Riana, Mira, and Laxus were waiting for them.
"Are you sure about this" Laxus asked?
"it may very well be the only way," Mavis said "did you kids grab what I ask.
"yeah," Laxus said, "it wasn't easy to get there and here on such short notice," he sighed, "but if you say, ma'am."
"thank you again, Laxus," Mavis said. "Riana, are you sure it's here."
"yes," Riana said, "Stored away. Its use is still unknown, but if what you are telling me is true," Mavis nodded to her as she turned.
"Master Makarov, Master Riana," one of the workers called, "what is the meaning of this." he shouted, "when you told me you were going into the vault, I didn't" he was stopped when Riana pulled her sword on his face.
"now, you will keep this quiet for the time being," she glared as she sighed as the door opened. A bright light shined over them as they saw the case, the magic council symbol glowing as Riana made a magic circle "this weapon so long ago was entrusted to my family, and thus entrusted to the magic council," she sighed, "a part of me thought I would never see its use."
"man, this is a bright light," Zera muttered as she looked at Mavis "it's good to see you, old friend," she as she vanished again as Mavis walked forward, "we don't have much time."
"the council not going to like that was going behind their backs like this master," Mira said
"The council be damned."
Phoenix Priestess arc: An Arrow to light the heavens
"oh, mighty phoenix," Dyst screamed as the now reunited stones started to crack and grow "grant me with the blood that will grant me life eternal," he shouted as the castle fell to the ground as the stone started to Grow outward from the stone, taking the form of a massive, metallic, avian monstrosity. its small head moves as its long arm structure along coming together as it lets outcries as Dyst backed up in horror "what is this" he asked "that's no firebird," he said as the phoenix roared as the ground shattered underneath as people started to run away in fear as it let out massive fireballs firing it at a mountain destroying it instantly
"that power," Gray muttered.
Lucy pushed through the crowd at the castle's base as the guards started running away. fearing what the phoenix was about to do, and at the time, they were trying to protect the people, all of which were starting to panic as the creature began to let out its cries firing off more massive fireballs, destroying more of the area "Éclair," Lucy screamed as she moved through the crowd, she saw her standing up and falling to the ground "she's alive," she called as Natsu, and Happy ran up to her "are you okay," she asked
"is Momon here," Éclair asked.
"he flew into the fire to save you," Happy told her with tears on his face. "I'm sorry" a piece of rubble fell as the phoenix moved. Natsu moved to catch it.
"Lucy," Natsu called, "you need to get Éclair somewhere safe," he told her, "alright."
"nowhere is safe," Éclair screamed, "so long as the phoenix lives, everyone we love will die."
"I understand" Natsu smiled as he started to eat the fire surrounding them. "Happy you ready."
"Aye, sir," his best friend called as they flew off.
Éclair frowned as they flew off that Dyst boy maybe so long ago. Had she not been cold, he wouldn't be on this path. She sighed as Lucy helped her away from the battlefield. A part of her wondered had he ever gotten over the death of his pet ferret. Is he still looking for a way to live forever? Why hadn't he given up on this dream? Doesn't he know the pain and misery that will come from living forever, or has he been lost "to be granted life eternal"? Her mind went back to the chief that the village gave her for her to survive after the first attack of Veronica." the blood of phoenix," Éclair thought to herself.
"are the tears its sheds when it is sealed away."
Dyst continued his quest. He attacked the phoenix with little to no avail "mighty phoenix, grant me the blood that will give me life eternal. " he screamed, "your blood and mine," he shouted again as he activated his magic which barely affected the phoenix. He would not stop, not when he was so close to his dream immortality would be his no matter what after everything he went through, all the tears that were shed 'mother, father' shaking the thoughts from his head as he attacked again "damn you. creature I will make you bleed if it's the last thing I do" he screamed.
"Stop right there," Natsu screamed as he punched Dyst away "are you doing this so more people can die!" he shouted.
"don't get in my way, Salamander," Dyst screamed. "I will realize my dream of immortality" on the tower. Cream watched in horror as the phoenix moved to destroy his city. As people ran away in fear as the phoenix stumbled along, the sounds of people in fear were enough as the phoenix broke through the building destroying everything in sight.
"everything. going to be okay," a guard said, "we need someone to deal with this," he screamed as a carbuncle wizard ran by "aren't you supposed to be wizards to deal with this."
"we'll take care of it for you," Gray said
"Who are you," he asked
"we're fairy tail," Lily and Carla told him as Juvia and Gajeel, and Wendy appeared. No matter what, they were finishing their mission and stopping the phoenix no matter the cost
Lucy smiled as she placed a cloth over Éclair. As she cleaned up most of her injuries, "don't worry, Éclair, once we find Wendy, we can get here to heal you."
