Hey, fairy tail fans, and welcome back to a fairy tail re-told. We have hit my favorite part of the filler-esque episodes. This small section of the series is honestly the part of the show I go back to watch the most. But that's just me. What are your favorite side story parts of fairy tail? Let's get on to the story
side note am I the only one who wonders why did Alzack and Bisca ask Natsu, of all people, to watch Asuka in the original series
"I remember this place; I remember laughing under the moon in the stars and playing in all the snow, there was a funny flying snowman I wanted to play with him so bad, mommy and daddy were there to that made me so happy, then the snowman then banged the drum, and we went flying into the sky with him it made us laugh and laugh it was so much we were so happy." Asuka woke up on her ever since her parents had moved to Magnolia, she looked around the new room was a lot bigger than what she has used to then again, they used to move around all the time, but now according to them she finally had a home Asuka laid back down on the bed a smile on her face
"Asuka," Bisca's voice came into the room, "you ready for today, honey," she asked.
"yep, momma," Asuka said, "I can't wait for today."
Bells tolled around the city as Asuka waved goodbye to her parents "bye-bye mommy, bye-bye, daddy," she said as they turned to leave for a job they had recently accepted.
"Bye-bye, Darlin," they said as they started to leave "take care of our little dumpling, okay, Natsu," Bisca asked as Natsu walked up, smiling.
"sure thing," Natsu said
"be sure to bring me back lots of presents," Asuka shouted
"we will," Alzack and Bisca said again "love you," they said as they walked off
"So, kiddo," Natsu said, "you want some juice."
"yeah, juice," Asuka shouted as she ran inside the fairy pub
What a Pure heart Weaves
Asuka smiled as she finished her drink. "That was super yummy. I want another one."
"I don't know, kid," Natsu said, "drink too much and well."
"big girls, don't wet the bed," Asuka said
"I wasn't going to say that," Natsu shot back
"yes, you were," Asuka said
"He totally was," Happy said
"he can be so clueless at times," Carla added
"shut it, cat," Natsu shouted
"you are a lucky girl," Mira said, walking up to the pair "not everyone knows someone as fun as Natsu," Mira said, smiling.
"he even said that he'd buy me cake," Asuka said
"I did," Natsu asked "do you even sell cake at the bar Mira," Natsu asked
"Daddy bought me some," Asuka said
"Well, normally we do, but we ran out today," Mira told him
"well, that's my bad," Natsu said "will you take a rain check," Natsu asked
"why not go to the bakery across town" Asuka suggested
"you're crazy if you think I'm doing that, kid," Natsu said
"don't worry, guys," Wendy said, walking up to them. "I'd be more than happy to bake a cake for her," Wendy said, smiling
"I didn't know you did that sort of thing," Natsu asked
"That explains the kitchen back at home, though," Mira muttered
"While it may not be anywhere near yummy," Carla said, "it will be editable at the very least."
"wow you can bake too" Happy asked
"did you say something," Carla asked
"I mean that sounds yummy" Happy said quickly
"it's not something I do all the time," Wendy said, "but I can try," she said
"if you insist," a voice called. They turned to see Erza walking up to him. "I will gladly help you in this endeavor for cake," Erza said dramatically.
"nobody was even talking to her," Carla sighed.
"but if we are to take on this endeavor, we must make sure these are the finest cakes in all of Fiore."
"I think the real truth is you just want some too," Lily said, leaning over the side of a chair.
"but if we are to do this, we must harvest some maximum sweet strawberries," Erza said, "said to only grow over a thousand years."
"she's in her little world," Carla muttered again.
"I will embark at once," Erza said "look alive, panther lily," Erza said, "cause you're coming with me," she said
"what, why," Lily asked
"because that's why," Erza said, "I will return"
"Alright, I'm game," Natsu said when Asuka pulled on his shirt
"you're supposed to play with me, member," Asuka asked
"of course, I did" Natsu laughed
"well, I guess I should get started," Wendy said
"are success is depending on you," Erza said as she went and picked up Lilly and started to walk away "come, Lily, let us go."
"what" Lily shouted "put me down," he screamed.
"that's an odd pair," Lucy asked, "what job are they going on."
"they're going to pick strawberries," Wendy told her "we're making a cake for Asuka," Wendy said
"I see," Lucy said, "didn't see that coming "
"Alright, you little squirt," Natsu's voice rang across the pub, "time to see what you got." Natsu said as he pointed to a dartboard across the room "whoever hits the most targets wins," he said
"okay pow pow" Asuka said
"what going on here," Lucy asked.
"we're seeing if he's better with fire than her with a plastic gun," Nab told her.
"I may like ya, but it doesn't mean I'm going easy on you," Natsu said, breathing some fire to intimidate her.
"I'm not going easy either," Asuka said, "and when I win, you gotta do whatever I say," she said
"what," Natsu asked "alright, you're on," Natsu said
"she's just a kid, Natsu," Lucy said "no need to get so serious," Lucy reasoned with her partner.
"I'm not going easy on her just 'Cause she's a kid," Natsu said "that's not my style," Natsu laughed.
"Could you be any more immature right now," Lucy asked? There were times when she would put her life in Natsu's hands, but then there were times were the doofus in him would come out.
"come on, Lucy, we both know that Natsu is still a kid at heart," Happy reasoned.
"let's go" hours later, Natsu would come to regret allowing that bet to go through as he lost to Asuka pretty severely, not even touching the target, so now he was forced to go around the pub on his hands and knees, "kiddy up horsy," Asuka said as everyone laughed at Natsu predicament "make some horse noises," she said as Natsu started to nay around the pub "you can do better than that" she laughed.
"well, that goes to show not to play a player," Max laughed
"she was probably shooting targets in the womb" Nab laughed
"you're not wrong there," Lucy said "we've met her parents," she said "take it in stride, partner," Lucy said as Natsu crawled around
"now, horsey, I want to gallop all the way to south gate park," Asuka said
"what," Natsu asked "you want me to do this in public," Natsu asked. Asuka nodded. He sighed "alright, milady, hold on," Natsu said as he rushed off
"you got precious cargo there, so be careful," Macao said
"there be a bunch of hooligans causing trouble across town, so be careful," Wakaba called out
"they'll be sorry if they run into us," Natsu called as Asuka laughed as they ran out of the pub
later the group had made their way to the south gate part, where Asuka chased Natsu with her toy gun "pow, you're not getting away, Natsu."
"you got me," Natsu said, "but I'm still going," he called back to her as Happy, and Lucy watched
"Why did we agree to come with them," Lucy asked
"Cause you're scared about Natsu watching a kid," Happy told her, "and I'm telling you, he'll be fine."
"Whatever you say, cat," Lucy told him.
"wait, stop," Asuka said as Natsu stopped "jump into that lake," she said as Natsu fell into the water.
"Why would you make me do that" Natsu shouted as he shot up."
"cause you promised me," Asuka said innocently.
'This kid is getting away with murder,' Natsu said to himself as he got out of the water, 'and she knows it' as he started to dry himself off, he wasn't the biggest fan of water, but eh, he'll live as he dried off Asuka went up to Lucy and Happy.
"hey, I want to go on some jobs," Asuka asked
"I'm not too sure about that kid," Lucy said
"your still pretty young for that kind of thing," Happy said
"your no older than me, Happy," Asuka said
"why go on a job when we're here having fun," Natsu asked
"Cause there is something I want to buy, and I need money," she asked, "please."
"I'm not too sure," Lucy said, "that's something we'd need to ask your parents."
"but Natsu promised me" Asuka said
"Okay, we'll go on a job," Natsu said
"really," Asuka asked
"Just leave it to me," Happy said as he flew back to the pub "there have to be some jobs we can take the rug rat on," Happy said as he flew back. "I got a bunch of them," he said
"let's see," Natsu said as Asuka jumped up and down "the water fountain," Natsu asked. "I don't even get this one."
"I don't think little Asuka can do it," Lucy said
"don't worry," Happy said. "I know just how and what they need."
"oh no," Lucy muttered 'she is going to kill me.'
[##Lucy and the power of the celestial spirits##]
"{open gate of the water bearer: Aquarius}," Lucy shouted as Aquarius appeared on a fountain, a look of anger on her face.
"what the hell, Lucy" Aquarius screamed. "I've never been so humiliated."
"I'm sorry," Lucy said. She hated asking her spirits for stupid things. Natsu just had to go and make a bet with Asuka better, yet she just had to be dragged along with this silly plan when she could be relaxing at the pub, but no, Natsu had to babysit
"This is so romantic," a lady said
"my sweet," a man said next to her, "I've been wanting to ask you about this for a long time," he said, "please don't say now, but will you marry me."
"oh yes"
"To make it worse, I have to watch this sappy shit all day," Aquarius screamed. Who was Lucy talked into this, or was this some sort of sick joke she came up with? If so, she had to admit she was proud of her, but she was so getting her back for this.
"This fountain is p beautiful cause you are so pretty," Asuka said, "thank you, Lucy."
Hearing this, Aquarius blushed. Now she could see why this squirt right next to her. had convinced her to do it "fine, but just this once, and you ow me brat," Aquarius said
"yes, ma'am," Lucy said
Natsu later was on the floor blowing fire into the furnace in order. "I haven't been able to cook in days," a lady said
"while Natsu doing that," Happy said, "why don't we do a delivery job" happy asked
"ye haw," Asuka shouted
somewhere in the mountains near Magnolia, we find both Erza and Panther Lily looking around "so mind telling me how where we are to find these magnums, sweet."