"that not necessary," Éclair said. "I remember everything now," she said as Lucy stopped. "Veronica was built on the ruins of fire village, where I grew up" she smiled. "I was there when we lost everything, and that night, I was granted life eternal." Lucy looked down, a look of shock coming over her face as Éclair smiled "it's because of that night that I have lived,"
"forevermore."
Flashback
"We have paid the wretched toll of many lost lives, but the phoenix has been sealed away; the twin phoenix stones are a testament to this act, and it's because of them we can have true peace," he screamed as people started to dance as Éclair started her dance the people applauded as Éclair did her dance as the stone was separated being placed in two separated statues as the village chief smiled as people began to dance then it happened the guard came up stabbing someone the back as the attack begin Éclair backed up
the knights blocked one of the pillars as they started to mess with the magic seal placed on it
the chief stopped holding one stone as he quickly removed the seal, looking at Éclair when three spears struck his back. As he teleported them away and looked over them, looking around, he sighed as they left as the two landed.
"Are you okay" Éclair barely moved as the chief took out a small bottle "please, Éclair, we need you to keep going" he smiled "your life is far too tender; life is not yet through with you yet" he sighed "although h your life has been spared I fear what awaits you, my dear Éclair, may be a fate worse than death" he sighed "it was folly to worship the phoenix stones as we did and we have paid the ultimate price for it, we cannot allow others to make this same mistake?" he said "you will live until you can see that it vanishes from this world, you must destroy the phoenix stone, you cannot let that creature return, or it will doom us all?" he said as they teleported away again as Éclair finally came to looking as the chief smiled at her for the last time "take this stone," the chief had said, "take it to the boundary forest, see that it reaches the wizard Kalard," he groaned. "please, Éclair."
"with this blood, you will last forevermore."
[##Éclair, Priestess of Fate##]
' as a result of the blood of the phoenix, I lost my memory, I started wandering aimlessly, hoping to find some influence of my past, and I carried the stone with me; time seemed to move on for an eternity only marked by the graves of those I held close to my heart, an ocean of tears between us.'
End Flashback
"so that's what you meant when you said magic only brings sorrow," Lucy said
"this curse that I carry," Éclair, whispered, "was brought about by magic," Éclair, said as tears started to fill her face "it brought me nothing but pain," she cried as Lucy brought her in for a huge explosion rang out.
"We need to move," Lucy said, "it's dangerous here."
"But I know I'll live through it" Éclair, smiled "no matter what happened, these injuries will heal," she whispered, "you should just leave me here."
"no," Lucy said. "I don't abandon my friends," Lucy said
"no of us would"
[## Natsu vs. Dyst ost##]
"Damn, nothing we do is working," Natsu screamed as Happy flew him around "it's no good," he said, "we need to get in closer," he shouted.
"but then we'll be closer to him too," Happy shouted as he fived bombed again.
"then let's go," Natsu said on the ground. Gray fired an Ice cannon at the phoenix as the attack bounced off above him Juvia attended with her water whip as Gajeel and Wendy roared at the creature, which it didn't even budge.
"where the hell is Erza right now" Gray shouted.
Erza sighed as she looked at the arrow 'can I do this.' she looked at Mavis, who had an uncertain look in her eye "don't worry, ma'am," Erza said. "I can handle this," she said as she looked at the arrow one more time. a triangular arrowhead, consisting of a pointed shaft with three fins behind it, which glows blue and two white fletching's at the end of its shaft
"Erza," Mavis said, "I'm not going to lie to you, my child," Mavis said, "you understand what casting this spell will do."
"yes," Erza said, standing up. "I took a sacred oath," Erza said, "both to my family and Magnolia." she looked away "and to you" Erza finished "though I may not like you are my master now and I will follow your word"
"but it's more than that, Erza," Mavis said
"I understand," Erza said, "but it's like you told me," she said. "I must be willing to make sacrifices," she said, "and I will pray in my heart for forgiveness," she said, "but if what you told me is true, then I will gladly ease Éclair's burden" she smiled.
"Alright," Mavis said, "get into position and wait for my signal" she looked around. "Makarov and Cosmos are here, looking for Éclair as we speak."
"I will be joining them shortly" Riana informed her
"she should be with Lucy if all went to plan," Erza told her
"Alright," Mavis said, "Godspeed, Erza" Erza nodded as Mavis left
"Erza," Jet said, "are you."
"I'll be fine," Erza said, but Jet didn't fail to see her wipe a stray tear as she left him. Jet couldn't help but wonder what fairy tail did with Éclair during their time together for the past few days.