"I think you mean maximum sweet strawberries," Erza corrected, "the legends say there is somewhere in this mountain."
"then how are we going to find them," Lily asked
"Just you watch," Erza said "no requip," Erza said as she shined in a bright light putting on a unique "armor" shaped like a giant strawberry.
"What is that," Lily asked, "Is that a strawberry armor," Lily asked, "it looks hard to move in."
"you could say that," Erza said, "the purpose of this armor is to release the sweet scent of strawberries." Erza explained, "do you understand what that will do" they turned to see a large group of Vulcans running up to them "these creatures can't respect women or strawberries, so we shall ask them," Erza said, "now Lily will apprehend those love-struck apes."
"I see," Lily said, "so that's why you brought me along," he smiled, "that all you had to say," as he shifted to his battel mode, attacking the Vulcans, all of which wanted to get to Erza.
"women that smell like strawberries, give her to me," one shouted as Erza smiled.
"I can't resist the thrills of battle," Erza said "come forth, fairy sweet dreams," she screamed as she slammed the Vulcan on the head, pushing it over as it landed on the ground.
"What a sweet defeat."
"Now tell me," Erza said, "where is the maximum sweet strawberry" Erza shouted.
"yes, ma'am"
"look how much money I got," Asuka said
"I can't believe how much we got for doing all those small jobs," Happy said
"what could you need so much money for, kid," Natsu asked "when I was around your age, I only wanted five jewels from Mavis to go to the nearest candy store or, you know, food," he admitted
"I don't want food Natsu," Asuka said. "I know just where I'm going to go buy," she smiled, "and I have all the money I want."

"and where's that" Natsu asked as she led them to a pawnshop. As her eye landed on something in the front mirror that was priced at fifty thousand jewels. as they went into the store, she smiled as the man grabbed it from the window handing it to the little girl with a smile as they left "so what is it"
"it's a beautiful snow globe," Lucy said
"is it a lacrmia" Happy asked, "it's so cool"
"it's got mommies and daddy's memories in it," Asuka told them
"So why was it in a pawn shop," Lucy asked
"I don't know," Asuka said, "but we saw when we walked past the window."
Flashback
"I don't believe it," Bisca said as they came to a stop "it's actually here," she said, getting her husband's attention.
"we've sure have come a long way since then," Alzack said as he stopped looking in the window. a smile came over their faces as they both looked at Asuka, who was looking at the tiny snow globe "but it's nothing but a beautiful memory now."
"Yeah"
End Flashback
"aww, so you just wanted to get it as a gift for your parents," Lucy said as Asuka nodded "what a sweet girl," she cried as she brought her in for a hug "come to here, your little thing" Lucy cried.
"I'm getting a little misty-eyed," Happy said
"not me, bro," Natsu said
"Hey Lucy, are you and Natsu going to kiss," Asuka asked
"what" Lucy screamed 'that's it, this brat shouldn't hang out with Mira anymore' in the pub; the girl let out a sneeze, rubbing her nose. She shrugged it off
"run that by us again, kid," Natsu asked.
"Mommie and daddy are kissing all of the time," Asuka said, "then again, it would mean cause don't you like that lady."
"what lady," Natsu asked,
"the one you're always talking about," Asuka said
"I don't know what you're talking about," Natsu said, looking away, blushing.
"if that is the case, kiss Lucy," Asuka said, "right on the lips."
"no," Natsu said quickly.
"what the hell does that mean" Lucy shouted. "I don't want to kiss you either," she exclaimed.
"whatever" Natsu said
"please" Asuka said
"look, kid, if you drop the subject, I'll buy you some ice cream tomorrow," Natsu said bending down to her level
"really," Asuka asked as Natsu nodded "yay" she screamed, jumping up. As she landed, she noticed that the globe was gone from her hands "what it's gone"
"Sorry, little girl, but this belongs to the orca wing sky pirates now," a bandit shouted as they flew away.
"The hells a sky pirate," Natsu asked.
"Those must be the hooligans that Macao and Wakaba were warning us about," Lucy said
"give it back," Asuka cried "that has Mommie and Daddy's memories in it; you can't take it away."
Wendy sighed as she placed the freshly baked cake on the counter. "I hope this taste as good as its smells," she whispered "how is the cake mix going," Wendy asked.
"it's fine. All we need are the strawberries," Carla told her
"Erza said she was getting those," Wendy said. "I hope she's doing okay."
Erza smiled as the Vulcan brought her to where the maximum sweet strawberries were told to reside. A bright light shined as she laid eyes on "I never thought I'd live to see the day," Erza said as she picked up a golden strawberry "a maximum sweet strawberry," Erza noted, "we need to deliver it at once"
"now, can you stop bossing us around"
"You'll need more firepower than that to take us down," the leader said, "this lacrmia will sell well for us in Hargeon."
"get back here," Asuka fired as her tiny buds simply bounced off the men who laughed at her. "I keep hitting them, but they're not going down," Asuka cried as Natsu walked up to her. As she started to cry, he placed her hat over her eyes "what are you doing? I can't see the bad guys," she cried again.
"Natsu," Lucy said, "what are you."
"shush," Natsu said as he counted how many were in the air. "All right, Asuka, fire off six shots," Natsu shouted as Asuka fired. Natsu shot out a small burst of fire, knocking them all down. A smile came to his face as Lucy looked in awe "nice going, ya little sharpshooter," Natsu said as Asuka lifted her hat smiling. She then blows away the smoke from her gun.
"wow," Lucy said
"I told you Natsu had it handled" Happy laughed
"so, wait," Lucy said, "all of that early was just for her," Lucy asked
"Now you're getting it," Happy said, "come on, you should know him better by now, Lucy."
"Yeah," Lucy said as she looked at her partner and Asuka, laughing, "under all that tough guy, he's just a big old softie, ain't he."
"Aye"
"well, be taking this back now," Natsu said
"you can't just take things that aren't yours," the leader screamed as Asuka shot a fake bullet into his nose.
"Thanks, kid," Natsu said "now, what was that"
"This isn't the last you'll hear of us," the leader screamed as he and his bandits were blown away.
"no doubt about it," Lucy said, "your Alzack and Bisca's kid."
"I wouldn't be surprised if she was a better shot than either of her parents," Natsu said as Asuka winked.
The sun had started to set over Magnolia as the group returned to the fairy pub. "I must say you guys have great timing," Max said. "They're just about to finish up the cake."
"We have cake," Natsu asked
"your hopeless," Lucy said
"now the cake mix needs to melt in your mouth" Erza smiled as she stated, "perfect," she said, "excellent job, ladies," as she finished the cake up before presenting the cake to Asuka, who jumped up to the stool.
"is my cake ready," Asuka said as Mira handed it to her with a smile on her face "wow, it looks so yummy."
"will you do the honors, Asuka," Wendy said as Asuka picked up the cake to eat it "be careful before it melts." Asuka took a bite out of the cake
"it's so yummy," Asuka said, "thank you."
"so, it's yummy," Erza said "that great," she muttered. "I can practically imagine the flavor," as everyone laughed at her.
"I knew it," Lily said, "she just wanted some for herself."
[##Momentary peace ost##]
"we're back," Alzack and Bisca said as they walked into the room. Asuka ran up to them, "Hey, honey."
"have you been a good girl," Alzack asked
"yep," Asuka said
"We got you a present," Bisca said
"I did too," Asuka said as she ran back to Natsu
"Thanks for looking after her today Natsu," Alzack said. "I hope she wasn't too much trouble."
"it's no problem, man," Natsu said as he handed the globe to Asuka and ran up to them.
"look what I got you," Asuka said as Alzack and Bisca looked at the globe in shock.
"where did you get that," they asked as Lucy smiled
"she conned Natsu into taking her on some jobs," Lucy told them as Natsu looked away "don't worry, they were all safe," Lucy said, "she really wanted to get this back for you guys."
"this," Alzack said as he smiled at the memory, "this was the reward for the first job Bisca, and I did together" he smiled, "it meant a lot to us."
"So then why did you give it away," Natsu asked
"something else that was important to us came up," Alzack said,
"so, you didn't want it anymore," Asuka asked as Alzack picked it up.
"no sugar," Alzack smiled "it was the only thing we could do" he smiled "thank you for looking after her, you guys."
"yeah, it means a lot," Bisca smiled as they started to leave
"don't forget Natsu, you owe me Ice-cream," Asuka called "let's play again some time."
"yeah yeah, squirt," Natsu laughed
"look at you going soft on us," Lucy laughed
"quiet you," Natsu shouted
back at their home Alzack and Bisca smiled as they watched Asuka sleep the lacrmia she bought for them over her bed "this takes me back," Bisca said
"yeah," Alzack noted, "our baby girl was fast asleep while we talked about how much we love her."
Flashback
"This is bad," Alzack said "her fever is not going down," she said, "We should just find Wendy and ask if she has the money," Alzack said
"I'm not asking her for money," Bisca said "we're in enough trouble as is," she said as she looked at the globe; it is a memory."
"But we can make a lot more of these"
End Flashback
"We love you, sweetheart."

Natsu is surprisingly good with kids. I'm pretty sure that's a trend across the anime space, but who knows? I sure don't. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the chapter, and I'll see you all next time, on a fairy tail re-told.