Happy let go of Natsu as he dropped to where Dyst was standing. He jumped to the side as Natsu landed a punch near him as swiped him away. Happy grabbed him "why won't you die" Dyst screamed "let your blood spring forth so I may be crowned ruler for all time," he shouted as he let out a large blast as Natsu ran through the small cracks in the phoenix's armor trying to land a punch on Dyst, he blasted him again as Natsu rolled away "it hopeless" he screamed as Natsu let out a large breath of fire at him as he appeared through the smoke grabbing him.
"looks like I got ya," Natsu said
"you dare touch me," Dyst screamed as he fired off a large blast at Natsu. As he gripped onto him as tightly as he could as he flipped him over, Natsu tried to get him.
"I'll never understand people like you," Natsu shouted, "people who only want to spread fear."
"what do you know" Dyst shouted "for my dream to come true, the lives of others do not matter to me," he screamed.
"why would you want to live forever" Natsu shouted
"because that is my destiny," Dyst cried, "to become the ruler for all time," he screamed
[## A blaze that burns evil hearts ost##]
"you are delusional," Natsu screamed "you don't have what it takes to be a ruler," Natsu shouted.
"the only thing it takes to rule is power," Dyst shouted. "I will be an immortal god among men and rule the entire world," he screamed.
"it will be wasted on you because you don't know the value of life," Natsu screamed.
"I know how to end it," Dyst screamed back. he was about to attack again when Happy slammed into him
"you hurt my friends," Natsu growled out.
"and, "Dyst said with a sinister grin on his face, "what are you going to do about it."
"I'm going to make sure you can't hurt anyone ever again," Natsu screamed as he and Dyst clashed again. Then, a giant bolt of lightning struck with the phoenix, stumbling over as Natsu looked to the side.
"Natsu," a voice called as he looked over to see Laxus standing on a building "the hell do you think you are doing" he screamed "you're chosen, son, right" he screamed, "you're wasting time. Hurry up and kick that guy's ass" he screamed ad Natsu smiled.
"I still don't have the blood of the phoenix," Dyst screamed
"you don't have any respect for human life," Natsu screamed as he charged forward, "so there is no way in hell that I can let you live forever," he cried
"you will not get in my way," he shouted as he fired off another blast as Natsu stood his ground. "I will live for all eternity," he screamed, "you and your pathic friends will not stand in my way."
"you're going down" Natsu screamed
"come on, Natsu, you can do it," Happy screamed
"{Dragon slayer secret art: crimson lotus exploding flame blade}" he screamed as he burnt Dyst away, sending him flying away as Natsu landed on the ground.
"I lost," Dyst muttered as he lost consciousness, "but I thought" he smiled as he looked at the phoenix.
"Garnet, my friend," he said
"I'm sorry."
Flashback
"my ferret, garnet," Dyst cried "my ferret died," he said "please can you help him," he asked, "please can you bring him back from the dead."
"Sorry, but" Éclair cringed. Her mind started to hurt as she shook her head, "but I'm not a wizard," she told him as he backed up "even so, there is not a magic alive that could bring your friend back to life," she said "I'm sorry" she smiled "I'm sure Garnet was glad to be loved by you."
"Please, I have to find a way to bring my ferret back to life," Dyst screamed as his parents took his ferret.
"Sorry," his mother said
"I'm sure Garnet was glad to be loved by you," his father told him.
"son, death is a part of life," his father said, "which is why we have to live life to the fullest," he smiled.
"that is why we must live our lives to the fullest," Éclair admitted, "so we have no regrets when we meet our end.
End Flashback
'Garnet, ' Dyst thought as he fell to the ground, "my friend, I will see you soon."
Natsu smiled as he fell off the phoenix being grabbed by Mira; who smiled at him as Happy grabbed him from her "you okay" he asked as Natsu nodded as they looked at the phoenix "what are we going to do about that" Happy asked "there no way we can take it down, and we don't have a way to seal it away again" Happy said, "I'm scared."
"don't worry," Mira said. "Mavis has a plan."
Erza frowned as she changed into her archery armor, a white and red cloak. She then tied her hair into a braid and pulled out a bow gripping it with all her strength. She let out a breath of air as she awaited Mavis' signal as she pulled the arrow back. "Éclair," Erza thought as she felt a single tear go down her eye.
"Forgive me"

Natsu has finally managed to beat Dyst, but a problem with the phoenix remains as our heroes get ready to stop it once and for all. What is the price that they will pay for the destruction of the phoenix, and how will it affect Éclair? Find out next time, on a fairy tail re-told
